On Sunday The New York Times published an explosive and very belated full admission that US intelligence has not only been instrumental in Ukraine wartime decision-making, but has established and financed high tech command-and-control spy centers, and was doing so long prior to the Feb. 24 Russian invasion of two years ago.

Among the biggest revelations is that the program was established a decade ago and spans three different American presidents. The Times says the CIA program to modernize Ukraine's intelligence services has "transformed" the former Soviet state and its capabilities into "Washington’s most important intelligence partners against the Kremlin today."

This has included the agency having secretly trained and equipped Ukrainian intelligence officers spanning back to just after the 2014 Maidan coup events, as well constructing a network of 12 secret bases along the Russian border—work which began eight years ago. These intelligence bases, from which Russian commanders' communications can be swept up and Russian spy satellites monitored, are being used launch and track cross-border drone and missile attacks on Russian territory.

Over coffee this morning, I found myself wondering what Dr. Fauci is up to these days. I was already aware that he’d joined the Georgetown School of Medicine faculty as a “distinguished professor” last summer. More recently in the news is the announcement that his memoir—On Call: A Doctor's Journey in Public Service—will be published by Viking on June 18, 2024.

The following is the publisher’s description of the book on Amazon:

1). Oversaw grants to the key players who were responsible for creating SARS-CoV-2 in a lab.

2). Concealed the true (lab) origin of SARS-CoV-2.

3). Undermined President Trump’s advocacy of early treatment modalities such as hydroxychloroquine, and was generally dismissive of early treatment.

4). Strongly advocated the widespread use of Remdesivir, in spite of clear data that it causes kidney damage, especially in patients with already compromised kidney function.

5). Was a key actor pushing mass vaccination with mRNA gene transfer shots that are neither safe nor effective.

Especially bizarre in the book description is the final sentence: “He is the embodiment of “speaking truth to power,” with dignity and results.

In fact, Dr. Fauci is the embodiment of overarching, illegitimate power that has no place in a constitutional republic.

Financier and philanthropist Lord Jacob Rothschild has died aged 87, his family has said.

In a statement to the news agency PA on Monday, Rothschild’s family said “our father Jacob was a towering presence in many people’s lives” and that he would “be buried in accordance with Jewish custom in a small family ceremony”. No cause was given.

Born in April 1936, Rothschild was educated at Eton College before studying history at Christ Church, Oxford. A scion of the well-known British banking dynasty, he joined NM Rothschild after university.

The bank rose to fame in 1815 when Nathan Mayer Rothschild made a fortune buying British government bonds in anticipation of Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo.

Rothschild ultimately left the family business in a dispute over strategy with his cousin, Evelyn, selling his stake and forming RIT Capital Partners. He chaired the listed investment trust from 1988 until 2019.

Rothschild also co-founded J Rothschild Assurance Group — now known as wealth manager St James’s Place — alongside Sir Mark Weinberg and Mike Wilson in 1991.

He held many other notable roles in his decades-long career. Between 2003 and 2008, Rothschild was deputy chair of BSkyB Television, and he was on the international advisory board of US private equity giant Blackstone. He backed Sir Martin Sorrell’s investment vehicle S4 Capital after Sorell’s departure from advertising group WPP.

Alongside his corporate life, Rothschild was a noted philanthropist and patron of the arts, leading a number of cultural institutions and personally financing architectural restoration projects across the UK.

He filled it with artworks by contemporary artists and designers such as Jeff Koons and it became the National Trust’s most visited house.

“Sad to hear the news about Jacob Rothschild — he made the very most of the privilege he was born into, contributing hugely to the cultural and commercial life of Britain,” George Osborne, former UK chancellor and chair of the British Museum, wrote on X.

“His contributions to the Waddesdon gallery make it one the jewels of the British Museum. Smart, curious, full of new projects and with a dry humour — he will be missed.”

A 2010 profile in the Financial Times said the family had “tended to offset their astounding wealth and lavish properties with a sober, retiring private demeanour”. He told the newspaper: “I don’t, you know, usually give interviews. So if you decide to write anything, I’d rather it wasn’t about me.”

