Alright Autists!
Everyone claim ten pages, lets do this in order so as not to be confusing.
There's about 450 pages, so we need 45 autists to read ten fucking pages. DO IT FOR GOD AND COUNTRY.
Please give detailed bullet points, but don't be too detailed.
Tell us an "Executive Summary" at the top of your analysis (do this when you're DONE writing all your bullet points)
Tell us any actors involved
For example:
Pages 10-20
Summary: These pages discuss Jack and Jill getting a pale of water, but Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill skipped town claiming total ignorance and innocence.
Key observations:
1. Jack was with Jill on Thursday
2. Jack was seen fighting with Jill
3. Jill seemed to hijack a car
4. Jack was found almost dead at the bottom of the hill
5. No signs of water in the pale
Key Actors:
Jack, Jill

"
Second, the report details efforts by Russian military officials associated with the GRU to hack into computers and steal documents and emails from individuals affiliated with the Democratic Party and the presidential campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton for the purpose of eventually publicizing those emails. Obtaining such unauthorized access into computers is a federal crime. Following a thorough investigation of these hacking operations, the Special Counsel brought charges in federal court against several Russian military officers for their respective roles in these illegal hacking activities. Those charges are still pending and the defendants remain at large."

This section was mostly uninteresting. Starting at 391 to 393 are citing previous court cases as examples to investigate or prosecute a sitting president. Most were references to cases involving Nixon.
On page 394 is the conclusion by the special counsel regarding obstruction. With the quote Barr gave in his original letter. I underlined the quote from the letter and underlined another part that seems to imply that the special counsel feels like they were not able to do a thorough investigation. I imagine this will be the spark that keeps the Russia collusion story going.
After this is just an Appendix.

Seem to be about Cohen mainly. Nothing too surprising. He was contact before the campaign even began. Just my quick eyeball over it earlier. It looks like he was set up as a bait for Trump, to entice the trump camping along with Ivanka as well.
That section, to me anyway given what we already know about Cohen, spells out pretty clearly that there was a force working in tandem with the Russians to attempt to lure Trump in to a trap.
Cohen, along with others were offered campaign services that would have trapped Trump in a legal dilemma. It appears that this was the clear goal between the people who contacted Cohen and others.
That's my take on it. The general feeling I get. Apologies I could not be more through.

>2. Russian intelligence

the absence of evidence or conflicts in the evidence about a particular fact or event. In other instances, when substantial, credible evidence enabled the Office to reach a conclusion with confidence, the report states that the investigation established that certain actions or events occurred. A statement that the investigation did not establish particular facts does not mean there was no evidence of those facts.
>We applied the term coordination in that sense when stating in the report that the investigation did not establish that the Trump Campaign coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
>Volume I describes the factual results of the Special Counsel's investigation of Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election and its interactions with the Trump Campaign.

241-250: WaPo article 12 Jan 2017 said Flynn talked to Kislyak (the Logan Act story). Trump asked Priebus about the story, Priebus asked Flynn about it, Flynn told McFarland to call WaPo and say he didn't talk about sanctions.
Senior DoJ officials were concerned Russian records of talking about sanctions could this be compromat, beyond the Logan Act issues.
While talking about Flynn, the report throws in that senior Administration officials didn't like Comey.
Back to Flynn, Eisenberg and McGahn discuss what laws Flynn could be nailed on.
Comey had dinner with POTUS alone and claimed to have said honest loyalty.
Eisenberg and McGahn told WH that Flynn was unlikely to be prosecuted. Flynn resigned as requested by Priebus. POTUS told Christie that since the Russia thing was Flynn talked to Russia and he fired Flynn the Russia thing would be over. Christie replied that it was far from over.

Not sure the best format to post summary. This is a copy & paste from MSword:
—————————————
Pages 141-150
This section mainly focuses on Putin & Russia’s desire to form relationships with the newly elected Trump and his team. “They appeared not to have pre-existing contacts and struggled to connect with senior officials around the president elect”. It also addresses Manafort’s meetings and plans with Russian officials.
• Manafort & Kalimnik talked about resolving disputes regarding Manafort’s previous work with Russia; specifically the Deripaska lawsuit & funds owed to Manafort for political consulting (before Trump’s election).
• After Manafort resigned from the Trump campaign, he still offered political advice. This was confirmed in e-mails, but the advice was pretty obvious, generic stuff that would be common knowledge to awake people (things like Hillary possibly blaming the Russians if she were to lose).
• Manafort met with Oganov (previously had worked at Russian embassy in US) in Madrid in 2017. He initially denied this meeting to Mueller’s office, but later confirmed it.
• Shortly after the meeting, Manafort contacted KT MacFarland (deputy national security advisor) saying that he had acquired important information regarding Cuba. There’s no evidence that anyone responded to Manafort’s offer.
• Manafort’s e-mails show he was trying to broker a Ukranian peace deal with Kalimnik. The did polls on Trump & US supporting the Autonomous Republic of Donbas. Manafort threw Trump’s name out there, but there’s no evidence of Trump’s knowledge or involvement.
• “The office has not uncovered evidence that Manafort brought the Ukraine peace plan to the Trump campaign or the Trump administration”.
• Hope Hicks got a phone call from someone claiming to be Putin on election night. She was unsure of who it was. She got an e-mail from “Putin” the following day. She & Kushner confirmed it was Putin. 5 days later Trump & Putin spoke on the phone.
• Petr Aven, A Russian national who heads Alfa-Bank, met with Putin & oligarchs to discuss protecting the bank from possible US sanctions after Trump’s election.
• George Nader (UAE employee) arranged a meeting between Dmetriev (head of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund) & Erik Prince (businessman with connections to Bannon, Trump Jr, & Roger Stone). Nader did not introduce Dmetriev to anyone in the Trump campaign prior to the election.
• The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has a lot of coinvestments with UAE & has ties to the Crown Prince Mohammed
• Putin said he didn’t know the people around Trump when he was elected.

Pages 11-20 summary/findings
Bold means important from my perspective
First part lays out the scope of the SC investigation
The investigation's scope was intentionally broad as to allow the FBI to investigate anything at all that arose from this investigation. They were trying so hard to find something
p.11-13 Parameters of the investigation
RR appointed Special Counsel, sets parameters of investigation
The appointment was worded as to allow information about the appointment to be released publicly
Page, Manafort, PapaD were the 3 originally investigated
Manafort under investigation for payments recieved from Ukrainian gov't and from a bank whose CEO was trying to work with the Trump admin.
PapaD under investigation for acting as an unregistered Israeli agent
Flynn later investigated for 4 unnamed topics
M. Cohen, R. Gates, R. Stone +2[redacted] names activities investigated, even though they weren't suspects
M. Cohen investigated for use of Essential Consultants LLC to recieve funds from Russian-backed entities
Sessions investigated for when he lied to US Senate
The FBI had been investigating Russian interference for 10 months prior to the appointment of the Special Counsel.
–So they had a mountain of information to start off with, broadening the investigation further
REFERENCES TO APPENDIX D CONCERNING TRANSFERS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Special Counsel team included 19 additional team members (attorneys)
–5 of those from private practices
–14 assigned from DOJ components
Those 19 attorneys had a team of DOJ lawyers and FBI personnel to find and screen info for them
–3 paralegals from DOJ Antitrust Division
–9 admins responsible for operational duties (like HR, facilities, budget, finance, etc)
All these people worked alongside about 40 FBI agents, intelligence analysts, forensic accountants, one paralegal, and staff
–To assist with investigation
FBI personnel always under FBI supervision, always complied with FBI standards, not SC standards
>2800 subpoenas issued under GJ in DC
<500 search and seizure warrants
>230 orders for communications records
<50 orders authorizing use of pen registers
13 requests to foreign govt's asking for legal assistance
~500 witnesses interviewed
–including <80 before GJ
FBI personnel added later to feed FBI info about SC findings for further investigation
Info constantly filtered to FBI for further investigation (counterintelligence matters)
Volume 1 is a summary. Lots of info that went to counterintelligence is NOT in this volume
p.14-20 IRA activities and the fake US accounts
IRA, LLC, along with Yevgeniy Viktorvich Prigozhin and companies he controlled (Concord), conducted partisan social media ops on US citizens in the effort to sow political discord
IRA began ops targeting US political/social issues as early as 2014
–Using fake US online personas (fake accounts and group pages pretending to be Americans)
–Some of these accounts became very popular and influenced large amounts of Americans
–Other Russian entities also did the same, but this was the main one
IRA travelled to US in 2014 to gather intelligence, info, and pics to use on these accounts
Fake accounts would post derogatory info on Presidential candidates (2016 election)
–in support of Trump, disparaging HRC
–IRA made expenditures
–purchased political ads for social media (fake accounts)
IRA employees posing as Americans tried to contact Trump Campaign people to coordinate political activities
–including staging of political rallies
–none of them reciprocated
By the end of the election, IRA had the ability to reach millions of Americans through social media
–FB + Insta = hundreds of thousands of followers
–470 accounts, 80k posts Jan 2015 - Aug 2017
–Reaching approx 126M people
–Twitter accounts with tens of thousands of followers
–Contacting approx 1.4M people
–Multiple US political figures retweeted IRA fake accounts
[REDACTIONS CONCERNING IRA STRUCTURE AND OPERATIONS]
'''IRA's US ops are part of a larger set of interlocking ops known as "Project Lakhta"
[REDACTIONS CONCERNING FUNDING AND OVERSIGHT OF CONCORD COMPANIES AND PRIGOZHIN]
Concord companies funded the IRA until at least Feb 2018
Prigozhin was sanctioned by US Treasury Dept. in Dec 2016
–Has ties to Putin
In May 2016, IRA fake accounts recruited Americans to hold signs (including one in front of the WH) that read "Happy 55th Birthday Dear Boss" for Prigozhin

