Zelensky’s top adviser issues demands to China

Mikhail Podoliak threatened Beijing with economic ruin if it continues to “stand aside”

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s main adviser, Mikhail Podoliak, has claimed thatChina must follow the West’s position on Ukraine or “lose its influence, including economic influence.” Beijing has given no indication that it intends to take his advice.

“Now China has to make a choice,” Podoliak said on Ukraine’s Rada TV on Friday. “Either it works within the framework defined by international law, and then replaces Russia in the full sense of the word, or China continues to stand aside and then it will gradually lose its influence, including economic influence.”

Podoliak’s statement came two days after Zelensky and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke by phone, their first known conversation since Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began last February. According to the Chinese side, Xi stressed that Beijing’s “core position”on the conflict is that “dialogue and negotiations are the only viable way out.”

TheUS has repeatedly called on China to condemn Russia over the conflict, which Beijing has refused to do.Instead, China and Russia have deepened their diplomatic and trade links, and officials from both countries have repeatedly condemned the US forattempting to impose what it calls a “rules-based international order” upon the world through military force and sanctions.

China and Russia have instead called for the construction of a multipolar system based on the rule of international law and respect for the UN charter. “Right now there are changes – the likes of which we haven’t seen for 100 years – and we are the ones driving these changes together,” Xi told Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last month.

Podoliak has attempted to drive a wedge between Moscow and Beijing before. Late last month he asked the Italian Corriere della Sera newspaper why China would “help Russia, which is experiencing the collapse of its civilization?”

“It would be an irreversible investment, and China is too pragmatic to make such mistakes," he added.

However, even if China were to break from Russia, it would still face a United States hostile to its interests. The Pentagon’s most recent National Defense Strategy lists countering the supposed “threat posed by China” as its number one priority, while Washington has blocked the sale of some semiconductor manufacturing hardware to China and rallied its Asian allies to shut Beijing out of this vital industrial sector.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has said on several occasions that he would use the US military to defend Taiwan – which China considers its territory – from a potential Chinese invasion.

Ukrainian command center destroyed – Moscow

The facility was targeted by a salvo of sea-launched cruise missiles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry

The Russian military has destroyed a major Ukrainian command center, the country’s Defense Ministry reported on Saturday. Cruise missiles launched from the sea were used to target the facility, the ministry’s spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced during a media briefing.

“On the evening of April 28 of this year, Russia’s Armed Forces delivered a group strike with sea-based long-range precision weapons at the location of the commanding officers of Ukraine’s joint troops grouping ‘Kherson,’” Konashenkov stated, adding that the goal of the strike “has been reached.” The official did not provide any estimates on potential casualties Ukrainian troops may have suffered in the attack.

The strike comes as both sides of the ongoing conflict, which has been raging since February 2022, haveseemingly ramped up long-range attacks against each another. Earlier this week, Russia launched a cruise missile salvo against Ukraine, targeting groupings of its military reserves. The strikes successfullyprevented redeployment of the reserves towards the frontline, according to the Russian military.

During the strike, a multistory residential building was damaged in the Ukrainian city of Uman, located in the central Cherkasy Region. It was not immediately clear what exactly struck the building, given the many instances of Ukrainian air defense projectiles having hit civilian sites in the country and even beyond. Nevertheless,Kiev squarely blamed Russia for the incident, which left more than 20 civilians dead, according to local officials.

Ukrainian forces, meanwhile, appear to have intensified attacks on residential areas in the Russian city of Donetsk, which has seen almost daily shelling throughout the conflict. On Friday, the city and its vicinity were subjected to particularly intense shelling, which left at least nine civilians dead and over a dozen injured. The attacks destroyed multiple residential homes and damaged a local hospital. Kiev’s forces also landed a direct hit on a passenger bus, killing all of its occupants.

The uptick in strikes comes ahead of the Ukrainian counteroffensive that has been long-advertised by the country’s top officials. On Friday, President Vladimir Zelensky said he expected the offensive to be “successful,”dismissing Western concerns over Ukraine’s capabilities that have appeared in several media outlets in recent weeks.

“A counteroffensive will happen. We are preparing for it,” Zelensky said in an interview with several Nordic media outlets. “I strongly believe that it will be successful and that we will de-occupy our territories.”

Poland ‘had no right’ to seize Russian school – ambassador to RT

The police raid on the facility in Warsaw was illegal under international law, Sergey Andreyev has said

Poland “had no right” to seize the school operated by the Russian embassy in Warsaw and should have resolved the dispute through dialogue, Russian Ambassador Sergey Andreyev has told RT. He argued that, under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations,diplomatic premises “under no circumstances can be subjected to break-ins and seizures.”

