SAN FRANCISCO — Google plans to invest more than $13 billion this year on new and expanded data centers and offices across the U.S.
CEO Sundar Pichai announced the news in a blog post Wednesday , emphasizing the company’s growth outside its Mountain View, California, home and across the Midwest and South.
“2019 marks the second year in a row we’ll be growing faster outside of the (San Francisco) Bay Area than in it,” he wrote.
Google will build new data centers in Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia. Pichai estimated the construction of the new centers will employ 10,000 workers.

Spending Bill Allows Mexican Cartel-Connected Texas Counties to Stop Border Wall
A key provision in the spending bill being presented to President Trump for signing stipulates that the federal government give specific Texas border counties the opportunity to derail any efforts to build barriers, fencing, or walls by simply opposing the construction of the border security measures–but many of the specified counties have a long and recent history of top officials taking bribes from the Mexican Gulf Cartel. Ultimately, the bill allows county offices with historic ties to the Gulf Cartel to stop U.S. border barriers from being constructed in the region.
Local government officials spoke out against the building of additional border barriers and have relied on the judgment of local law enforcement officials. As Breitbart News reported, the bill being presented to President Trump has a stipulation that would require the approval of local governments in order to move forward with the construction of any border barriers. However, the three counties where the border barriers were expected to be built are Starr, Hidalgo, and Cameron–three counties that in the less than 20 years have seen five sheriffs and numerous top law enforcement officials sent to prison for receiving bribes from the Mexican Gulf Cartel, or other acts of public corruption.
The following are a few of the top law enforcement officials who were sent to prison or are currently being tried in corruption cases:
— Former La Joya Police Chief Geovani Hernandez is facing various drug trafficking charges for allegedly helping Mexico’s Gulf Cartel move cocaine and marijuana in order to pay for his campaign to a higher office. Hernandez is still awaiting trial.
— Former Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino just finished serving a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to having taken money from convicted Mexican drug lord Tomas “El Gallo” Gonzalez in exchange for favors. During the investigation into Treviño’s dealings with Gonzalez, close to 20 Texas law enforcement officials pleaded guilty or were tried and convicted for various corrupt activities dealing with drug trafficking. Treviño’s son Jonathan Treviño is serving a 17-year prison sentence for being the de facto leader of a drug task force called Panama Unit that raided narcotics stash houses only to sell the seized contraband on the side.
— Former Cameron County Sheriff Conrado Cantu is serving a 24-year prison sentence for his role in protecting Gulf Cartel members living in his county and their businesses. Cantu helped protect the cartel’s drug trafficking, money laundering, and underground casinos.
— Former Starr County Sheriff Raymundo “Ray” Guerra spent 5 years and four months in prison for his role in helping members of Mexico’s Gulf Cartel move drugs freely through his county.
— Former Starr County Sheriff Eugenio “Gene” Falcon spent two years in prison for bribery and conspiracy to commit fraud. Falcon was accused by the FBI of taking bribes from a Starr County Bondsman in exchange for sending customers his way. However, according to news reports from the time, Falcon was known to have connections with Mexican drug lords and drug traffickers in the region. Falcon allegedly looked the other way since the drugs were moved through Starr County and were not distributed locally, as Texas Monthly reported in 1998.
— Former Hidalgo County Sheriff Brigido “Brig” Marmolejo was arrested and eventually convicted in 1994 after a 10-month long investigation. According to prosecutors, Marmolejo took a monthly $5,000 bribe and additional sums of money from top Mexican drug trafficker Homero Beltran Aguirre. The bribe was meant to earn preferential treatment for Beltran Aguirre who at the time he was being housed at the Hidalgo County Jail. Marmolejo would at times let Beltran Aguirre use his office so the drug lord could have conjugal visits from his wife or girlfriends. After serving his sentence, Marmolejo retired from the public eye.

