I’m a dipshit that posted before finishing what I was typing.

I ask this because I remember owning a presidential fact book as a kid that said Bill owned a white only pool at one point in time. Now I can’t find reference anywhere to the pool, or to the book itself. Am I going crazy?

I watched Ross Perot debate Bill Clinton and George HW Bush back when it aired live....

And my ex-wife and I specifically remembered Ross Perot directly accusing Bill Clinton of having shipments of medical ampules filled with liquid methamphetamine sent to the governor's mansion in Arkansas

But now, you can't find it anywhere.. if you watch the debates, it's no longer included

When Ross Perot first mentioned the methamphetamine shipments to the Arkansas Governor's mansion, Bill Clinton tried his best to change the subject and shrug it off

I loved Ross Perot's Style.. he was like Popeye the Sailor Man, mixed with your grandfather, who would come out on the back porch, squint one eye, and tell you ONE TIME ONLY : "you boys stop your squabbling or I'll Tan Your hides!"

So he gave Clinton that classic squinted eye look, and interrupted him again, "tell America about the methamphetamine shipments to the governor's mansion"

And I forgot who the host was, but they quickly tried cutting to a different camera and moving on with the debate, as if Perot had never said a word about methamphetamine

It was very uncomfortable to say the least

but not as uncomfortable as discovering the conversation had been deleted from the debates 31 years later

(in fact I have Googled it, and tried every possible search criteria I could think of, all to no avail... I can't find a single mention of Ross Perot's methamphetamine comment during the debate, no matter how many times I've looked)

I regret getting rid of my old VCR and all the old tapes, because I had the debates recorded.. I could produce the actual comment by Ross Perot, but I foolishly disposed of my VHS player many many moons ago
