Surgeon Whistleblower Alleges Texas Children’s Hospital Ignores Law Protecting Children from Transgender Procedures

A surgeon whistleblower says his savings have been “wiped out” by lawyers after he exposed a Texas hospital’s secret procedures on kids.

Dr. Eithan Haim, a former Texas Children’s Hospital surgeon, told Fox News that he has had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in response to an investigation against him.

The doctor is reportedly a whistleblower who is behind the release of documents that allegedly show the hospital had not abided by Texas’s ban on transgender surgeries for minors.

Texas law prohibits prescribing puberty blockers and hormones to children.

While the Texas Children’s Hospital has reportedly said it would not provide such procedures to minors, Dr. Haim came forward as a whistleblower and gave documents to journalist Christopher Rufo that allegedly expose the hospital for behaving otherwise.

The documents claim the children’s hospital has never abided by the Texas law. In one instance, a doctor allegedly surgically inserted a drug-delivery implant in an 11-year-old patient.

Dr. Haim told Laura Ingraham that shortly the documents alleging the children’s hospital engaged in this behavior went public, federal agents with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) arrived at his home and served him with a Department of Justice letter saying he was a “potential target” in a “new criminal investigation.”

The doctor has since reportedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to counter this probe, which has “wiped out his savings.” Dr. Haim has also since launched a GiveSendGo campaign as he continues to fight the investigation.

After Ingraham asked, “Why exactly are they saying that they’re coming after you?” Dr. Haim said:

“You know, I wish I had a good answer for that, but honestly, I couldn’t tell you. Your guess would probably be just as good as mine,” Haim replied, adding that he believes it to be a “politically motivated investigation” because of what he called HHS’ “ideological capture” and commitment to transgender ideology.

Dr. Haim believes he is being pursued by the feds because he “told the truth” about transgender procedures taking place in the Texas Children’s Hospital.

“It’s because I had told the truth, and that’s one of the things — if you counter the dominant political ideology, they’re going to come after you,” the surgeon said. “At some point, we have to fight against it.”

Hunter Biden And Kevin Morris Set Up Unusual Payment Structure For $875,000 Art Purchase, Testimony shows

Hunter Biden appeared to use his substantial art sales to pay off the loan debt owed to his fixer who paid off Hunter’s overdue taxes and funded his lifestyle.

Hunter Biden’s art gallerist Georges Berges testified in January before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees, and described to lawmakers how Hunter and his financier, Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris, used an $875,000 art sale to allow Hunter to pay back loan debt he owed to Morris, according to a transcript reviewed by the Daily Caller.

Berges told lawmakers Hunter Biden knew Morris purchased $875,000 worth of Hunter’s art out of his $1.5 million in sales.

“And, of that, $875,000 is sold to Kevin Morris, correct?” Berges was asked.

“That’s correct,” he responded.

“And he knows that Kevin Morris was a buyer of his art, right?”

“I assume so,” the gallerist answered.

Berges recalled Morris having a large art collection in his house, including a piece Hunter Biden made that Berges did not sell. Berges said he did not tell Hunter Biden that Morris bought his art, but that Hunter knew about Morris’ purchase because of the debt payment arrangement.

US Launches More Strikes Against Houthis in Yemen as Escalations Continue

CENTCOM says the strikes were launched early Tuesday

The US military said Tuesday that it launched more strikes against the Houthis in Yemen as tensions in the region continue to escalate.

US Central Command claimed that it hit Houthi anti-ship missiles. “At approximately 4:15 am (Sanaa time), US Forces struck and destroyed four Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles prepared to launch from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen,” CENTCOM said.

But later in the day, the Houthis were able to target a Greek-owned ship in the Red Sea despite the US strikes. CENTCOM said the M/V Zografia “reported they were struck but seaworthy and were continuing their Red Sea transit. No injuries were reported.”

The Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, took credit for the attack and said the Zografia was bound for Israel. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said Yemeni forces “targeted the ship Zogravia, which was headed to the ports of occupied Palestine, with several adequate missiles, leaving direct hits.”

The Houthis have made clear they will not stop attacks on Israeli-linked commercial shipping until the US-backed Israeli slaughter in Gaza ends. But the US has shown no interest in pressuring the Israelis to lift the siege, and escalations continue all over the region as a result.

The strikes on Tuesday marked the third time the US bombed Yemen since Friday, when the US was joined by the UK in striking dozens of Houthi sites. As a result, the Houthis are now targeting American and British commercial shipping, and more shipping companies are suspending transits through the Red Sea, including the British oil giant Shell.

US officials have acknowledged that the strikes on Yemen did not hamper the Houthis’ offensive capabilities. The Houthis endured a brutal US-backed Saudi-led bombing campaign and blockade from 2015-2022 and only became a more formidable fighting force during that time.

