TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Senate on Monday passed legislation requiring social media companies to publish standards for use and abide by them when it comes to de-platforming users.

The legislation carries heavy fines and the threat of lawsuits for would-be violators.

Specifically, big tech platforms face fines up to $100,000 a day if they de-platform a statewide candidate for public office and $10,000 a day for other political candidates.

In 2018, Matt Caldwell, the losing candidate for Florida Agriculture Commissioner was de-platformed for his pro-National Rifle Association ad, which YouTube removed for almost a day.

“They were able to take a whole segment of free press away, saying: we don’t want to hear those words. we don’t want to hear that speech and we’re going to de-platform you,” State Sen. Kelli Stargel said. “This bill fixes that.”

The Senate version of the bill allows either the state or individuals to sue tech companies. Senate Democrats and St. Petersburg Republican Jeff Brandes were among those who voted against the measure

Secretary of State Dr. Shirley N. Weber Announces Threshold Met to Trigger Recall, Signature Withdrawal Period

Individuals have 30 business days to request local elections officials to remove names from recall petition

SACRAMENTO, CA – California Secretary of State Dr. Shirley N. Weber has announced that the threshold of verified signatures reported by counties has been met for the recall of Governor Gavin Newsom. The valid signatures in the 10th report are 1,626,042, which exceeds the total of 1,495,709 signatures required. Counties still have until April 29th to verify the validity of any remaining signatures.

“This now triggers the next phase of the recall process, a 30-business-day period in which voters may submit written requests to county Registrars of Voters to remove their names from the recall petition,” Secretary Weber said. “A recall election will be held unless a sufficient number of signatures are withdrawn.”

Pursuant to Elections Code section 11108(b), any voter who has signed the recall petition may provide a written request to their county elections official to have their signature removed from the petition between today, April 26, 2021, and June 8, 2021.

There is no specific format required; however, the withdrawal must include the following:

Voter’s name

Residence address (at time of signing the recall petition)

Voter’s signature

If after this period the recall election still has a sufficient number of signatures, the Department of Finance will have 30 business days to estimate the cost of the recall election. Following that, the Joint Legislative Budget Committee will have 30 calendar days to review and comment on those estimates before the Lieutenant Governor sets the date for the recall election.

Pentagon Reveals 3-Hour Long IRGC "Swarming" Incident Of US Vessels In Gulf

US Navy officials have revealed to The Wall Street Journal that a pair of Coast Guard ships were recently "swarmed" by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fast boats in the Persian Gulf earlier this month as they conducted patrols in international waters. The report says "The incident occurred April 2, just as the U.S. and Iran announced they would conduct negotiations toward renewing the 2015 multilateral nuclear accord." It was considered by the Pentagon to be a major incident (unlike the more frequent, minor exchange of "warnings" between rival military vessels in the region) given the IRGC boats encircled and "buzzed" the US vessels for up to three hours.

A US Navy spokesperson condemned the "unsafe and unprofessional maneuvers" and underscored the Iranian side failed to back off after multiple radio warning attempts communicated. It's rare that such an incident occurred with US Coast Guard ships… naturally we wonder what United States Coast Guard ships were doing so far away from… the US coast. The US Navy apparently provided a photo of the incident in progress. The incident is recounted in further detail by the WSJ as follows: U.S. Navy officials confirmed that three fast attack crafts and one ship known as Harth 55, a 180-foot, twin-hulled support vessel, swarmed the two Coast Guard ships while they were patrolling international waters in the southern portion of the Persian Gulf. The larger vessel repeatedly crossed in front of the bows of the two U.S. vessels, the Monomoy and the Wrangell, coming as close as 70 yards away, officials said. That forced the Wrangell to have to make defensive maneuvers to avoid collision, Navy officials said. The Harth 55 is perhaps the most distinctive somewhat recent addition to Iran's Navy, considered a high-speed vessel capable of carrying a helicopter and up to 100 troops.

