Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Delivers Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations for Americans

DELIVERING GOLD STANDARD CHILDHOOD VACCINE RECOMMENDATIONS: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to recognize Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations that maximize parental choices over vaccinations for their children and align three categories of childhood immunizations with scientific evidence and best practices from peer, developed countries.

▶ The Order provides recommendations that give parents more information and options when making immunization decisions for their children.

• The Order recommends all children get immunizations to provide protection for 11 diseases – a decrease from the 18 diseases recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2024. Immunizations no longer recommended for all children are now recommended for shared clinical decision-making, ensuring that parents have all options available to them.

• The Order recommends separating out the combined MMR vaccine into three single-disease shots and recommends administering all vaccines during separate medical visits to give parents more options regarding the timing and frequency of this vaccine administration.

• States that enact school vaccine requirements are advised to consider the Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations and consider updating their laws to reflect the recommendations.

• All Federal agencies are advised to advance the Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations based on their relevant authorities to ensure Americans have the best scientific information.

▶ The Order maximizes parental choice over childhood vaccines by promoting State compliance with constitutional and Federal law related to parental authority, religious freedom, disability accommodations, and equal protection under the law, including States’ obligations to provide religious and medical exemptions from childhood and adolescent immunization requirement.

▶ The Order directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the HHS Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines, to present plans to the President to improve vaccine research and options for American parents, including continuous evaluation of the risk and benefit profiles of all childhood vaccines based on U.S. and international data.

ENSURING AMERICANS ARE RECEIVING THE BEST MEDICAL ADVICE IN THE WORLD: HHS’ January 2026 scientific assessment compared U.S. childhood immunization recommendations with those of peer nations, analyzed vaccine uptake and public trust, evaluated clinical and epidemiological evidence and knowledge gaps, and examined vaccine mandates.

▶ The scientific assessment found that the United States currently recommends more childhood vaccines than any peer nation, including more than twice as many vaccine doses as some European nations, and identified a set of consensus vaccines that are consistently recommended in all peer countries.

• In 1980, American children following the CDC immunization schedule received 23 vaccine doses in 7 shots against 7 different diseases. In 2024, the recommended number of routine vaccines had risen to at least 84 vaccine doses in at least 57 shots for 17 diseases, plus the RSV monoclonal antibody immunization for a total of 18 diseases. This is more than other developed nations.

• The scientific assessment recommends prioritizing 11 routine childhood vaccines, while preserving flexibility for parents and doctors to make individualized decisions for higher-risk children through shared clinical decision-making.

• The scientific assessment also found that, instead of implementing vaccination mandates, most peer nations maintain high childhood vaccination rates through public trust and education.

• The U.S. is among a minority of peer nations with childhood vaccine mandates (enacted by individual U.S. states) for school entry.

Israeli general says Gaza should remain ‘destroyed for generations’

Giora Eiland says Palestinian despair serves Israel and demands permanent control beyond the Yellow Line

A former head of Israel’s National Security Council has called for Gaza to remain devastated for decades, openly presenting Palestinian despair and destruction as desirable outcomes after Israel’s genocide in the enclave.

Retired Major General Giora Eiland told Israel’s 103FM radio station on Sunday that rebuilding Gaza would run against Israeli interests.

“Israel has no interest in Gaza being rebuilt, it is better for us that it be destroyed for generations to come,” Eiland said.

“The greater the despair in Gaza and the greater the destruction, and the greater the monument to what they did on October 7, years to come, that is good" he added.

Eiland, a secular Israeli nationalist aligned with opposition politician Avigdor Lieberman, opposes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu politically.

Yet his prescriptions for Gaza have frequently gone beyond Netanyahu’s publicly declared policies.

Calls for Israel to occupy Gaza land

Eiland described the 15-point Gaza plan backed by US President Donald Trump as “pro-Hamas”. Netanyahu formally rejected the proposal on Sunday.

“In war...the losing side loses. Germany, which lost the Second World War, was forced to surrender 25 percent of its territory,” he noted.

Eiland used the comparison to argue that Israel should retain the Yellow Line, which marks the territory its military occupies inside Gaza which Israel has continued to expand and may ultimately amount to 70 percent of Gaza's territory.

“Along with this, there is the territorial need for the Yellow Line, which we must not give up under any circumstances. This is a war, the enemy has lost, and we need land, not for settlement, but as a security buffer between the settlements and where the IDF can be located."

Eiland nevertheless criticised Netanyahu’s handling of Washington, arguing that Israel had become too dependent on his relationship with Trump.

For some insufferable reason, the Washington Post (CIA) is publishing a story about President Trump’s security protocols following the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey last month.

As the story is told, President Trump went into the legacy Airforce One, however,he quietly exited the plane via a catering truckset up on the opposite side of the plane and then he boarded an Air Force C-32 support plane for the flight out of Turkey destined to Britain’s Mildenhall air base.