A fragile ceasefire between the Saudis and the Houthis has held relatively well since April 2022, and Riyadh is distancing itself from the current US anti-Houthi operations. The US-backed Saudi war on the Houthis killed 377,000 people from 2015-2022, according to the UN. More than half died of starvation and disease caused by the siege.

The People's House?

The 2006 midterms were, we are told, a great change election. Countless incumbents were swept from power and control shifted from one party to another in both houses of Congress. Well, at least one part of that sentence is true. While the Democrats did wind up in control, over 94% of incumbents were re-elected. The irony, of course, is that knocking off less than 6% of incumbents is considered remarkable. It sounds big compared to the less than 2% of incumbents who had lost in every election since 1996, but it still means that most incumbents had little to fear.

The House of Representatives is known as the “People’s House,” because the framers wanted it to be the body of the federal government that is most sensitive to voter opinion. With members representing individual localities rather than states at large, with terms limited to a quick two years, and with every vacancy requiring a special election to be filled rather than appointment, one would assume that the U.S. House, more than any other body, would shift control in sync with the political attitude of the national electorate. In the mean time, it would also follow that the presidency – where presides our head of state and the commander in chief of our armed forces – would be more stable, less prone to big shifts that could affect how our laws are executed.

Of course, we know these things not to be so. In fact, rather than being the most accountable body, the House has changed hands only twice since 1954 , in 1994 and 2006. In that same period, however, the party in control of the Oval Office has flipped six times. The “People’s House” has shifted down Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House, in sharp contrast to the vision of our founders fearful of establishing too much executive power.

The fact that the House tends to remain so firmly in one party’s control for so long is not due to a lack of strong political winds blowing in one direction or another. To look at the incumbency rate for the House – even considering the power shifting election of 2006 – an observer might think that there are no political winds in the United States at all. . .only the occasional slight gust that happens to scatter a small handful of bewildered legislators out of office.

The state of Tennessee is a stark example of the immovability of incumbents in Congress. Since 1966, no Congressional incumbent from Tennessee’s U.S. House delegation has ever lost a bid for re-election even once. Woe be unto prospective challengers in the Volunteer State.

Incumbent or not, House races rarely approach being competitive. The average margin of victory overall in House elections was 38.84% in 2006. That’s right, the winner of the average House race in 2006 won by almost 40 points. More than three out of every five races were won with a margin of victory of at least 20 points – far more than any share of swing voters could overcome. The advantage of incumbency is such that even in a bad year for Republicans, GOP incumbents managed to outperform the Republican partisanship of their districts by an average of 1.7%.

Most incumbents can therefore run on cruise control, safe in their seats, knowing that they need not, in fact, be accountable to anyone. Legislative leaders can act in high-handed fashion if they have little fear of the other side regaining power any time soon.

Don’t be misled by 2006. Our lopsided playing field has contributed directly to the poisonous partisan atmosphere in Washington (and in many state capitals) where politics far too often overrides problem-solving and independent thinking. Winner-take-all elections, one-sided districts and incumbent advantage have nearly severed the connection between American voters and their leaders. It’s high time for a national conversation about making the U.S. House truly the “people’s house” envisioned by our nation’s founders.

Officials say commission of inquiry formed by UN Human Rights Council in 2021 is led by three people with antisemitic and anti-Israel views

The Health Ministry on Monday instructed members of the healthcare system not to cooperate with the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel, citing its perceived anti-Israel stance.

In recent weeks, senior physicians and hospital staff who treated October 7 victims and released hostages have received letters and emails from the commission, which operates under the UN Council for Human Rights. The commission requested information and interviews for its investigation of international and gender-based crimes since the beginning of the current Israel-Hamas war.

The findings of the commission’s investigations will be presented in its reports to the Human Rights Council in June and to the UN General Assembly in October.

Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reported that the Justice Ministry instructed the legal department of the Health Ministry to tell Israeli doctors and others involved in the care of October 7 victims and released hostages not to speak with the committee of inquiry.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lior Haiat called the commission “an anti-Israeli and antisemitic body” and said Israel would not cooperate with it.

Recently, new details and documents from The New York Times showed that Bill Gates had a closer connection with Jeffrey Epstein than he initially admitted. The billionaire met with Epstein at least three times, and they planned to use money from Gates' foundation for a charitable fund through JPMorgan, although the plan didn't happen.

According to a statement from Gates' spokeswoman Bridgitt Arnold to Business Insider, the men met "multiple times" to discuss philanthropy, but they did not socialize or attend parties together.