Polish officials, accompanied by police, entered the school on Saturday after opening the front gate with a crowbar. The authorities insisted the building had no diplomatic protection because Russia had been using it “illegally for years,” and that the officers were enforcing a court order.

The Russian ambassador said that Moscow had been in talks with Warsaw about the case until communication was interrupted by the Ukraine crisis. Like many other NATO members, Poland imposed sanctions on Russia and froze the embassy’s bank accounts last year.

“We believe these issues can be resolved exclusively through intergovernmental bilateral agreements, and not through court rulings,”Andreyev said, slamming the decision to refer the argument to the courts as “completely unlawful.”

There is a special kind of cynicism [in Poland’s actions] because we are talking about a school, about children. It’s the end of the school year, and exams are coming soon.

Andreyev explained that Poland granted the building in question to the embassy in 1953, when Russia was part of the Soviet Union and Poland was ruled by a socialist government. Warsaw has only been demanding the building’s return “for the last 10-15 years,” he added.

The Russian Foreign Ministry released a statement, vowing to retaliate and warning Poland of “consequences.” Andreyev said Moscow would respond to the school seizure in due time. “Naturally, we will do it without unnecessary haste and emotions, after a thorough analysis of the context of our relations,” the diplomat said.

Some of the military hardware given to Ukraine by Italy earlier this year wasnot combat-ready, the Financial Timesreported on Saturday. Earlier this week, a top adviser to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky revealed that the country needs even more weapons to pull off a successful counteroffensive.

The FT report quoted an anonymous adviser to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry as saying thatnone of the “20 self-propelled howitzersItaly provided to Ukraine earlier this year was battle ready.”

The outlet also noted that Kiev’s attempts to persuade theUS to supply it with longer-range missiles and F-16 fighter jets have so far been in vain.

According to the report, if the Ukrainian counteroffensive fails to live up to expectations in the West, critics may be emboldened in the US and elsewhere, questioning the feasibility of further military support.Western governments could eventually decide to force Kievto accept a negotiated settlement, the Times said.

The newspaper concluded that securing major territorial gains against the Russian forces would likely be a tall order for Kiev.

On Wednesday, President Zelensky’s aide, Mikhail Podoliak, insisted that Ukraine still needs more weaponry and equipment, contradicting the US commander of NATO forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, who claimed before the House Armed Services Committee that Kiev’s backers had already delivered 98% of the combat vehicles promised to Ukraine.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman has claimed the measures run counter to existing trade agreements

Ukrainian authorities have sent notes of protest to the Polish and EU embassies in Kiev, decrying restrictions on imports of the country’s agricultural products to the bloc. The move was announced on Saturday by Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Oleg Nikolenko in a Facebook post.

According to Nikolenko, Ukraine considers the restrictions“utterly unacceptable.”

“Such restrictions, for whatever reason, do not comply with the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement and the principles andnorms of the EU Single Market,” Nikolenko insisted. (Ukraine is not part of the EU, they haven’t been accepted due to rampart corruption)

Earlier this month, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Bulgaria unilaterally banned the import of agricultural products from Ukraine in a bidto protect their domestic markets, which have been overflowing with cheap produce. Romania did not impose an import ban, but joined the calls for Brussels to free the region of Ukrainian goods.

The spokesman further claimed that Kiev has “all legal grounds” to immediately resume its exports to Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Bulgaria and continue uninterrupted transit of all Ukrainian products to other countries both inside and outside the EU.

“The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urged its [EU] partners to find a balanced solution based on EU legislation, the Association Agreement, and in the spirit of solidarity,” he added.

The European Commission and the five member states struck a deal on Friday, following two weeks of discussion, which involves replacing individual bans placed by each country on Ukrainian imports with “emergency safeguard measures” for four major staples – wheat, maize, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds.

Sources claim that imports of the crops into the five Eastern European countries will likely be blocked, unless for transit.

(Kiev was supposed to export the grains to Africa and poor countries, they started to send them to EU countries and not help poor countries, so they won’t win this ridiculous demand. One of the key reasons why the EU will not accept them.)

Along a narrow path that mostly avoided landfall, the shadow of the New Moon raced across planet Earth's southern hemisphere on April 20 to create a rare annular-total or hybrid solar eclipse. From the Indian Ocean off the coast of western Australia, ship-borne eclipse chasers were able to witness 62 seconds of totality though while anchored near the centerline of the total eclipse track. This ship-borne image of the eclipse captures the active Sun's magnificent outer atmosphere or solar corona streaming into space. A composite of 11 exposures ranging from 1/2000 to 1/2 second, it records an extended range of brightness to follow details of the corona not quite visible to the eye during the total eclipse phase. Of course eclipses tend to come in pairs. On May 5, the next Full Moon will just miss the dark inner part of Earth's shadow in a penumbral lunar eclipse.

