in many places, it is a greater crime to hide cp downloads with a vpn than to not use a vpn to download it. Using a vpn to hide cp downloads is a bigger crime than using a regular browser (using your normal ip address) for it.....

i don't remember the exact locations, but apparently someone mentioned on social media that many people are accessing real cp with a regular web browser (that doesn't conceal their ip address), and they mentioned that only an idiot uses a VPN/Tor to access real cp content because using a privacy app actually exponentially increases your chances of getting arrested. That's because the dark web cp sites are HEAVILY monitored by many police agencies.
