Exclusive footage showing WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in London’s high security Belmarsh prison has been obtained by Ruptly. It was filmed on a device by a fellow inmate who describes himself as a supporter of the whistleblower.
The video shows Julian Assange having a conversation with another inmate. It also shows the whistleblower inside a cell, which contains a bed with a thin blue mattress, as well as other images of the prison’s interior. Ruptly could not independently verify whether the images were of Assange's cell.
The footage appears to have been filmed before Assange was reportedly moved to the prison’s medical ward last week after his health deteriorated. WikiLeaks said that he lost weight dramatically and was incapable of even holding a conversation.
Although the timestamp on the video says ‘2017,’ Ruptly believes this discrepancy to be due to a faulty setting on the recording device and that the video was shot inside Belmarsh prison, where Assange arrived in April 2019.
Ruptly has not been able to verify if Assange is aware of the existence of the footage.

The Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton (WMSL-753) crew offloaded approximately 26,000 pounds of seized cocaine and 1,500 pounds of seized marijuana Thursday at Port Everglades.
The drugs were interdicted in international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean off the coasts of Mexico, Central and South America and include contraband seized and recovered in over a dozen interdictions of suspected drug smuggling vessels by U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy ships:
The cutter Hamilton was responsible for four cases, seizing approximately 1,400 pounds of marijuana and some 9,000 pounds of cocaine.
The Coast Guard Cutter Resolute (WMEC-620) was responsible for four interdictions seizing approximately 7,550 pounds of cocaine.
Her Majesty's Canadian Ship Whitehorse with a U.S. Coast Guard law enforcement detachment aboard interdicted two suspected smuggling boats seizing more than 2,000 pounds of cocaine.
HMCS Yellowknife, also with a Coast Guard law enforcement detachment aboard, was responsible for one interdiction seizing more than 50 pounds of marijuana.
The Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk (WMEC-913) was responsible for five cases, seizing nearly 8,600 pounds of cocaine.
“The crew of Hamilton has shown the utmost commitment and dedication to the Coast Guard and to the United States over the course of the last three months," said Capt. Mark Gordon, commanding officer of the cutter Hamilton. "It is incredibly difficult for our crew to be separated from family and loved ones for such an extended period of time, but their perseverance and enthusiasm to conducting this mission was fundamental to our success. Without their determination these criminal organizations would continue to spread fear and violence throughout the Americas.”
The cutter Hamilton’s crew along with those of the other ships conducted operations targeting transnational criminal organizations in conjunction with Joint Interagency Task Force-South, Department of Defense, Customs and Border Protection, Department of Justice, and a number of other Coast Guard aircraft, the Ecuadorian Coast Guard, and the Costa Rican Coast Guard. Planning a cruise to Cuba? You’re likely out of luck.
The U.S. government will no longer allow cruise ships to travel from American ports to Cuba, as part of a new series of travel-related sanctions announced Tuesday. The restrictions were implemented in response to the Cuban government’s continued support for Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, the Miami Herald reported MNI, -6.10% .
“As a result of the rule on display on the Federal Register today, cruise ships as well as recreational and pleasure vessels are prohibited from departing the U.S. on temporary sojourn to Cuba effective tomorrow,” a Commerce Department spokesperson told MarketWatch late Tuesday.
Representatives for the Treasury Department, which also regulates travel between the U.S. and Cuba, did not return request for comment.
An administration official also told the Miami Herald that the policy change was made because the Cuban government directly profited off cruise companies, as the companies had to pay fees to dock in the country. Most of the country’s ports are controlled by Cuba’s military, the official said.
The Cruise Line Industry Association said that the U.S. policy change came without warning and has forced cruise lines to eliminate all Cuba destinations from their itineraries effective immediately, affecting roughly 800,000 passenger bookings that are scheduled or already underway. “While this situation is completely beyond our control, we are genuinely sorry for all cruise line guests who were looking forward to their previously booked itineraries to Cuba,” the organization said in an emailed statement.
Americans gained the ability to cruise to Cuba in 2015 when President Obama’s administration began allowing cruise lines to get people-to-people licenses to travel to the Caribbean country, according to travel website Cruise Critic. The Department of Treasury said Tuesday that it would no longer authorize these specific licenses that allowed for certain forms of educational travel to Cuba.
People can still travel to the country, though they must be visiting Cuba for a specific, authorize reason, such as to visit family or for journalistic purposes.
The Treasury Department did include a “grandfathering” provision in the policy change, which would allow consumers who had completed at least one travel-related transaction prior to Jun 5, such as purchasing a flight, to still go on their trip. That provision did not extend to cruise lines.