It was April 29, 1607. Around 100 weary Englishmen disembarked at Cape Henry, Virginia after a four-month voyage across the Atlantic.

Their first act was to gather around a seven-foot oak cross they had brought from England to pray and dedicate the land of their new home to God. During the dedicatory prayer, their chaplain, Rev. Robert Hunt, suddenly declared, "From these very shores the gospel will go forth, not only to this New World, but to all the world" (Hyatt, "1726: The Year that Defined America," 37).

Thirteen years later in 1620, the Pilgrims arrived in New England also with a missionary vision. The common belief that they were fleeing persecution is only one side of the coin. There was also a proactive vision that was pulling them forward. In the Mayflower Compact they clearly stated that they had come to the New World for two reasons: (1) the glory of God and (2) the advancement of the Christian faith.

Twenty-three years later, in 1643, with thousands of new immigrants having settled in New England and new towns having sprung up, the United Colonies of New England was formed. They too had a missionary vision. In the opening of their constitution, they clearly stated why they had all come to this land. They said:

"Whereas we all came into these parts of America with one and the same end and aim, namely, to advance the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy the Liberties of the Gospel in purity and peace" (Hyatt, "1726: The Year that Defined America," 31).

This missionary vision deepened as a result of the Great Awakening (1726-70) and became a part of the American psyche, profoundly impacting America's founding generation. America's founders, even the most nonreligious ones, envisioned this being a land of religious liberty from which the gospel would go forth to the ends of the earth, just as Hunt had declared.

In 1756, for example, Benjamin Franklin wrote a letter to George Whitefield, the most famous preacher of the Great Awakening, proposing that they partner together in founding a new colony on the American frontier in the area of present day Ohio. Franklin included a missionary reason for founding the new colony, saying:

"Might it not greatly facilitate the introduction of pure religion among the heathen, if we could, by such a colony, show them a better sample of Christians than they commonly see" (Hyatt, "1726:The Year that Defined America," 137).

George Washington also had a missionary vision. This is made clear in a prayer journal he kept in his 20s. One entry reads, "Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind, and let the world be filled with the knowledge of Thee and Thy Son, Jesus Christ" (Hyatt, "1726:The Year that Defined America," 132).

His missionary vision was also obvious in a 1779 meeting with chiefs from the Delaware American Indian tribe. The chiefs were seeking greater cooperation with the new American government and had brought some of their youth to be trained in American schools. Washington cordially greeted them, calling them "brothers," and then said, "You do well to wish to learn our arts and our ways of life and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ." (Hyatt, "1726: The Year that Defined America," 172).

Thomas Jefferson closed all official documents with the caption, "In the Year of Our Lord, Christ." As president, he negotiated a federal treaty with the Kaskaskia Native American tribe, which made federal funds available to pay for a Christian missionary to work with the tribe and for the building of a Christian church in which the they would worship. Jefferson also said:

"Of all the systems of morality that have come under my observation, none appear so pure to me as that of Jesus" (Hyatt, "1726: The Year that Defined America," 150).

John Hancock served as president of the Continental Congress and his signature on the Declaration of Independence is the largest and most prominent. He too had a passion for missions. While serving as governor of Massachusetts, he proclaimed a Day of Prayer in which he exhorted the people to pray for:

"The spreading of the true religion of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, in its purity and power, among all the people of the earth" (Hyatt, "1726: The Year that Defined America," 173).

Zelensky expects ‘successful’ counteroffensive

Recent media reports have said that the US was worried the Ukrainian push could fail to deliver the desired results

Kiev’s forces will seize Russia’s newly incorporated territories and also Crimea, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with several Nordic media outlets on Friday.

He was responding to a question about the much-discussed plans for a counteroffensive.

“A counteroffensive will happen. We are preparing for it,” Zelensky said. “I strongly believe that it will be successful and that we will de-occupy our territories.”

“We will go forward … there cannot be any questions about that,” the president said. However, he reiterated that theultimate outcome would depend on the deliveries of foreign arms. “For example, there is a risk that we will not have enough armored vehicles,”Zelensky said. The president’s words came after Politico magazine reported on Monday that the White House was worried that the much-hyped operation could fall short of expectations. The New York Times, meanwhile, said that Western support for Kiev could weaken, and that Ukraine could come under pressure to resume negotiations with Russia if the offensive does not bring “a decisive victory.”

Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov said on Friday that the troops were broadly ready for a push against the Russians. However, the same day, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba urged not to put too much stake in the planned operation. “You should not view the counteroffensive as a decisive battle,” he said.

