The Israel Defense Forces admitted it was behind a Tuesday strike that damaged a synagogue in Tehran, saying it was targeting a senior Iranian commander and that it regretted the “collateral damage” to the Jewish house of worship nearby.

According to Iranian media, heavy damage was caused to the Rafi Niya synagogue.

In response to a query by The Times of Israel, the IDF said that it struck a top commander from Khatam al-Anbiya, Iran’s military emergency command.

“Reports were received that a nearby synagogue was also damaged in the strike. The IDF regrets the collateral damage to the synagogue and emphasizes that the strike was directed at a senior military target within the regime’s armed forces,” the IDF said.

International baby trafficking syndicate charged in Indonesia

Indonesian police have charged 19 people over an international baby trafficking syndicate which allegedly sold babies, some as young as three months, to people in Singapore and across Indonesia.

A man and 18 women were charged with human trafficking during an appearance at the Bandung district court in West Java province on Tuesday.

They are accused of buying babies from new parents in Indonesia and selling them at a profit.

Police allege the syndicate started operating in 2023 and had sent at least 14 babies to Singapore.

According to authorities, other young children had been sold domestically, including to adoptive parents in Jakarta.

Police managed to rescue several infants held by the syndicate before they were sold.

The defendants, including accused ringleader Lie Siu Luan, were arrested last year after a parent reported an alleged baby kidnapping to police in West Java.

Police claim the person who reported the kidnapping had actually entered into an agreement with the syndicate but never got paid.

Investigators tracked down a suspect who allegedly confessed to having traded more than 24 infants, some as young as three months old.

The defendants allegedly played various roles, including finding the babies, caring for them and preparing identity documents and passports.

One of the women later told prosecutors she had procured 34 children for the group.

Under Indonesian law, they could face up to 15 years in prison if they are found guilty of the crime.

The babies were bought from people who did not want or could not afford to keep their babies.

Abortion is illegal in the Muslim-majority archipelago except in cases of rape or medical necessity.

Aliens have visited our planet traveling in an otherworldly craft and have made contact with humans, US Congressman Tim Burchett has claimed, citing unnamed government officials.

In the US, interest in UFOs and related phenomena has grown in recent years, due to the federal government backing the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and established channels for pilots and the public to report sightings.

“And they gave specifics, they gave addresses, they gave times and dates and people that were in the meeting,” Burchett said during a Monday livestream interview with TMZ. “And this went all the way up to the executive branch of previous presidents, not this current president.”

Answering the hosts’ questions, the 61-year-old congressman stressed that the claims referred both to “life that is not earthly” and to “something mechanical that’s not earthly.”

Burchett also said that he does not believe extraterrestrial beings pose a threat to humanity.

“I don't think we’re at danger of this. I mean, these things exist as I think they do, and they could have destroyed us with the blink of an eye, I just don’t see that,” he stressed.

In an interview with Newsmax a week earlier, the lawmaker also warned that releasing classified information about alleged alien encounters could shake public confidence.

“I’ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is, and if they released what I’ve seen, you’d be up at night worrying about it,” he said.

Tim Burchett has emerged as a leading voice on disclosure of files regarding unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), pushing for greater government transparency.

He has alleged that various agencies, including NASA, have been “lying” about what they know and claims that many files on the subject remain undisclosed.

In February, US President Donald Trump announced plans to order the Department of War and other agencies to release government files related to UAPs and UFOs due to “tremendous interest.”

Shortly after that, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that the American public would learn whether his department holds records proving the existence of aliens, but cautioned against expecting a swift release.

In March 2024, the Pentagon said it had no proof that any unidentified aerial phenomena are in fact alien technology, adding that many cases involved weather balloons, spy planes, satellites, and other routine activity.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) - A sight in the skies over Central California left many people wondering... "What was that?"

It appeared as a towering plume of white smoke, dotted with glowing spots.

That was a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, launching from Vandenberg Space Force Base along the Central Coast.

The rocket was carrying 25 Starlink satellites into lowEarth orbit.

About two and a half minutes after launch, the rocket's first and second stages separated.

The second stage continued on into space, while the first stage returned to Earth, making a safe landing on a drone ship off the coast of Baja California, Mexico.

SpaceX launches rockets from Vandenberg about once a week, but this one stood out.

Clear skies, combined with a twilight launch just after sunset, meant the rocket was still catching sunlight at higher elevations, making it especially visible across much of the Valley.

WASHINGTON — The CIA used a futuristic new tool called “Ghost Murmur” to find and rescue the second American airman who was shot down in southern Iran, The Post has learned.