After gaining their confidence, he persuaded them to pose for more revealing pictures. The girls were then convinced, if possible, that prostitution was the best way to get into modeling or movie careers.
If they refused, they were blackmailed with the threat that the photographs would be sent to their families. In some cases, they were simply abducted. Several girls cited in the investigating judge’s report accuse Mr. Bourgeois of rape.
Six people were charged with the running the international prostitution ring.
Its call-girls entertained De Niro and many others. The agency specialized in tricking, or trapping, star-struck teenage girls into selling their bodies with the promise of careers as models or actresses.
The documents are worse than a trashy sex novel.
They mention Hollywood stars and high-ranking foreign dignitaries. They speak of arms deals and politicians from our country. The mainstream media has done everything they could to sweep it under the carpet in order to protect celebrities like De Niro.
John Lichfield, a journalist that works for London’s Independent, stated that the agency regularly hired young girls, some as young as 15 years old. They force them to have sex with Hollywood elites.
Lichfield discovered the documents and wrote, “Six people are charged with the running of an international prostitution ring, whose call-girls entertained the actor Robert De Niro, the former tennis player, Wojtek Fibak, two senior (but unnamed) French politicians and several Gulf princes. The files of clients’ names seized by the police are said to include many well-known members of the sports and show-business jet-set on both sides of the Atlantic. The only names to emerge so far are De Niro, Fibak and the French film producer, Alain Sarde.
De Niro was involved in a much-publicized “arrest” in Paris while filming a movie. He was questioned only as a witness and an occasional client of the network.
It has also been reported that a former employee of Robert De Niro’s at Tribeca Grill recently came forward.
She spoke to the New York Post regarding what it was like working for the Hollywood star. She revealed that De Niro treated his employees like trash.

According to court records from 1998, Independent journalist John Lichfield discovered that the prostitution agency routinely ensnared girls as young as 15, forcing them to have sex with Hollywood’s rich and powerful elite.
The French Vice Squad traced 89 young women who said they had been tricked or sometimes physically constrained by the agency into working for them. The girls were sometimes “sold on like cattle” to other call-girl agencies.
While it is not clear whether or not De Niro was supplied with underage girls, his involvement in the ring received little to no media coverage.
The case uncovers the brutal methods used to snare young women, some as young as 15, into a call-girl agency.
It also exposes attempts by the French government machine to block an investigation. Seems France did not want to embarrass senior politicians and damage French interests abroad.
According to the documents, the agency’s photographer, Jean-Pierre Bourgeois, hung about Parisian nightclubs or casting agencies, scouting victims. He picked on young women, often a teenager, and invited them to his apartment to take trial shots.
After gaining their confidence, he persuaded them to pose for more revealing pictures. The girls were then convinced, if possible, that prostitution was the best way to get into modeling or movie careers.
If they refused, they were blackmailed with the threat that the photographs would be sent to their families. In some cases, they were simply abducted. Several girls cited in the investigating judge’s report accuse Mr. Bourgeois of rape.
Six people were charged with the running the international prostitution ring.
Its call-girls entertained De Niro and many others. The agency specialized in tricking, or trapping, star-struck teenage girls into selling their bodies with the promise of careers as models or actresses.
The documents are worse than a trashy sex novel.
They mention Hollywood stars and high-ranking foreign dignitaries. They speak of arms deals and politicians from our country. The mainstream media has done everything they could to sweep it under the carpet in order to protect celebrities like De Niro.
John Lichfield, a journalist that works for London’s Independent, stated that the agency regularly hired young girls, some as young as 15 years old. They force them to have sex with Hollywood elites.
Lichfield discovered the documents and wrote, “Six people are charged with the running of an international prostitution ring, whose call-girls entertained the actor Robert De Niro, the former tennis player, Wojtek Fibak, two senior (but unnamed) French politicians and several Gulf princes. The files of clients’ names seized by the police are said to include many well-known members of the sports and show-business jet-set on both sides of the Atlantic. The only names to emerge so far are De Niro, Fibak and the French film producer, Alain Sarde.
De Niro was involved in a much-publicized “arrest” in Paris while filming a movie. He was questioned only as a witness and an occasional client of the network.
It has also been reported that a former employee of Robert De Niro’s at Tribeca Grill recently came forward.
She spoke to the New York Post regarding what it was like working for the Hollywood star. She revealed that De Niro treated his employees like trash.

Just last year, De Niro decided to slam President Trump and dub him a sexual predator. He went so far as to call Trump “a dog.”

