> Don't be urself
I'm good with who and what I am.
Just like societies believed it was ok that humans should be owned as property, just like they believed it was ok to kill women accused of witchcraft, just like they believed it was ok to bully and brutalize other people if they were gay or brown, just like all the other times societies got shit very very wrong, this is just another one of those times.
Responding to acts of love and pleasure with acts of violence is a pervasive issue.
You don't even present enough information to demonstrate you know enough about the subject to form a credible opinion. If you had an ounce of thoughtfulness, you'd take time to really think about the "why" behind the taboo.
Human sexuality isn't some light switch that stays flipped off for the first 17 years, 364 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds of someone's life, only to be flipped on one second later.
I could orgasm at 6, and it was pretty awesome even then. Nothing came out, but that radiating, intense pleasure wave is uniquely unmistakable.
If you're up for some actual research:
https://publications.aap.org/pediatricsinreview/article-abstract/23/4/148/75657/Unveiling-the-Secrecy-Behind-Masturbation
Quote from that published article on a peer reviewed Science Journal dedicated to the study of Pediatrics:
"Normal 3- to 4-year-old children have an innate need to explore both their parents’ and their own bodies. Sexual curiosity is a manifestation of this need. At 4 to 6 years of age, children perform sexually related behaviors, such as touching their genitals, scratching their private parts, and masturbating with their hands or by rubbing against objects or their parents."
Note the use of the phrase "innate need"? We are born sexual, and curious about it. Prohibiting humans from experiencing sexual stimulation before some arbitrary age is an exercise in futility.
