The last time I dug on this, we were trying to figure out the purpose of those mounds and the hospital on the base was discussed at length - its size, how modern it is, and its location, all point to major support for child trafficking. Especially in this arena, it isn't always about reverence for the person. In the case of Ed, I have absolutely no idea who any of them are. It is respect, not reverence; the respect is for what they know, what knowledge they have access to - and even that, as a defined known, is coming from my own imagination. Yes, they did exist. It was because of Marcinko's books that the name was changed to ‘Naval Special Warfare Development Group’ , DEVGRU. This was done to misdirect further public scrutiny (resulting from Marcinko's books) in 1987. So, there hasn't been a Seal Team 6 since 1987. Yet the public still refers to them as such. The oldest trick in the book.