The original coinage act specified that the government was to make mints available for people to coin currency to a standard. If you were to bring silver or gold into the mint, it could be coined as legal tender valid for satisfying debts in the eyes of the law.
Crypto is no different than an asset. It is what it is. I do not believe it will replace the dollar, but I do believe it will play a critical role in the world moving forward. anons - here is my understanding of how gold will effect the power and preatices of the fed - the main thing the fed does EVERY DAY is sell us govt. bonds - each bond is a DEBT that must be paid with interest by we the american people. Big banks and other govts. buy most of the bonds. The "money" from these sales goes to the govt. - the federal budget is so fucked up that these bonds MUST continue to be sold to pay day to day expenses of the govt and that is why our budget "deficit" keeps rising - there is NO fiscal responsibility in Congress and has not been for many decades. Big banks and the fed are happy with this - WE THE PEOPLE are getting screwed.
Yes the Fed also BUYS bonds back but this is just a trick - they buy to increase the so called "money supply" so banks can make their own balance sheets look better (think stock values for rich fucks) at least for a quarter or so….
All of this is done on the "good faith and credit" of the US govt - that is WE THE PEOPLE. There are NO actual assets securing the bonds but since these "assets" are on the books it allows the trearuty to pay bills and print MOAR paper money - again all on credit.
To compare - when WE THE PEOPLE buy a home or a car we also issue a "bond" but it is called a Promissory Note - same thing - but in order to get that money we must also OFFER THE CAR OR HOME AS "COLLATERAL" (AKA "SECURITY") for the debt (bond/note) That was if we do not pay the bank seizes the property and sells it to pay the debt - as an aside consider the role of the DOWN PAYMENT - this is so WE THE PEOPLE have skin in the game and do not want to lose it AND to cover the banks expenses if we do. (except when the govt. ORDERS banks to give loans to non-qualified borrowers with NO down payment who default then WE THE PEOPLE have to pay it back - again with MOAR DEBT - think 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis)
Now I am NOT against leanding money at interest (I AM against usury which is charging illegal or super high interest) BUT the sole purpose of DEBT is to FINANCE a CAPITAL ASSET! This is GAAP (accounting and tax) 101 - long term assets are good to finance to spread the cost of the assets over its (long) useful life. And the IRS ONLY allows us to treat LONG TERM assets this way.
NOW contrast this with a business that is bleeding cash - yes like the US govt.!!! In the past they borrowed (issued bonds) to pay for CAPITAL ASSETS just like WE THE PEOPLE - the only exception to that was WAR EXPENSE - which was an acceptable short term ER spending. Now see why ROTH wants wars? They have used WAR lending as a trap for centuries to justify more borrowing and more spending.
So we now find ourselves borrowing money not for CAPITAL ASSETS but also FOR EVERY DAY OPERATING EXPENSES. That is bad - very very bad - as common sense tell us all. Unsustainable. Yet the FED keeps us right there and supports the blood sucking spending of the US Congress - year after year - bubbles form - they break - WE THE PEOPLE lose and GM or bansk get a bail out with MOAR DEBT FROM THE GOVT.
POTUS knows all this - and that is why he knows GOLD will stop this cycle - because once the govt. is forced to hold physical GOLD to back their paper dollars (remember a dollar bill is a loan by the govt.) - the "LOAN" IS THEN SECURED - NOT ONLY IS THERE A DOWN PAYMENT BUT THE DOLLAR IS FULLY SECURED. Once this becomes a LEGAL requirement then there can be no more fake unsecured paper money issued by the Treasury and the budgets will have to be balanced - balanced by THE GOLD. In other words if we have 1 trillion dollars in GOLD we can issue 1 trillion dollard of greenbacks - thats it - no more gold no more greenbacks. SOLID STABLE currency.
This will require RESTRUCTURE of the FED so that they are no longer permitted to sell UNSECURED BONDS - again exceptions can be made for CAPITAL ASSETS and yes, ER/WAR expenses. But NO MORE endless supplies of fake money backed by future generations.

