Greenberg and Stone's alleged messages, which would refer to Matt Gaetz as 'MG,' are said to have been sent on the encrypted messaging app Signal, but were apparently screenshoted by Greenberg, according to Daily Beast.

Greenberg was out of jail at the time the messages were sent after he was arrested in June 2020 on stalking charges. He now faces dozens of new charges including sex trafficking of the 17-year-old, cryptocurrency fraud, and identity theft.

Greenberg reportedly claims 'an anonymous tip' on September 4, 2017 informed him that the girl was underage and that Gaetz was 'equally shocked and disturbed by this revelation,' it was alleged.

'Immediately I called the congressman and warned him to stay clear of this person and informed him she was underage,' Greenberg allegedly wrote.

Greenberg is said to have alleged that the girl had lied about her age and that he confronted her about the 'serious' situation. He claimed he explained to her 'how serious of a situation this was, how many people she put in danger,' according to Daily Beast.

'She apologized and recognized that by lying about her age, she endangered many people,' Greenberg allegedly wrote.

'There was no further contact with this individual until after her 18th birthday.'

Greenberg reestablished contact with the girl about five months after she turned 18 when Gaetz allegedly told him to 'hit up' the teen, Daily Beast reported.

The outlet claims it talked to 12 of the more than 40 different women who allegedly received money from Greenberg and 'they all said they understood Greenberg was paying them at least in part for sex.'

Logan Circle Group, a public relations firm Gaetz has hired, provided a statement to Daily Beast on behalf of the Florida congressman.

'Congressman Gaetz has never paid for sex nor has he had sex with a 17-year-old as an adult. We are now one month after your outlet and others first reported such lies, and no one has gone on record to directly accuse him of either,' it reads.

The firm's statement noted a recent article in Politico which reported that an associate of Greenberg said he had warned friends that 'everyone is going to need a lawyer.'

A former senator has blamed UFOs filmed buzzing US warships on Vladimir Putin, saying there was 'no question' that Russia was involved.

Former Senate majority leader Harry Reid called for the US to establish a UFO program, after the Pentagon confirmed evidence of unidentified flying objects over Navy warships off of California in 2019.

In an interview with Mysterywire.com, Reid, who has pushed before for a UFO program, discussed the potential origin of the mysterious flying objects, which the interviewer suggested may be Chinese.

'Always remember, Russia, the former Soviet Union, is run by a man who ran the KGB. They had as many as 30,000 agents at one time, KGB agents. So, Russia's involved in this, no question about it,' Reid said.

He added that UFOS were 'something that cannot be ignored' and that President Joe Biden should be briefed on the matter.

'I believe that there should be an ongoing entity, within the Pentagon would be the best place for it, whose sole job is to stay on top of the issue of UFOs,' Reid said.

While Senate majority leader, Reid pushed to launch the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, a Pentagon-run effort to study reports of UFOs.

The $22million-program began in 2007 and ended in 2012, according to the Pentagon.

However, the New York Times reported in 2017 that 'backers' said the program still existed even though Pentagon funding stopped in 2012.

The program reviewed potential threats from UFOs to aviators using classified materials.

In 2020, a similar program called the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force was confirmed; it is run by the US Office of Naval Intelligence.

Reid's comments came after photos were leaked from a Pentagon investigation of UFOs by the UAP Task Force, which was gathering evidence for a report for Congress due in June, according to Mystery Wire.

The images, obtained by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, show unidentified objects flying above four US destroyers, including the USS Kidd Navy destroyer, in 2019.

One appears to be a pyramid-shaped object while others look like drones or balloons; however, the Navy has listed them as unknowns.

In a statement, a Pentagon spokesperson told Mystery Wire: 'I can confirm that the referenced photos and videos were taken by Navy personnel. The UAPTF has included these incidents in their ongoing examinations.'

A week before, Admiral Michael Gilday, the chief of naval operations, said he had no idea where the mysterious Tic Tac-shaped drones that menaced four destroyers in July 2019 originated.

Gilday led an investigation into the incident. The group of what some have called unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) chased the destroyers for up to 100 nautical miles off the coast of California.

Flight logs revealed as many as six mystery aircraft swarmed the warships close to a sensitive training area at the Channel Islands at speeds of up to 40mph and with greater maneuverability than US military drones.

When asked directly if the Navy had confirmed the identity of the drones at a media event last Monday, Gilday responded: 'No, we have not.

Gilday's response appears to rule out the theory that the drones could have come from a secret US military program. That has led to growing speculation that they were either built by a rival military power or 'something else beyond our understanding is going on'.

Reid praised the response of the Pentagon and federal government as 'honest'.

'The federal government no longer, including people at the Pentagon, no longer criticize or harass or stop promotions of people who report these occurrences. In fact, they have done just the opposite in recent months, they now tell their pilots, (inaudible), to report these unusual circumstances.

China's Xi offers more help to India in message to Modi

BEIJING (AP) — Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Friday offered additional assistance to India in battling the coronavirus outbreak ravaging the country, putting aside a simmering rivalry and tensions along their disputed border.

State media reported that Xi told Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a personal message of condolence Friday that he was “very concerned about the recent situation” in India with the COVID-19 outbreak.

He said China is willing to provide additional support and assistance because “Mankind is a community of common destiny sharing weal and woe and only through unity and cooperation can the nations of the world ultimately overcome the pandemic.”

“Under the leadership of the Indian government, the people of India will certainly overcome the pandemic,” Xi added.

Chinese media said a first batch of 25,000 oxygen concentrators pledged to India has arrived in the country. The reports said China has already shipped 5,000 ventilators and 21,000 oxygen generators.

Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said the Chinese public, the Chinese Red Cross, local governments, NGOs and enterprises have all “taken actions and managed to raise much-needed anti-epidemic supplies for the Indian side and send them to the Indian people as soon as possible.”

Along with the ventilators and oxygen concentrators, more than 15,000 sets of monitors and nearly 3,800 tons of medical supplies and medications have been shipped to India, Wang said.

Chinese manufactures of anti-epidemic materials and medical equipment are “working at full capacity to speed up production,” Wang said.

The assistance comes despite an intense economic rivalry between the countries, Beijing's distrust of closer India-U.S. ties, and ongoing border tensions following a bloody clash last year in the Ladakh region.

Wang also said Chinese airlines are operating cargo flights to India and authorities are accelerating customs clearance and transport for supplies such as liquid oxygen storage tanks and oxygen generators from several Chinese cities.

“China will continue to maintain smooth export channels for materials to India,” Wang said.
