You might recall Dan Rodimer, the GOP establishment’s pick for Congress in Nevada, going up against well-known right-wing influencer Mindy Robinson in the primary. Unfortunately, despite Mindy’s strong Trump and America First stance, she didn’t clinch the primary. “Big Dan,” with his troubling track record of violence and domestic abuse, somehow got the establishment’s nod. It’s a stark reminder that the GOP prefers taking a loss over letting an America First candidate shake things up in the Swamp. Well, now, that establishment-backed candidate is wanted for murder.

Big Dan is accused of murdering a man by the name of Christopher Tapp, who died of “blunt force trauma” to the head. The story goes that trouble brewed between the two menafter Mr. Tapp allegedly offered cocaine to Big Dan’s daughter. While, if true, Mr. Tapp’s actions would mark him as less than commendable, it by no means provides a free pass for Big Dan’s history of resorting to violence as a go-to solution for his problems.

Big Dan has been arrested for the murder, but he’s managed to post bail and is currently out on bond.

Former professional wrestler and congressional candidate Daniel Rodimer turned himself over to Las Vegas police Wednesday evening after an arrest warrant was filed in court this week for a charge of open murder.

According to court records, a $200,000 bail was set, and shortly after he posted bond. Rodimer was originally due back in court Thursday morning, though records indicate the hearing was canceled and he is now expected in court on April 10.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in a statement that Rodimer was wanted in connection with the death of 47-year-old Christopher Tapp.

Actress and America First influencer Mindy Robinson shared the shocking story on X. Mindy was calling out violent “Big Dan” for quite some time, as she was running against him in the GOP Nevada primary. However, thanks to the Republican establishment, including Kevin McCarthy, Big Dan was pushed through, only to turn around and lose in the general election, as Mindy correctly predicted.

Matt Drudge, 57, founder of the Drudge Report, became a household name after reporting in 1998 that then-President Bill Clinton was intimately involved with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

That story, which led to Clinton’s impeachment, was the first of many headline stories the Drudge Report broke over the years.

The Drudge Report published what the New York Post referred to as “largely unflattering stories about Hillary Clinton” when she served as secretary of state (2008) and when she ran for president (2016).

In a podcast interview with journalist Chris Moody, Joseph Curl, a former editor of the Drudge Report, recently revealed how Matt feared reprisal from the Clintons and would often leave the country for several weeks at peak times during election cycles.

Drudge’s response to questions about his 1998 recording was captured in a CSPAN Today post.

During the “Finding Matt Drudge” podcast, Curl shared that Matt feared a Clinton operative would plant cocaine in his car or do him harm as “payback” for his reporting.

Notably, dozens of people with potentially incriminating information on the Clinton family have died under mysterious circumstances. The term “suicided” was reportedly coined in connection with Clinton-related deaths that some argue were mischaracterized as suicides.

Curl said of Drudge: “He always leaves the country during election day or the election season — the weeks before the election — because he was afraid.”

The former Drudge editor added: “He said he was worried about the Clintons planting, you know, a bag of cocaine in his car, which he had parked in the parking lot there. So he would always take off and get out of the country around the election.”

Curl, who is also a former reporter with the Washington Times told Moody: “I really think he was…serious about fearing the Clintons. … He was certainly persona non grata among the Clintonistas.”

Notably, the strong right-leaning investigative reporting once associated with the Drudge Report has been absent in recent years, prompting some to ask, Where is Matt Drudge?

ROME — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently published a sharp letter excoriating the Vatican’s plans to renew an agreement with the Chinese government on Church operations in China. He promoted the article in a tweet, concluding, “The Vatican endangers its moral authority, should it renew the deal.”

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. In appealing to the Vatican’s support for religious freedom as a reason to drop its China agreement, Mr. Pompeo seemed to seek common ground, but in a way that upset the pope’s chief allies and delighted his chief critics.

Cardinal Parolin said Mr. Pompeo’s article had caused “surprise” at the Vatican, because this visit to Rome by the secretary and the meetings with high officials at the Holy See had already been in the works and would have been a “more opportune” forum for airing grievances. He added that Mr. Pompeo’s choice to publish in First Things, a conservative Christian magazine that has called Francis a failure as Pope, also mattered.