Peter Smith puts Team Together in search of HC's emails
I just got a call and have to take off damnit, but I did get this much. Smith raised a lot of funds to put together a basically a geek team, but he also had these heavy hitters involved. Pic 1. Kellyanne Conway was part of this team also. One curious part of this was that Corsi showed up in the footnotes as also part of this team. Pic 2. This is all from pages 71-72.
While Smith claimed he was in contact with Russians claiming to have the emails, it doesnt appear that any of that actually panned out

Pg. 60. ←—- J. Assange related investigation - Wikileaks (mostly redacted)
Pg. 61. ←— Michael Cohen "recalls" and incident at the Trump Tower ( heavily redacted ) However; MC plead guilty in Nov. 18 of making false statements (Trump Tower incident - a false statement - idk)
Pg. 62. ←— Gates claiming he has information on Clinton emails etc. That the information being released with be very harmful to Clinton. Corsi gets involved at this point - and starts to expound (lie?) that he's involved in arranging communications between Wikileaks and the Trump Campaign. Nothing proves he (Corsi) actually has any involvement.
Pg. 63. ←— Malloch is stating he can get Corsi in touch with Assange. Corsi suggests to Malloch that "individuals" of the "orbit" such as Nigel Farage could also help make contact with Assange. Malloch eventually denied ever having communications with Assange.
Pg. 64. ←— Cont. from pg 63. Malloch does admit to having numerous facetime sessions with Corsi and Wikkileaks. (Redactions). It goes on to say - they have the John Podesta emails and they would be release before election day. Corsi states to Mollach that once the Podesta emails are released, we will be in the "drivers seat".

Oct. 3rd 2016 Wikileaks sends Don Jr. another DM - looking for some imput on Clinton using a drone to target Assange. Don Jr responds - stating he'd already done so, and asked whats with this release he keeps hearing about? Oct. 12 - Wikileaks DMs back - thanking Don Jr. and Sr. for talking about their publications and strongly suggest Trump mention this link in his tweet wlsearch.tk
Pg. 69. < —– The investigation could never tie the Trump Campaign to the recovery / release of the Clinton emails - even though they had interviewed many - none could corroborate the charges. Campaign adviser Michael Caputo learns thru a Florida based Russian Business partner that Henry Greenberg also know as Henry Oknyansky claims to have information about Hillary Clinton. Caputo notified Roger Stone and brokered communications between Oknyansky and Stone. Stone sets up an "in person" meeting in May 2016. Oknyansky is accompanied by a Ukrainian - Alexei Rasin. They offer to sell Stone derogatory information about Clinton, Rasin claims to have obtained the information while working for Clinton. Including financial statements demonstrating Clinton's involvement in money laundering. Stone refuses to pay - stating Trump would never pay for opposition research. Oknyansky continued to shop the Clinton information around to other interested parties. The investigation found that there was no evidence that Rasin ever worked for Clinton.

p. 161-167
Continues from 160 to summarize section 1512(c)(2) outlining obstruction of justice to defend the statutory application of obstruction-of-justice provisions to the conduct under investigation.
Specifically the section lists legal terminology, judicial decisions supporting a broad definition of section 1512(c)(2), legislative history, the ways in which the law was written, ending with the point that other obstruction statutes may apply to the conduct in this investigation, including witness tampering.
p. 168 names Constitutional defenses for applying obstruction statutes to Presidential conduct
p. 169-170 gets pulpy. They say that to terminate an FBI director & terminate investigations can constitute obstruction of justice, that executive powers are checked by Congress, & it would still be illegal for the President to obstruct or influence an investigation into his own conduct.

Alright, yeah, nothing of note in the questions. Just Mueller team desperate digging for juice.
Trump's responses are "I do not recall…" for what I can only assume would be perjury traps. Can't say, "No, I didn't", because they would more than likely imply perjury/lying.

Cohen's involvement with the attempted set up of meetings for Trump Tower, Moscow
Origins of PapaD joining Trump campaign
Summary:
Cohen attempts to set up meetings for Trump Tower with Russian officials via intermediaries during 2015 through to June 2016. No meetings actually occur.
Papadopoulos is told that Russia might have Clinton dirt soon after joining the Trump campaign. He suggests this to a representative of a foreign govt but does not share directly with the Trump campaign.
Key observations:
>Cohen is not good with details. He thought Klokov was an Olympian weightlifter and got an email address wrong. He also seemed to be depending on Sater to arrange meetings but he didn't seem to have the promised connections.
>Former aide to Russia's energy minister, Klokov, reaches out to Cohen via Klokov's wife's connection to Ivanka Trump
>Telephone record between Cohen and Poliakova forms part of a Grand Jury redaction. He requested assistance to move Trump Tower project forward.
>Sater emails Cohen to arrange visas for Cohen and Trump via Evgeney Dvoskin, an executive of a bank in Ukraine. This shows as a footnote with redaction for Grand Jury.
>Trump received a seperate invite to St Petersburg International Economic Forum from Sergei Prikhodko, Russian Deputy PM, which Trump declined via his PA.
>Robert Foresman unsolicited reaches out to the campaign via Graff (via Mark Burnett). States he has expertise in Russia and Ukraine and had set up private channel for Putin and George W Bush. Wanted a private meeting to discuss 'concrete things' that couldn't be done on email. No meeting was arranged.
>Soon after joining campaign PapaD was approached by Mifsud with info Russia had dirt on Clinton. PapaD did not tell the campaign this. Mifsud with 2 Russian Nationals then tried to arrange with PapaD a meeting between campaign and Russia. No meeting was arranged.
Page Summaries:
pg. 81 - Klokov attempted to arrange for Cohen to meet in Russia via phone calls and emails Nov 15, in order to then have the candidate meet with Putin. Cohen emphasised that any meetings be for the Trump Tower and not political. Cohen declined the offer due to already working with Sater who supposedley had his own connections to the Russian govt
pg. 82 - By Dec 15 Cohen decided to independently contact the Russian govt and attempted to send an email to Peskov but sent it to an incorrect email address. He then followed up with another to the correct email.
Cohen said he didn't recieve a response and stopped working on the project Jan 16. This was false and he continued to Jun 16 on the project.
pg. 83 - Peskov's PA Elena Poliakova contacted Cohen and they talked for 20 minutes about the project Jan 20 2016 [Grand Jury footnote 351]
pg. 84 - Sater followed this with an invite for Cohen to visit Moscow and later asked for passport images of Cohen and Trump's passports. Sater wrote in an email about speaking with Evgeny Dvoskin [Grand Jury footnote 359]
Cohen sent his and sent a request to Trump via Executive Assistant Rhona Graf.
pg. 85 Sater attempted to have Cohen and Trump attend the St Petersberg International Economic Forum held in June 16 - Trump declined as did Cohen who felt Russian officials were not involved with the invite
pg. 86 Investigation found there were 2 occasions there was a possibility of Trump going to Russia for the Trump Tower Project late 2015 and spring 2016. Both were declined.
pg. 87 88 Trump was invited by Deputy PM Prikhodko to the Forum - Graff prepared a letter to decline the offer
Rober Foresman (NY investment banker) then reached out to Graff on behalf of Anton Kobyakov (Russian presidential aide) to set up a meeting. This wasn't pursued.
pg. 89 PapaD joined Trump campaign in March 16 as foreign policy advisor
Mifsud told PapaD about dirt on Clinton in April 16 that Russia had obtained
May 6 16 PapaD 'suggested' to 'a representative of a foreign governement' [Downer not named] that Russia could assist with release of info on Clinton
PapaD shared this info with others outside of the campaign but not with the campaign.
pg. 90 PapaD had tried to join the campaign in summer 15 but they weren't looking for foreign advisors at that point so he joined Ben Carson's campaign until Feb 16
He then took a role in London at LCILP and contacted Trump campaign again. He was offered the role after the campaign decided they needed someone with his expertise.

Mueller report pages 271 - 280
This section largely deals with the events immediately prior and leading up to the termination of FBI director Comey by POTUS. It describes several meetings, with key players Boente, McGahn, Sessions, Rosenstein, Miller, & Comey.
Key Points:
1. At first, President expresses confidence in Comey, and asks him to publicly state that the Russian Election interference investigation is not investigating the President.
2. DOJ & FBI resist making that statement, and Comey refuses to comment on whether the President is being investigated in his May 3, 2017 testimony.
3. POTUS asks intelligence agencies to put out that the Russia Link is false and largely they reply they cannot publicly comment on an ongoing investigation.
4. POTUS tried to prevent Sessions' recusal, and urged him to unrecuse at various times. At one point he expresses anger in a meeting, blaming Sessions' for "leaving him on an island"
5. POTUS becomes angered that the misdirection that the reporting of Russia Election interference investigation (falsely) indicates POTUS is under investigation. He comments several times this is hurting his ability to conduct business with foreign leaders, especially Russia.
6. POTUS loses confidence in Comey after May 3, 2017 testimony, calls him a "showboater", "grandstander", begins discussing removing him with Miller & Kushner
7. Sessions & Rosenstein support Comey's firing. Rosenstein writes memo to this effect, but claims his reasons differ from POTUS. POTUS is adamant this memo contain some mention to the reference that POTUS is not being investigated.
8. POTUS uses Comey's termination letter to publicly announce that Comey personally stated that POTUS is not under investigation.
——–
Anon's take: lots of misdirection and 3D chess by all key players.

