I'm a Texas anon and I went to my usual voting place. It was laughable how few dems there were at our voting place. I even joked that maybe we should toss confetti for the few that came in. I had to wait in a long line to vote for the repub primary.

I really think this is drummed up Soros horseshit trying to flip the state in order to offer some hope to the dems. Keep in mind the Texas urban areas are as blue as most urban areas in the country, so Austin is full of libtards who would have voted for Wendy Davis.

They've been spending boatloads of money on Texas and probably hoping/praying their illegal alien cheats will help them. (Texas has a big border with Mexico) Texas does use electronic voting booths. I guarantee you that Texans will be up in arms if we get stuck with some gun grabbing dem governor though.

Also, if Q is right, dems will be TOXIC this year and that translates into low voter turnout so I am hopeful.

One of the big issues in Texas is property taxes. We pay through the nose to own property and the pricetag has been skyrocketing without an upper limit in sight. This has come down squarely on the statehouse's shoulders since they were supposed to address this issue last year and they didn't get it done. One of the issues on our ballot had to do with dispensing with the property tax in favor of a consumption tax but I have lived in states where they did that and I'm not sure it's the right thing to do here. I think the state should reign in themselves and stop taking so much from the people, not change how they collect the money so they can hide how much they take.

I was listening to a radio host the other day who pissed me off because he was complaining about candidates attacking incumbants during the primaries. He's like 'this guy's been an incumbant for years why are you going to go after him like that?" and my thinking was, sorry I don't care how many years he's served, if he's not voting for what the Texas people want, then he needs to get out of there... damn straight he needs to be held accountable.