According to the recently leaked Pentagon files, Western countries have been training and equipping nine Ukrainian brigades, while three more bridges were being mustered “internally.” NATO members pledged Challenger 2 and Leopard 2 heavy tanks for Kiev earlier this year that are expected to participate in the offensive operations.

Crimea voted to leave Ukraine and join Russia in the wake of the Western-backed 2014 coup in Kiev. The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, together with Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions, did the same after holding referendums last September. Ukraine considers these territories illegally occupied by Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated last year that Moscow would defend its territory by all means necessary. Earlier this month, the Kremlin said that the Russian military was carefully monitoring information about Ukraine’s preparations for its counteroffensive.

Ukrainian command center destroyed – Moscow

The facility was targeted by a salvo of sea-launched cruise missiles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Saturday that it has destroyed a major Ukrainian command center. Cruise missiles launched from the sea were used to target the facility, the ministry’s spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced during a media briefing.

“On the evening of April 28 of this year, Russia’s Armed Forces delivered a group strike with sea-based long-range precision weapons at the location of the commanding officers of Ukraine’s joint troops grouping ‘Kherson,’” Konashenkov stated, adding that the goal of the strike “had been achieved.” The official did not provide any estimates on potential Ukrainian casualties.

The strike comes as both sides in the ongoing conflict, which has been raging since February 2022, have seemingly ramped up long-range attacks against each another. Earlier this week, Russia launched a cruise missile salvo targeting groupings of Ukrainian military reserves. The strikes successfully prevented their redeployment towards the frontline, according to the Russian military.

As a result of the attack a multistory residential building was damaged in the Ukrainian city of Uman, located in the central Cherkasy Region. It was not immediately clear what exactly struck the building, given the many instances of Ukrainian air defense projectiles having hit civilian sites in the country and even beyond. Nevertheless, Kiev squarely blamed Russia for the incident, which left more than 20 civilians dead, according to local officials.

Ukrainian forces, meanwhile, appear to have intensified attacks on residential areas in the Russian city of Donetsk, which has seen almost daily shelling throughout the conflict. On Friday, the city and its vicinity were subjected to particularly intense shelling, which left at least nine civilians dead and over a dozen injured. The attacks destroyed multiple residential homes and damaged a local hospital. Kiev’s forces also landed a direct hit on a passenger bus, killing all of its occupants.

Ukrainian Kamikaze Drones Blow Up Crimean Fuel Depot, 'Answering' Yesterday's Air Strikes

Throughout much of Saturday a huge fire raged in the Kazachya Bay district of the city, with governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev first announcing on Telegram that "according to preliminary information, it was caused by a drone strike."

He also confirmed the fire's very large size, at "around 1,000 square meters" - as social media images and footage circulate showing a massive fireball and smoke cloud.

"There is no threat to civilian infrastructure," he said of the attack which resulted in no fatalities or injuries. Later in the day the fire was reported to be under control and contained by emergency responders.

Zelensky’s top adviser issues demands to China

Mikhail Podoliak threatened Beijing with economic ruin if it continues to “stand aside”

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s main adviser, Mikhail Podoliak, has claimed that China must follow the West’s position on Ukraine or “lose its influence, including economic influence.” Beijing has given no indication that it intends to take his advice.

“Now China has to make a choice,” Podoliak said on Ukraine’s Rada TV on Friday. “Either it works within the framework defined by international law, and then replaces Russia in the full sense of the word, or China continues to stand aside and then it will gradually lose its influence, including economic influence.”

Podoliak’s statement came two days after Zelensky and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke by phone, their first known conversation since Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began last February. According to the Chinese side, Xi stressed that Beijing’s “core position” on the conflict is that “dialogue and negotiations are the only viable way out.”

The US has repeatedly called on China to condemn Russia over the conflict, which Beijing has refused to do. Instead, China and Russia have deepened their diplomatic and trade links, and officials from both countries have repeatedly condemned the US for attempting to impose what it calls a “rules-based international order” upon the world through military force and sanctions.

China and Russia have instead called for the construction of a multipolar system based on the rule of international law and respect for the UN charter. “Right now there are changes – the likes of which we haven’t seen for 100 years – and we are the ones driving these changes together,” Xi told Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last month.

Podoliak has attempted to drive a wedge between Moscow and Beijing before. Late last month he asked the Italian Corriere della Sera newspaper why China would “help Russia, which is experiencing the collapse of its civilization?”

“It would be an irreversible investment, and China is too pragmatic to make such mistakes," he added.

