I can't really use 4chan because of the captchas and suspect that it is dead (mostly bots conversing).

People just don't know this site exists, sadly. Halfchan is way more mainstream, but it is indeed mostly bots or people who might as well be bots these days.

Not entirely sure. This site is great! 4Chan has become borderline unusable as seen in the image attached. I'm glad that this site doesn't have this problem.

The thing that bothers me is how that there are literal billions of people on the internet, and the at very least hundreds of millions of English speaking users that are all on instagram or tikok or some other mainstream platform.

everything else is left with a few tens of thousands of users.

I swear there are probably like maybe 30K users worldwide that frequent the same niche forums.

This thought has also struck me from time to time. How can there be so many sites with hardly any users? Chan sites are reasonably well known, require such little effort to post on with zero commitment and yet, hardly any posters.

I guess it would support the idea that 99.9% of people are essentially crammed into the same few mainstream internet sites and hardly anyone moves outside into the deadzone but still, it just seems eerie and strange that perfectly functional sites that do have some users essentially are used by under 100 or under 50 people on a monthly basis when you think about how many people there are in the world and on the internet. They could be here with a few clicks and yet, empty.

Makes me existential and conspiratorial.

but youtube agressively hide anything about 8kun and qanon, theres only a few news talking talking bad and nothing more

its nearly impossible use yt to talk about this site, idk about other medias, but if had at least a ytber with 100k subs talking about here at least once a month, this site would have much more users

I think instagram and tiktok today are stimulant drugs or bio weapons. They are masquerading as social networks but people are there to get their receptors milked. The algorithm pushes you to consume entropy, its like a brain massage. You scroll for a minute and you are exposed to 10-20 totally different things making your brain light up rapidly in different areas making you numb, thats why its also a great tool for escapism. The chans and forums are not like that, its oldschool internet. I agree that its ridiculous and such a waste of potential that 99.9% are crammed to those sites

If you really want to know the reason. 8chan basically fractured after 8chan.net died.

There's the webring, (tvch.moe, smuglo.li etc) and vch.moe/8chan.moe (mark's man pit)

The issue was that no one was able to absorb all of 8chan and unify it. 8chan.moe is absolutely pathetic at this point, it's basically a vtuber, gatcha and loli chan, and it's basically filled with Indonesians the same ones that argue online about lolicon and watch chibi reviews. Honestly it's pathetic seeing 8chan.moe in such a state.

But a lot of the 8chan.net culture that wasn't that it wasn't really mark man and acids plaything

In general that culture slowly died off and just got destroyed to smithereens. The webring by it's nature of being a fractured secret club naturally died off as people aged off and died.

8kun /random/ isn't that bad. Considering everything, the threads on this board aren't horrifically bad. And people are more down to earth than on 8chan.moe

Honestly it's a bit funny as this site is just the remains of qboomer stuff.
