How to handle the Vanwanet Bot Mitigation Challenge

This really screws a lot of people up. The challenge is active at the time of this writing but there is an easy way to deal with it. The challenge will run invisibly whenever you load the catalog or a thread but it times out after a while because you are on TOR which usually rotates the IP address every 15 minutes.

We are in battle mode right now with posting disabled on clearnet and the onion (that is, the 8kun TOR link http://jthnx5wyvjvzsxtu.onion). The only way to post is to use clearnet over TOR because that is the only way that you will get the mitigation challenge. Yes, this is broken and stupid.

When posting fails with the "Unknown error" message, open https://sys.8kun.top in another tab and keep it open. The challenge should run. Whenever you get the error, go to the tab and reload. The challenge should run again. You will see it.

You might have to solve the captcha depending on what IP address is assigned to you by the TOR network. The pool of possible IP addresses is limited. You can see that some of us are sharing ID's in the bread.

Twitter locks Newt Gingrich’s account after COVID tweet

Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Newt Gingrich was locked out of his Twitter account for more than a week after he published a tweet criticizing the Biden administration’s troubled response to the crisis on the southern border.

Newt raised concern over immigrants crossing the border illegally who may be infected with COVID-19.

“If there is a covid surge in Texas the fault will not be Governor [Greg] Abbott’s common sense reforms. The greatest threat of a covid surge comes from Biden’s untested illegal immigrants pouring across the border. We have no way of knowing how many of them are bringing covid with them,” Newt tweeted on March 3.

Twitter quickly sent Newt a message explaining that his account was locked for “violating rules against hateful conduct.”

In an opinion piece published in The Washington Times, Gingrich defended his tweet saying that he was reacting to a recent story that said federal officials had no way of testing people who are picked up by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol — or forcing them to quarantine.

To unlock his account, Twitter forced Newt to delete his tweet or go through an appeals process.

In an open letter to Twitter officials, Gingrich posed the following questions:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s family is coming to his defense amid the state attorney general’s investigation into accusations of sexual harassment and bullying.

Daughters Mariah and Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo — as well as the governor’s sister Maria Cuomo Cole — all retweeted a post from actor Billy Baldwin on Sunday defending the governor’s legacy and calling on critics to wait for the state to conclude its investigation into the sex-harassment allegations engulfing his administration.

“I have known the entire Cuomo family since the 1980s. I have tremendous respect & admiration for every single one of them,” Baldwin’s tweet said.

“Don’t you think, after 40 years as a New York public servant, he deserves and has earned the right to an investigation before everybody rushes to judgment?”

Mariah, 26, and Michaela, 23, are two of Cuomo’s three daughters with Kerry Kennedy, herself the daughter of liberal icon Robert F. Kennedy.

The Post exclusively reported last year that Mariah’s twin Cara had been dating Dane Pfeiffer, a state trooper assigned to her dad’s security detail. After Gov. Cuomo learned of the relationship, Pfeiffer was transferred to a post near the Canadian border.

All three sisters were occasional guests at their dad’s Emmy award-winning COVID-19 briefings last year, often taking starring roles in the governor’s bromides.

Mariah was spotted arm-in-arm with her embattled father on Friday while he took a call outside the governor’s mansion in Albany.

Michaela, meanwhile, was a vocal advocate for survivors of sexual harassment during her time at Brown University. In 2019, she argued in a Brown Political Review essay that official sexual-assault investigations serve to defend the powers that be rather than “to decipher the truth or dole the consequences.”

The title of Michaela’s essay: “Institutional Gaslighting; Investigations to Silence the Victim and Protect the Perp.”