pages 300-310, DJT tries to shut down the SC while looking okay doing it
The word obstruction is oddly avoided here. What DJT did looks bad (messages sent outside official channels, asking Sessions to act after he had recused, which prevented action) but aside from bad optics, nothing to see.
Nexus question redaction because grand jury on pg 309. See Vol-II Sect II.G
POTUS looks rattled, as he gives instructions to McGahn to stop the SC via conflicts of interest Mueller/SC have. All pursuits seem to be about optics, making the general public see their president has having done nothing wrong.
McGahn quits, not wanting to be part of the way DJT handles these things.
DJT talks to friend / campaign mgr Lewandowski to tell Sessions to quit, except that message never gets there because Rick Dearborn was uncomfortable being the message-boy
Hope Hicks tries to get in the way of the NYT interview but DJT was having too much fun.
Priebus, McGahn barely manage to convince DJT not to fire Sessions, who would later "always carry" his resignation letter
evidence going into this are, 302's with Cory Lewandowski, McGahn, Pribus, Hope Hicks, Kelly, Rick Dearborn, and one from Hunt.
page 310 starts to talk about the meeting between Kushner, Manafort, DJT-jr, and "a Russian attorney" again, optics about how bad the emails look, and how to spin them when they leak.
I've got a longer review, posted to main-thread #7963, but … it's longer. Much longer.

pp 111-120 - Trump Tower meeting
Summary: Mostly information previously publicly revealed. Does outline the stark difference between how info was pitched by the Agalarov's/Rob Goldstone and the content of the meeting itself. Also presents how testimony from Cohen, Gates & NV conflicts with testimony from other participants. Fair amount of redactions related to Grand Jury proceedings.
Key Actors:
DJTJr. // Paul Manafort // Jared Kushner
Rick Gates // Michael Cohen
Aras Agalarov (AA) - Russian real-estate developer w/ gov't construction contracts
Emin Agalarov (EA) - Aras' son & Azerbaijani pop star
Rob Goldstone (RG) - Emin Agalarov's then publicist (interviewed by SC)
Natalia Veselnitskaya (NV) - Russian lawyer at TT meeting
Ike Kaveladze (IK) - Georgian-born US citizen who works for AA.
Rinat Akmetshin (RA) - Soviet-born US lobbyist on Magnitsky Act issues
Key observations:
a. Setting up the June 9 meeting
– DJT & AA have a prior relationship through 2013 Miss Universe pageant. RG facilitated ongoing contact between the 2 families over the years.
– On 6/3/16, RG sends DJTJr. an email stating that AA had a meeting with the Russian crown prosecutor who offered to provide some 'officials docs & info that would incriminate HRC and her dealings with Russia'.
– On 6/6-6/7 DJTJr. have multiple brief calls. Also on 6/6, AA asks IK to serve as translator for a meeting in NY with the Trump Org on the Magnitsky Act.
– 6/7 - RG emails DJTJr. to schedule meeting. DJTJr. discloses that he, Manafort & Kushner will be in attendance.
– Rick Gates claimed that the meeting was brought up with senior campaign staff and that he urged caution, but no other parties involved recall Gates' claim.
– Michael Cohen claimed that DJTJr. brought up the meeting with the subject being 'adverse info on HRC' while they were in the office with DJT, but no other parties involved recall Cohen's claim.
b. Events of 6/9/16
– NV calls RA, says she's in NY and asks him to lunch later that day with IK and another translator (IS).
– NV claims she produced a document alleging financial misconduct of Bill Browder & the Ziff brothers in Russia, both who've donated to the DNC, but there is a dispute between the participants about what was discussed in the lunch.
– All 4 lunch participants then went to TT for the meeting, joined by RG. Manafort, Kushner & DJTJr. were the other participants. The meeting lasted about 20 minutes.
– Participants agreed that NV brought up the Ziff Brothers claims & Magnitsky Act issues (corraborated by Manafort's phone notes). DJTJr. asked a follow-up about how this was tied to HRC. NV & RA brought up adoption issues. DJTJr. replied that they currently had no control over these situations.
– Kushner was agitated and had his office call him so he could have an excuse to leave early.
– NV's subsequent accounts of the meeting differ from all other participant accounts.
– DJTJr. subsequently stated that purpose of the meeting was to gauge whether RG's colleagues had any opposition research worth further discussing with counsel.
– After meeting, RG called DJTJr. to apologize. AA called IK for a report immediately after the meeting. IK disclosed to AA that the meeting had been about the Magnitsky Act and that it was a "waste of time".

>pp 111-120 - Trump Tower meeting
Editorial Comments:
– There is ZERO discussion as to how NV gets a visa to enter the US, even the Report references an article by Reuters "How did Russian lawyer Veselnitskaya Get into U.S. for Trump Tower Meeting?" (11/6/17).
– This section relies on a number of articles in the press which is concerning in and of itself.
– The key player in this section - Natalia Veselnitskaya (NV) - was never interviewed by the SC office. There is no explanation as to why.
– The redacted Grand Jury portions appear to all revolve around NV & Aras/Emin Agalarov.
– It would be fair to speculate that if this meeting was an effort to entrap the Trump Campaign in some fashion, these 3 individuals would be central to that effort.

251: Christie tells Trump he's friendly with Comey, Trumpie asks Christie to tell Comey he's liked and part of the team. Christie thinks request nonsensical, feels uncomfortable about it, doesn't want to put Comey in position of having recieved message.
Footnote: Christie also recalls Flynn called Kushner to complain about what Spicer said about him at press conference, Kushner promised Trump would tweet support for Flynn.
252: Trump meets with Comey alone to talk about Flynn, says Flynn a good guy, needed to be fired because lied to Pence, hopes Comey can let the issue go. Comey drafts memorandum, asks Sessions not to leave Comey alone with Trump again.
253: Media asks why Trump took two weeks to fire Flynn and whether Trump knew Flynn talked to Kislyak.
Trump asks McFarland to write that Trump never told Flynn to talk to Kislyak. McFarland says she doesn't feel comfortable writing that and asks Eisenberg. Eisenberg says it would be awkward and might make her ambassador post might look like a quid pro quo.
Trump asks Priebus to tell Flynn he likes him. Priebus thinks Trump doesn't want Flynn to say mean things.
Trump tweets witch hunt, asks McFarlane to tell Flynn to stay strong.
256: Analysis: obstructive act: asks Comey to let this go; nexus to proceeding: (n.b. WH council had advised earlier that prosecution was unlikely) redacted Grand Jury said Flynn broke law lying to FBI; intent: maybe Trump knew about Flynn talking to Kislyak. However, Mueller unable to prove Trump knew, or that Flynn had dirt on Trump, so forced to not charge.
260: Trump didn't want Sessions to recuse, Comey announced FBI investigation, Trump asked Comey and others to say Trump had nothing to do with Russia.

Trump asks McGahn to ask Sessions to not recuse.
Comey briefs Gang of 8, scheduled to testify before HPermSelComInt. Dana Boente, Acting AG for .ru investigation, authorizes Comey to confirm existence of investigation. Media claims FBI investigating Trump. White House Counsel Office considers whether Trump needs cause to fire Comey (not directed by Trump. WHCounO seems to be trying to harm Trump in any way possible).
Trump asks McGahn to ask Boente to get Comey or someone to correct media reports that Trump is under investigation. Boente tells McGahn Comey unsustainable for four years as FBI Dir, McGahn passes on the Trump.
President asks DNI Coats and CIA Dir Pompeo if they can say Trump has no links to .ru. Coats says ODNI has nothing to do with investigation.
Trump frustrated. Asks Comey to lift cloud, Comey says (contra testimony to Congress lol) that congressional leaders know Trump not under investigation. Trump says Comey should get that fact out. Comey says he should tell WHCounselO to ask DoJ leadership to clarify to media.

Evidence shows Trump concerned about investigation effect on Presidency (brilliant sherlock).
274: Comey testify to Congress 3 May 17, Trump tells advisors he wants Comey to say Trump not under investigation. Comey declines to describe scope or subjects of investigation (probably to give media latitude to make stuff up). Trump fires Comey.

George Papadopolous
Page 90 end of :
emails from Papadopoulis to Mifsud, Timofeev and Lewandowski about future meetings between Putin and Trump.6/19/2016- 7/27/2016
Lewandoski left the campaign 6/19/2016.
page 91
After Lew left the campaign, Papdopolous communicated with Clovis and Whalid, about a meeting with Mifsud and Timofeev.
Papadopolous met directly with Clovis and Phares at a TAG meeting. Clovis couldn't remember the meeting but a picture is provided, showing him sitting next to Papadopolous.
Papadopolous took notes and kept a journal of his meetings/encounters. His memory of emails, events and notes are all consistent.
On august 15 2016
Papadopolous and Clovis were encouraged to meet with persons from the office of Putin. Clovis declined to do so but encouraged Papadopolous and Whalid to do so. Meetings were not to be official meetings and no endorsement or acknowledgement were to be given by the campaign.
Papadopolous was dismissed from the campaign in Oct. 2016 after he gave an interview to Interfax, a Russian news agency. That interview created unwanted publicity.
"Dirt" on Hillary
Papadopolous admitted to telling a Greek foreign minister, about Russia obtaining Clinton emails. A foreign government, other than Greece, informed the FBI about Papadopolous knowing Russia had emails that could hurt Hillary Clinton. Such information made the FBI suspicious if Papadopolous had informed the Trump campaign of any of this.
Papadopolous and campaign workers could not recall any talk of Clinton emails.
Another contact the FBI wished to contact was Sergei Millian. He was out of the country and would not allow contact with him.
July 15 2016, Papdopolous had contact with Millian via Linkedin. This was right after the TAG meeting with Clovis and Timofeev. Millian told Papdoplous he had connections high up in Russia and suggested some meetings. Timofeev said no. Papdopolous met with him in New York, July 31st and August 1, 2016. He was asked was to go to 2 meetings in Russia which Papdopolous declined. Papad then contacted the Trump campaign to put Trump in touch with a Russian-American voters group, but he was told to hold off on that. This was July 31st 2016.