At the time of the travel there was a credible threat from Iran toward the President. Apparently, extra precautions were taken,and the Washington Post (CIA) needs to tell people about them.

A Trump-linked oil company has shown up on the Danish territory without an invitation

An American oil company backed by powerful associates of US President DonaldTrump has shipped drilling equipment to Greenland without permission from the Danish territory’s government. Is Trump trying to annex Greenland one bite at a time?

Less than two weeks ago, a Danish tugboat towed a cargo ship into port at Nerlerit Inaat, 450 kilometers above the Arctic circle on Greenland’s east coast.The cargo ship, operated by a company called Permagreen, unloaded an excavator and 15 containers of equipment, before leaving the following day, according to Danwatch, a Danish investigative journalism outlet.

A Permagreen spokesperson told Danwatch thatthe company was hired by the Texas-based Greenland Energy Company to deliver “some machinery and equipment that will support their oil exploration” in the region of Jameson Land.

The Greenland Energy Company had no permission to deliver the equipment, Greenland’s Energy Ministry said in a press release, adding thatthe company has still not been granted the necessary permits to drill in Jameson Land, a wetland area protected by the international Ramsar Convention.

Is the Greenland Energy Company allowed to drill?

Despite the lack of approval by Greenland itself,the Greenland Energy Company is treating drilling as a foregone conclusion. The company posted a series of updates on social mediaas Permagreen’s tugboat left Denmark and docked at Greenland’s capital city, Nuuk. On LinkedIn, oilfield machinery company Stampede Drilling posted a picture of a drilling rig bearing Greenland Energy’s logo, declaring that it was “Greenland bound.”

The company has claimed that another ship carrying 300 containers of drilling equipment is ready to set sail from Canadato Greenland on September 12. Exploratory drilling will begin in October, a spokesperson told The Guardian.

However, Greenland stopped issuing new oil drilling licenses in 2021. No significant deposits had been found in the preceding 50 years, and the government in Nuuk concluded that the environmental impact was not worth the meager returns. A handful of licenses remain active, including one covering Jameson Land, held by a UK-based company called 80 Mile. Greenland Energy has said that it will fund exploration on 80 Mile’s land, in exchange for 70% of revenue generated by the project.

Despite operating under 80 Mile’s license, Greenland Energy must still obtain the necessary permits. “The project is still in the exploration phase,” Greenland’s energy ministry stated in a press release in early August. Even if the permits are granted with no delays, no drilling will take place this year, a ministry spokesperson told Danwatch.

On August 8,Greenland Energy described “recent high-level meetings with Greenlandic authorities” as “constructive.”

How much oil is under Jameson Land?

Greenland Energy believes that $1 trillion worth of crude oil may lie beneath the Jameson Land Basin. The company plans to spend $60 million on an exploratory well, with the project to be expanded “once the results of the first have been analysed.”

“I believe it’s there,” Greenland Energy CEO Robert Price told residents of a Jameson Land village in June. “The scientists believe that it’s there. But until we drill these wells, we don’t know.”

Is the project connected to Trump’s Greenland annexation plans?

Greenland Energy was incorporated on September 5, 2025, a week after it emerged that Trump had sent three associates to Greenland to meet with local secessionists, who want to break away from Denmark. The Danish Foreign Ministry summoned the US charge d’affaires in Copenhagen to explain what Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called “unacceptable”interference in Danish affairs.

Trump has repeatedly threatened to annex Greenland throughout his second term in office, claiming that the US needs the landmass “for the purpose of national security” – namely to host elements of his promised ‘Golden Dome’ ballistic missile defense network. Trump has also said directly that he wants “Greenland for its rare-earth minerals.”

While Trump has not publicly expressed interest in Greenland’s potential oil wealth, the Greenland Energy project is backed by multiple close associates of the US president, including his special envoy to Greenland, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry.

Landry made an uninvited visit to Nuuk in May, declaring upon arrival that it was “time for the US to put its footprint back on Greenland.” Oil exploration is a key part of this footprint, he told Fox News after the trip. “We need a deal,” he said. “Greenland needs a deal. We could be – Greenland could be – exporting two million barrels of oil a day right now.”

“We could have those barrels on production within 10 months or so,” Landry added.

Carol Craig, a US Navy veteran, joined Greenland Energy’s board in April. Craig is the founder and CEO of Sidus Space, a defense contractor that won part of a $151 billion contract to build the ‘Golden Dome’ last December. Craig’s “background in aerospace, defense, and engineering will be invaluable as we advance our exploration program in Greenland’s Jameson Land Basin,” Greenland Energy said when it announced her appointment to the board.

Wrapping up the list of Trump associates tied in to the project is Phil McGraw, better known as TV host Dr. Phil. McGraw campaigned with Trump in 2024, leads the president’s religious liberty commission, and was hired by Greenland Energy in June to produce a documentary series following its drillers into the Jameson Land Basin.

