There was a pretty long discussion in #20675 about whether to have a section under Globals for PDJT comms, digs or other notables that are particularly noteworthy or require longer exposure. Had been suggested earlier and am baker was going to follow up. The discussion was to look more closely at this idea, get ideas out on the table about whether a section like this was needed, what it would look like, etc.

So far we call it Highest Ranking Notables. Stick them in right after the Globals in the dough so they carry bread to bread. Start date so after a certain time, and no activity, they get removed. Looking towards four nominations minimum to be in the rotation.

Remember the salt rotation post. 8 was having major stability problems at the time - huge board lags, etc.. Salt change was designed to help. Most BO's had migrated their boards by then (asked 8kun admins to restore their boards using a "shared secret" (to verify their identity). Q had not so Ron asked him about it. My 2c on DJT posts.

We have to remember not to break the aggregators (no, I don't operate one). Having a new thread to research DJT posts should be fine. Removing them from notables would mean they don't get aggregated. It's also possible that they won't get aggregated if made into a special section not called "notables".

If we want to highlight them we should find a way to do so within the notable section that they occurred within. That way they're highlighted but also picked up and spread.

Need 'extraction' of info from notables, if Trump related and in the categories of Primary dates, Trump announcements, Durham, etc they should exist in the notables that are being collected and a copy of the notable link put in the 45 Global Notables Bun that is not aggregated but used as a quick look for anons / normies surfing in. Not to be used as a replacement for the notables or a standalone from the notables, rather as an augmentation and filtering/distillation of the notables germane to Trump and his messaging.

We now have so many notes on so many topics that the chief complaint is that there are too many. Can use more bakers, as always. If you want to contribute, baking is sure appreciated. If you want to focus as a digger on PDJT, that would be too.

You think i'm hostile perhaps because i made a point to say BO did not "call for" a next section. That's because i did not. Just mentioned it as a possible alternative to adding stuff to Globals. I'm conservative about dough changes for many reasons. Can do if necessary but not on a whim or not in a hurry.

re - 45 Global Notables Bun

The General Election is happening AS WE SPEAK. The GOP Primaries ARE the election this year. President Trump puts 'cues' out every day like the Wall Street Journal bun and the 40 billion$ to Ukraine and there are primary dates and rally dates that are very important to the Patriots for the purpose of getting their government back under control. To accomodate President Trump somebody came up with a brilliant idea to have a Global Trump 45 bun to document and articulate these cues. Time is the fire we all burn in and the clock on these primaries/Trump Rallies/Trump cues for digs are all time sensitive. IMHO we need to get this 45 Global Bun going asap. Trump has a rally tomorrow. There are primaries on Tuesday. There's a notable Wall Street Journal dig / Q Post correlation in the current bread and it's all being buried with no single point of collection for visibility. This is why I'm urging the board management to get this going now and not later. The only people that can defeat us is us. When a brilliant idea comes along it really is in our best interests to utilize it as much as we possibly can. And this is a brilliant idea.

Have been baking very little. If i do bake, it's usually because the dough is messed up and it's helpful to avoid confusion. Or because i enjoy it.

Admins are here to help mainly to maintain the integrity and structure of the board. There is no training manual for a board like this. Even so, the board is clean, breads get promptly renumbered, dup threads get locked, cp gets reported/deleted, messed up doughs get cleaned, and bans can be reversed bc there's an appeals process.

Graphics remain for longer than 24 hours - unlike most 8 boards - because anons are quick to report cp and admins to delete it. Admins stopped bans for anything but cp. Also backed way off on spam deletions except for Reported spam per anon preference. Have lately started using mainly delete&ban lately with one-minute bans in order to show anons what is being deleted. Can only be done on the Ban log.

Here's what my vision of the Trump bun is - pulled right from the notables in every bread at baker/BV discretion.

Maintaining the bun is the tricky part. Hard enough to maintain notables, more so these days because buns are huge. That is not bc bakers are doing bloatables but bc the news is exploding. Please ask anons and bakers whether they think notables are enough or prefer a special section for DJT in the dough. Won't stand in the way if concept is clear and anons are behind it. But enough anons should be involved in discussions that there is some kind of consensus or at least awareness of the pros and cons. Ask bakers too, a couple were not enthusiastic.