August 23, 2016, Millian sent a message to Papad , that he wanted to "share disruptive" technology that would help the Trump campaign against Hillary. Papad said he had no recollection of that.
Carter Page
Background on Carter Page:
He worked for the Trump Campaign from January 2016 to September 2016. He was announced as a foreign policy advisor in March 2016. Page had lived and worked in Russia for many years before he volunteered for the Trump Campaign.
Russian intell. officers had developed relations with Page before he joined the Trump campaign, but the investigation could not find that Page worked with the Russian Government to interfere with the election.
Page 96
This delves into Page's business setup and contacts in Russia and they have nothing to do with Trump or his family. This was in the years before joining the Trump Train. The intell. officers were trying to get information out of Page but Page seemed to have none. Page kept coming in contact with officials and giving them immaterial, non public, information that did them no good.
In Jan. 2016 when Page began with the Trump campaign on a volunteer, non-paid position, he began giving his thoughts and ideas for Russian-USA relations and how to improve them.
page 98
Page tried to promote a Trump-Putin meeting. Page and the Russian officials wanted a meeting to happen(this being in 2016) They thought it could help bring an end to the new cold war. Page was critical of sanctions against Russia.
In April of 2016, Page provided feedback on an outline for a speech for Trump to give. Clovis appreciated the work.
Page was invited by invitation in April 2016, to give a speech in July 2016, in Moscow, at a commencement ceremony at the New Economic School(NES). Obama had spoken there in 2009 . It draws high-profile speakers.
Page wanted to go and asked permission from the Campaign. While they were considering it, Page tried to get Trump to take his place and give a speech instead. Lewandoski told Page he could go on his own, not as a representative of the DJT campaign. Also that Trump would not be able to attend.
During Page's stint in Moscow, the Klimentov brothers contacted the Director of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, about Page and his connection with the Trump campaign. Dimetri K. told Maria he could answer any questions she might have about Page and that he would contact him for her.
When Page gave his first speech, he was critical of the United States policy towards Russia. The Russian Deputy Prime minister also spoke after Page, at the July 8th commencement. He thought perhaps he and Page could work together in the future. While Page was there in Russia, he met with old friends.

351-360: Cohen's lies
Cohen tells NYT rep Trump Tower Moscow was infeasible and ended in Jan 2016, Cohen says that was a talking point to dismiss Trump-Russia connection. Cohen says Trump knew it was false but Cohen thought it important to say Jan when talks continued until June because it would limit period in which Trump had relationship with Russia while candidate.
Cohen requested to talk to Congress about Russia, thought interest focused on Steele report Cohen met Russians in Prague. Cohen never went to Prague. Cohen met Trump to discuss request, Trump told Cohen to cooperate.
Cohen enters Joint Defense Agreement with Trump and others (dunno what that is).
Cohen lied to Congress about TT Moscow project.
Jan 2018 media reported Cohen paid Stormy. "This Office did not investigate Cohen's campaign-period payments to women". Cohen said Trump not knowledgable, NYT called Cohen Trump's "fixer", FBI raids Cohen, Trump calls raid disgrace.
Trump calls Cohen, says stay strong. Cohen recalled that [redacted for privacy] told him Trump loves him and also two more redacted for privacy. Cohen talks to Costello who has relationship with Giuliani.
Trump tweets that Cohen won't flip.
Costello tells Cohen Giuliani said Cohen is loved, source is email from Costello to Cohen, footnote saying that is partly redacted "harm to ongoing matter".
360: Trump tells reporter too early to consider pardons for Cohen, Manafort, they haven't been convicted.
July 2, Cohen signals willingness to cooperate with investigation. July 20, media reports existence of recording Cohen had of conversation with Trump about payment to other woman. July 27, media says Cohen willing to inform investigators about DTJr telling Trump about 9 Jun 2016 meeting to get dirt on Hillary.

Summary: Part of Written Questions given to Trump and His written answers regarding Trump Tower mtg and statements re: Clinton at campaign speeches.
Trump usually said that he could not recall, but was extremely open in giving his desk calendar for requested dates and suggested the use of TV media footage for discovery.
HE DID NOT RECALL being aware of communications with anyone he understood to be a Russian official.
His speeches were initially drafted by Campaign staff. (And these were presented already to the Special Counsel.) So He didn’t have any special plans or reasons to include something regarding Hillary in a speech.

Russian Hacking/ Russian Efforts to Use Social Media/ Wikileaks.
PART III
Trump Organization Moscow Project Questions
PART IV and V
Contacts with Russia Related Issues during the Campaign and then during the Transition.
The answers by Trump in this section are:
Beginning on PDF pages 427 restating questions by Part and then giving answers.
Starting with Part I
June 9, 2016 Meeting at Trump Tower (Pages 429-430)
Trump wrote he had no recollection of the June 2016 Trump Towers meeting or of learning about emails between DJT jr. and Emin Agalarov or Robert Goldstone. Also, Trump had no recollection of whether he was in Trump Towers on those days. His calendar showed he had meetings in NYC but he can’t recall where the mtgs took place. His answers also indicated that TV footage of him on these dates could shed light on these days.
He consistently confirmed mtgs on his calendar but honestly said he could not remember the specifics of the one that day because he was doing such much each day during that time period of over 2 years ago.
He explained there were times when his staff received communication and responded to some of the people in questions, but had no independent recollection. Even on the receipt of a painting and book given by Aras Agalarov.

Re-read page 256 since it gave “intent” by summarizer…. I wanted to find out what was actually said, instead of an intent given.
“Maybe” is a guess…. it is not factual that maybe Trump knew about Flynn talking to Kislyak!
Kislyak’s name is on page 255.
Much of what is given on here as fact in the report is hearsay.

PAGES 210 - 219
210-212: - Bullet-Pointed table of contents for Volume II
211: - 2 related redactions regarding President’s Conduct Towards Flynn & Manafort
213: - Opening statement of Volume II
Describes considerations about obstruction of justice:
“The Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) has issued an opinion finding that "the indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would impermissibly undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions" in violation of "the constitutional separation of powers."”
214: - Statements about why the DOJ went about investigating obstruction in a way that would not lead to charges. The concludes with the famous statement:
“while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”
215: - Begins “EXECUTIVE SUMMARY TO VOLUME II”
- REDACTION (Ongoing Matter) in context of discussion of Trump & Campaign “privately” seeking information from Wikileaks.
- Describes 1-1 meeting with Comey about Flynn, suggesting that Trump urged Comey to end the whole Russia thing, and let Flynn go.
- Describes McFarland letter:
Shortly after requesting Flynn's resignation and speaking privately to Corney, the President sought to have Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland draft an internal letter stating that the President had not directed Flynn to discuss sanctions with Kislyak. McFarland declined because she did not know whether that was true, and a White House Counsel's Office attorney thought that the request would look like a quid pro quo for an ambassadorship she had been offered.
216: - “The President reached out to the Director of National Intelligence and the leaders of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA) to ask them what they could do to publicly dispel the suggestion that the President had any connection to the Russian election-interference effort. The President also twice called Corney directly, notwithstanding guidance from McGahn to avoid direct contacts with the Department of Justice. Corney had previously assured the President that the FBI was not investigating him personally, and the President asked Corney to " lift the cloud " of the Russia investigation by saying that publicly. ”
- Description of POTUS firing Comey. Mentions Clinton investigation and a slew of other factors.
- “The appointment of a Special Counsel and efforts to remove him” section includes mention of the famous Trump quote telling advisors that it was "the end of his presidency".
- McGhan phone call at home. POTUS directs him to get Sessions to recuse and McGhan refuses.
217: - “Efforts to curtail the Special Counsel's investigation” includes Lewandowski (former campaign manager) one-on-one meeting, and Trump asking him to call the Special Council “very unfair”.
- Dearborn asked to do Lewandowski’s task:
Lewandowski did not want to deliver the President's message personally , so he asked senior White House official Rick Dearborn to deliver it to Sessions. Dearborn was uncomforta ble with the task and did not follow through.
- “Efforts to prevent public disclosure of evidence” mentions Trump Jr. press statement claiming POTUS directed removal of a line.
“Before the emails became public, the President edited a press statement for Trump Jr. by deleting a line that acknowledged that the meeting was with "an individual who [Trump Jr.] was told might have information helpful to the campaign" and instead said only that the meeting was about adoptions of Russian children.”
- “Further efforts to have the Attorney General take control of the investigation” discusses Trump conversations with Sessions where unrecusal is discussed. There’s an interesting comment about investigating Clinton:
In October 2017, the President met privately with Sessions in the Oval Office and asked him to "take [a] look" at investigating Clinton.”
- Describes Trump pressuring McGhan to deny reports he was directed to remove the Special Council. (Continued on p218)
218: - REDACTION (Ongoing Matter) around mention of Flynn & Manafort
- One section describes Trump & Flynn’s relationship after Flynn’s withdrawal from joint defense agreement, and agreement to cooperate with investigation. The entire presentation revolves around notions of loyalty, strength, and the opposite, “breaking” and “flipping”. The next section discusses Trump’s changing publicity about his relationship with Cohen, and the themes of flipping are carried on there.