However, even if China were to break from Russia, it would still face a United States hostile to its interests. The Pentagon’s most recent National Defense Strategy lists countering the supposed “threat posed by China” as its number one priority, while Washington has blocked the sale of some semiconductor manufacturing hardware to China and rallied its Asian allies to shut Beijing out of this vital industrial sector.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has said on several occasions that he would use the US military to defend Taiwan – which China considers its territory – from a potential Chinese invasion.

Office of Inspector General Michael Horowitz testified yesterday that more than 3.4 million search queries into the NSA database took place between Dec. 1st, 2020 and Nov. 30th, 2021, by government officials and/or contractors working on behalf of the federal government. These search queries were based on authorizations related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Approximately 30% of those 3.4 million search queries were outside the rules and regulations that govern warrantless searches, what the politically correct government calls “non-compliant searches.”

Additionally, IG Horowitz also admitted that somewhere north of 10,000 federal employees have access to conduct these searches of the NSA database; a database which contains the electronic data of every single American, including emails, text messages, social media posts, instant messages, direct messages, phone calls, geolocation identifiers, purchases by electronic funds, banking records and any keystroke any American person puts into any electronic device for any reason.

If we were in a functioning system of government everything would be stopped right now, and no conversation would be taking place that was not about this issue. This is the total and complete surveillance state being talked about as if we were discussing what’s for dinner.

This is beyond jaw-dropping.

Context: In 2018 CTH revealed through research of their own documents that FBI and DOJ/FBI contractors had done more than 1,000 illegal searches using the NSA database, targeting Republican primary candidates from November 2015 through May 2016. These stunning admissions were from the DOJ’s own reporting to the FISA court.

Few were paying attention.

Although the number of the illegal search queries were redacted, we know the number is four digits from the size of the redacted text. More than 1,000 and less than 9,999.

FAST FORWARD TO 2023 – Yesterday, IG Horowitz outlined that more than 1.1 million illegal searches of this database were conducted in 2021 during the first year of the Joe Biden administration.

Additionally, and perhaps more consequentially, to give scope to how the process of total domestic surveillance has expanded, Horowitz now admits in 2021 the number of federal government employees with access to this total metadata collection system now exceeds 10,000 people. STOP THE PRESSES!

Yes, congress is talking about this ‘as if’ there is some level of importance. However, the basic questions are not being asked, or have perhaps just become so accepted that legislators have become oblivious to the insanity of it. Beyond the blood boiling questions about searching the NSA database, questions like:

Where is all of this electronic data being stored?

Why is all of this electronic data being stored?

Who is in control of this all-encompassing electronic data collection?

Forget the searches for a moment, what act of congress authorized the capture of this private data collection? Essentially electronic intercepts of communication systems that flow throughout our life.

The background context here is congress debating the renewal of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and the power of the DOJ and FBI to intercept American citizen communication and electronic data via the “702” authorizations, that permit the NSA database to be searched and queried.

If the inspector general is now admitting the FISA laws have been so comprehensively corrupted such that 3.4 million searches by more than 10,000 federal employees and government contractors now have access, there is no way that any reasonably intelligent person should support such reauthorization. Even contemplating this request is absurd, beyond absurd.

The United States government is admitting to the public that a total and comprehensive surveillance state is currently in place, and 10,000 federal government agents have the authorization to monitor everything we do.

This is the admitted and current status of RIGHT NOW. Yet people are worried about possible ‘vaccination passports’ or ‘digital currencies’ or ‘social credit scores’ sometime in the future?

In a remarkable video, ABC News presented a pre-recorded interview with presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, telling viewers that parts of what was said had been edited out because he said something about the COVID vaccine that the news network disagrees with.

The interview was aired with clear edits made during parts where Kennedy spoke about his views on vaccines.

The interviewer Linsey Davis asked RFK Jr. about his belief that vaccination was linked to autism, which he began to explain before she jumped in and claimed that has all been debunked. The footage then skipped to a different topic entirely.

After the interview concluded, Davis told viewers “We should note that during our conversation, Kennedy made false claims about the Covid-19 vaccines.”

She claimed “Data shows that the Covid-19 vaccine has prevented millions of hospitalizations and deaths from the disease.”

Film Screening of ‘Medical Genocide’ Shocks Audience at University of Delaware

The public film screening of a documentary in this city has raised awareness about forced organ harvesting in China, with audience members saying they were shocked to learn about such abuses.

The University of Delaware’s Rotaract Club hosted the screening of “Medical Genocide” at Trabant Theater on campus on April 26.

The documentary exposes the Chinese communist regime’s practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.

From around the globe, people in need of organ transplants have been flying to China for transplant operations, not realizing that prisoners of conscience are being murdered for the organs used.

