Price Club was an American warehouse store chain. It merged with its competitor, Costco Wholesale, in 1993 and adopted the Costco name in 1997. The original Price Club warehouse is still open, operating as Costco location #401.

Sol Price founded Price Club, creating the concept in 1975 after being forced out of FedMart, another retail chain he founded. He and several friends invested $2.5 million. The first Price Club on July 12, 1976, in San Diego, California, the former site of a manufacturing building previously owned by Howard Hughes.

Club membership was initially only available to business customers, but was later opened to certain groups, such as employees of local businesses, nonprofits, and government. The company charged shoppers a $25 annual membership fee to purchase bulk products at discount prices in a no-frills warehouse setting. Jan 6 is the rabbithole that brought me back to paying attention, after ignoring Trump's presidency, after giving up hope for the great republic after watching all of the fuckery under Obama go unchecked.

I was just watching the Electoral events to discuss them with my seriously indoctrinated west coast democrat son. Then I saw the President of the BYGAWD United States invoke the Insurrection Act as Congress was crawling off the floor, and I lost my mind at the shit I had just witnessed.

I watched all of that live on CSPAN and it was some of the weirdest bullshit I have ever seen, and unfortunately stopped recording after all the delays. Had I known they were just trying to get their fuckery right, I would have given up the disk space for it. I had the impression the bit of DJT at the WH was pre-recorded, so I had to ask myself why …a bunch of "why?" Why would a president hold a rally that close to the Capital on the day of the Electoral Count?

Because he needed a cover story to be there.

Why would he need to be there?

Well, The US Congress, in its mightiest form of a Joint Session with the Vice President presiding, had just crawled off the floor without adjourning. Later edits show they did adjourn, but I saw it live and they did not.

So Congress is in session and out of sight, I see DJT on what I believe to be a pre-recorded video fulfilling the requirement to invoke the Insurrection Act, and so …no elected person in the US federal government is within view in these moments.

Why?

Well, some of those cockroaches got locked into their offices while people pounded on the doors. They were out of the loop. What were the rest of them doing at this time? No -they weren't deciding that since a guy in a Buffalo hat was lead in by Capital Police meant that everything that was discussed prior was out the window. Ted Cruz and Senator Lurch of Oklahoma, who formed a committee to undertake sending the contested electoral votes back to the State Legislatures already knew they'd be going back on video on the floor to suddenly be shocked and appalled at the behavior of some people and spearhead the operation to make sure no House measure to challenge the votes of any State would be signed by a US Senator as required.

Why?

Because some other shit went down. You had the president of the United States, and a quorum of Congress headed by the VP, and the Insurrection Act in effect. I decided I'd better go figure out what this "Q thing" was about -and spent the following 2 years studying every available piece of information I could squeeze out of the drops …because I am lucky enough to have that kind of time and a roof over my head.

I'm still waiting to find out what they really did that day …and been enjoying the show ever since.

Congress was gone for six fucking hours after crawling out of there …twice. DId you know they had to have a do-over because they apparently fucked it up the first time?

And I shit you not, as I was sitting there watching people politely stay inside of the velvet ropes, there were announcers -CHEESY fucking announcers, like they were doing a Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. They just kind of flashed in and out a few times, briefly, like they had no fucking idea what they were supposed to do -but its obvious enough in hindsight they were going to give us a play-by-play on the "terrible insurrection!"

Only people who watched it live know about that bullshit. I've never seen mention of it anywhere, and only had it confirmed by a couple of other people I have spoken with -so I know I wasn't just out of my damned mind…

Got a DM from a friend who said he just got a call from a friend of his who was on the ground at the Capital -to tell him they were firing smoke and flashbangs at them to move them into the Capital building. I was considering an offer to join a group of people who had chartered a bus from Chicago to DC to attend the J6 Trump speech. But when I tried to book a room in DC, I couldn't find any available, so I scrapped the idea of going.

I have mixed emotions about it.

So on Jan 6, POTUS DJT invokes the Insurrection Act while everyone pretends like he didn't, and he and all the elected members of the US Federal government that matter have disappeared for 6 hours, and next thing you know, we have a clearly botched stolen election "certified" *wink*wink* and the National Guard from several States immediately begin erecting fence around the Capital with a check point to enter and exit. This all seems just completely normal.

I was also watching pretty closely everything published by DJT's White House in these days, and I'm pretty sure there were a few hours there where there were documents up that stated things like "My term as President of The United States ends effective 12 January 2021" …and this was like on the 8th or so -just working from memory here. Anyway -next thing ya know, I see a jet from North Carolina hauling ass across the USA at high ass speed and altitude on the same day that Trump gave his "border wall speech" -you know: January 12th -that uh -lets face it ,,,made about as much sense as holding a rally at the Capital on Electoral Count day, and that plane landed at Holloman AFB, in Alamogordo.

Why would a president give a speech at a desolate piece of desert in the middle o' fucking nowhere on what a docuument saidas his last day in office …unless he was really just covering for going to Holloman AFB to toss the keys to the USA to the military…

I also could have been there that day. A friend offered to pay for the whole shot for my wife and I, and I said "Are you out of your fucking mind? We're not going, and I seriously recommend that you also do not …we're too old to be that far from home and need to run." My friend also stayed home.