p.101-102 Carter Page
[SOME GRAND JURY INFO REDACTED]
July 2016 - Page returns from Russia and goes to the RNC in Cleveland, OH. While there, he met Russian Ambassador (to the US) Sergey Kislyak, and afterwards emailed RNC officials with feedback, at some point noting concern about Kislyak's worry about HRC's world views.
–Page went back to Moscow and began advocating pro-Russia foreign policy
–Trump Campaign began strongly distancing itself from page at this point
–Soon after this, Page was removed from the Trump Campaign
After the election, Page sought a position in the Trump Administration with VERY inflated credentials.
–No response from Trump Administration.
Page (Dec 2016) went back to Moscow and met with at least one Russian gov't official.
p.103-110 Dimitri Simes and the Center for the National Interest (CNI)
Dimitri Simes was the CEO of CNI
–CNI is a Washington-based non-profit think tank(with a bi-monthly magazine, National Interest) with expertise w/ Russian govt that spawned from Nixon.
–Including connections to Russian govt
Trump Campaign members met several times with CNI
–Mostly through Simes
DJT delivered his first speech on foreign policy at at CNI hosted event.
–Then-Senator Sessions attended w/ Kislyak.
–This came up during Sessions' AG confirmation hearing.
–Jared Kushner also interacted with Simes about Russian issues during the campaign
–No evidence any messages sent/recieved during that time
Sessions was an advisory council member of CNI at the time (advisory about DJT)
3/14/16 - CNI board member Richard Pleper organized a luncheon for the CNI and it's honorary chariman, Henry Kissinger at the Time Warner Building in NY.
–To generate intereste in CNI and recruit new board members
Simes, Kushner attended the event.
–Kushner claims he attended the event to improve support from foreign policy professionals
Kushner and Simes spoke again (telephone) on 3/21/16
–3 days later, DJT publicly named his foreign policy team
On 3/31/16, Simes and Kushner met in person (1 on 1) and Simes tried to get Kushner to tell DJT to set up a meeting to develop a foreign policy approach.
Simes also contacted other members of Trump Campaign
–Including J.D. Gordon
–Simes was trying to get a memo to Sessions. The premise was [HRC bad]
–During these 2 contacts, a speech was planned for DJT to give on foreign policy
Kushner put Simes in contact with Stephen Miller in mid Apr 2016 to discuss the speech
–Miller, Sessions, and Sessions' chief of staff, Rick Dearborn to coordinate on speech
–Miller drafted the speech
Simes added points to it with help from CNI Exec Director Paul Saunders and board member Richard Burt.
–He and Miller edited the speech together, but a final draft could not be confirmed by all parties
National Interest served as the host for the information
–Kushner tried to move the event to the Mayflower Hotel
–The event was booked at Mayflower
Kislyak met with Sessions during the event
–Sessions nor CNI people remembered the meeting, but did not meet with DJT.
–Trump left immediately after the event (food-related excuse)

Today putting together a gift for a super liberal family member I noticed the last pages of the volume 2 in the report

Its entirely redacted.
I read back a few pages and it's the referrals made for crimes discovered while investigating.
There is a spot as its sorted alphabetically by last name that Clinton would into. And several more spots after the name Craig.
If this is D-5, the report completed way back in 2018 when Q tweeted it.
Also declass would bring down the house would mean if the declass tge report this information comes out
Is this d5?

Mueller Report 191 - 200
A lot of similarities between 191 - 200 and summary of 251 - 260.
191 - 200 covers False Statements and Obstruction of the Investigation. It outlines first, the legal definitions of False Statements, Perjury, Obstruction of Justice; and second, Application to Individuals.
The individuals are: i. George Papadopoulis, ii. [redacted for personal privacy + GJ], iii. Michael Flynn, iv. Michael Cohen, v. {redacted for Harm to Ongoing Matter, & vi. Jeff Sessions.
i. George Papadopoulis summary - On 1-27-2017 Papa D agreed to be interviewed by FBI re: potential Russian gov interference in 2016 election. Mueller says papa D lied about the timing, extent, and nature of communications with Joseph Mifsud, Olga Polonskaya, and Ivan Timofeev. Papa D acknowledged he met with Mifsud who said he had "1000's of emails" of dirt on Hildawg. He said multiple times the communications happened before he joined the DJT campaign and it was a "strange coincidence" that he was told of the dirt before he started working for the campaign. Mueller says Papa D met Mifsud for the first time March 14, 2016 after he learned he would be campaign foreign policy advisor, and told Papa D about the "dirt" on Hildawg in late April 2016 after Papa D was on the campaign. Mueller states Papa D also lied to minimize the extent of his conversations with Mifsud, calling Mifsud "a nothing" and "just a guy talking up connections or something" and that he thought Mifsud "was BS'ing". Mueller claims Papa D really understood Mifsud to have high-level Russian gov. official contacts and that Mifsud spoke with those officials before telling him about Hildawg "dirt". Mueller also says Papa D misled invetigators about Mifsud introducing him to Ivan Timofeev, a Russian national who Papa D understood to be connected with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, even though he was asked if he met with Russian nationals or anyone with a Russian accent during the campaign. Also falsely claimed that he met Polonskaya before the campaign, and that he never had any kind of relationship with her. Mueller says he het her after joining the campaign and though she could set him up with foriegn affairs contacts in Russian gov.
Also sounds like Mifsud and Polonskaya had an intimate relationship and Mifsud drafted or edited some of her emails to Papa D.
Papa D's omitted statements caused the FBI to mishandle an interview with Mifsud at a Washington D.C hotel in February 10, 2017.
iii. Michael Flynn - Lied about conversations with Kislyak. Asked him to refrain from escalating fighting against sanctions on Russia, which Kislyak said he would refrain. Flynn told K.T. McFarland about it. Nothing new in here anons don't know.
iv. Michael Cohen - Lied about Trump Tower Moscow timeframe. Said project ended January 2016 but ended June 2016. Said no plans to travel with DJT to Russia but Mueller says he tried to arrange travel with DJT to Russia. Said he had no contacts with Russian officials about Trump Tower Moscow and then later said he had exchange with Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
vi. Jeff Sessions - Mueller says while Sessions said he didn't talk to Kislyak or any Russians he actually did, but much ado about nothing and Sessions didn't actually lie as defined by the law, due to the way the questions were presented to Sessions.

The writer of the report
Mueller ?
Weissman?
characterize Potus DJT as disavowing business deals with Russian, when Cohen was said to have been working on a deal for Trump
However, there was never any deal.
So Writer of the report insinuates Potus DJT was lying[?] when he repeatedly denied business relations with Russia
In fact, The numerous disavowals would be what one would expect of a person falsely accused.
POTUS DJT was correct is stating to Cohen that there was no reason to mention the potential deal, because it was never fulfilled, completely or closed.
Since the Report writer was trying to set-up POTUS they make it a point of note that Cohen was questioned by POTUS as to why Cohen would / should mention an alleged deal that never came to fruition.

Using sophistry to try to "win" :
The report Mis-represents the contention of POTUS DJT associates that POTUS had no business with Russia as "party line"
That's a mischaracterization and counts as a way to appear to "defeat" one's enemy without actually doing it
The report author catalogs the times those associated with POTUS DJT pulled back from association with Russians once the allegations became known.
^^^^
This would be normal for someone who was afraid of the motives of the SC; as it has been shown POTUS DJT was; He did not minimize the power of the SC;
Someone who knows they are innocent yet knows the FBI is out to get them [cf case of Aaron Swartz] would show prudence in staying as far away as possible from any perception of "collusion with Russia" once the accusation was known
Proves nothing.
Where did the Mueller investigation crew get the idea that it was Russia behind the emails leaks!
From an announcement by the federal [small "F"] the day after the emails were received by Wikileaks!

Here the report author cites Pence denying that the Trump campaign was involved in releasing emails damaging to HR Clinton's campaign
Think:
Why would any information related to HR Clinton be damaging, if she was on the "up and up"
J. Assange hinted at this in his answers to Hannity of Fox News in one of his interviews.
So the Trump-haters framed the question.
That is very powerful and a Propaganda technique.
Whoever defines the playing field has the advantage.
Think: The Trump opposition defined the "playing field" as "Who stole [hacked] H.R. Clinton's emails?"
There are more relevant questions:
Were her emails in fact private property?
Aren't charities tranparent?
Aren't the activities of the Secretary of State part of th public record?
Why were these emails damaging specifically to H.R. Clinton, rather than say: Heads of State she was still in contact with, etc,or others?
Why does she care?
Of what did they consist?
What did they show?
Despite the denials of Hope Hicks as to the contacts between the "entourage" of the Trump campaign and Russia, the writer of the report believes the "Russian government" on the matter, yet does not give a citation for where the SC got that information.
The SC report cites "the press" in reporting that "U.S. Intelligence Agencies" concluded that Russia interfered with the election in order to
boost" Trump's chances, YET no citation is given for either what Press reports or What U.S. inteligence agencies .
Another question is beggin to be answered:
Why would the SC take the word of a Press report?
[P.s. same B.S. done on 9/11. Only lists of passengers came from press, nothing official, no official airline or government lists]
This despite the President - elect's denial.
Considering the insistnce of the denials, shouldn't they have dug a little farther, to find out who really was promoting the idea, i.e. names.
Also, facts, details?
What was the basis of their source's claims?
Why did they take the Russian government [alleged] as their source?

Mueller Report
pp.251-260
TLDR; This section describes the time during which General Flynn came under fire from Congress and the press and was subsequently dismissed by POTUS, Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation and wheels were set in motion for the appointment of the Special Counsel. It does NOT include that appointment. Various media reports were considered valid testimony. Inasmuch as many media reports of the day were unreliably sourced and highly speculative, this does not seem reasonable.
On the question as to whether POTUS committed obstruction of justice in re: Flynn, Mueller (et al) concluded that his actions likely satisfied 3 of the 4 required elements, but not the fourth, “intent”.
If intent is lacking, then the crime of obstruction of justice did not happen, no matter how the actual events played out. The determination regarding the other three elements is based on how others might have subjectively understood his words and on the contemporaneous actions of James Comey, who was later shown to have lied and deliberately leaked confidential information to the media (which is its own crime). That, to me, raises doubts as to his motives for those contemporaneous records and conversations and thus whether he understood POTUS words as they were stated or twisted their plain meaning to suit his own agenda which was, from the beginning, in opposition to the Presidency of Donald J. Trump. If Mueller can speculate as to POTUS intent, I can just as reasonably speculate about the motives of James Comey.
Although the term “collusion” is mentioned several times, it is worth reminding readers that “collusion” is nothing more than a synonym for “cooperation” and is not a crime.

