The United States on Thursday blacklisted 20 Iran- and Iraq-based companies, officials and individuals, accusing them of supporting terrorist groups and ramping up pressure on Tehran even as the Islamic Republic battles the coronavirus outbreak.

The US Treasury Department said in a statement that the individuals and entities supported Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and its elite foreign paramilitary and espionage arm, the Quds Force, as well as transferred lethal aid to Iran-backed militias in Iraq, including Kataib Hezbollah and Asaib Ahl al-Haq.

Treasury said the people and entities were involved in smuggling weapons to Iraq and Yemen and selling US-blacklisted Iranian oil to the Syrian government, among other activities.

The sanctions freeze any US-held assets of those designated and generally bar Americans from doing business with them.

Two weeks after the U.S. told a handful of Chinese state media entities to slash their U.S.-based staff, Beijing has retaliated with an order of its own: Certain U.S. nationals working with The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post have been banned from working in China.

The Chinese foreign ministry announced the order early Wednesday local time, saying that any U.S. citizens who are working for the trio of publications inside China and whose credentials are set to expire by the end of the year must relinquish their credentials within 10 days and halt their reporting within its borders — as well as within the semi-autonomous regions of Hong Kong and Macao.

The ministry also demanded that the three newspapers — as well as Voice of America and Time magazine — submit written details about their China-based staff and operations to Chinese authorities, in what a ministry spokesperson described as "entirely necessary and reciprocal countermeasures."

So, assuming that China removed American informants who were loyal to our country means they were exposed somehow. (CF?) From Chinas perspective they feel better because they cleaned house so to speak.

Now, more recently they send home some, "journalists." Assuming they already knew who the loyal Americans were and removed them, why did they send these journalists back here?

I can only presume that since we expelled some Chinese state media entities they were probably caught spying and were sent home. China, for their part sent, back to us, Americans from those three news outlets because they were working for the Chinese as their assets. Spies for spies. The only difference being that the spies China sent back to us was not for repatriotizing, but to face criminal charges I would suspect considering how corrupt those three media sources are.

All across the United States people are spending a lot more time in their homes and will be there for the foreseeable future.

As such, many people are looking for new activities to occupy their time, including ways of staying fit. Thankfully the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has an app for that.

Those of us who simply can’t do sit-ups and push-ups on our own and are somehow unable to download one of the numerous fitness apps out there that aren’t associated with the U.S. government finally have an option.

On Monday, the FBI promoted an app on Twitter for #MotivationMonday. According to their tweet, the app provides users with “tips for indoor workouts” and “exercises you can do at home.”

The tweet links to an FBI.gov page that advertises the Bureau’s Physical Fitness Test app that “will help you learn the benchmarks of the official FBI Physical Fitness Test.”

According to the website, the app includes videos of FBI trainers who work at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, take the fitness test with the actual FBI scoring system, and “use your phone’s GPS and accelerometer for a more realistic PFT experience.”

Jonathan Cox, chief of the FBI Office of Public Affairs unit that worked with the FBI’s Training and Human Resources Divisions to create the app explained:

In an increasingly mobile technological environment, FBI apps help the public connect with us on the devices they use so frequently—their cell phones and tablets. Although physical fitness test instructions are available online, the app adds an interactive, mobile element to learning more about this important test.

“Whether you’re an aspiring agent” or “a fitness enthusiast curious about agent training,” you too can “train like an agent” from the comfort of your home while quarantined thanks to the FBI’s Physical Fitness Test app.

The app is available in both the App Store and Google Play. And according to the FBI, it doesn’t collect personal user data and reportedly operates in accordance with FBI.gov’s privacy policy.

However, some Twitter users weren’t so quick to trust the Bureau with their data and understandably questioned the motives behind the app.

Coronavirus row helps topple Kosovo government

The government of Kosovo has collapsed after a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Albin Kurti was backed by a majority of MPs.

The vote was brought by a junior coalition partner angered by Mr Kurti's approach to tackling the coronavirus outbreak.

It comes only two months after the government was sworn in.

It is not clear how the political impasse will be resolved as elections cannot be held because of the pandemic.

Sweden is the one country in the world that do not take strong measures against the virus. My personal evidence that it is real is my neighbours saying their son in a bigger city has it, so not 100%, but still.