Levant inquired about Bill Gates' perceived influence and power despite lacking elected status. However, Elias did not respond.

He also questioned Elias on the number of times Bill Gates visited Epstein, suggesting there are estimates in the dozens. Levant also inquired about the reasons behind Gates avoiding legal consequences in contrast to others, including Prince Andrew, who are facing legal issues related to Epstein. "How did Bill Gates manage to escape?" asked Levant.

While media empires owned by other billionaires are widely recognized, the scale of Gates' financial support for the contemporary media environment remains less acknowledged. After reviewing more than 30,000 individual grants, MintPress has discovered that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) has contributed over $300 million to finance various media projects.

"Bill Gates has given more than $300 million to media organizations," Levant pointed out to Elias.

Refusing to answer any of these questions, Elias continued to ignore Levant as they briskly walked through the streets of Davos.

"Don't you think just for the public interest, you should have to answer some questions about the billions of dollars you spend distorting public policy? Who have you met with here? And will you ever disclose that or do you precisely come to Davos?" Levant asked.

He also questioned if meetings are kept secret and if no one knows about them. "Do you ever talk to the media or only media that Bill Gates buys?"

In their initial encounter on the Upper East Side in 2011, Epstein and Gates were accompanied by Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin and her 15-year-old daughter. While six sources informed Business Insider that Epstein served as the godfather to their eldest daughter, the family disputes this claim.

Spokespeople for the Dubin family previously mentioned that they spent less time with Epstein after he left jail in 2009. They asserted that if they had known about this year's allegations, they would have cut ties with him. The Dubins' representatives declined to comment on The Times' story when asked on Saturday.

After a meeting with Epstein, he sent emails praising Bill Gates to friends, as reported by The Times. In an email to his colleagues the next day, Gates mentioned, "A very attractive Swedish woman and her daughter dropped by, and I ended up staying there quite late."

"What did Bill Gates mean when he wrote that email about meeting a Swedish mother and her daughter at Epstein's?" Levant asked. "That's a pretty incriminating thing to say."

Once again, after all these crucial questions, Christopher Elias refused to answer any of them.

Installed UK Prime Minister commits additional £2.5 billion to Ukraine

In May 2023, BlackRock launched a Ukraine Development Fund (“UDF”) together with the Ukrainian government to attract public and private capital to reconstruct Ukraine. That same week, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy met with Laurence D. Fink, the head of BlackRock, the world’s largest manager of assets, to discuss how to attract investment in the country’s war-ravaged economy.

While those who seek to gain from BlackRock’s initiative may hail the launch as a positive development for Ukraine’s economy, a multitude – the taxpayers of the countries that are footing the bill – will not see it as a positive development for economies of their own countries.

As reported by BNE IntelliNews, raising that much money will be hard, as Ukraine’s industry has been largely destroyed and investors are unlikely to come as long as the threat of renewed Russian aggression remains.

According to the head of the BlackRock consulting group, Charles Hatami, the reconstruction effort will create significant opportunities for investors to participate in the recovery of the Ukrainian economy. However, he added that only with the close co-operation of public and private capital will it be possible to obtain the necessary financing.

The UDF is not the only funding that is going to the Ukrainian government. The World Bank set up the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (“URTF”) in December 2022.

“Ukraine needs about $3-4 billion a month in 2023 to continue running essential government services, including core public services in health, education and social protection,” the World Bank claimed. “Urgent investment is needed to repair destroyed energy infrastructure, roads, bridges, housing, schools and clinics.”

In December, the World Bank announced additional financial support of $1.3 billion to help sustain critical government services at national and regional levels in Ukraine.

“This round of financing for the Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance in Ukraine (“PEACE”) project will continue to provide support for the payment of pensions for the elderly, grants to internally displaced persons, and wages for teachers, first responders and emergency services staff,” the World Bank claimed.

The World Bank estimated in March 2023 that Ukraine would have to invest $411 billion over the next ten years to recover and rebuild from the war, with just the bill for removing rubble running to $5 billion alone. $411 billion is 2.6 times greater than Ukraine’s entire gross domestic product (“GDP”) for 2022. The report calculated $135bn in direct damage to buildings and infrastructure, not counting the broader economic fallout from the more than year-long conflict.

Since February 2022, the World Bank Group has mobilised over $38 billion in financial support to Ukraine, of which nearly $33 billion has been disbursed as of 12 January 2024. “Over 90% of this financing was provided by development partners,” the World Bank said. Several funds have been created to channel aid to Ukraine. Without delving into whether the UK is contributing through other funds, the UK has given the World Bank $2 billion. On Friday during a surprise visit to Kyiv, Installed Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced to the world that the UK needs to give Ukraine more “aid.”