Drinking coffee might keep us up at night, but new research has given us a reason to sleep easy knowing that the popular drink isn't as bad for our arteries as some previous studies would suggest.
The research from Queen Mary University of London has shown that drinking coffee, including in people who drink up to 25 cups a day, is not associated with having stiffer arteries.
The research, led by Professor Steffen Petersen, was presented today at the British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) Conference in Manchester and part-funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Arteries carry blood containing oxygen and nutrients from your heart to the rest of your body. If they become stiff, it can increase the workload on the heart and increase a person's chance of having a heart attack or stroke.
The study of over 8,000 people in the UK debunks previous studies that claimed drinking coffee increases arterial stiffness. Previous suggestions that drinking coffee leads to stiffer arteries are inconsistent and could be limited by lower participant numbers, according to the team behind this new research.
Coffee consumption was categorised into three groups for the study. Those who drink less than one cup a day, those who drink between one and three cups a day and those who drink more than three. People who consumed more than 25 cups of coffee a day were excluded, but no increased stiffening of arteries was associated with those who drank up to this high limit when compared with those who drank less than one cup a day.
The associations between drinking coffee and artery stiffness measures were corrected for contributing factors like age, gender, ethnicity, smoking status, height, weight, how much alcohol someone drank, what they ate and high blood pressure.
Of the 8,412 participants who underwent MRI heart scans and infrared pulse wave tests, the research showed that moderate and heavy coffee drinkers were most likely to be male, smoke, and consume alcohol regularly.
Dr. Kenneth Fung, who led the data analysis for the research at Queen Mary University of London, said:
"Despite the huge popularity of coffee worldwide, different reports could put people off from enjoying it. Whilst we can't prove a causal link in this study, our research indicates coffee isn't as bad for the arteries as previous studies would suggest.
"Although our study included individuals who drink up to 25 cups a day, the average intake amongst the highest coffee consumption group was 5 cups a day. We would like to study these people more closely in our future work so that we can help to advise safe limits."
Professor Metin Avkiran, Associate Medical Director at the British Heart Foundation, said:
"Understanding the impact that coffee has on our heart and circulatory system is something that researchers and the media have had brewing for some time.
"There are several conflicting studies saying different things about coffee, and it can be difficult to filter what we should believe and what we shouldn't. This research will hopefully put some of the media reports in perspective, as it rules out one of the potential detrimental effects of coffee on our arteries."

The Wall Street Journal reports that banks have become much less active participants in the repo market, which is a critical source of short-term liquidity for big investors.

As part of this series of hearings and testimony, the Committee plans to speak with fact witnesses, national security experts, and others connected to the Special Counsel’s investigation to elucidate the issues and findings in the first volume of the report. This is the second open hearing in the series; the first focused on the Kremlin’s use of oligarchs and money to influence foreign actors. A subsequent hearing will explore the facts discussed in the report about Russian intrusions into U.S. elections infrastructure. The Committee also plans to consider targeted legislative initiatives designed to respond to the counterintelligence concerns highlighted by Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
Chairman Adam Schiff staid in a statement:
“Since the release of the Mueller report, the American public has learned much about the President’s conduct, his campaign’s interactions with Russia and that nation’s interference in our election and affairs. The evidence has been both criminal and non-criminal, and implicated deep counterintelligence concerns over the potential compromise of U.S. persons. Robert Anderson was named executive assistant director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch at FBI Headquarters by then-FBI Director James Comey in 2014.