More citations from biased sources.
And informants from Russia who give vague claims without naming specific individuals.
The SC Report writer uses newspaper articles for evidence; doesn't do their own research.
Much like the the rest of the "sheeples" who just take the news sources "word" for it, listen to the news and believe it, without checking.
This has been going on for 50 years and has polluted the Justice system.
There are other important examples of this.
Many judges take the view that the "status quo" belief system derived from the newspapers, is reliable, and don't bother to get the supporting data.
In this case we have a "Merry-go-Round" since Comey leaked through a friend to the New York Times, which triggered the article in the Times which was used by the FBI to receive the warrant, for extreme surveillance over the subjects of their interest.

The writer of the Mueller report [on alleged Russian collusion] uses PODESTA as a source.
POTUS again denies involvement but Obama Hussain plunges ahead and puts sanctions against Russia for the alleged favortism to DJ Trump POTUS-elect.
Before Inauguration on the 20th of Jan. 2017, in early January POTUS had a meeting to be briefed on the situation.
The report does not name who it was who briefed the President-elect.
Somehow after the briefing whoever it was [?] felt confident to release a definitive statement regarding the reality of their accusations.
THINK:
What information did they have to brief him with?
Nothing. It was fabricated.
Therefore, what do you think was the purpose of the "briefing"?
The writer says the President -elect will meet for a "briefing on Russian interference"?
Wouldn't it be improper to name it that, at that point in time?
wouldn't it have been, at that time, and even now, proper to call it "alleged Russian interference"
Otherwise, aren't the "Special council" and his office impugning both President-elect Trump and the State of Russian, before a case has been made?
The second half of the page is another set of bogus and/or weak citations which don't support their [attempted] case.

af554d No.6258312
>>6225229
pg. 235
Again, the writer of the report makes claims about an "assessment" which is opaque, not actual data.
The citation goes to the "Office of the Director of National Intelligence"
Who is that?
The report was in early Jan. while Hussain / Obama was still in charge; no detail on the report which was called:
"Russian Campaign to influence U.S. election 2016"
(I told the report was created by an agency of which Brennan was in charge)
Buzzfeed published unverified accusations, which did not even rise to the level of crime [cf. Starr's investigation of Clinton's cock]
POTUS again vehemently denied.
Why is this even in the ^^^^ report.
Some are saying since Mueller knew he never could indict POTUS he did this to gather evidence for Impeachment.
Impeachment does not require proof of crime. Just votes.
But thats a dud too, since Senate is too Republican and allied with POTUS to reach the numbers required for removal from office.
So, even if you had 'Impeachment" it would lead to another nothing-burger.
More hot air that shouldn't have been included in the report:
Trump felt the accusations regarding Russia would ruin his Presidency.
Well, why not? Why is that of note? Is that a crime? Is it something that made his accusers feel good, that they had succeeded in perhaps ruining his Presidency.

Beginning of a section on Flynn
They are saying Flynn lied to incoming Admin officials, but does not name who it is he lied to.
The lie is supposedly like this:"
Hussain/ Obama put sanctions on Russia because of Russia's alleged intrusion into the 2016 election with the intent to "bolster" Trump at the expense of HRC.
[Now we know why everybody is loathe to admit there was no Russian meddling of any consequence [13 hackers / trolls], Really?]
[ Since the Russians were made to suffer over this and it was a made-up, fabrication, it could cause an "international incident"?
So the claim about the lie is this:
Flynn didn't remember or didn't admit to talking to the Russian Ambassador. Suppsedly about the sanctions which were applied by Obama / Hussain for the reason that the Russians allegedly interfered in collusion with DJ Trump against HRC.
What was the Trump opposition, the Obama Administration, afraid that Flynn was saying to the Ambassador?
And why would Flynn be motivated to hide it?
If it is even so.
The report says they were investigating Flynn for "other matters" to start, but don't elaborate.
Supposedly this gave them the right to trick him into an interview?
[Apparently McCabe had a reason to attempt to hurt Flynn; since Flynn had whistle-blown on McCabe?]
Writers of the report claim Flynn told "similar lies" to the FBI as to others in the [Obama?] Administration?.
We are not told what those lies are.
How did the SC know that Flynn lied?
Had they Flynn under surveillance and so possessed transcripts of his phone conversations?
What's the 'big deal' if Flynn talked to a Russian Ambassador?
And if Office of SC had the transcripts [?] they should be able to say what was wrong with the conversation, not merely that it simply occurred. Also they would know if what transpired was harmful to U.S. interests. As it is, it seems the phone calls were used for innuendo only, Otherwise, the story would have fuller details.
P.S. none of this story makes sense.
The writer of the report now drifts over to James Comey and how POTUS asked him for loyalty at a private dinner.
The day after POTUS asked Comey for loyalty [according to Comey?], Potus had another private conversation wherein Comey alleges that POTUS asked him to "let Flynn go."
However, at this time, Flynn had not been charged with anything.
The writer seems to be attempting to connect things:
1. Flynn talking to a Russian ambassador over the phone
2. Flynn being interviewed by the FBI [entrapped]
3. Flynn being fired.
4. Potus having dinner with Comey, and asking for loyalty
5. Allegedly asking to "let Flynn go" when Flynn had not been charged for anything by that time [Charges came Dec. '17]
None of these things are necessarily connected.
Seems like the writers of the Mueller report experience conformation bias, or pretend to?. Because they allegedly believe in "Trump colluded with Russia" anything that happens will seem to fit into that pattern, even though there is no real evidence.
Writers of the report themselves knew there was no evidence so the function of the stringing together of the "confirmation bias" narrative/ story is to gaslight the public, not to make a real case?

amendment"
this is not true. I made a mistake
"Writers of the report claim Flynn told "similar lies" to the FBI as to others in the [Obama?] Administration?."
The lie the Mueller report claims made by Flynn was that he didn't remember speaking about the sanctions? the cause for the sanctions against Russia by Obama / Hussain to the Russian Ambassador to the U.S.A..
Flynn is said to have told people in Trump's circle that he did not speak on that subject with the Ambassador, when he actually did; And those people repeated it to others, so the report claims; but does not give names nor to where it was repeated and to what significance to anything it would have..
The exact substance of the lie will have to wait for further documents that we are told will be forthcoming for the exact nature of it, to be exposed.
So far, there's no indication or evidence that the lie had any importance other that a method to charge Flynn with a crime.

Here's my summary of pages 171 -180
Mueller report summary for pgs 171 to 180Petr Aven unsuccessfully tries to set up a back channel through Richard Burt to Trump's Transition team. Burt finds the request highly unusual yet proceeds to ask fellow CNI member/president Dimitri Simes to set up a meeting w/ Kushner. Simes smartly declines due to ongoing Russia/Trump issues.
An email from 12/22/16 Burt recounted said conversation for Aven, (sidenote email contains no names) Burt notes his willingness to discuss the subject of "Project A" again after the New Year, he also references a "very influencial party" & a "trusted 3rd party".
During questioning Burt admitted Project A was the backchannel issue, that the "very influencial party" was Simes & that the "trusted 3rd party" was a total fabrication.
Burt also notes that the Trump Team was NOT interested in creating a back channel only Simes was & he was creating an illusion of willingness by mentioning the aforementioned "trusted 3rd party".
Aven responded the same day signaling his understanding.
Aven claims this response indicated he didn't want outreach yo continue.
Burt speaks to Aven later on & further explains the hard pass on creating channels as current climate made it impossible, (Redacted portion is likely an offer to revisit the subject at a later date), Burt claims not to recall discussing Aven's request w/ Simes, nor anyone else, again.
1st Q 2017 Aven, Russian Officials & Putin meet. Aven reports his unsuccessful attempts to build relations w/ Trumps admin.
Putin asks Aven about his efforts to create a channel again at the next several Quarterly meetings.
Aven informs Putin about being questioned by FBI re: his backchannel attempts, Putin appeared not to care.
December of 2016 After being fired from Trump team Carter Page continues efforts to persue business opportunity in Moscow, Russia.
(Large paragraph redacted for Grand Jury)
Konstantin Kilimnik, a Manafort associate, claims Page insinuated an ongoing connection/authorization to speak on behalf of Trump on many issues including Ukraine in a 12/8/16 email to Manafort.
12/9/16 Page dines w/ NES employees Shlomo Weber & Andrej Krickovic. Dvorkovich makes a short appearance at Webers behest, while there he asks Page about starting a dialogue between Russia & the U.S. he also asks Page to set up a connection to Trumps transition team.
(Another Large portion redacted for Grand Jury)
Dvorkovich separately discussed forming an academic relationship
(Large portion redacted for Grand Jury)
Michael Flynn acting upon his authority as incoming National Security Advisor for President-elect Donald Trumps transition team became the primary conduit to mediate what are tense global issues re: Isreali settlements and impending sanctions on Russia. During which time many on the transition team spoke with other Nations leaders re: Israel.
Michael Flynn's Russian contact was Russian Ambassador Kislyak, whom Jarrod Kushner felt had no power in Russian gov.
12/29/16 the outgoing Obama admin publicly announces sanctions against Russia causing a flurry of communications between Trump's transition team senior officials.
Kislyak tried to initiate contact with Flynn for 2 days starting 12/28/16
Mcfarland recounts speaking with a few key transition team members re: Russian sanctions impact on relations with U.S. & Russia & that Flynn has a scheduled call with Kislyak. Flynn is hoping to de-escalate this situation with this call. Mcfarland updates Trump & team on current situation w/ Russia.
12/30/16 Russia responds to Sanctions publicly.
Mcfarland transmits info to transition team re: Flynn's call w/ Kislyak, except for the sanctions talks as Flynn does not want it to seem like he's getting in Obama's way.
12/31/16 Mcfarland speaks w/ Flynn about meeting w/ Trump & the call, he assures her Russia will not escalate the situation & indicated the desire to better relations with the U.S. as Kislyak stated in his call this day.
Flynn recalls speaking to Mcfarland but not other team members regarding the sanctions.
The end summary of this section ultimately finds while there were contacts made there was no collusion with Russia & transition team.