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein removed then-Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe from the Russia investigation in May 2017 upon appointing special counsel Robert Mueller to take over the probe, according to a Feb. 14 statement by the Department of Justice. The revelation is significant because, days prior to being removed, McCabe took the extraordinary step of opening an obstruction-of-justice investigation into President Donald Trump following Trump’s firing of then-FBI Director James Comey on May 9, 2017. McCabe opened the obstruction investigation days after telling the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that he wasn’t aware of any effort to impede the FBI’s Russia probe. Rosenstein recommended Comey’s firing to Trump in a May 9, 2017, letter titled “Restoring Public Confidence in the FBI”. On May 17, 2017, Rosenstein appointed Mueller.
In the nine days between Comey’s firing and Mueller’s appointment, a series of events occurred suggesting that Rosenstein wrested control of the investigation from McCabe. On May 11, as McCabe testified before the Senate intelligence committee, Rosenstein pulled the committee chairman and ranking member into a private meeting in a secure room. On May 16, one day before the appointment of the special counsel, Rosenstein met with Trump and Mueller. “We were interviewing replacements at the F.B.I. Did you know Mueller was one of the people that was being interviewed?” Trump told The New York Times. “… now what happens is, [Mueller] leaves the office. Rosenstein leaves the office. The next day, he is appointed special counsel.”
In the upcoming CBS interview, McCabe doubled down on accusations against Rosenstein, including the previously-reported allegation that Rosenstein suggested wearing a wire to record Trump. McCabe also alleged that he attended meetings at the Justice Department to discuss if the majority of Trump’s cabinet could be brought together to invoke the 25th amendment. The justice department denied the allegations in 2018 and issued another rebuttal in the Feb. 14 statement. “The deputy attorney general again rejects Mr. McCabe’s recitation of events as inaccurate and factually incorrect,” a DOJ spokesperson said. “The deputy attorney general never authorized any recording that Mr. McCabe references. As the deputy attorney general previously has stated, based on his personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment, nor was the [deputy attorney general] in a position to consider invoking the 25 Amendment.” McCabe’s involvement in the Russia investigation predated the events in the spring of 2017 by months. McCabe played a key role in the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign that started in late July 2016, in the midst of the presidential election season. The investigation, Crossfire Hurricane, was tainted with bias and potential abuse of surveillance powers. Text messages exchanged by then-FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, and his mistress, bureau attorney Lisa Page, demonstrated hatred toward Trump and support for Hillary Clinton. Page served as legal counsel for McCabe.
McCabe personally reviewed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) application for a warrant to spy on former Trump-campaign associate Carter Page. The bureau applied for the warrant using an unverified dossier of opposition research on Trump. The dossier was compiled by a foreign spy and ultimately paid for by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said on Feb. 14 that in light of the to-be-aired interview, McCabe should appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee to answer questions about his involvement in securing the FISA warrant.

President Donald Trump has freed up $8 billion from various government agencies to build the wall, according to Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade.
Trump announced earlier on Thursday that he plans on signing a bipartisan congressional bill that provides limited border wall funding and declaring a national emergency at the southern border.
“Of course today was dominated by many stories. One of which was the bipartisan budget bill for border security and the big number is, that the president was not happy with was $1.375 billion to build a border barrier. He could do whatever he wanted with it,” Kilmeade began. “The question was, ‘Would the president add something with that? Would he declare a national emergency?’ I just got off the phone with Mick Mulvaney, chief of staff, and the answer is a resounding ‘Yes.’ Now for the first time, you will hear how much it is and where the money is coming from.”
“It’s going to be about $8 billion. He had the $1.3 [billion], then $600 million will come from the Treasury, the Treasury forfeiture front. $2.5 billion out of DoD. They consulted with Mick Mulvaney and the White House over the last few months on what they could actually do and they are going to use some money they feel they can spare on the drug interdiction account,” he continued. “Then they came across with $3.5 billion for the military, the military construction budget.” (RELATED: Trump Says DACA For Wall Deal ‘Highly Unlikely’)
Kilmeade added, “They feel they can help in that respect. And then, of course, they have additional money. It all adds up to $8 billion. So the $1.375 [billion] not enough for the president. He wanted $5.7 [billion]. He walks away at the end of the day with $8 billion and, of course, the Democrats and some Republicans are upset about that.”
The president’s decision to declare a national emergency for the wall was not unexpected. During the speech Trump gave late last month, where he announced he was going to end the government shutdown, he also explained that he would go down this route if Congress could not come up with a deal within a three-week period, which would have expired Friday.