The secret technology uses long-range quantum magnetometry to find the electromagnetic fingerprint of a human heartbeat and pairs the data with artificial intelligence software to isolate the signature from background noise, two sources close to the breakthrough said.

It was the tool’s first use in the field by the spy agency — and was alluded to Monday afternoon by President Trump and CIA Director John Ratcliffe at a White House briefing.

“It’s like hearing a voice in a stadium, except the stadium is a thousand square miles of desert,” a source briefed on the program told The Post. “In the right conditions, if your heart is beating, we will find you.”

This source and another with knowledge of Lockheed Martinintelligence collection tools told The Post that “Ghost Murmur” was developed by Skunk Works, the aerospace giant’s secretive advanced development division. The company declined to comment.

The technology has been successfully tested on Black Hawk helicopters for future potential use on F-35 fighter jets, the second source said.

The missing and wounded weapons systems officer — known publicly only as “Dude 44 Bravo” — was hiding in a mountain crevice after his F-15 jet was shot down late last week, surviving two days in desolate terrain as Iranian troops scoured the area for the American with a bounty on his head.

The relatively barren landscape made for “an ideal first operational use” of Ghost Murmur, the first source said.

“The name is deliberate. ‘Murmur’ is a clinical term for a heart rhythm. ‘Ghost’ refers to finding someone who, for all practical purposes, has disappeared,” the source said.

What to know about the daring rescue of the US airman in Iran:

It was “about as clean an environment as you could ask for” because of low electromagnetic interference, “almost no competing human signatures, and at night the thermal contrast between a living body and the desert floor,” which “gave operators a secondary confirmation layer.”

“Normally this signal is so weak that it can only be measured in a hospital setting with sensors pressed nearly against the chest,” the source said.

“But advances in a field known as quantum magnetometry — specifically sensors built around microscopic defects in synthetic diamonds — have apparently made it possible to detect these signals at dramatically greater distances.”

“The capability is not omniscient. It works best in remote, low-clutter environments and requires significant processing time,” this person said.

It was unclear to The Post’s sources how long the processing time was in this use. It’s also unclear if the technology may have additional wartime offensive uses.

Although the missing airman had activated a Boeing-made Combat Survivor Evader Locator beacon, his precise whereabouts remained uncertain to search and rescue teams.

The pivotal moment in the frantic two-day search and rescue mission came when “Ghost Murmur” pinpointed the aviator’s location — with the first source describing the two technologies as both being useful in ball-parking and then confirming the location.

“He had to come out [of the crevice] to send the beacon,” the first source said. “It was less important the signal they sent and more important that he had to come out to send [it].”

’40 miles away’

Trump and Ratcliffe hinted at the new technology while briefing the press on the successive yet dramatic mission, which included hundreds of US troops and two rescue planes getting stuck in a field, requiring more planes and the destruction of the stranded jets — with no American casualties.

It was the tool’s first use in the field by the CIA.

Ratcliffe, who took no reporter questions at the briefing, said that on Saturday morning the spy agency “achieved our primary objective by finding and providing confirmation that one of America’s best and bravest was alive and concealed in a mountain crevice — still invisible to the enemy, but not to the CIA.”

“That confirmation was relayed by Secretary [of War Pete] Hegseth to the president, and the operation quickly moved to the execution phase,” the CIA director said.

Trump told the press that the CIA spotted the missing American from “40 miles away.”

“It’s like finding a needle in a haystack, finding this pilot, and the CIA was unbelievable,” Trump said Monday. “The CIA was very responsible for finding this little speck.”

The president said that Ratcliffe “did a phenomenal job that night — he did something that I don’t know if you want to talk about it. If you want, you can. I’m not sure he’s supposed to.”

The president joked that the technology “might be classified, in which case I’d have to put him in jail if he talks about it and I don’t want to put him in jail. He doesn’t deserve that.”

Trump himself has revealed the contours of secret new technologies — including telling The Post in January that he deployed a weapon called “The Discombobulator” to disable Venezuelan defensesduring the Jan. 3 raid that captured the country’s dictator Nicolas Maduro to face US drug and weapons charges.

The secret nature of Ghost Murmur was “basically why everyone’s been so cagey about how [the airman] was actually found,” the first source said.

“I don’t think people even know this technology is possible from this distance.”

To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks.

Almost four hours before Donald Trump’s deadline for Iran, Pakistan’s prime minister called on Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks as a goodwill gesture and urged all parties to observe a temporary ceasefire to allow diplomacy to end the war.