June 7 (UPI) – The USS Chancellorsville, a guided-missile cruiser, came within 50 to 100 feet of a Russian destroyer, the Admiral Vinogradov, in a near-collision Friday in the Philippine Sea, the U.S. 7th Fleet said.
Russia, however, claims the Chancellorsville hindered the passage of the Vinogradov in the East China Sea.
The Russian anti-submarine ship made an "unsafe maneuver" against the Chancellorsville at approximately 11:35 a.m. local time, the U.S. Navy said in a news release.
The Chancellorsville was recovering its helicopter on a steady course and speed when the Russian ship maneuvered from behind and to the right of Chancellorsville, accelerated and closed to an "unsafe distance," the Navy said. The Chancellorsville was forced to execute all engines back full and to maneuver to avoid collision.
"We consider Russia's actions during this interaction as unsafe and unprofessional and not in accordance with the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 'Rules of the Road,' and internationally recognized maritime customs," the U.S. Navy said.
The United States and Russia couldn't even agree on where the incident happened.
Within the Philippines Sea and the East China Sea are the Senakaku Islands, which are also known as the Diaoyu islands in China, to the south of Japan and east of Taiwan.
"The US cruiser Chancellorsville suddenly changed its course and crossed the Admiral Vinogradov destroyer's course some 50 meters away from the ship. In order to prevent a collision, the Admiral Vinogradov's crew was forced to conduct an emergency maneuver," the Russian press service said.
International maritime law requires ships to maintain a safe distance, normally interpreted as 1,000 yards, when passing another. Also, navies are not to interfere with another ship conducting flight operations.
"The Russians normally harass our ships when they are operating in waters the Russian consider to be within their sphere of Influence, Carl Schuster, a retired US Navy captain and former director of operations at the U.S. Pacific Command's Joint Intelligence Center, told CNN. Those areas are the Black Sea, Barents Sea and the waters off Validvostok.

The wife of House Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings is facing new allegations of self-dealing and perjury following the disclosure of financial dealings between her charity and her for-profit consulting firm, according to an IRS complaint a watchdog group filed Friday in response to a Daily Caller News Foundation report.
The National Legal and Policy Center’s complaint is an amendment to its original May 20 complaint against Maya Rockeymoore Cummings’s charity, the Center for Global Policy Solutions (CGPS), which alleged that the nonprofit’s overlapping relationship with her for-profit company, Global Policy Solutions, LLC, could have derived an “illegal private benefit” for her and her husband.
The NLPC’s amended complaint filed Friday highlights the charity’s audited financial reports, first reported by TheDCNF, which detail how it paid Rockeymoore Cummings’s for-profit venture over $250,000 in “management fees” between 2013 and 2015.
TheDCNF’s report on the arrangement “increases the imperative for an immediate Internal Revenue Service investigation,” the NLPC stated in its amended complaint.
The amended complaint states that Rockeymoore Cummings “appears to have been paid twice for the same services,” noting that she collects a “substantial full-time salary” from her charity on top of the 5% management fee it pays her for-profit venture.
For example, Rockeymoore Cummings earned a salary of $152,155 from her charity in 2015, according to its Form 990 tax return that year. Also in 2015, her charity paid her consulting firm $78,178 in “management fees,” according to its audited financial statements.
“It’s self-dealing. It’s taking the charity’s resources and turning them into personal profits,” NLPC investigator Tom Anderson previously told TheDCNF. “IRS law doesn’t allow a charity for this purpose. This isn’t for the public interest, this is for her personal interest. You can’t do that.”

25 injured as explosion rocks Swedish city of Linkoping, bomb squad investigating
The bomb squad has been dispatched to the scene to investigate an explosion in Linkoping, a town in southern Sweden. At least 25 people are confirmed injured, RT.com writes.
The shockwave from the large blast, which took place at roughly 9am local time, destroyed nearby windows and balconies and damaged other buildings. Some 20 ambulances were also sent to the scene with at least six fire tenders in support. The police have confirmed that at least 25 people sustained injuries in the blast.
“I stood in the shower and noticed that the whole house shook. It rumbled like thunder,” witness Pontus Johansson told Aftonbladet.
Police have cordoned off several blocks in the immediate area but there are, as yet, no plans to evacuate local residents.
“We started to get a large number of calls from people about a heavy explosion in central Linköping, on Hamngatan,” said Björn Öberg at the police’s management center.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known but it bears the hallmarks of gang-related attacks that have become prevalent in Sweden in recent years. Local resident Pyo Stranding posted on Twitter that it was a “terrorist attack,” though that has not been confirmed.Several people were hospitalized after the incident but the type and extent of their injuries remains unclear.

