Let's do an example:

Age: 35

Salary: $60,000.

Withdrawn amount from 401k: $40,000

As part of the withdrawal process many 401k's "helpfully" offer to withhold taxes.

So, the tax bracket would be determined by:

$60,000 + $40,000 = $100,000 in taxable income.

This means that the tax bracket would move upward from:

Jimmy Carter's Grandson Shares Health Update on "Really Sick" Former President

A Claim to Fame contestant is giving insight into former U.S. president Jimmy Carter's health.

After competitor Hugo Wentzel was eliminated from the ABC series and revealed he's Carter's grandson, he discussed whether he's been able to visit the 39th commander-in-chief since filming the show.

"It's been harder and harder to see him," the 24-year-old, whose mother is Carter's daughter Amy, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Aug. 8. "My mom spends a lot of her time with him. She spends almost half her time taking care of him at this point just because of things like COVID regulations. So, it's really family oriented. I haven't been seeing him as much recently, but he knows that I love him and we're supporting him through this time."

Wentzel also shared how the 98-year-old politician has been doing since his organization, The Carter Center, announced in February that he's receiving hospice care at home.

"He's pretty sick," he noted to the outlet. "He still does use his brain. He listens to audiobooks. He's a genius. He's super smart. I love him. He always wants to be doing something with his mind, so he's trying to keep himself busy, but he is really sick and getting older."

In addition to speaking about his grandfather, Wentzel talked about his grandmother former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, 95, whose dementia diagnosis was first shared in March.

"I just want to say that she's an amazing woman," he continued. "She's put in so much work in her life. She's done things for mental health. I want everyone to know how incredibly important and beautiful she is as a person and a grandma. Yeah, she does have dementia and when I see her, she does forget what's going on sometimes, but when she remembers it's amazing. I love her."

After Wentzel revealed he's related to the Carters on the Aug. 7 episode of Claim to Fame, he went on to praise his grandfather for his personal and political legacy.

"He's an amazing grandpa, honestly," he told his fellow contestants. "I love him so much. I call him Papa. He led America and my family very well. I stand for everything he stands for. He believes in equality for everyone regardless of race, class, gender, anything. He's an amazing person. I aspire to be like him one day."

And Wentzel shared a sweet message to Carter. "I love you so much, Papa. You're amazing, and I will do everything I can to keep your legacy alive."

The federal investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election appears to be gaining traction, with the Justice Department having brought in a well-regarded new prosecutor to help run the inquiry

and a high-profile witness seeking a deal to provide information.

Alex Jones, the host of the conspiracy-driven media outlet Infowars and a key player in the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” movement, is in discussions with the Justice Department about an agreement to detail

his role in the rally near the White House last Jan. 6 that preceded the attack on the Capitol.

Through his lawyer, Mr. Jones said he has given the government a formal letter conveying “his desire to speak to federal prosecutors about Jan. 6.”

The lawyer, Norm Pattis, maintained that Mr. Jones had not engaged in any “criminal wrongdoing” that day when — chanting slogans about 1776 — he helped lead a crowd of Trump supporters in a march to the Capitol

as violence was erupting.

As a condition of being interviewed by federal investigators, Mr. Jones, who is known for his rants about the “Deep State” and its supposed control over national affairs, has requested immunity from prosecution.

“He distrusts the government,” Mr. Pattis said.

While convincing federal prosecutors to grant him immunity could be an uphill climb for Mr. Jones, his discussions with the Justice Department suggest that the investigation into the postelection period could be gathering momentum.

Two weeks ago, another prominent Stop the Steal organizer, Ali Alexander, a close associate of Mr. Jones, revealed that he had received a subpoena from a federal grand jury that is

seeking information on a broad swath of people — rally planners, members of Congress and others close to former President Donald J. Trump — connected to political events that took place in the run-up to Jan. 6.

Mr. Alexander, who marched with Mr. Jones to the Capitol that day, has said that he intends to comply with the subpoena.

A French lawmaker has warned the nation’s interior ministry about the security threat posed by right-wing militants who left to fight for Kiev, but may eventually return home.

In a written question to Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin published on the parliament’s website on Tuesday, Frederic Mathieu, a member of the left-wing La France Insoumise party, sounded the alarm about the presence of French fighters in the Ukrainian international legion.

According to Mathieu, among the 400 French people who have left for Ukraine, “there are around a hundred combatants, most of whom have been clearly identified as part of the ultra-right movement.” Some of them already had military experience before their deployment, the MP added.

The lawmaker pointed out that the militants fight in Ukrainian units such as the Revanche Battalion, founded by members of the ultra-nationalist organization Tradition and Order, which was involved in violent clashes with Ukrainian police prior to the start of the conflict in February 2022.

The French fighters in question, Mathieu said, “shamelessly display flags and tattoos featuring neo-Nazi symbols on their social media accounts.” They also “justify their participation in this conflict by the fight for European civilization” and the “fight against the ‘Asian hordes’” while embracing white supremacy, he stated.