The timing of the public disclosure of this "new" swarming event revelation is interesting given it comes a day after leaked audio of Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif surfaced. In it he candidly admits that the IRGC often overrides government decisions, even suggesting the late IRGC Quds Force chief Gen. Qassem Soleimani tried to sabotage Iran's seeking to restore the JCPOA nuclear deal. Could the IRGC's April 2 swarming event in the Gulf (just as the Vienna talks were about to get started) have been part of an attempt of hardliners leading the military establishment to derail attempts of 'moderates' at engagement with the US?

Gateway Pundit correspondent Jordan Conradson spoke with Arizona Republican Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward Monday in Phoenix outside the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The Maricopa County forensic audit of ballots is currently taking place at the coliseum despite numerous and continuing efforts by Democrats to block the process and prevent transparency.

Pro-Donald Trump attorney Lin Wood has been confirmed to appear at an event in Dallas alongside other prominent QAnon figures and two Texas Republicans.

Wood is scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the three-day For God & Country Patriot Roundup event over Memorial Day Weekend in May, along with Trump's former campaign lawyer and fellow QAnon supporter Sidney Powell as well as former national security adviser Michael Flynn, one of the key figures in the radical movement.

Tracy “Beanz” Diaz, an early QAnon promotor, is now the state executive committee person for the Horry County, South Carolina Republican Party.

QAnon is a conspiracy theory that the planet is controlled by a satanic cult of cannibals who rape and eat children. They believe former President Donald Trump was fighting this nonexistent cabal.

Diaz started promoting QAnon mere days after the first so-called “Q drop.” She’s credited with being among a small group who propelled the conspiracy theory into the mainstream.

Before she was into QAnon, Diaz was a Republican operative. She once worked for former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.).

She’s apparently now set her sights on exerting influence in a more official capacity. Over the weekend, Diaz won a race to become one of the leaders of the Horry County GOP.

“It’s our time,” she said on Telegram, according to Shayan Sardarizadeh.

Former secretary of state Mike Pompeo and Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress are demanding a formal investigation into John Kerry following revelations he informed Iranian leaders about covert Israeli military operations.

A leaked audio recording of Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif, who worked closely with Kerry when the 2015 nuclear accord was negotiated, catches the Iranian official claiming the former Obama administration secretary of state informed him about at least 200 Israeli strikes on Iranian military positions in Syria. That Kerry shared these intimate details "to his astonishment," according to the New York Times, suggests Kerry may have been disclosing classified information. It would also represent a stunning betrayal of America’s closest Middle East ally. Israel relies on the United States to protect shared intelligence from its top regional enemy.

The revelation is already generating calls for Kerry, the special presidential envoy for climate, to resign from the Biden administration and face a congressional investigation for possibly spilling highly classified secrets to one of America’s leading enemies.

Former Trump administration secretary of state Mike Pompeo said the audio tape proves "what I’ve said for years: That [Zarif] continued to engage with former secretary of state Kerry on policy matters after Kerry’s public service and, according to Zarif, Kerry informed the Iranians of Israeli operations."

"Before we cut a deal with Iran that reduces Americans’ security," Pompeo said, "it would be good to know what the arrangement, if any, may have been between these two leaders."

"John Kerry must resign immediately," Rep. Jim Banks (R., Ind.), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, told the Washington Free Beacon. "The investigation should be retrospective."

"These reports are concerning—I’d like the opportunity to ask Secretary Kerry about this in a closed hearing," Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.), a member of the Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence and its Armed Services Committee, told the Free Beacon.

Rep. Darrel Issa (R., Calif.), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, echoed calls for an investigation and promised to hold Kerry accountable for the disclosure of sensitive military information.

"While we can’t simply accept as fact what we hear from Iran’s foreign minister (or read in the New York Times), these reports warrant full and immediate investigation," Issa said. "If John Kerry shared our nation’s intelligence with Iran and endangered Israel in any way, I promise he will be held to account."

Banks, who has been leading Republican efforts to prevent the Biden administration from unwinding tough sanctions on Iran as it negotiates a new nuclear deal, further said that any investigation into Kerry’s conversations with Iran should seek to find out if other officials from the Obama and Biden administrations revealed similar information to Tehran.