It has a long range, very good loiter times, is high altitude… Part of the B-52s survivability comes from just how high it can carry its payload. Many SAMs can't reach it. Some of the larger systems can, but those can be hammered with TLAMs or taken out using strike aircraft.
Sure, you can turn and burn on the deck with a B-1, but it's not got the altitude or loiter time of a B-52. You can park a BUFF in a figure-8 over the battlespace and give soldiers on the ground a JDAM-on-demand. Call in a fire mission using a laser designator rather than trying to hump a Javelin or AT-4 system around.
The B-2 is a fancy airplane, but is kind of prissy and likes its manicure and pedicure time. So, criminal justice reform has been in the forefront of the news lately, and I’d like to throw in my 2¢…Without divulging too much information regarding my qualifications on the topic, I’d like to discuss recidivism, and life-long labels that I believe contribute to it.
Regarding the Scarlet Letter of the justice system, the Felon, this is a life-long label that simply tells the law breaker, “You will never, in your entire life, be anything other than a Felon.”. Sure, they can have other successes in life…raising a close-knit family, successfully entering a (limited) workforce, positively contributing to the betterment of their community…otherwise proving their rehabilitated status. They have a social security number, pay their taxes, and perhaps…help their landlady carry out her garbage. However, they can feel it when they look out their window or when they turn on their television. They can feel it when they go to work…when they go to church…when they pay their taxes…like a splinter in their mind. ( ; - j )
It’s no secret that if you repeat something over and over again, you’ll start to believe it…the same holds true in this scenario. If you continually remind someone that they are a Felon, with no hope of redemption, with no hope of ever being anything other than a second-class citizen, inalienable rights stripped away for the remainder of your life…well, they’ll eventually start to see themselves as nothing more than that. This form of punishment is often worse than incarceration…because it removes ALL hope of ever escaping its bonds. That, in itself, is cruel.
Of course, there are those of you out there that will disagree, have never had momentary lapses in judgement, and will proclaim, “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime!”. You’re absolutely correct, and being labeled a Felon should act as a deterrent…but NO ONE can do the time. Even after death, your legacy of all of your post-conviction successes will forever be tarnished and shadowed by this Scarlet Letter. The 19 year old naive “kid”, that was convicted of a “non-violent” financial crime of passing a bad check because he hadn’t learned how to manage his money yet, will have received a “life-sentence”. It’s a shame and a miscarriage of justice.
All crimes are punishable by a maximum sentence, yet seeing the severity, level of involvement, and personal responsibility the offender has taken regarding the admission of their guilt (among other criteria), judges more times than not, reduce the sentencing to less than this, however, the branded “F” this person receives (if in Federal court) WILL NOT, and CAN NOT be removed…EVER. Well, this is the Land of Opportunity, and we, as Americans, believe in second chances and forgiveness. I would propose some criminal justice reform, whereas first-time, non-violent felony convictions (excluding Sedition and Treason) would impose whatever sentencing that the judge deems appropriate, however the Felon label will be imposed only for the duration of the Maximum Sentence outlined in the federal sentencing guidelines. For example, if you are a first-time convict of a non-violent offense, which carries a Maximum Sentence of 10 years, but the judge imposes a sentence of no time served, 3 years probation, and a fine (based off of your cooperation, remorse, etc…), you will remain a Felon for 10 years, provided you have no other felony convictions during that time. This would apply at both the State and Federal level.
By giving non-repeat, non-violent Felons some hope for their futures…something to look forward to, some incentive to “keep their nose clean” and the opportunity to better themselves…I believe this will drastically reduce the amount of recidivism in this country. Everyone needs a wakeup call at least once in their life. Let us help wake them up.