Still, Rothschild was a prominent figure in UK society, accepting an honorary fellowship from the British Academy in 1998 and being appointed to the Order of Merit — which has only 24 members — by the Queen in 2002. Lucian Freud painted him, while he was chair of the National Gallery, in a 1989 portrait called “Man in a Chair”. He also sat for David Hockney.

As well as contributing to cultural life in Britain, Rothschild was active in Israel, serving as chair of Yad Hanadiv, the family foundation, from 1989 until 2018.

In a post on X, the Rothschild Foundation said it was “deeply saddened to announce the death of Lord Rothschild, businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and cultural leader”.

“He will be greatly missed by his family, his colleagues and his many friends,” it added.

KIEV, April 14. /TASS/. Ukraine’s front-running presidential contender and showmanVladimir Zelensky has refused to take a drug and alcohol testat the Olympic National Sports Complex in Kiev together with incumbent President Pyotr Poroshenko amid fears of provocation.

"One day after all this election information will come to the surface that someone had prepared provocation against me at the Olympic National Sports Complex. I didn’t go there, I had received this secret information. Now I’m not ready to speak about it," Zelensky told Novosti Ukraine newspaper in an interview posted on Youtube.

The politician did not rule out that he could have been misinformed, but he did not blame anyone and did not turn to police. "I don’t need speculations,I don’t have to prove the society that I’m not a drug user, I’m not. That’s why for me all this was offensive, tough and vulnerable [accusations of drug addiction], but I’m a strong guy and I’m not ready to change my terms and position," Zelensky said.

Zelensky also confirmed that he knew the owner of the Eurolab private clinic, where he had earlier passed tests, stressing that he was ready to undergo them in another international clinic.

Earlier, Zelensky suggested that Poroshenko should take medical tests for drugs and alcohol. Early on April 5, both candidates visited different medical centers and underwent blood tests, and their results were negative. Poroshenko also passed a test at the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

In the first round of Ukraine’s presidential race on March 31, the candidate from the Servant of the People party Vladimir Zelensky received 30.24% of the vote, while Poroshenko, who seeks a second term, came in second with 15.95%. The runoff is scheduled for April 21.

Kremlin responds to CIA revelations

It’s no secret that the US is training people in Ukraine for subversive work against Russia, Dmitry Peskov has said

The US has long been working in Ukraine to prepare operatives for subversive work against Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday. His comments came after the New York Times claimed the CIA has been actively involved in Ukraine since the 2014 Maidan coup.

“The work of so-called American advisers, most of whom departmentally belonged to the CIA, is well known,” Peskov told TASS when asked to comment on the NYT article published on Sunday.

These people “occupied jobs in the building of the presidential administration of Ukraine… this is not a secret,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

According to Peskov, the CIA andother US agenciesbegan operating in Ukraine long before 2014, actively recruiting people and preparing them for “subversive work against our country.”

In its report, the NYT claimed that the CIA has turned Ukraine into a major asset to spy on Russia since the Maidan coup. It further alleged that the US has funded and organized a network of secret bases throughout Ukraine, making Kiev part of a “secret coalition” against Moscow.

According toNYT journalists, Ukraine currently hosts at least 12 spy bases that actively gather information on Russia, eavesdrop on its military communications, coordinate drone strikes, hack into Russian, Belarusian and Chinese satellites, and manage a network of agents inside Russia itself.

Back in October, the Washington Post also reported that theCIA had invested “tens of millions” of dollars in Ukraine since 2014 to transform Kiev’s spy agencies into “potent allies against Moscow.” The outlet stated that US intelligence services maintain a “significant presence” in Kiev to this day, even as the Ukrainian Security Service has carried out “dozens of assassinations against Russian officials, alleged collaborators, military officers and prominent war supporters,” such as journalist Daria Dugina, who was killed in August 2022.

Moscow, meanwhile, has repeatedly described increased US activity on Ukrainian territory, as well as Kiev’s NATO aspirations, as threats to its national security and one of the key reasons for launching its military operation in February 2022.

"The Devine Nine" seem to be able to juggle opposing agendas.
