Special counsel Jack Smith has compelled at least two Republican fake electors to testify to a federal grand jury in Washington in recent weeks by giving them limited immunity, part of a current push by federal prosecutors to swiftly nail down evidence in the sprawling criminal investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The testimony, described to CNN by people familiar with the situation, comes after a year of relative dormancy around the fake electors portion of the investigation and as a parade of related witnesses are being told to appear before the grand jury with no chance for delay.

Twitter Owner Elon Musk Commits To Upcoming EU Censorship Law

"If laws are passed, Twitter will obey the law."

Ever since he took over Twitter, Elon Musk has been under fire from various political and media corners, and the EU was hardly to be expected to miss out on this witch-hunt of sorts.

Now, Musk appears to be appeasing the Brussels bureaucrats by promising that his social media company will respect EU laws designed to fight “disinformation and hate speech.”

This transpires from an interview Musk gave to the France 2 channel, and according to reports, he phrased it like this (the interview was, as is the custom in continental Europe, dubbed in the local language rather than subtitled):

“If laws are passed, Twitter will obey the law.”

The law he seems to have been referring to, responding to a question, is the Digital Services Act (DSA), which is already in force and will start to be applied on August 25.

It basically regulates content moderation – or, some would say, censorship – on the web.

The EU is certainly not one of those who would call it that – positive language is used instead to describe the legislation, as something that will force big platforms to protect consumers, and, “reduce harm.”

Notwithstanding its actual market position and user numbers – compared to true Big Tech behemoths – the EU now considers Twitter “a very large” platform, and thus, content posted on there is “fair game” under the DSA.

12 Infants Die in Clinical Trial For RSV Injection Approved by FDA Panel

A U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) panel recently recommended approval for AstraZeneca’s new monoclonal antibody, which supposedly protects infants and toddlers up to age 2 from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

The drug, manufactured by AstraZeneca and Sanofi, is designed to be given to infants in a single shot at birth or just before the start of a baby’s first RSV season.

It can also be given in a larger dose in a second RSV season in children who are highly vulnerable.

Although the drug, nirsevimab, isn’t a ‘vaccine,’ it’s still a dangerous injection that can catastrophically harm infants and toddlers.

In the drug’s clinical trial, 12 infant deaths were recorded.

The FDA committee said the deaths were “unrelated” to the antibody.

Merrick Garland Denies Whistleblower Allegations That Biden’s DOJ Interfered in Hunter Biden Criminal Investigation

US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday denied the IRS whistleblower allegations detailing the Justice Department’s efforts to block felony recommendations against Hunter Biden.

The House Ways and Means Committee on Thursday released devastating depositions detailing accounts of Biden corruption from two IRS whistleblowers.

The two IRS whistleblowers told lawmakers about the Justice Department’s effort to block search warrants and cover-up Hunter Biden’s tax crimes.

One of the whistleblowers, Gary Shapely, confirmed to prosecutors that Joe Biden met with with officials from CEFC, a Chinese energy company.

Shapely also revealed Hunter Biden demanded payment from his Chinese business associate over WhasApp messenger and used his powerful father as muscle as he issued threats.

The WhatsApp message Hunter Biden sent to Henry Zhao is as follows according to the IRS whistleblower:

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my directions. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”

The whistleblower allegations directly contradict Merrick Garland’s statements under oath about the independence of the Justice Department.

Merrick Garland has repeatedly claimed the DOJ did not block US Attorney David Weiss from aggressively pursuing Hunter Biden.

A reporter asked Merrick Garland about the whistleblower allegations.

A recent study by the German Institute for Human Rights examining the possibility of a ban on the Alternative for Germany (AfD) has once again put the far-right party in the spotlight.

The study published on June 7 states that the AfD now poses such a threat to the country’s democratic order “that it could be banned by the Federal Constitutional Court.”

According to the institute, the AfD could be legally banned because it explicitly aims to “eliminate the free democratic basic order” and “abolish the guarantee of human dignity enshrined in the Basic Law”.

The AfD, founded in 2013, has been accused of anti-democratic tendencies, although it officially supports democracy in Germany.

Biden Administration Approves $9.2 Billion Loan to Ford for US-based EV Battery Plants

In the biggest Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing loan ever, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has agreed to lend $9.2 billion to a joint venture of Ford Motor Company and South Korean partner SK On to build three battery plants in Tennessee and Kentucky.

The joint venture, called Blue Oval SK, obtained the conditional low-interest government loan from the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing loan program in a move to compete with China in the EV battery market.

Two battery manufacturing plants will be built in Kentucky and one in Tennessee, collectively capable of producing more than 120 gigawatt hours’ worth of batteries, according to the DOE.

The factory construction will create 5,000 construction jobs, and 7,500 operations jobs once the plants are up and running

Jigar Shah, head of the DOE’s Loan Programs Office, said in an interview that the rationale was “to have people choose to put these supply chains here in the United States, not in other countries, and to do them faster and more confidently here.”

