.....from as far back as 2010.....the governments keep records of all downloads/uploads from many years ago. So let's say, someone downloaded/uploaded illegal content 5 (or more) years ago, the Feds have a record of it in their data bases.
And they can look this up (relatively easily). Those huge data bases contain records of all downloads/uploads on the Internet, and they are just expanding the amount of digital records being kept.
Essentially, the governments know about all of your illegal downloads/uploads; it is impossible to hide this from them. The only reason a search warrant hasn't happened (yet) is because they haven't decided to conduct one yet.