The video shows Julian Assange having a conversation with another inmate. It also shows the whistleblower inside a cell, which contains a bed with a thin blue mattress, as well as other images of the prison’s interior. Ruptly could not independently verify whether the images were of Assange's cell.
The footage appears to have been filmed before Assange was reportedly moved to the prison’s medical ward last week after his health deteriorated. WikiLeaks said that he lost weight dramatically and was incapable of even holding a conversation.
Although the timestamp on the video says ‘2017,’ Ruptly believes this discrepancy to be due to a faulty setting on the recording device and that the video was shot inside Belmarsh prison, where Assange arrived in April 2019.
Ruptly has not been able to verify if Assange is aware of the existence of the footage.
Stills images of the video have already been published by a number of outlets.
Assange has been serving a 50-week sentence for breaching bail in 2012. He is facing an extradition request from the US on charges of violating the US Espionage Act by publishing classified military and diplomatic documents in 2010.

Judicial Watch today released documents from the U.S. Department of Justice in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request showing the removal of Bruce Ohr from the position of Associate Attorney General in 2017; his transfer from Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force to International Affairs in 2018; and that Ohr received a total of $42,520 in performance bonuses during the Trump/Russia investigation. Ohr’s bonus nearly doubled from $14,520 (received in November 2015) to $28,000 in November 2016.
The released documents were Notification of Personnel Action (SF-50) and Request for Personnel Action (SF-52) forms that were FOIA requested by Judicial Watch in January 2018.
The documents show that on November 13, 2016, Ohr was given a performance award of $28,000. This was during the time of his deep involvement in the highly controversial Justice Department surveillance of the Trump presidential campaign. The bonus was nearly double the $14,250 performance award he was given on November 29, 2015.
Bruce Ohr was married to Nellie Ohr of Fusion GPS and was removed because of his conflict of interest and role as conduit for Fusion GPS material. The documents show that Ohr was removed from his position as Associate Deputy Attorney General on December 6, 2017. On January 7, 2018, Ohr was reassigned from his position of director of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and shifted to Counselor for International Affairs in the Department of Justice Criminal Division. Ohr received a $2,600 pay increase.
Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie Ohr, who was contracted by oppo research firm Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Donald Trump, worked together to promote the phony, Hillary-funded dossier during the 2016 election.

The US Treasury Department has slapped sanctions on Iran’s largest and, according to Washington, “most profitable” petrochemical holding group, for allegedly supporting terrorism.
Announced by the Treasury Department on Friday, the sanctions punish Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) for allegedly providing financial support to Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), formally designated as a “foreign terrorist organization” by Washington in April.
In addition, the sanctions target PGPIC’s “vast network” of 39 subsidiary companies and foreign sales agents. Altogether, these companies hold 40 percent of Iran’s total petrochemical production, and are responsible for 50 percent of the country’s petrochemical exports.
Reiterating familiar claims, the Treasury Department stated that “the profits from these activities support the IRGC’s full range of nefarious activities, including the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their means of delivery, support for terrorism, and a variety of human rights abuses, at home and abroad.”
Months before designating the IRGC a terrorist group, Washington had Iran’s oil industry in its crosshairs. The sector was sanctioned heavily after the US pulled out of the JCPOA, or Iran nuclear deal, last year, a move that dealt a severe blow to the country’s oil-dependent economy. Speaking in France on Thursday, President Donald Trump declared that Iran “is failing as a nation” due to the economic penalties.
US-Iran tensions have risen of late, with Washington beefing up its military might in the Middle East as a “warning” to Tehran. As the US cited unspecified “threats” from Iran, the Islamic Republic’s leadership traded verbal blows with Trump, but insisted that war would not break out.
Earlier this week, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that his country will continue to resist sanctions, and will not be brought to the negotiating table by economic pressure. "Standing and resisting the enemy's excessive demands and bullying is the only way to stop him," Khamenei said.