POTUS didn't ask anyone to do anything. When I heard that people had actually entered federal property, my skin went cold. The awakening matters only so much as popular support from the governed is what its all about. You can't throw off the chains if the people are going to hate you for it -because then you're the bad guy.

The awakening has been done and is ongoing, but it's important to understand how strong the opponent really is. They were at this game for centuries, and how long is something we can't even know because they have so much control that we have no way to even find out with any real accuracy. They are entrenched from places so high up that we don't even know they exist, all the way down to your State, County, and City governments. They have controlled everything that has any measurable influence in our lives and minds, from Hollywood movies, your Tv news, and that girl who makes the internet videos with too much cleavage for clicks.

How long should it take to disassemble all of that without destroying everything?

They had to start at the top -they could do violence there …but working downward takes more and more care and precision. If they have managed to pull this off since 2016 …what a feat.

I believe they have just about done it though …down to the local dog catcher.

State's top lottery ticket cashers' attempt to create statewide network of scammers halted for good

A father and son duo from Massachusetts was sentenced to prison in federal court on Monday, concluding the case surrounding an absurd number of prize claims that turned out to be fraudulent.

Ali Jaafar, 63, and Yousef Jaafar, 29, both of Watertown, have received their sentencing five months after being convicted of multiple counts related to a scheme that cheated the IRS out of millions of dollars.

The scheme, commonly referred to as "ten-percenting," involves buying winning lottery tickets from players at a discount so that the winner can hide their identity from the state lottery commission, which enforces a state and federal tax on prizes and withholds owed debts, like child support, from winnings.

Meanwhile, the fraudsters who purchased the winning tickets from lottery winners would cash in on the full prize. The Jaafars reported the winnings on their tax returns but avoided paying federal income taxes by claiming false gambling losses.

The family's actions resulted in a total federal tax loss of $6,082,578.

According to the United States Department of Justice, one count of conspiracy to defraud the IRS comes with a maximum sentence of five years in prison,

one count of money laundering carries a 20-year maximum sentence,

nd one count of filing false tax returns provides for a maximum of three years.

"By defrauding the Massachusetts Lottery and the Internal Revenue Service, the Jaafars cheated the system and took millions of hard-earned taxpayers' dollars," United States Attorney Rachael S. Rollins said in a press release in December. "This guilty verdict shows that elaborate money laundering schemes and tax frauds will be rooted out and prosecuted."

Over the course of eight years, the Jaafar family had cashed in more than 13,000 winning tickets, a phenomenon that statisticians would attribute astronomical odds to.

Court documents show that Ali had simply told his accountant that "he was lucky."

In 2019, Ali was named the "top individual lottery ticket casher," Yousef ranked fourth, and another son, Mohamed, ranked third. Combined, their winnings that year alone totaled $5.8 million.

The Massachusetts Lottery grew suspicious and suspended them from cashing in tickets in accordance with a policy that takes aim at players who win with a frequency deemed "factually or statistically improbable."

Players in violation of the policy should expect to be examined at a hearing and potentially receive a suspension, Lottery Executive Director Michael Sweeney had said.

While common sense might dictate for undiscovered schemers to lay low and prevent further suspicion from arising, the Jaafars did the opposite – they sued the Lottery for suspending them from cashing in more tickets.

"This is not the result of somebody who's lucky or somebody who is, quote-unquote, playing a lot," Sweeney told the New York Times following the suit, which was dismissed in 2020.

The Jaafar family went from being observed under a magnifying glass to being observed under a microscope. State prosecutors estimated that Ali "would have had to purchase 12,411 tickets per day (each and every day), which equates to purchasing 517 tickets per hour and more than 8 tickets per minute," to account for the 569 winning scratch-off tickets he claimed for prize money over six months. The fact that the tickets were purchased "from Lowell to Nantucket, and Boston to Worcester" further drove the point home that there was cause for suspicion.

They were collectively charged with over a dozen counts of fraud, money laundering, and tax evasion in August 2021. In December 2022, a federal jury convicted Ali and Yousef of one count of conspiracy to defraud the IRS, one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, and one count each of filing a false tax return.

Court documents recently show that the Jaafars would recruit co-conspirators to their scheme in an attempt to expand their reach across the state and grow their profits. One such potential recruit, Lina Ghantous, testified at the trial about being approached by Ali to participate in the scam.

At first, Ghantous declined the offer, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, she gave in.

"According to Ghantous, for winning tickets worth $1,000, Ali Jaafar paid $800 or $850 to the customer and $50 to Ghantous for her work as the go-between," court documents explain. "For a ticket worth $10,000, she recalled that Ali Jaafar paid $7,000 to the customer and $100 to Ghantous."

On Monday, Ali was sentenced to five years in prison, Yousef was sentenced to over four years, and both were ordered to pay $6 million in restitution and forfeit the profits from their scam. Mohamed, who also pleaded guilty as a contributing member in the scheme, awaits sentencing.

The lottery retailers who were paid by the Jaafars to facilitate the sales of winning lottery tickets between themselves and actual winners will likely lose their licenses to sell tickets. According to authorities, the state lottery commission is in the process of revoking or suspending the licenses of more than 40 retailers.