The event was co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Community Action Against Human Trafficking and the Rotary Satellite Club to Stop Forced Organ Harvesting. A panel discussion was held after the screening.

Audience Response

Nearly 50 students and others saw the film and listened to the panelists. Some shared their feelings after the event, often expressing their willingness to do more to help stop this atrocity.

“I thought it was important to host the event here on campus,” said Chandana Elavarthi, a senior undergrad at the University of Delaware (UD) and medical diagnostics major who is with the Rotaract Club at the University of Delaware.

“I feel one of the most appalling things is. We’re always taught about medical ethics and being very aware of how you’re treating your patients. So it was scarring to see a lot of these doctors who are knowingly doing these, like murders in China,” she said.

Monica Elavarthi, in her second year of getting her MBA, said she had been unaware of the scale of the abuse.

“I was very surprised to see just the sheer number of the forced organ transplant that’s happening,’ she said.

“I’m glad that we were able to host this event. I’m hoping that we’re going to be able to host more events in the future to bring awareness to that too horrible crime.”

A senior English and linguistics major, Emily Lewie, said what has been occurring in China with forced organ harvesting is terrible.

“I had no idea that anything of that scale was going on anywhere in the world. And I was just shocked to hear that kind of thing happening. It was just awful,” she said.

Lewie added that she could help create awareness about organ harvesting in China through her writing.

Davern Whitehurst, a sophomore landscape architecture major, signed the petition to Stop Forced Organ Harvesting after the event.

5 Killed ‘Execution Style’ in Texas Home, Including 8-Year-Old

An 8-year-old child is among five victims found shot to death “execution style” in a Texas home by a neighbor after the family asked the man to stop firing his gun in his yard because they were trying to sleep, police said.

The incident took place in Cleveland, Texas, in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 29, San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said in a statement.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Trails End area of Cleveland in response to a harassment complaint.

“While enroute, the communications center received multiple 911 calls of an active shooter incident at the dispatch location,” Capers said.

“Multiple deputies arrived at the residence and located multiple victims deceased in a resident and several others in critical condition from multiple gunshot wounds,” he added.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, who remains at large.

Ten people were inside the home during the shooting and the victims range in age from 8 to 40, according to Capers, as cited by KHOU11.

“The suspect … we don’t believe him to be in the area,” Capers told the outlet, adding that the suspect is a Mexican male.

“He’s at least 10 to 20 miles away from here,” the sheriff added.

In a statement, Capers said that a SWAT team arrived on the scene and cleared several adjacent properties and determined that the suspect had fled the county.

The victims were from Honduras, he said.

“The Honduran ladies that were laying over these children were doing it in such an effort as to protect the child,” Capers said, according to The Associated Press.

Capers said that authorities had previously been called out to the suspect’s home and that deputies had spoken to him about shooting his gun in the yard.

Last night’s incident occurred after some of the victims approached the gunman and asked him to stop shooting in his yard.

“My understanding is that the victims, they came over to the fence and said ‘Hey could [you not do your] shooting out in the yard? We have a young baby that’s trying to go to sleep,’ and he had been drinking and he says ‘I’ll do what I want to in my front yard,’” Capers told KTRK.

Capers said in a statement that three others were injured in the incident and their condition is unknown.

“This is still a very fluid scene and an active investigation,” the sheriff said in the statement.

Cleveland is about 45 miles northeast of Houston.

The War on Free Speech Is Really a War on the Right to Criticize the Government

This is not unique to any particular presidential administration.

Absolutely, there is a war on free speech.

To be more accurate, however, the war on free speech is really a war on the right to criticize the government.

Although the right to speak out against government wrongdoing is the quintessential freedom, every day in this country, those who dare to speak their truth to the powers-that-be find themselves censored, silenced or fired.

Indeed, those who run the government don’t take kindly to individuals who speak truth to power.

In fact, the government has become increasingly intolerant of speech that challenges its power, reveals its corruption, exposes its lies, and encourages the citizenry to push back against the government’s many injustices.

This is nothing new, nor is it unique to any particular presidential administration.

For instance, as part of its campaign to eradicate so-called “disinformation,” the Biden Administration likened those who share “false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information” to terrorists. This government salvo against consumers and spreaders of “mis- dis- and mal-information” widens the net to potentially include anyone who is exposed to ideas that run counter to the official government narrative.

In his first few years in office, President Trump declared the media to be “the enemy of the people,” suggested that protesting should be illegal, and that NFL players who kneel in protest during the national anthem “shouldn’t be in the country.”

Then again, Trump was not alone in his presidential disregard for the rights of the citizenry, especially as it pertains to the right of the people to criticize those in power.