“That’s an oilman who drills when nobody else has the guts to do it,” McGraw said in an interview with Price. “This is exploration under the Northern Lights, how exciting can it get!

Nobody involved with the project has publicly discussed the annexation of Greenland, but drilling and territorial acquisition are seemingly connected in Trump’s mind: On August 1, two days after the first equipment was dropped off at Nerlerit Inaat, the president posted an image of himself looming over Greenland on his Truth Social platform, along with the caption “Hello, Greenland!”

How has Denmark responded?

The Danish government has not commented on the arrival of drilling equipment to Greenland, nor has Copenhagen commented on the validity of the Greenland Energy/80 Mile drilling license. After Trump once again declared last month that Greenland “should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark,” Frederiksen reiterated that “it is for Denmark and Greenland, and them only, to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland.”

Frederiksen has given the same response when Trump attempted to purchase Greenland from Denmark, and when he warned that seizing the territory by military force “is always an option.”

With neither approach swaying officials in Copenhagen and Nuuk, the president may now be attempting to expand the US foothold in Greenland in order to present occupation as a fait accompli. If such a plan exists, it all hinges on Greenland Energy discovering oil where five decades of exploration failed.

Ukraine must compensate Iran for a deadly attack on one of its cargo vessels in the Caspian Sea, as Kiev has failed to convince Tehran that the strike was unintentional, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has said.

The ship was hit in a Ukrainian strike last month, killing one sailor.Tehran condemned the attack as “reckless.” Kiev initially defended its actions, saying Iran has “no standing to pretend to be a victim,”but later described the attack as a mistake and said it did not seek an escalation with Tehran.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said on Monday that Tehran heard Kiev’s account of the strike but did not consider the matter resolved.

“We heard what they had to say, but given the admission by senior Ukrainian officials that such an attack took place,they must certainly compensate us,” Baghaei said at a press briefing. He added that if Kiev does not provide compensation, Tehran will pursue the matter itself.

Following the attack, Zelensky praised the “very strong results” of strikes on vessels he claimed were involved in transporting military cargo. He said Ukraine does not want to open a “new front” with Iran, but accused it of attacking his country by supplying Russia with Shahed drones and related technology.

Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel also claimed that the vessel, Anna, was carrying components for drones and missiles. Tehran said the ship and its cargo were entirely civilian.

Iran stated in 2022 that it delivered a “small number” of Shahed-136 kamikaze drones to Russia, but said the deliveries took place months before the escalation of the Ukraine conflict. Moscow has maintained that its Geran-2 drones, which are believed to be based on the Iranian design, are produced domestically.

Kiev has actively sought to become involved in the Middle East conflict triggered by the US-Israeli attack against Iran earlier this year.The Ukrainian leadership claimed that it secured agreements with Gulf states to provide specialists and technology to counter Iranian drones, and said it hopes to obtain additional air defense systems and munitions in return.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday took steps to increase oversight of food additives as part of the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.

President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have worked to enact some priorities of the MAHA movement that supported Kennedy’s 2024 presidential bid and later helped elect Trump, like curbing recommendations for some childhood vaccines.

The FDA on Monday issued a proposed rule that would require food manufacturers to notify the agency when they deem a food additive to be “Generally Recognized as Safe,” or GRAS, according to HHS.

Since 1958, food companies have been permitted to self-affirm that food ingredients are safe without a full government review. Some common GRAS ingredients include canola oil, black pepper and vinegar, according to an FDA webpage.

The FDA strongly encourages companies to notify the agency of new GRAS ingredients, but they aren’t required to.

As a result, “we don’t even know exactly how many chemicals are in the food that Americans eat every day,” said Kennedy at an event in Washington on Monday.

The proposed rule would make that notification mandatory and expand a public inventory of those notices, the agency said.

The rule is being undertaken to “increase transparency and consumer confidence in the food supply,” acting FDA Commissioner Kyle Diamantas said in a call with reporters.

DENVER (KDVR) — The son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was arrested in Colorado on Sunday on charges of sexual exploitation of a child, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office on Monday announced deputies arrested Tyler Boebert, 21, of New Castle, on an arrest warrant for multiple charges. He faces three charges of sexual exploitation of a child, one for enticing or inducing, one for intent and one for videos. He also faces two charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to online court records, the charges stem from an incident that started on Jan. 1, 2024. His bond was set at $10,000, and he bonded out of the Garfield County Jail on Sunday. The sheriff’s office did not release any details about what happened.

Lauren Boebert, who represents Colorado’s 4th congressional district on the Eastern Plains, released a statement after the announcement of her son’s arrest. “I love my son,” Lauren Boebert said. “We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time.”

On May 16, 2017, the FBI took one of the most extraordinary steps in its history: It opened a full investigation of the sitting American president.

Newly declassified documents released by the White House say the bureau asked whether the president “is or was directed by, controlled by, and/or coordinated activities with” Vladimir Putin’s Russia — and whether he “obstructed and/or conspired to obstruct” the FBI’s own investigation.