A suspect was killed in a gunfire battle with Border Patrol agents this week, while attempting to illegally smuggle two Chinese citizens into the U.S. through Mexico.
What are the details?
Officials said 23-year-old American citizen Travis James Eckstein opened fire on agents Monday evening, after refusing to stop for an inspection of his pickup truck at the San Ysidro Port of Entry between San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico.
NBC News reported that after Eckstein drove across the border, he began firing shots while still inside the vehicle, then got out of his truck and began shooting at federal agents who returned fire, hitting him. San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel and CBP officers attempted life-saving measures, but Eckstein died at the scene.
None of the seven Border Patrol officers involved in the incident were injured.
Two Chinese nationals, ages 18 and 27, were discovered hidden in the back of the truck and found to have no legal status to enter the U.S. The men were not injured and taken into custody by Border Patrol.

Judges Toss West Point Rape Conviction: No One Heard Her Struggle
A cadet who was sentenced to 21 years in prison for raping a sleeping classmate has reportedly returned to the school after three military judges overturned his conviction.
Jacob Whisenhunt was in the class of 2019 when he allegedly attacked a female cadet in her sleeping bag during Cadet Field Training at Camp Buckner on July 7, 2016. The Nebraska native was convicted in May 2017 by a jury of six West Point staff and faculty. A spokesman for the U.S. Military Academy confirmed Whisenhunt’s return on Wednesday to the Associated Press.
On Monday, a panel of three U.S. military judges ruled that the intercourse could not be considered rape beyond a reasonable doubt because there were so many squad mates in “close proximity” and the victim did not make any noise or audibly struggle hard enough, “which would have alerted multiple others” to the alleged rape. The judges’ ruling was first reported on Wednesday by the Military Times.
“It is hard to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that [Whisenhunt] could complete the charged offenses without cooperation or detection,” the panel wrote. “There is no evidence that appellant threatened [the victim] or took any steps, such as covering her mouth, to prevent an outcry.”
The judges also wrote that their belief was supported by the fact that Whisenhunt didn’t try to hide his identity and then left his semen on the woman’s sleeping bag. “There is no evidence that he tried to remove this evidence,” the panel said. The judges said they did not believe Whisenhunt would have so brazenly attacked a female cadet without hiding his identity or removing the evidence.
“To be convinced of appellant’s guilt, we would have to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that the sexual acts could plausibly occur (and would not be discovered) without active cooperation from both parties,” the judges wrote.
During the trial, according to the Army Times, the woman said she froze when she awoke to find Whisenhunt penetrating her with his finger and then with his penis—and that she “remained frozen in the fetal position during the entire assault.”
Whisenhunt, meanwhile, reportedly testified that the sex was the result of “escalating and consensual touchings.”
At the time of Whisenhunt’s conviction, West Point spokesman Lt. Col. Christopher Kasker said the 21-year sentence “reflects the seriousness of the crimes of sexual assault and rape.”
Retired Air Force Col. Don Christensen, who serves as the president of advocacy group Protect Our Defenders, which aims to give a voice to survivors of sexual assault, noted that the judges’ ruling sets a legal precedent within the Army and called the written opinion “victim-blaming.”
Christensen said he believes the case will negatively affect the rate of survivors coming forward.
“There are so few convictions in the first place in the military,” he added. “Last year there were 108 convictions for sexual assault or rape in the military out of over 6,000 reports. So it’s really disheartening to see a conviction overturned on the whim of judges who weren’t even there for the trial.”
“These judges are out of touch and see themselves as the last bastion against political correctness, versus looking at the legal issues,” he continued. “It’s becoming more common for the service courts to overturn these cases on factual sufficiencies.”
“Most civilian courts do not have this authority, and that’s for a reason,” Christensen added.
Incidents of sexual assault and unwanted sexual contact at American military academies have increased by 47 percent since 2016, the Pentagon announced in January.
Most of those allegations came from West Point, which saw an increase in sexual-assault reports for the fourth year in a row, according to the report.
There were 50 cases reported in the 2017-2018 school year, compared with 26 complaints made during the 2015-2016 school year.