President Obama signed into law anti-protest legislation that makes it easier for the government to criminalize protest activities (10 years in prison for protesting anywhere in the vicinity of a Secret Service agent). The Obama Administration also waged a war on whistleblowers, which The Washington Post described as “the most aggressive I’ve seen since the Nixon administration,” and “spied on reporters by monitoring their phone records.”

Part of the Patriot Act signed into law by President George W. Bush made it a crime for an American citizen to engage in peaceful, lawful activity on behalf of any group designated by the government as a terrorist organization. Under this provision, even filing an amicus brief on behalf of an organization the government has labeled as terrorist would constitute breaking the law.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the FBI to censor all news and control communications in and out of the country in the wake of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt also signed into law the Smith Act, which made it a crime to advocate by way of speech for the overthrow of the U.S. government by force or violence.

President Woodrow Wilson signed into law the Espionage and Sedition Acts, which made it illegal to criticize the government’s war efforts.

President Abraham Lincoln seized telegraph lines, censored mail and newspaper dispatches, and shut down members of the press who criticized his administration.

In 1798, during the presidency of John Adams, Congress passed the Alien and Sedition Acts, which made it a crime to “write, print, utter or publish … any false, scandalous, and malicious” statements against the government, Congress or president of the United States.

Clearly, the government has been undermining our free speech rights for quite a while now.

Glenn Youngkin Took $100k from an Alleged Chinese Foreign Agent

The donation isn't the first time that Glenn Youngkin has been implicated in Communist Chinese activity.

Virginia GOP Governor Glenn Youngkin took a $100,000 donation from Stephen A. Wynn, an alleged agent of Communist China.

Real estate developer and casino mogul Stephen “Steve” Wynn made the six-figure donation to Governor Youngkin on April 19th, 2023, as reported in campaign finance disclosures made available by the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP). According to a VPAP overview of Youngkin’s war chest, the Spirit of Virginia PAC has received more than $10.4 million in donations since 2021, often from out-of-state benefactors.

In 2017, Youngkin donor Steve Wynn was reportedly lobbying President Trump to deport anti-Communist Chinese dissent Miles Guo from the United States so that he could face punishment from the Chinese Communist Party, a request that President Trump denied.

In 2022, he was sued by the US Department of Justice for failing to register as a foreign agent of Communist China under the Foreign Agent Registration Act after refusing to do so and insisting that his pro-China lobbying efforts did not make him a foreign agent or a foreign lobbyist.

“The Department of Justice today filed a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking to compel Stephen A. Wynn, a U.S. businessperson and hotelier who previously served as the CEO of Wynn Resorts, to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) as the agent of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and a senior official of the PRC’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS),” a DOJ statement, dated May 22nd, 2022 reads.

“Wynn was advised to register as an agent by the department but declined to do so,” the statement revealed.

Months later, in October of 2022, Wynn’s case was dismissed by a federal judge, who accepted Wynn’s argument that because he hadn’t worked on behalf of China and its communist government since 2017, the DOJ could not retroactively force him to register as a foreign agent.

The news of Youngkin’s six-figure donation from an alleged Chinese foreign agent isn’t the first time that the Virginia Governor has been linked to the CCP.

As previously reported by National File, in 2019 and 2020, the two years prior to his run for Governor of Virginia, Youngkin joined Chinese Communist Party members, and the World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland, for the WEF’s annual globalist summit.

Ex-CIA Moscow station chief reveals why he refused to sign Hunter Biden laptop ‘disinfo’ letter

A former Moscow station chief for the CIA revealed on Friday that he was given the chance to sign onto a letter attacking The Post’s bombshell report on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop as possibly Russian disinformation — but he ultimately refused.

Daniel Hoffman told Fox News on Friday that he was presented with the letter, which ended up being signed by 51 top US intelligence officials, on Oct. 18, 2020, but didn’t sign it because there was “no evidence” of Russian involvement.

“[A]t first glance, it seemed natural to lay the blame at the Kremlin’s doorstep,” Hoffman said during an interview on “America Reports.” “Remember, Vladimir Putin is in the Kremlin and he’s well-known for cloak-and-dagger espionage operations. But at the same time, there was no evidence. And the letter noted there was no evidence.”

Hoffman explained that the arguments presented in the speculative letter were “convoluted” and would need to be scrutinized by an investigatory agency such as the FBI before being considered credible.

“It was not up to us to speculate. So I didn’t sign the letter. I typically don’t put my name to other people’s words,” he said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) revealed last week that former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell testified before his panel that he drafted the letter and that Secretary of State Antony Blinken – a Biden campaign adviser back in 2020 – was the “impetus” behind the attempt to discredit The Post’s reporting.