That the FBI had targeted President Trump was reported in 2019. What was missing was the paperwork — the opening document, the names on it, the chain of command.

The May 16 “opening communication” lists FBI General Counsel James Baker and Counterintelligence Division Assistant Director E.W. “Bill” Priestap as the approving officials.

The investigation was opened at Priestap’s direction, in consultation with Baker’s Office of General Counsel; and Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe personally notified Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The next day — May 17 — Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller special counsel, and the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax took flight.

James Comey figures in the hoax, too. He went from fired FBI director to a central witness.

The FBI used Comey’s account of his talks with Trump — and Trump’s firing of Comey — to support the obstruction theory.

Another critical layer has now been exposed. The FBI says its predicate for the probe rested on “predetermined criteria established by the Crossfire Hurricane investigative team” based on an assessment of supposedly “reliable lead information.”

Who built that predicate?

Peter Strzok, a central figure in Crossfire Hurricane, and FBI lawyer Lisa Page were close to the investigation.

When Page asked whether Trump would become president, Strzok replied: “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it.”

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz later said that message was not merely indicative of a biased state of mind but implied a willingness to take official action to affect a candidate’s electoral prospects.

Yet the actual drafter of the opening communication remains redacted. That name should be released.

So should the names of everyone who formulated, reviewed or supplied the “reliable lead information” used to put a sitting president under investigation — along with the communications among Priestap, Baker, McCabe and the investigative team, McCabe’s record of what he told Rosenstein, what Rosenstein knew before he appointed Mueller and what Mueller did, if anything, to independently validate the extraordinary allegation he was tasked to investigate.

A bombshell new CIA review of the Obama administration’s spy agencies’ assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Donald Trump was deliberately corrupted by then-CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who were “excessively involved” in its drafting, and rushed its completion in a “chaotic,” “atypical” and “markedly unconventional” process that raised questions of a “potential political motive.”

Further, Brennan’s decision to include the discredited Steele dossier, over the objections of the CIA’s most senior Russia experts, “undermined the credibility” of the assessment.

The “Tradecraft Review of the 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment [ICA] on Russian Election Interference” was conducted by career professionals at the CIA’s Directorate of Analysis and was commissioned by CIA Director John Ratcliffe in May.

The “lessons-learned review” found that, on December 6, 2016, six weeks before his presidency ended, Barack Obama ordered the assessment, which concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin “aspired” to help Trump win the election.

The review identified “multiple procedural anomalies” that undermined the credibility of the ICA, including “a highly compressed production timeline, stringent compartmentation, and excessive involvement of agency heads.”

It also questioned the exclusion of key intelligence agencies and said media leaks may have influenced analysts to conform to a false narrative of Trump-Russia collusion.

“The rushed timeline to publish both classified and unclassified versions before the presidential transition raised questions about a potential political motive behind the White House tasking and timeline.”

The review found that Brennan directed the compilation of the ICA, and that his, Comey’s and Clapper’s “direct engagement in the ICA’s development was highly unusual in both scope and intensity” and ”risked stifling analytic debate.”

Brennan handpicked the CIA analysts to compile the ICA and involved only the ODNI, CIA, FBI and NSA, excluding 13 of the then-17 intelligence agencies.

He sidelined the National Intelligence Council and forced the inclusion of the discredited Steele dossier despite objections of the authors and senior CIA Russia experts, so as to push a false narrative that Russia secured Trump’s 2016 victory.

“This was Obama, Comey, Clapper and Brennan deciding ‘We’re going to screw Trump,’” said Ratcliffe in an exclusive interview.

“It was, ‘We’re going to create this and put the imprimatur of an IC assessment in a way that nobody can question it.’ They stamped it as Russian collusion and then classified it so nobody could see it.

“This led to Mueller [special counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry, which concluded after two years that there was no Trump-Russia collusion]. It put the seal of approval of the intelligence community that Russia was helping Trump and that the Steele dossier was the scandal of our lifetime. It ate up the first two years of his [Trump’s first] presidency.

“You see how Brennan and Clapper and Comey manipulated [and] silenced all the career professionals and railroaded the process.”

The CIA review notes that, before work even began on the ICA, “media leaks suggesting that the Intelligence Community had already reached definitive conclusions risked creating an anchoring.” The term “anchoring” refers to a cognitive bias in psychology and suggests that the media leaks may have influenced the analysts working on the ICA to shape their findings to conform with the leaked narrative rather than conducting an objective analysis.

On December 9, 2016, both the Washington Post and New York Times reported the IC had “concluded with high confidence that Russia had intervened specifically to help Trump win the election.”

The Post cited an unnamed US official describing this as the IC’s “consensus view.”

The “highly compressed timeline was atypical for a formal IC assessment which ordinarily can take months to prepare, especially for assessments of such length, complexity, and political sensitivity,” the review found. “CIA’s primary authors had less than a week to draft the assessment and less than two days to formally coordinate it with IC peers before it entered the formal review process at CIA on December 20.”