Two years ago, BlueOval SK already announced their plans to invest $11.4 billion to build three battery plants in the United States, in addition to an F-150 EV truck assembly plant.

BlueOval SK CEO Robert Rhee said the loan will be used to “strengthen critical domestic supply chains, and produce high-quality batteries for future Ford and Lincoln electric vehicles.”

The $430 billion Inflation Reduction Act approved in August also created a $45 per kilowatt battery production tax credit. According to Ford, this could lead to a combined tax credit in excess of $7 billion over the coming three years.

Though the investments target Republican-leaning states, many Republicans have criticized the Biden administration vigorous push toward EVs and away from more reliable fossil fuels. In Thursday’s hearing of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the administration faced more criticism.

“People are struggling to afford some of the highest energy and auto prices in decades as a result of Biden’s energy and inflation crisis,” House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) and Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Materials Subcommittee Chair Bill Johnson (R-Ohio) said in a statement, adding that the rush toward green energy policies are hurting middle and low-income families the most.

Another concern is that China’s control of the minerals required for battery construction may lend the Chinese Communist Party unprecedented leverage over the future world economy.

Recently, Japanese carmaker Toyota came under pressure from its investors for its reluctance to go full-EV as it anticipates “tremendous bottlenecks” in ore supplies will accompany the global switch towards EVs.

ABC, CBS Evening Programming Ignore Bombshell Whistleblower Claims of Hunter Biden’s ‘Preferential Treatment’ from DOJ

ABC’s “World News Tonight” and “CBS Evening News” on Thursday evening ignored the bombshell IRS whistleblower allegations that Hunter Biden received preferential treatment from the Justice Department (DOJ) regarding probes into tax violations.

On Thursday morning, House Republicans released transcripts of two IRS whistleblowers, one of whom provided evidence that Joe Biden was present when Hunter Biden pressured a Chinese business partner to send them millions of dollars, Breitbart News reported.

A second whistleblower also said the DOJ interfered in the effort to investigate Hunter Biden for tax crimes, although Joe Biden’s attorney general recently claimed otherwise.

But ABC and CBS evening news programming ignored the whistleblowers’ publicly available testimony provided by the House Ways and Means Committee.

Their decision to ignore the allegations follows a historical pattern of shielding their viewers from allegations of Biden family wrongdoing:

In October 2021, ABC, CBS, and NBC spent “0 seconds” reporting on Joe and Hunter Biden’s alleged shared bank account, the Republican National Committee’s research team found.

In June 2022, ABC News, NBC News, and CBS News aired only 298 seconds on Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell” story since March 16, when the New York Times confirmed authentication of the laptop, according to Media Research Center.

In June, the network news channels ABC, CBS, and NBC spent zero time on the alleged Biden “bribery” scandal, compared to 291 minutes on the Trump indictment, according to a media watchdog report.

In addition, ABC News acknowledged in March the legacy outlet refused to review Hunter Biden’s abandoned “Laptop from Hell,” all while reporting on the infamous laptop story by printing scoops from Hunter’s legal team.

According to recent polling, 50 percent of Americans believe the national media intend to mislead, misinform, and persuade the public, as just 35 percent say most news organizations can be relied upon.

Whistleblower: Hunter Biden Deducted Payments to Sex Club, Hookers on His Taxes

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, allegedly deducted tens of thousands of dollars in payments made to a prostitute and a sex club from his taxes, according to an IRS whistleblower.

An anonymous IRS criminal investigator to the House Ways and Means Committee during a June 1 interview that Biden improperly deducted these expenses on his 2018 tax forms. The whistleblower claimed Biden underreported his total income by unto $500,000, or $267,000 using “the most conservative approach.”

“So he underreported his total income by $267,000, if you are using the most conservative approach, and that is a tax loss of $106,000,” the whistleblower told congress. “So that includes deductions for personal wages and salaries paid, personal travel expenses paid, personal children expenses that he paid, and personal other expenses that he paid.”

The whistleblower told Congress that Biden’s “statements in his book completely contradicted what was being deducted on his tax return.”

Biden’s 2018 tax returns are one of the years covered under recent Biden’s plea deal with federal prosecutors, who charged him with a felony gun crime and misdemeanor tax crimes.

Hunter reportedly deducted payments to one of his “personal no-show employees,” but as the whistleblower noted, “she was essentially a prostitute.” Biden called the prostitute his “West Coast assistant.”

The whistleblower explained that Biden also deducted a $10,000 payment that went to a “sex club,” under the guise of it being a “golf club member deposit.”

“He made payments — there’s an $18,000 wire that is made to one of these individuals, and on the wires they say $8,000 in wage and $10,000 in golf — $10k golf club member deposit,” the whistleblower said, according to transcripts of his testimony.