Summary brought from afar by "Hops"
COVERS VERY BOTTOM OF PAGE 120 THROUGH TO PAGE 129
SUMMARY: ==This section mainly focuses on Paul Manafort’s indictment and subsequent conviction related to eight felony accounts covering a 12-year period prior to and including his brief time spent on the Trump campaign, none of which had anything to do with collusion.== Although the Special Counsel’s office attempted to flip Manafort, he remained steadfast and plead guilty to these charges. During press conferences and interviews, both Trump and Giuliani affirmed Trump’s disgust for how Manafort was being treated by the Special Counsel’s office and their use of “flipping” to get defendants to lie. Both were regularly asked to comment on the possibility of a pardon for Manafort and others, but no clear statement was made other than to say that it had been discussed with attorneys and the possible “political fallout” examined if such should occur. General Michael Flynn’s resignation was also discussed briefly as well as his need to cease all communication with Trump based on his own legal counsel. Michael Cohen’s plea deal was briefly discussed as well as his decision to “flip” in order to obtain a better plea deal to eight offenses, which included one for campaign-finance violations. Richard Gates’ indictment was discussed as well as Jerome Corsi’s indictment, but with no final outcomes outlined.
Paragraph begins on bottom of page 120 to 121.
J. President’s Conduct Towards Flynn, Manafort, HOM
1. Conduct Directed at Michael Flynn
Trump asked Flynn to resign on 2/13/17. In public, Trump praised Flynn’s character. Trump asked his advisors to tell Flynn that he “cared about him” and to “stay strong.”
On 11/17, Flynn began cooperating with Trump’s Office and on 11/22/17, he withdrew from a joint defense agreement with Trump. Flynn’s legal counsel communicated with counsel for both Trump and the WH, stating that Flynn had to cease “confidential communications” with Trump. Trump’s counsel left a voicemail for Flynn’s counsel stating that if Flynn had made a deal with an agency within government, they needed to know. On 11/23/17, Flynn’s counsel returned a call to Trump’s counsel acknowledging their voicemail and reaffirmed that information could no longer be shared with Trump. Trump’s counsel disagreed and interpreted this as Flynn’s hostility towards POTUS. Flynn’s counsel saw this as an attempt to make Flynn reconsider this decision.
Pages 122- 124.
2. Conduct Directed at Paul Manafort
Paul Manafort and Richard Gates (deputy campaign manager) were indicted by a D.C. grand jury on 10/27/17, on multiple felony accounts. On 2/22/18, they were indicted with additional accounts by an Eastern District of Virginia grand jury. The charges against Manafort covered the period from 2005 to 2018.
In 1/18, Manafort assured Gates that they would be taken care of, suggesting that they would be given special protections under Trump’s direction based on Manafort’s communication with Trump’s counsel. Manafort discouraged Gates from pleading. Manafort denied any reference to a “pardon” [presumably by Trump] when asked by Gates.
Trump did not believe Manafort knew what he was doing on the Trump campaign and that he did not like Manafort. Trump asked his aides whether Manafort may have information harmful to him and wondered if Manafort was cooperating the Special Counsel’s investigation.
Publicly, Trump criticized the prosecution and suggested Manafort was being treated unfairly. On 6/15/18, Trump stated to the press that he felt bad about Manafort’s situation, specifically that the grand jury reached back 12 years into Manafort’s activities, and restated his desire to see fair treatment of Manafort. Later that day, Manafort’s bail was revoked and he was further charged with tampering with a witness while out on bail. Trump tweeted a reply reminding that Manafort had worked on other campaigns, that he didn’t know “Manafort was head of the mob”, and he was unfairly treated. Trump also questioned lack of oversight with Comey, “Crooked” Hilary and others.
Rudy Giuliani is Trump’s personal lawyer. When interviewed just after Manafort’s bail, he suggested that it is within the scope of Trump’s powers to pardon Manafort, should he wish to, but that he could not while the Special Counsel’s investigation was ongoing. He commented on this topic across different interviews with essentially the same message, that a pardon is Trump’s prerogative, should he decide, but that it is neither a given nor is it off the table, especially when it was suggested that his or Trump’s comments influence defendants’ cooperation in the investigation.

On 7/31/18, Manafort’s criminal trial began (ED of VA), with heavy media coverage. Trump complained in a tweet the next day that AG Sessions needed to stop the “rigged witch hunt,” that Mueller was conflicted and that “17 Angry Democrats” were doing “his dirty work.” Another tweet reminded that Manafort was only briefly involved in the Trump campaign and that he should have been made aware that Manafort was under investigation at the time he joined. Trump reiterated that current charges had nothing to do with collusion and questioned why Manafort was serving solitary confinement without conviction. The press queried Sarah Sanders about Trump’s tweets and she reaffirmed Trump’s complaint about Manafort’s unfair treatment.
Page 126
On 8/17/18, while Manafort’s jury deliberations continued, Trump was questioned by reporters about the trial. Trump responded again with it being a “rigged witch hunt” and refuse to discuss whether he would grant Manafort a pardon. Trump reaffirmed his position that the Manafort trial was a “sad situation”, and “sad” for the country. He described Manafort as a “very good person” to which Manafort’s attorney later expressed appreciation for Trump’s support.
On 8/21/18, Manafort was found guilty on 8 felony accounts. On this date, Michael Cohen also plead guilty to 8 offenses, including campaign-finance violation, which he claimed occurred with Trump’s knowledge. When speaking with reporters, Trump continued to reaffirm Manafort’s good character and his unfair treatment. He followed up the same sentiment in a tweet and contrasted Manafort with Cohen, further affirming Manafort’s character and refusal to lie to get a “deal.”
Pages 126-128
Trump was interviewed by Fox news on 8/22/18, and alluded to Cohen having “flipped” in order to get a better deal (judgment) and contrasted him with Manafort. Trump refused to discuss the possibility of a pardon for Manafort, but reaffirmed his respect for him. Giuliani continued to affirm Trump’s disgust for Manafort’s treatment and that he and Trump had considered the “political fallout” that could occur if a pardon to Manafort was granted. In another interview, Giuliani indicated that Trump had consulted with lawyers about the possibility of pardoning Manafort and other aides.
On 9/28/18, Manafort plead guilty to charges in DC, and signed a plea deal requiring him to “cooperate with investigators.” Apparently, Giuliani said publicly that Manafort remained in a “joint defense agreement” with Trump while having plead guilty and cooperating with the investigation. He also said Manafort’s attorney also remained in contact with Trump’s lawyers on topics discussed and information provided to the Special Counsel’s office. On 11/26/18, a public court filing by the Special Counsel’s Office revealed that Manafort had lied about multiple subjects and had breached his plea deal. Giuliani stated Trump had been very upset over Manafort’s treatment, calling it “un-American” and “horrible.” On 11/28/19, Trump described Manafort as “brave” for not having “flipped.” He railed against the use of “flipping,” or lying, by prosecutors to get defendants to say what prosecutors want. Trump referenced Manafort, (Jerome) Corsi and an unnamed (HOM) as three who did not flip and he called them “brave.”

Reading this post I have realized 2 things…
1: Anons are 9001% better and more efficient at organizing and dissecting very large legal documents then most all legal representatives today.
2. Almost all of this information in the Muller report is widely known and publicly available so is this all just a huge misdirection? Look at this hand! (Flailing wildly I might add) And ignore this hand?