"To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture," he said in a post on X.

"We also urge all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to allow diplomacy to achieve conclusive termination of war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region,"he added.

The party’s home affairs spokesman says “enough is enough” after London admitted 3.8 million people from countries seeking compensation

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK would stop issuing visas to nationals from any country that demands slavery reparations from Britain, the party’s home affairs spokesman has announced, dismissing the compensation claims as “insulting.”

Speaking to The Telegraph, Zia Yusuf stated that a growing number of nations are seeking compensation for the UK’s historical role in the transatlantic slave trade, but are ignoring that Britain “made huge sacrifices to be the first major power to outlaw slavery and enforce this prohibition.”

Yusuf expressed outrage that over the past two decades, successive Conservative and Labour governments had issued 3.8 million visas to people from countries demanding reparations and also sent those nations £6.6 billion ($8.7 billion) in foreign aid.

Under Reform’s proposed ‘Reparations Lock’, the UK would halt the issuance of all new visas, including work, study, family, and visitor visas, to nationals of any country that formally demands reparations. The party has already pledged to scrap foreign aid for such nations.

“The United Kingdom is not an ATM for ethnic grievances of the past, and we will no longer tolerate being ridiculed on the world stage,” Yusuf said, stressing that “enough is enough.”

His comments come after the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution last month declaring the transatlantic slave trade “the gravest crime against humanity.” The measure, proposed by Ghana, urged countries to consider apologizing and contributing to a reparations fund. It passed with 123 votes in favor, including from Russia and China. The US, Israel, and Argentina voted against the measure while the UK was among 52 countries that abstained.

At least 17 countries have demanded reparations from Britain, including the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Belize.

A 2023 report by a former International Court of Justice judge concluded that the UK alone owes more than $24 trillion in reparations to 14 Caribbean countries – a sum nearly seven times the size of the British economy. Of that sum, nearly $9.6tn is due to Jamaica, the study claimed.

The UK government had previously ruled out reparations, with Chancellor Rachel Reeves stating the country “cannot afford” the sums demanded. The Conservative opposition has also described reparations as a “scam.”

The former French president has again rejected allegations that his 2007 campaign was bankrolled by Libya, as an appeals court re-examines the case

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has claimed that “not a single cent” from Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya found its way into his 2007 election campaign, at an appearance before a Paris appeals court on Tuesday.

He is appealing a five-year prison sentence handed down in 2025 after being found guilty of criminal conspiracy in a case centered on alleged efforts to secure covert Libyan funding for his presidential bid between 2005 and 2007. He briefly served part of the sentence before being released under judicial supervision pending the outcome of the appeal, and has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

At the opening of his questioning on Tuesday, Sarkozy attacked the case against him, calling it a “construction” built on “lies and hatred” and claiming there had been “not a single cent” of Libyan money in his campaign. He denied that Gaddafi had any hold over him “financially, politically or personally,” telling the court: “I am innocent.”

Nine co-defendants are reportedly being retried alongside Sarkozy, including former ministers and senior aides. Several have also denied wrongdoing.

The case dates to 2011, when Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of Muammar Gaddafi, claimed that his father had provided up to €50 million ($58 million) to support Sarkozy’s campaign. Investigators later examined contacts between Sarkozy’s associates and Libyan officials in the years leading up to the 2007 election.

Sarkozy, who led France from 2007 to 2012, was at the forefront of a NATO-backed regime-change operation which destroyed Libya and led to Gaddafi’s murder.

The war brought thousands of jihadist fighters into the country, devastated Libya’s economy, and opened a migration route toward southern Europe that precipitated an ongoing crisis.

Prosecutors say the suspected dealings predated the conflict. Some observers have suggested the war effectively buried any potential evidence linked to the alleged funding arrangements.

The appeal trial is due to run until June 3, with a verdict expected later this year. If upheld, the conviction could expose Sarkozy to a sentence of up to ten years in prison.

Iran’s first of its 10 point plan in English: A binding guarantee that the U.S. and allies will not strike Iran again

But in Iran’s Farsi version, a key phrase is tacked onto its first point namely the acceptance of Iran’s uranium enrichment.

So, Iran’s English version of its 10 point plan makes no mention of nuclear, but its Farsi version, likely approved by the leadership, reiterates the same unacceptable enrichment condition.

On the other hand, US first four points

1. Dismantle all major nuclear facilities

2. End all uranium enrichment on Iranian soil

3. Transfer enriched uranium stockpiles out of Iran

4. Accept intrusive international inspections everywhere

The plan allows Iran and Oman to charge a fee of up to $2m a ship on vessels transiting through the strait, according to reports. Iran would then use the money it raises for reconstruction.