Hyperscalers have committed a record $2.6 trillion in future spending across data center leases and equipment purchases.

Newly disclosed text messages show Dr. Anthony Fauci privately entertained the possibility that the COVID-19 vaccine could trigger first-trimester miscarriages, months before he told the public there was no risk.

The messages come from a trove that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) released, containing more than 34,000 texts and 522 voicemails the Senate Homeland Security Committee pulled from Fauci's government-issued phone. Among the trove is a January 2021 text chain between Fauci, Dr. Vivek Murthy and Dr. Rochelle Walensky, who went on to serve as the Biden administration's surgeon general and CDC director, in which the three officials worked through how the vaccine's risks might interact with pregnancy.

On Jan. 25, Murthy opened the thread with a question. "For pregnant women considering getting the vaccine, are you aware of any data or theoretical reason why vaccinating early vs late in pregnancy would be preferred? And any sense of when there will be more robust data on vaccine risk in pregnant women?"

Walensky noted that more than 15,000 pregnant women had already enrolled in the CDC's V-safe vaccine safety monitoring system. Fauci wrote there "are no data or theoretical reason to believe that vaccinating early versus later in pregnancy would be preferred." He also flagged a caveat that would later look prescient. "Yet, some people (even female health care professionals) feel concerned about injecting a 'genetic' vaccine very early in pregnancy," he wrote.

Nearly two hours passed before Fauci circled back with something he had not mentioned the first time. "I asked around a bit more and another issue came up that you need to be aware of," he wrote. "Since many people have significant cytokines storm and fever after the 2nd dose, this theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester."

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) went on FOX Business on Monday morning to discuss the popular SAVE America Act that secures US elections.

The SAVE Act includes language on voter ID, which enjoys widespread support from the American public.95% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats are in favor of requiring a photo ID to vote in US elections. It’s common sense.

However, Democrat politicians don’t want photo ID, knowing it will take away from the fraudulent voter pool.

Neither does Majority Leader John Thune for some reason. It’s not clear who he represents at this point but it is certainly NOT the people of South Dakota.

Rep. Fine told FOX Business that there are two ways to get the SAVE America Act passed through the US Senate.

Rep. Randy Fine: I’ll give you two options. Number one, we put Save America in the reconciliation bill that we sent to the Senate. That would only take 50 votes. So there’s one way to get it done. And here’s another way.

We attached the Save America Act to something even more popular, the idea that members of Congress can’t insider trade. And when we did that, we not only got every Republican vote, we got a dozen Democratic votes in the House. It was the first time we’ve ever seen a Democrat vote for Save America.

So maybe that’s what they try in the Senate. Do ‘You Can’t Insider Trade plus Save America.’

There’s two paths to get the job done. The point is they just need to pick one and do whatever it takes to get it done. Okay.

It’s not that hard, Senator Thune.

Call back the senators, pass the SAVE Act, and secure our elections!

The stars will align on Wednesday.

Stargazers should prepare for a series of space spectacles on August 12, as a solar eclipse, meteor shower, and a planetary parade are all gracing the skies on the same night.

“It’s a very exciting opportunity for amateur astronomy observers, or really anyone who can get a shot at the clear sky,” Darryl Seligman, an astronomy professor at Michigan State University, told the Post.

Kicking off this cosmic decathlon is the planetary alignment, in which Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune will appear in the sky simultaneously, Fox News reported.

Skywatchers can catch the celestial sextet by looking toward the Eastern horizon around 30 minutes to an hour before sunrise.

Saturn and Mars will be easiest to spot, followed by Mars and Mercury, although the latter two will sit low on the horizon and therefore clear, unobstructed view to catch them before they get lost in the sun’s glare.

Meanwhile, viewing Uranus will require binoculars, while a telescope will likely be necessary to see Neptune, according to Seligman.

Stargazers don’t need to wait until August 12 to see the show. “The arrangement won’t change much in the next few days,” Qicheng Zhang, of the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, told the Post.

“So you should be able to basically see it now, with the further addition of a crescent moon that won’t be there by/after the 12th.”

Despite their peculiar formation, the planets aren’t actually aligned.

The event is an optical illusion that occurs when the cosmic bodies appear in the sky simultaneously, even though they’re really millions to billions of miles apart and orbiting the Sun’s ecliptic plane at different speeds and distances.

With the 25th anniversary of September 11 fast approaching, major U.S. airlines and union bosses are actively obstructing federal law enforcement efforts to apprehend foreign nationals who have overstayed their legal visas—the exact structural vulnerability exploited by the 9/11 hijackers to murder nearly 3,000 Americans.

In a series of tense airport standoffs, gate agents and corporate executives at major carriers like Southwest Airlines have repeatedly blocked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers from accessing jet bridges, shielded passenger manifests, and demanded administrative hurdles to prevent federal agents from taking illegal visa overstayers into custody, according to recent reports by national news outlets.