His comments came after Ukrainian media shared a picture of several members of the Revanche Battalion with blurred faces and covered in tattoos associated with Nazi ideology.

Mathieu also recalled, citing French officials, that the danger of right-wing extremist terrorism has increased in recent years. He asked Darmanin whether he understood the risks associated with the return of right-wing individuals to France and whether “the necessary measures have been put in place” to prevent unfortunate incidents.

Media companies must use the term ‘sexual deviance’, government regulations have decreed

The Iraqi government has reportedly ordered media companies to stop using the word ‘homosexuality’ and replace it with ‘sexual deviance’. With US influence in Iraq receding, traditional Islamic values are making a resurgence.

The National Communications and Media Commission of Iraq (NCMC) said on Tuesday that it “directs media organizations… not to use the term ‘homosexuality’ and to use the correct term ‘sexual deviance’,” Reuters reported.

The directive applies to news and entertainment media, as well as to internet and phone companies, which must ensure that their apps comply. The word ‘gender’ is also forbidden under the order, Reuters added.

A government spokesman said that a penalty for breaking the law has not yet been set, but may include a fine.

Iraq’s 1969 penal code did not explicitly criminalize homosexuality, but offered no protections from extrajudicial harassment to gays and lesbians. An update to the law in the 1980s legalized the ‘honor killing’ of homosexuals by their family members, while a 1993 amendment to the constitution introduced the death penalty for homosexual acts.

After the US invaded Iraq in 2003, occupation governor Paul Brenner abolished the death penalty and rolled the country’s penal code back to its 1969 iteration. EXCLUSIVE: Mexico Investigating Current, Former Border State Cops for Arms Trafficking

Authorities in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas are looking into members of their own police force in connection with the underground trade of weapons and ties to drug cartels.

Two cases point to a network of current and former cops working with drug cartels. One of the cases occurred last week when police forces in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, arrested Oscar Eduardo Soria Hernandez — a local man who allegedly threatened his wife with a rifle.

While investigating the case, investigators learned that Soria allegedly ran an underground weapons store in Ciudad Victoria. Breitbart Texas obtained exclusive information that revealed that Soria was working with a group of Tamaulipas police officers assigned to the northern part of the state. The police officers allegedly would provide Soria with weapons for profit.

In a separate case last week, detectives with the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office arrested 41-year-old Roberto Martinez Lugo, a former state police officer on weapons charges. The arrest occurred in Ciudad Victoria, where Martinez was coming out of his home carrying four rifles wrapped in a blanket.

Even though Martinez tried to run away, authorities chased him down and seized the weapons. The weapons included four AR-15-type rifles. The rifles had logos and letters from the CDN faction of Los Zetas and are believed to have been used by cartel members in Ciudad Mante and neighboring cities. Authorities believe that Martinez was guarding and moving the weapons for cartel members.

Martinez had been a member of the Tamaulipas State Police but was dismissed for alleged ethical violations. The discharged cop is in the process of suing the police force in an attempt to get his job back.

Law enforcement sources revealed to Breitbart Texas that Martinez is tied to a group of corrupt police officers from a motorcycle unit disbanded after a 2018 attack on the Tamaulipas governor’s house. Three officers from that unit faced charges for that attack. That now-defunct motorcycle unit was also tied to the local distribution of drugs.

While authorities have linked Martinez to the cops from that unit, they never arrested him in those other cases.

Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz is introducing legislation called the “National Prayer in School Act” to ensure that students and staff can pray in schools without consequences.

The bill is intended to support a ruling from the Supreme Court in 2022 that defended religious freedom in the case of a football coach fired by the school district for praying before games.

The court had ruled, “nothing in the Constitution . . . prohibits any public school student from voluntarily praying at any time before, during, or after the school day.”

“God’s reach does not stop at the schoolhouse gates. Our country’s education policy forbids students and faculty from praying while endlessly promoting degenerate LGBT and anti-White propaganda,” Gaetz told the Daily Caller, which obtained an advance copy of the bill.

The handbook also informs parents that children can express their religious beliefs in classroom discussions and assignments. They are also expressly allowed to wear religious clothing, symbols, or jewelry, promote religious events, and distribute materials at school.

NO MORE MONEY TO UKRAINE!!

We have NOT even finished funding our own military with the NDAA and the Biden admin is pulling an accounting scam to send more money to Ukraine!

They are beginning to dole out $6.2 billion of funds discovered after a Pentagon accounting error over-valued billions of Ukraine aid.

Plus they want Congress to pass another Ukraine supplemental by combining it with emergency flooding money.

This is WRONG and can NOT happen.…

This is WRONG and can NOT happen. We should only be funding money to help Americans with disaster relief, not forced to vote to fund Ukraine at the same time!

SEPARATE THE FUNDS because I’m NOT voting to send MORE money to a foreign war to kill MORE people! This is ridiculous!!