Hoffman said Friday that when Morell showed him the letter his now-late wife was undergoing cancer treatment and he didn’t have the time to ask Morell “what the point was about the letter.”

“So I just left it and didn’t sign the letter and didn’t respond,” he added.

Hoffman noted that standard procedure for a case like the one involving the first son’s laptop would be to meet with Morell in order to “hash out all the evidence that we had.”

“Then Michael would draw analytical conclusions with some level of confidence – low, medium or high – and bring it to the White House. We didn’t have that debate about this laptop issue. We weren’t invited to debate it,” Hoffman said.

Hoffman speculated that some of the other officials that signed onto the letter might not have known that Morell had discussed the matter with the Biden campaign beforehand.

“The part that I didn’t know – and I’m assuming that my former colleagues who signed the letter probably didn’t know either – was that Michael Morell had discussed the laptop issue with then campaign adviser Tony Blinken,” he said.

Biden Admin Releases Migrants into South Texas — Again

The downtown streets of this South Texas border community are once-again awash with recently released migrants waiting to depart the border city to other parts of the country. Breitbart Texas interviewed several dozen migrants on Friday, all from Venezuela, who spoke of the long journey to the United States and the conditions suffered while waiting in Mexico for the end of the Title 42 COVID-19 expulsion authority.

Just-released migrants congregated outside the La Plaza Bus Terminal and a nearby charity shelter that receives the migrants directly from the Border Patrol. The migrants Breitbart Texas interviewed were mostly single adult male and female Venezuelan nationals. One Venezuelan woman, Daniela from Caracas, was with her young son. As they sat patiently on a downtown bench near the bus terminal, Daniela described her dire predicament.

The Venezuelan woman told Breitbart she was able to pay for one night’s stay at a hotel after her release from a Border Patrol holding facility. She feared immediate expulsion to Mexico under the COVID-19 emergency order but instead was released after a short stay in custody. The 29-year-old Daniela says she is headed to Naples, Florida, where she has distant relatives. She explained she has spent what little money she had on one night’s lodging and believes she may sleep on the streets if her relatives do not send funds to assist her with travel.

Miguel, a 32-year-old Venezuelan national said he became separated from his Peruvian wife after they surrendered to the Border Patrol after crossing the Rio Grande. The couple met after Miguel fled from Venezuela more than four years ago. Miguel lived in Peru as a refugee due to the severe poverty in his hometown of San Carlos in Venezuela. As Miguel sat alone on the sidewalk, he explained he was waiting for his wife, who is being detained by the Border Patrol.

Miguel claims his wife’s status as a citizen of Peru means she will be processed differently than him. He hopes he will be reunited with her upon her release. He did not know for sure what her fate would be. He claims the Venezuelan migrants are kept separate from other nationalities while in custody and men are separated from the women even if they are married.

Miguel described the months-long journey from the southern border of Mexico and the delay in receiving authorization to travel through Mexico from Mexico’s National Institute of Migration (INM). Miguel told Breitbart Texas he was robbed by law enforcement officers in Mexico City and left with no funds to purchase food or shelter as he and his wife traveled across Mexico to the United States.

Minnesota bill normalizing pedophilia dropped after backlash

I’m not quite sure whether the bill is totally dead or not, because nothing is until the legislature adjourns. We do know that the GOP managed to get the language normalizing pedophilia stripped out of the bill in a vote yesterday.

Whether the language comes back or not, it is clear is that the pressure is on and the Chief Author of the bill is feeling the heat and the Republicans in the Minnesota House, who apparently hadn’t noted the change to the definition of “sexual orientation” to remove the exclusion for pedophilia, have grown a backbone.

First a reminder of what State Rep. Leigh Finke is trying to do. I described the bill in this post, so I will summarize the effort quickly.

The changes to the Minnesota Human Rights bill would redefine gender and strike a provision that specifically excluded attraction to minors as a sexual orientation, implicitly making pedophiles a protected class. Finke is claiming that was not the intent, but it is in both the bill and the bill description provided by Minnesota House Research.

The bill explicitly strikes the provision in current law that states: “Sexual orientation” does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by adults.” This, in plain language, means that if this amendment to the law passes then “Sexual orientation” may include a physical or sexual attachment to children by adults.

Pretty obvious, right? Not hard to see the intent, and the bill description by House Research makes it clear: “sections removed that allow for discrimination based on sexual orientation.” This means pedophilia will now be considered a sexual orientation that is protected.

Q.E.D.

Finke rightly points out that pedophilic acts would remain illegal, but that is not the point. Pedophiles themselves will be protected from discrimination.

The bill also repeals provisions that allow nonprofits to discriminate based on beliefs and prevent sex differentiation.