While corporate elites and open-border advocates frame their resistance as a defense of “passenger safety” and terminal protocol, federal authorities cooperating with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are making clear that American commercial aviation will no longer serve as an unmonitored safe haven for foreign lawbreakers defying final orders of removal and federal immigration law....

The 9/11 Commission reported that as many as five of the 19 terrorist hijackers were visa overstays.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that 400 non-U.S. citizens were apprehended while illegally crossing the border between ports of entry were listed on the terrorist watch list during the four years of the Biden border crisis. This does not include illegal alien “gotaways” who successfully entered without apprehension.

In addition, nearly 1.7 million “Special Interest Aliens” were admitted to the U.S. by the Biden administration during this period, or were “gotaways” who entered without being apprehended, according to a report by the House Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees. Special Interest Aliens are people who came to the U.S. from countries with known ties to terrorism.

JetBlue and Southwest Airlines began pushing back in recent weeks to the increased enforcement activity by ICE officers who are making arrests at the gate, or even on aircraft, the WSJ reported.

Airlines for America, a trade group that represents the major airlines, met with DHS officials in July. A spokesperson told the WSJ, “Airlines have had constructive discussions with ICE and TSA to ensure if law-enforcement activity occurs at an airport, there are proper procedures and protocols in place to prioritize the safety and security of all involved.”

When NASA’s Artemis II mission circled the moon in April, it carried scientific data that could lead to medical advances back home.

By comparing changes to tissue samples flown on missions to matching samples stored on Earth, scientists can pinpoint how space travel changes human biology, says Dr. Arun Sharma, director of the Cedars-Sinai Center for Space Medicine Research.

“We know that astronauts’ bones and muscles” atrophy in space, he says, adding that improved understanding of those changes can speed the development of new drugs to better protect astronauts on longer missions.

“Those same drugs could be applied [on Earth] to diseases of bone or muscle degradation, like osteoporosis or sarcopenia,” says Sharma, whose lab produces “organ chip” devices that contain human cells and are flown on NASA missions.

The research, expected to inform development of new drugs, continues NASA’s long-standing tradition of converting space-travel innovations into technologies used on Earth.

From the moon to your living room

Since NASA’s founding in 1958, agency scientists and engineers have worked with the private sector to develop technologies that advance the space age while improving life on Earth.

Daniel Lockney, who leads NASA’s Technology Transfer Program, says thousands of NASA innovations have been applied to fields from medicine and manufacturing to transportation and consumer goods.

These innovations date to NASA’s Apollo program that landed astronauts on the moon from 1969 to 1972. In partnership with Black & Decker, NASA developed lightweight, portable tools, including drills and a vacuum, to collect samples on the moon.

The need to collect moon rocks and dust led to the development of cordless power tools, including the Dustbuster handheld vacuum introduced in 1979.

Untangling communications

Astronauts navigating through space shouldn’t have to worry about floating wires getting tangled in low gravity. NASA’s push to improve its space communications led to the development of the first wireless headsets, precursors to many modern Bluetooth devices.

The agency’s plans to send astronauts on longer missions have even helped make the food we eat more nutritious . Astronauts “needed lightweight, sustainable food you could grow that was nutrient dense,” Lockney says.

That led to NASA’s experiments with algae, rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. “We found a way to isolate and synthesize” those essential nutrients, Lockney says, adding that the innovation went “global almost overnight.” Now everything from milk and cereal to peanut butter and baby formula is fortified with the nutritious ingredients.

Stable rockets, safer skyscrapers

In preparation for Artemis missions, NASA discovered the Space Launch System rocket was vibrating on the launch pad, which could endanger astronauts.

So NASA devised stabilization technology that prevents rocket fuel from sloshing around and causing vibrations, Lockney says.

Architects and builders have now adapted the technology to stabilize skyscrapers, protecting people in the world’s tallest buildings from earthquakes and high winds.

“As we develop the technologies needed for a sustained presence on the Moon and prepare for human exploration of Mars,” NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman says, “those innovations will continue to unlock new capabilities across medicine, aviation, agriculture, and other critical sectors, delivering lasting benefits to Earth.”

“Minnesota is DOJ’s next stop on its nationwide effort to ensure free and fair elections,” Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said in a statement. “The DOJ is committed to nondiscriminatory monitoring throughout the primary and general election seasons.”

The effort comes as the Trump administration works with states to clean up voter rolls and has attempted to crack down on voter fraud across the nation.

Sibur’s “Zapsibnaftochem” plant in Tobolsk, Tyumen Oblast, completely halted production on August 10 following a drone strike.

The facility is the largest petrochemical complex in the Russian Federation, producing 2.5 million metric tons of polymers annually and accounting for 40% of Russia’s total output of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LHG).

The plant’s operations have been suspended indefinitely to assess the extent of the damage and address the consequences.

