Ace Combat is a great primer on settings with calculated breaks from otherwise strict reality. It's basically airborne Metal Gear.

It's a very autistic version of Undertale's Genocide route, which was an extremely autistic version of the Demon Path from Soul Nomad and the World Eaters in itself. Are you prepared to kill yourself yet? Well don't, let me explain how it happens. So you're in not-Uncommon Time, stuck in the Watcher's prison for the umpteenth time. Yes, this means the true ending was the Dragon's Dogma rip-off ending, holy fuckballs. More importantly, your character seems to have listened to too much Linkin Park because he thinks to himself "if I fuck that hooded cunt up, I can free myself!" So he goes into a new door after an unnecessary "AYO HOL UP YOU REALLY FINNA DO THIS NIGGUH" confirmation, and is immediately followed by how fucked everything is, then you choose your color of generic RPG Maker template character as usual and put in a name. Then shit gets tedious because you have to go grocery shopping for your dad again, and do border patrol. But this time your character grows some balls and fucks up the hybrid human/Grimm faggot with the good ol' reliable DUAL RANGED PISTOL KATANAS. That's when Salem conveniently enters your mind and you're railroaded into doing her shit, teleporting you to Roman's place with Neo, Emerald, Mercury, and Cinder there too.

Oh I'm sorry, were you expecting fun adventures with the White Fang? TOUGH SHIT. After being questioned by everyone but Cinder, who trusts you because you both know Salem, you're sent out with Neo, Emerald, and Mercury to fuck shit up at the initiation in the forest. You go all nothin personnel kid on Cordin after Salem reminds you that he billied Jaune. Then Pyrrha comes, wonders who you are and why you killed him, AND THEN THE FAGGOT WATCHER COMES BACK BECAUSE HE HATES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO EAT SHIT. By eat shit I mean fight Pyrrha, who gets her memories back. Along with the rest of team RWBY and JNPR, I should add. So you kill her and go back to home base. Emerald immediately tries to get Cinder to make you fuck off due to how you "KILLED UR FRIEND SO FAST OMG" which demotes her from "delicious brown" to "dindu." Cinder trusts you and then Salem goes all Cheap Trick and starts speaking through you, which makes Roman wonder why you sound like a girl until everyone gets the fuck out of dodge with Neo's help, except Cinder who you fight.

Your faggot pistol katanas don't have any use besides the basic attacks, you're now playing as Salem through the MC. You now have Life Drain which does as it says, a single-target dark spell, an AoE dark spell, and a low chance of instant death spell called Death. There's also a move that restores MP called Dark Charge. Holy DeviantArt, Batman. Also Salem is fucking OP and you'd have to be a retarded Youtuber to lose in this game. Guess what the only way to see this shitfest is at the moment? Yep, Youtube!

You kill Cinder and then go off to destroy Vale, and from here it just doesn't stop going on about how you dindu nuffins and you're just a spectator or whatever, I don't fucking know. The town's on fire and then you fight Nora and Ren, who also remember you, as mentioned. You kill them and then you find Mercury, who goes on about how he can't just escape without trying to kill you. He's piss easy to kill. Then you fight Weiss(damn), Blake(YAY!), and Yang(i-i'm not crying), and Yang's last words are about how she remembered you being a good person. A part of me wants to laugh because she says this faggot MC isn't shit, but another part of me is crying his kidneys out.

Then comes the most horrible part. Jaune comes up. And after trying to motivate himself, you run to each other. NO BATTLE. THERE'S NO BATTLE. I think one of the first things we need to figure out is who the PC is, and what's going on with the team situation. Do we come up with a while new team's worth of ocs for ourselves, or allow you to break up team composition?

If we go that route, maybe have something where you move around the emerald forest, and certain people include jnpr in on this depending on how ambitious we want to be are in certain areas. Depending on how you move around, you could be on team [G for Gray Silvermane just as a placeholder] RGBY (rugby), or GRWY (Groowvy? Idk). That could serve to add focus as well, so we don't have to manage 8+ routes at the same time

If major characters show up, it shouldn't be in a plot-relevant way. With the exception maybe of Salem, if our guys are playing a minor thorn in their side by intercepting a lesser threat. Realtalk, Tactics has been getting a shitload of attention lately. Ramza has appeared as a superboss in a Mana game, he's been added to the current Dissidia incarnation (currently Japanese arcades only but is going to get a final full release on PS4), and FFT is being ported to Steam. It's making me cautiously excited that they're gonna do something with the IP soon, and they're just gauging fan interest at the moment. The storywriter of Tactics confirmed at one point that Ramza didn't go become a hermit after surviving the final battle of FFT; he had "a whole other adventure" with Alma.