Analysis
in analyzing POTUS toward Flynn, Manafort [HmOngMtt], the following is relevant to the elemants of obstruction //emphasis by Anon
a. Ob.Act POTUS actions toward witnessses would qualify if they had the natural tendancy to prevent witnessing, delying, or preventing
WRT Flynn, POTUS sent publc & private messages of encouragement, to stay strong, POTUS still cares, before Flynn began cooperating w/.gov; Flynn's attorney pulled him from a joint def.agreemt (still potentially cooperating w/.gov), POTUS' attorneys said that "still remains" but eventually said Flynn not sharing under joint def.agreemt looked hostile toward POTUS. But because of client/lawyer privilege we can't tell if POTUS was trying to flip Flynn or even knew the specific messages given.
WRT Manafort, evidence that POTUS actions had potential to influence whether to cooperate w/.gov; repeated msgs suggesting a pardon, also repeating POTUS didn't want Manafort to "flip". At the 6/15/2018 court day about revoking bail, POTUS said he felt "a lot of it is unfair" but when asked about a pardon said "I do want to see people treated fairly" "That's what it's all about." Manafort didn't cooperate then eventually pled guilty pursuant to an agreement but was found to have violated it by lying to investigators.
POTUS talking during the trial had potential to influence the jury if jurors had read the news articles even though they'd been instructed not to.
Harm to ongoing matter, whole paragraph
b: Nexus to official proceeding: actions towards Flynn, Manafort, [HOM], appear connected to official proceedings for each individual.
c: intent: wrt to Flynn, inconclusive. Because of privilege issues, what the lawyers said in either direction is unclear.
POTUS sent many public messages of support, indicating encouragement Manafort not cooperate w/.gov even though he told aides POTUS didn't like Manafort. Asked about a pardon, POTUS responded with words of great respect for what M. has done, gone through. Maybe POTUS meant not so much to influence the jury, but public opinion. Or maybe he was holding out an offer of pardon.
HOM, whole big paragraph. Next comes Cohen, which "spans the full period of our investigation"
OVERVIEW
M. Cohen pursued the Trump Tower Moscow project on behalf of the Trump organization, briefed DJT numerous times, tried to schedule DJT on a trip to Moscow, and eventually lied to congress about the timeline of these discussions to minimize the appearence of dealings with Russia.
Evidence
Cohen talked to: POTUS' counsel (lawyers), Felix Sater, Dmitry Peskov (.RU deputy chief-of-staff), Elena Poliakova (Peskov's assistant), and discussed on numerous occassions with DJT-Jr, Ivanka. Also later a NYT reporter and of course DJT, about the TrTwr.RU project, a "potentially $1Bn deal"
FBI searched Cohen's home, office in 4/18, POTUS said C wouldn't flip, sent msgs privately to C of support. Cohen spoke with POTUS counsel, believed he'd be pardoned but in 7/18 he began cooperating w/.gov, & POTUS publically criticized him, suggested C's family members had committed crimes.
Summer '16 candidate DJT publically said he had nothing to do with the Moscow deal then asked Cohen privately about its status, which C found "interesting"
At some point in the Summer C said the .RU development .co had no land thus no project which DJT called "too bad" and never asked again.
2: Cohen adhere's to "party line": see Vol-II-Sect-II.A when questions, re possible .RU support for DJT-as-POTUS arose DJT denied having any connections to .RU, which Cohen took as the "party line"
Cohen did not tell POTUS-elect explicitly this line was untrue because he thought DJT already knew it was; Cohen thiought it important to limit the appearence of association with .RU to before DJT had become the party's presumptive nominee (952, a 302 from 9/12/18)
This section has many more details about the timing of calls, recollections of M.Cohen, but these seems to be the important parts.
302's from 9/12/18, one in 8/7/18, (915)letter of intent from DJT, Andrey Rozov of Trump Acq, and an email 12/19/15, Sater->Cohen
More 302's from 11/20/18, 9/12/18, and a mention of C's congressional testimony

3. Trump Campaign Reacts to Allegations That Russia was Seeking to Aid Candidate Trump
• On 7/26/16, Trump denied any association with Russia following the Wikileaks release of hacked DNC emails, as well as any investment in Russia.
• On 7/27/16, Trump further denied involvement with Russia or the hacked emails, stating that Russia’s association with the case was unproven. He stated friendly relations with Russia would be preferable and he would recognize Crimea as Russian territory and possibly lift sanctions.
• Trump denied involvement with Russia at present and stated all past involvements with regard to hosting a pageant there and exploring possible building projects, non of which came to pass.
• After a press conference where Trump denied any dealings with Russia, Michael Cohen accused him of lying and Trump pointed out that the Trump Tower project that had been proposed was never a ‘deal’ and Cohen suggested that Trump’s advisors fostered a narrative of there being no business dealings with Russia.
(Page 232)
• The Trump campaign directly avoided any possible interaction with Russian contacts, including a campaign advisor’s invitation to a Russian Ambassador and a forced resignation on 8/19/16, of Manafort due to his Russian business dealings and to a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine. Additionally, when Carter Page’s Russian connections were made public in 9/16, he was also terminated.
• On 10/7/16, Wikileaks released a batch of Podesta emails, stolen by a Russian Intelligence agency, which was followed up by a statement released by the US government linking Russian hacking with direct interference in the presidential elections.
• On 10/11/16, Podesta publicly suggested that Trump may have been aware of the hacked email release. At this time Pence was asked if there were any Trump-Russian connections and he denied any such thing.
(Page 233)
4. After the Election, Trump Continues to Deny Any Contacts or Connections with Russia or That Russia Aided his Election
• On 11/8/16, Trump was elected President. On 11/8/16, Russian officials spoke with press and stated they had been in contact with the Trump campaign. Campaign spokesperson, Hope Hicks, adamantly denied interaction.
• On 12/10/16, Press reported that Russian interference in the election had aided the Trump campaign. Trump adamantly denied this said that no one actually knew who the hackers were and further suggested that the source could be the Democrats, themselves.
(Page 234)
• On 12/18/16, Podesta continued to publicly state Russian interference, questioning whether Trump campaign officials communicated with Russians.
• Newly hired Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus, denied any communication with Russians on Fox News and suggested that the Democrats were trying to delegitimize the outcome of the election.
• On 12/29/16, Obama imposed sanctions and other measures on Russia(ns) in response to Russian interference in the election.
• President-elect Trump stated that we [America] needed to move forward and that he would meet with intelligence community for a briefing on Russian interference.
• On 1/7/17, Trump met with intelligence and afterwards, a public version of the assessment was released, which concluded that there was “high confidence” that Russia interfered with a goal of harming Clinton’s campaign and that they preferred Trump.
(Page 235)
• Buzzfeed published allegations compiled in the Christopher Steele dossier suggesting that Trump had deep Russian ties, to which Trump adamantly denied and such dealings.
• Trump’s responded to these allegations with concern for how his electoral victory would be viewed by Americans, and that the story had been made-up to undermine his victory.

part 2:
(Page 236)
B. The President’s Conduct Concerning the Investigation of Michael Flynn
Overview
• As incoming National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn spoke with the Russian Ambassador to the US twice in regards to the US sanctions imposed on them by Obama.
• Press reported on these conversations between Flynn and the Ambassador and Flynn lied to incoming Administration by denying he had discussed sanctions. The lies were publicly repeated in interviews.
• The FBI interviewed Flynn about the calls after Trump was inaugurated, and he repeated those lies.
• On 1/26/17. The Department of Justice notified Trump about Flynn and the Russian Ambassador’s sanction conversations.
• On 1/27/17, Trump dined with Comey and asked for his loyalty.
• On 2/13/17, Trump asked Flynn to resign.
• On 2/14/17, Trump spoke with Comey and he indicated that he wished for Comey to “let Flynn go.”
Evidence
1. Incoming National Security Advisor Flynn Discusses Sanctions on Russia with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak
• Flynn’s position as National Security Advisor was announced shortly after Trump’s election.
• Flynn spent 2 months on the Presidential Transition Team (PTT) coordinating policy positions and communicating with foreign officials, including Russian Ambassador Kislyak.
• On 12/29/2016, upon Obama’s announcements of sanctions on Russia, the PTT exchanged emails about the impact of sanctions on their Administration and Flynn informed them he would be speaking with Kislyak.
(Page 237)
• KT McFarland, soon-to-be Deputy National Security Advisor, discussed with Flynn, by phone, whether anything should be said about sanctions in his upcoming phone call to Kislyak. Administration had discussed the sanctions and possible Russian response and McFarland communicated to Flynn the Administrations desire not to see Russia escalate the situation.
• Recollections of the meeting among incoming Administrators revealed a desire to see the situation “cool down” with Russia, and that they believed Russia wanted a good relationship with the Trump Administration and Trump believed Obama imposed sanctions to embarrass and delegitimize Trump’s electoral win.
• Following his phone call with McFarland, Flynn spoke with Kislyak and requested that Russia respond to the sanctions in a “reciprocal manner” without escalation. Flynn then debriefed McFarland regarding the call to Kislyak. Putin announced on 12/30/17, that Russia would not escalate the situation.

>>6339399
>>6339441
part 3:
(Page 238)
• 12/31/16, Kislyak phoned Flynn to confirm his request had been forwarded and confirmed in Putin’s statement on sanctions. Flynn then informed McFarland of his conversation with Kislyak.
• Bannon was aware of Flynn’s Kislyak conversation and the two discussed this positive outcome.
• On 1/3/17, Flynn met with Trump believed he discussed Russian response sanctions, but did not recall specifics.
• The intelligence community was surprised by Russia’s response to sanctions, and they were aware of Flynn’s discussion with Kislyak concerning sanctions. They already had an open investigation concerning Flynn’s relationship to the Russian government, and this situation became a “key component” of the investigation.
(Page 239)
2. President-Elect Trump is Briefed on the Intelligence Community’s Assessment of Russian Interference in the Election and Congress Opens Election-Interference Investigations.
• On 1/6/17, Trump and his Administration was briefed on Russia’s interreference in the 2016 election.
• Comey privately briefed Trump on allegations made in the Steele dossier. Comey’s memorandum of the meeting revealed Trump spoke highly of Comey, looked forward to working with him and hoped he planned to remain FBI Director. Comey stated that Trump “seemed defensive” and Comey assured Trump that he was not the target of investigations.
• On 1/10/17, media reported on the Trump-Comey meeting and the Steele dossier. Trump requested whether the intelligence community leaders could make a public statement refuting dossier allegations.
• Three congressional committees opened investigations on the Russian interference and the possibility of Trump-Russian collusion:
o On 1/13/17, (bipartisan) Senate-Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI)
o On 1/25/17, House Permanent Selection Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI)
o On 2/2/17, Senate Judiciary Committee
(Page 240)
3. Flynn Makes False Statements About his Communications with Kislyak to Incoming Administration Officials, the Media, and the FBI
• On 1/12/17, WaPo reported Flynn’s communication with Kislyak and violated the Logan Act as well as possible “undercut US sanctions.”
• Trump was upset by the WaPo story and asked Priebus about it. Priebus spoke to Flynn and Flynn said he felt pressure to “kill the story.” Flynn told McFarland to call WaPo and inform that no such discussions had occurred regarding sanctions, which McFarland did despite knowing it was false. WaPo updated the story stating a Trump official had denied the sanction discussion.
• Flynn denied his conversation with Kislyak to incoming Administration as well as to VP Pence and press secretary Sean Spicer, all of whom reaffirmed that denial in media interviews.