As of August 11, the company has suspended sales of propane-butane on the St. Petersburg Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, where it previously sold 4,000 metric tons daily.

Syria says IAEA will announce 'significant progress' on nuclear file

A Syrian official told Reuters that Syria was consulting with the IAEA to fulfill its own obligations and that "there is no Israeli role in this process."

Syria will host a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the coming days to announce "significant progress" on the issue of nuclear materials, Syria's Atomic Energy Commission said early on Tuesday, without providing further details.

Since the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad in late 2024, Syria's new authorities have committed to working with the United Nations' nuclear watchdog to address the legacy of nuclear activities during decades of Assad family rule.

Syria is not known to hold operational stockpiles of nuclear material for a weapons program, but Israel bombed a suspected Syrian nuclear reactor in 2007 in the country's eastern province of Deir al-Zor.

The IAEA said last year that it had found traces of uranium in its investigation into that site. The traces were found at one of three unnamed locations "that were allegedly functionally related" to the site of interest in Deir al-Zor.

Finland will not hand over more of its air defense missiles to Ukraine, Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen has said, insisting that Helsinki cannot risk its combat readiness amid tensions with Russia.

Speaking to Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat on Saturday, Hakkanensuggested that the upcoming winter will be difficult both for NATO and Ukraine, predicting that Moscow will once again target Ukrainian energy infrastructure with new missile and drone strikes.

Ukraine has already intensified pleas for more air defense missiles, particularly US-made Patriot interceptors, as Russia continues its strikes on military-related facilities and logistics.

Earlier this month, Vladimir Zelensky admitted thatUkraine is struggling to down Russian ballistic missiles“simply because there are no interceptors for the Patriot system=.”

Hakkanen stressed thatthe burden of Ukraine’s Patriot shortage lies chiefly with US production capacityand the stockpile decisions of European states that own Patriots, and not with Finland, which does not have the American-made system.

The minister said that while Finland has “a certain level of capability in certain anti-aircraft missiles,”he “will not disclose any further details about the mechanisms by which we support Ukraine.”

“We have done everything we can to our advantage, but as a frontline country we cannot jeopardize our continued readiness in terms of air defense,” he said.

Hakkanen also argued that “the biggest factor that would help Ukraine at the moment would also be some kind of solution and end to the Iran war,” which has been burning the US stockpile of various missiles.

Finland has previously adopted numerous aid packages for Ukraine, including air defense assets,, though it withheld the specifics, citing operational security.

While Ukraine has struggled with Patriot stockpiles, the Financial Times reported last week thatUS President Donald Trump rejected Zelensky’s request for hundreds more Patriot interceptors, citing depleted US stocks needed for the Middle East. Despite an initial pledge to grant Ukraine a Patriot production license, he soon walked back the promise, citing the sensitivity of the move.

Several NATO members that own Patriots, includingRomania, the Netherlands, and Poland, have also signaled that their capacity to help Kiev is exhausted.

Moscow has consistently denounced weapons deliveries to Ukraine, warning they only prolong the conflict without changing its outcome. It has also cast such shipments as “direct participation” in the hostilities.

🚨 Judge Indira Talwani has issued a new injunction blocking USPS from implementing President Trump's executive order on mail-ballot rules for the 2026 midterms. The Supreme Court is currently weighing two requests to lift her earlier injunction against the same executive order.

Talwani previously blocked key parts of the order in a case brought by 23 states and D.C., but that injunction protects only those jurisdictions. The First Circuit declined to stay it, and two requests to lift it are now pending at the Supreme Court.

Separately, voting-rights groups, including the League of Women Voters, sought their own injunction against the USPS provisions. Talwani initially denied that request because another court had already imposed a nationwide injunction.

After the D.C. Circuit stayed that other nationwide injunction, the groups renewed their request. Talwani has now granted it, blocking USPS from implementing the order's mail-ballot rules for the November 2026 election.

This new injunction is significant because it is independent of the order currently before the Supreme Court. Even if the justices lift Talwani's earlier injunction, this order would separately block USPS from implementing the mail-ballot provisions for the midterms.

Talwani also rejected the administration's argument that the challenge must await a final USPS rule. She says the proposed rule, steps toward finalization and the fast-approaching election make the dispute ripe now.

On the merits, Talwani again concluded the USPS provisions are likely unconstitutional. She wrote that the executive branch "has no authority to regulate elections," reasoning that the Elections Clause gives that authority to states and Congress.

Foreign policy investigator Adam Kredo of The Washington Free Beacon revealed on Monday that California regulators ordered Arc of Justice, a nonprofit operated by left-wing Code Pink cofounder Medea Benjamin, to cease charitable operations after years of missing tax filings and unanswered questions about what happened to $51 million in reported assets.

The state attorney general revoked the foundation's charitable registration in January 2025, barring it from distributing assets without prior approval. A June 19 warning letter went further, directing Arc of Justice to stop soliciting, holding or spending charitable funds in California and warning that board members could face personal liability for unauthorized distributions.