US Gives Turkey Two Months to Drop S-400 Deal With Russia - Report
Earlier, acting US Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has formally informed Turkey that it will not be allowed to buy F-35 fighter jets if it goes ahead with plans to purchase Russian S-400 air defense systems.
The United States gave Turkey time untill the 31th of July to backtrack on S-400 missile deal, media report citing Pentagon.
In December 2017, Moscow and Ankara signed a loan agreement for the delivery of the S-400 air defense systems to Turkey. The first shipments of the S-400 are expected in June. In spite of the US threats to impose sanctions against Ankara, Turkish officials have said that purchasing of military equipment is a sovereign right and ruled out the possibility of abandoning plans to acquire the S-400 systems.
Washington has reportedly given Ankara a chance to either abandon the S-400 deal with Russia until the end of the first week of June or face penalties, which would include sanctions, removal from Lockheed Martin's F-35 jet program and canceling the delivery of 100 F-35 jets.
Earlier in the day acting US Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan wrote in a letter to his Turkish counterpart Defense Minister Hulusi Akar that while the US seeks "to maintain our valued relationship, Turkey will not receive the F-35 if Turkey takes delivery of the S-400".

Social media users are quarreling over a D-Day proclamation signed by 16 world leaders that showed President Trump’s signature alone at the top of the document, while the others signed the bottom of the page.
Leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel signed the symbolic proclamation in a grouping at the bottom of the page, but Trump’s signature was emblazoned above the text of the document, leading some to critique the president while others came to his defense. Some pointed out that there appeared to be little room at the bottom of the proclamation.
It is not immediately clear why Trump’s signature is at the top or the order in which the leaders signed the document. The president visited Europe this week to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day and meet with leaders, including Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family.

Anyone still wondering which side Mueller is on? Look at the chain of events.
1. Mueller meets with POTUS about the FBI director gig even though he was not eligible for the job, then becomes Special Counsel. Gee, wonder what they were talking about.
2. Mueller brings an all-DS team onboard so he can sit back and let them do what criminals do.
3. Let's Flynn plead guilty but does NOT allow final judgement in case.
4. The moment Barr steps onto the stage, Mueller wraps up his work.
5. Mueller Report is vague re: obstruction. Did he write those words or was it the work of his underlings?
6. Mueller closes up his office.
7. THEN, Flynn moves to remove his attorney from the case AND the 302's are released.
Flynn's guilty plea and deal made allowed him to work with Mueller and DOJ because Flynn is the man who "knows where the bodies are buried" – literally. Rremember Ezra Watnick-Cohen over at the DOJ? Odds are he will resurface soon.
Mueller was white/gray hat the whole time, as was RR. Flynn was dishing dirt, and his plea deal was never going to go through. It was just a ruse.
Prediction: The stage is almost set. Durham/Huber/Barr/Watnick-Cohen/Mueller/others are getting very close to the beginning of the end. Mueller will testify before Congress and at the very least give hints to wake up the normies. BOOM? The real BOOM will be dramatic, and the POTUS will find it "necessary" to address the nation and the real show begins.

To explain the FBI delay, Van Grack claimed the FD-302 report “inadvertently” had a header saying “DRAFT DOCUMENT/DELIBERATIVE MATERIAL”
What the special counsel appeared to be obfuscating was a process of deliberation within the investigative unit, headed by FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, surrounding the specific wording of the 302 report on the Flynn interview. Likely how best to word the FBI notes for maximum damage.
In late 2018 Prosecutor Brandon Van Grack was attempting to hide the length of the small group deliberations within the FBI.
In hindsight it seems he did not want the court to know Andrew McCabe was involved in shaping how the Flynn-302 was written.
However, we know there was a deliberative process in place, seemingly all about how to best position the narrative, because we can see the deliberations in text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok
It was a deliberative document from the outset. Thanks to the Strzok/Page text messages we know the 2018 cover letter from the Special Counsel is misleading. The Feb 15th, 2017, date was the day after McCabe approved it (three weeks after the FBI interview).
May 17th, 2017, Robert Mueller was assigned as special Counsel. Then, the FD-302 report was re-entered on May 31st, 2017, removing the header; paving the way for Mueller’s team to use the content therein.
