Full dedication ceremony: Stretch of Palm Beach road renamed
Six months after Palm Beach County commissioners voted to rename a stretch of Southern Boulevard after President Donald Trump, a dedication ceremony for the formal name change took place at the commander-in-chief's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
The segment of Southern Boulevard between Kirk Road and South Ocean Boulevard covers the highly visible route from Palm Beach International Airport to Mar-a-Lago.
The name change, backed by legislation signed last year by Gov. Ron DeSantis, sparked heated public comment but ultimately passed by a 7–0 vote.
The county stressed that the renaming is purely ceremonial. Postal addresses and emergency-response systems will continue to use Southern Boulevard.

Watching livestream of protest in Minneapolis at the Whipple Federal building.
Tonight the Hennepin County Sheriffs are driving by quite often in their marked cars. Then they stopped and got out of their 4 or 5 cars to speak with the crowd. They had to tell them that they couldn't have fires on the property where they are. Tonight they have 2 makeshift fire pits and they're warming themselves by the fire.
They say they don't. have anything with which to put out the fire, so the sheriffs say the fire department will come. So they wait with them while the fire department comes. And the protestors are chatting with the sheriffs. Well the metal illness of these people is abundantly clear as the conversations devolves.
Finally the fire Dept comes but they don't come out of the truck. What I think happened is the fire Dept can't come on the scene if it is uncontrolled. The crowd is kinda nuts. So the fire truck backs out literally.
Then the demonstrators are angry. The sheriffs leave, and come back with fire extinguishers and put out the fires. The demons-trators are angry again 'we thought you were here to help us…..
