We are all sinners who have earned God’s wrath. We cannot keep God’s perfect Law.

“The Lord looks down from heaven

on all mankind

to see if there are any who understand,

any who seek God.

All have turned away, all have become corrupt;

there is no one who does good,

not even one.” (Psalm 14:2-3 NIV)

“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.” (Romans 3:19-20 NIV)

But God still loves us. So much so that He sent down His Only Son, Jesus Christ, a Lamb without spot, to suffer and die for us. Trust in Jesus Christ. If you trust in Him, your sinful nature has died on the cross with Him, and His perfect righteousness is declared yours so that you are pure and holy in the Father’s sight.

“We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” (Acts 10:39-43 NIV)

“For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.” (Romans 3:28 NIV)