Kredo cited an investigation by the watchdog group Intelligent Advocacy Network (IAN) that said since California first revoked the foundation's charitable registration 18 months ago and ordered it to provide a full accounting of $51,445,599 in outstanding assets it held as of 2023, "no public document establishes what has happened to the money, where it is held, or whether any of it has moved."

The California Franchise Tax Board subsequently confirmed that the foundation was no longer in good standing or certified as tax-exempt. At the same time, the Secretary of State listed the organization as suspended.

"The silence from Arc of Justice raises unanswered questions about a foundation that has long served as the financial backbone for a network of radical advocacy groups tied to Benjamin and her Code Pink cofounder, Jodie Evans," Kredo wrote in the report.

When Bloomberg first caught Phia - the AI "personal shopping assistant" co-founded by Bill Gates' daughter Phoebe Gates and climate-activist-turned-founder Sophia Kianni - claiming affiliate commissions on sales it had nothing to do with, the company's ham-fisted damage control was a Silicon Valley classic: an unfortunate software bug, discovered "within the last 24 hours" - and of course it was 'fixed immediately.'

Except that's total bullshit.

According to a follow-up investigation published Tuesday, they knew about it for at least seven months - and Gates along with other execs were actively pushing for its use, according to internal Slack messages and people familiar with the matter.

According to the report, an internal dashboard screenshot shows the automatic cookie-dropping behavior was a named feature flag that could be toggled remotely - independent researcher Ben Edelman identified it in Phia's own code as enable_coupon_auto_drop. It was reportedly switched on December 10 and switched off July 7 - which happens to be the day Bloomberg first reached out for comment. Two people familiar with the matter confirmed the toggle meant the feature was live. So after seven months, the "bug" was magically cured the moment a reporter shot off an email.

The Bug = The Business

A Phia data scientist estimated in a July 7 Slack message that cookie stuffing accounted for roughly 51% of the gross merchandise value the company claimed credit for in June, per Bloomberg. An internal revenue chart reportedly tells the same story: when the features went dark in early July, average daily revenue collapsed from about $80,000 to somewhere between $10,000 and $28,000.

The company disputes the math - a spokesperson called the 51% figure a preliminary analysis built on flawed methodology, and says the revenue cliff also reflects Phia voluntarily shutting down most of its monetization at the same time. Except - when switching off the "bug" vaporizes the majority of your revenue, that's the business.

The receipts

For readers unfamiliar with the affiliate marketing underworld: publishers earn commissions by dropping a tracking cookie when a shopper intentionally interacts with them - clicking a referral link, applying a coupon. Dropping cookies without user interaction is called cookie stuffing, it's prohibited by essentially every affiliate network contract, and it works by hijacking credit (and commission) from whoever actually drove the sale.

Virginia Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanbergerwas greeted by a chorus of boos at the Virginia Old Fiddlers' Convention over the weekend, as the governor faces sagging poll numbers and lingering political fallout from Democrats' failed push to redraw the commonwealth's congressional map.

Spanberger was met with boos after she was introduced and stepped to the microphone at the longtime Galax gathering,where musicians and spectators were marking the convention's 90th year.

Video from the event showed a chilly reception from portions of the crowd as theDemocratic governor took the stage for about half of a minute.

Spanberger later highlighted her visit in a social media video but made no mention of the boos.

"I'm in Galax. We just went to the Old Fiddlers' Convention and I joined community members at the Poor Man's Dinner," Spanberger said. "It was an incredible time. There was great food, great music, and great community."

Spanberger's political standing has slipped just months into her first year in office. A July Virginia Commonwealth University poll found 44% of registered voters approved of her job performance while 47% disapproved, an unusually weak showing for a new Virginia governor, according to the university's pollsters.

Spanberger has also emerged from abruising battle over mid-decade redistricting. The governor backed a Democratic effort that could have dramatically reshaped Virginia's congressional delegation.Voters narrowly approved the proposal in April on the back of a reported $70 million ballot campaign, but the Supreme Court of Virginia later struck down the effort in a 4-3 ruling, findinglawmakers had failed to follow required constitutional procedures. The existing congressional map remained in place.

For Spanberger, a former congresswoman who campaigned for governor as a pragmatic moderate focused heavily on affordability, the Galaxappearance offered Republicans another opening to argue that her early months in Richmond have alienated some of the voters she pledged to represent.

Republican Del. Tom Garrett, who represents Virginia’s 56th District,said the chilly reception was warranted and pointed back to the wasteful redistricting fight.

"She campaigned, and she was asked about doing a mid-decade redistrict to grab power and take voices away from people outside of Northern Virginia," Garrett told WSET. "She said she wouldn't do it and then she led the charge."

Republican Del. Wren Williams, whose district includes Galax, also praised the crowd for making its displeasure known.
