Dietrich Mateschitz, founder of Red Bull, dead at 78

Global business figure and Red Bull co-owner Dietrich Mateschitz has died at the age of 78.

He was the key force in forming the energy drink giant, and used that fortune to create a highly competitive Formula 1 team.

Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner commented on Mateschitz’s passing and the influence he has had ahead of the US Gran Prix.

“It’s very, very sad, what a great man,” Horner said. “What he achieved and what he has done for so many people, around the world in different sports, is second to none.”

Even outside of Formula 1, Mateschitz and Red Bull made their mark in the world of soccer. The company purchased teams in Salzburg, the city closest to Mateschitz’s home in Austria, and Leipzig in Germany, as well as what was the New York/New Jersey Metro Stars.

Horner spoke to Sky Sports on Saturday just after Mateschitz’s death was announced. He insisted that the team was determined to “do their best for him.”

“We’re just incredibly grateful for him, everything that he’s done, everything that he’s supported us with over the years. So many drivers, so many team members, so many people in this pit lane owe him so much.”

Mateschitz’s death is not expected to threaten the future of Red Bull or its sister team Alpha Tauri.

Threat of Ukraine using ‘dirty bomb’ is real – Kremlin

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov says the West’s disbelief doesn’t make the risk any less pressing

There is a clear danger that Ukraine might use a “dirty bomb” during its conflict with Moscow, the Kremlin has said. The statement came after the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Kiev wanted to resort to weapons of mass destruction in order to frame Russia.

A so-called dirty bomb is usually understood to be a conventional munition containing radioactive material.

“Their distrust of the information that has been relayed by the Russian side does not mean that the threat of the use of such a ‘dirty bomb’ ceases to exist. The threat is evident,” Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, told reporters on Monday.

Peskov added that Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had recently informed several foreign governments about the matter, but it is ultimately “their business, whether to believe it or not.”

Shoigu warned his British, French, and Turkish counterparts on Sunday about “a potential Ukrainian provocation” involving a dirty bomb. He also spoke over the phone with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday that Moscow’s allegations are “not empty words.” He claimed that reports about a radioactive weapon have been verified, and Russia will bring its concerns before the UN.

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the commander of Russia’s radiological, chemical, and biological protection troops, claimed at a briefing the same day that Ukraine plans to detonate a dirty bomb or a low-yield nuclear bomb in order to frame Russia. He added that Kiev is “at the final stage” of making a dirty bomb. Kirillov also stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s office had contacts with British authorities “on the issue of potentially acquiring the technology for nuclear weapons.”

Ukraine has three operational nuclear power plants, but no atomic weapons or programs to acquire them.

Zelensky rejected Moscow’s claims and accused Russia of threatening the world with nuclear weapons. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said reports about a dirty bomb are part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Kuleba added on Monday that he had spoken to Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and invited him to dispatch inspectors to Ukrainian nuclear sites. “He agreed. Unlike Russia, Ukraine has always been and remains transparent. We have nothing to hide,” Kuleba tweeted.

In early September, Grossi led an international team of experts who visited the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, Europe’s largest, which sits on the frontline between Russian and Ukrainian forces. Kiev and Moscow have accused each other of shelling the facility.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who spoke to Kuleba over the phone on Monday, dismissed Russia’s allegations that Ukraine is preparing to use a dirty bomb as false.

The only way that this country will be united – will not be bc of a war or economic/market crash – it has to be “coup” to unite everyone. The DS’s back is against the wall and they are realizing that they are going to lose power soon bc of the “red wave”. They are not going to cheat – they aren’t going to waste their time with that bc their color revolution in America is not working; rather, they are going to stop the election – unsure how – probably use of a false flag.

When they do this, they are going to do something drastic – in an attempt to abolish the constitution – to install an interim leader with an unlimited amt of time. Congress is going to agree to this -one of their “strong arms”.

Joe Biden will not remain “president” – maybe they will attempt to use the 25 amendment – maybe they will try to install Hillary or Obama in joe’s place. They are going to try to establish a new gov’t – maybe a monarchy with a king or a dictatorship – something different from what we currently have – so that they cannot be voted out. This is the real insurrection – it will unite all of the people – except for maybe the 4-6% who will be for it. This may be the “scare event”, even if there is a first scare event from the false flag. This is the point when the military step in, when they make this move, and the country witnesses this coup. In order to enforce their authority, the DS may try to place the NG strategically. But the military will move in to stop it.