If peace talks fail, Tehran may again seek to close the strait.

Will the US agree to this 10-point plan and Iran’s proposals?

Since negotiations began between the Trump administration and Iran over the status of Tehran’s nuclear programme almost a year ago, their vastly different demands and the limits to what each side would concede have proved a barrier to any lasting agreement.

Iran’s demand that it retains control over the strait of Hormuz has been highlighted as of particular concern, as it held no control over the strait before the conflict began.

The Democratic senator Chris Murphy leapt on the comments from Iran, telling CNN “who knows if any of that is true, but if this agreement gives Iran the right to control the strait that is cataclysmic for the world”.

Trump himself has not commented directly on Iran’s demands, but said the US would “be helping with the traffic buildup in the strait of Hormuz”.

Experts and analysts have suggested that Iran’s maximalist demands are unlikely to be agreed to by the US, but will rather form the basis for talks.

Is Israel part of the deal?

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Israel supports the US decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks, but that the ceasefire does not include Lebanon. Pakistan’s prime minister had previously said that the agreed ceasefire covered “everywhere including Lebanon.”

Netanyahu’s office said Tehran must immediately open the strait and stop attacks against the US, Israel and countries in the region. Israel also said it supported US efforts to ensure Iran no longer posed a nuclear, missile or “terror” threat.

The Israeli offensive in Lebanon has killed at least 1,500 people and displaced 1.2 million others. Lebanon was pulled into the war when Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel in solidarity with Tehran.

What will happen next?

Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, who helped mediate the ceasefire, said in a post on X that he had invited Iranian and US delegations to meet in Islamabad on Friday.

Tehran has said it will participate in the talks. The White House said it is considering in-person talks with Iran but they have not been finalised.

What happened in the hours leading up to Trump pausing his deadline?

Late on Tuesday, Pakistan’s prime minister urged Trump to extend his deadline by two weeks to allow diplomacy to advance. In a post on X, Sharif, whose country has been leading negotiations, also asked Iran to open up for two weeks the strait of Hormuz.

China, which is Tehran’s biggest trade partner, encouraged the Iranians to find a way to a ceasefire as talks progressed, according to two officials who were not authorised to comment and spoke to AP on condition of anonymity. Trump told AFP on Tuesday he believed China had helped get Iran to the negotiating table.

With the US midterm election campaign ramping up, Trump’s approval ratings have hit their lowest level ever, leaving his Republican party at risk of losing its narrow majorities in Congress. Polls show sizeable majorities of Americans are opposed to the war and frustrated by the rising cost of petrol.

A key Vladimir Putin ally has threatened to blow up a London landmark in revenge for British-made drones destroying a Russian-controlled bridge.

Pro-Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Kornilov said Westminster Bridge should burn after it emerged Ukraine used UK Malloy T-150 heavy-lift drones to blow up a bridge in Kherson, an oblast in eastern Ukraine under Russia's thumb.

Mr Kornilov, who himself as a British affairs specialist, condemned what he described as open boasting about "participation in acts of sabotage on Russian territory."

"It's high time we started bragging: 'Russian missiles destroyed the key Westminster Bridge'.

"Of course, the Houthis or the Iranians will be the ones doing the hitting," he frothed.

He also labelled the Ukrainian operation a "terrorist attack."

The strike against the Konka river crossing, a distributary of the Dnipro, took place in March 2025 - but details of the British drone involvement only emerged on Tuesday.

Ukraine's 426th Unmanned Systems Regiment, a unit renowned for pioneering drone warfare techniques, executed the mission using the heavy-lift aircraft across more than 30 sorties spanning 60 days.

Throughout the operation, the drones transported an extraordinary 1.5 tonnes of explosives whilst evading Russian detection and defences.

Dramatic footage captured the moment blasts tore through the critical structure, which had been enabling Russian forces to threaten the city of Kherson.

Ukrainian forces had previously attempted to demolish the crossing on multiple occasions, deploying conventional strikes and American-supplied HIMARS rocket systems without success.

The breakthrough came when commanders assigned the task to the specialist 426th Regiment.

Summary:

The Hegseth/Caine presser as expected declared 'victory' in Iran while Gen. Caine emphasized the ceasefire is a "pause" but US forces remain "ready to resume combat." Hegseth says "military will be hanging around in Iran, won't go anywhere, and will make sure Iran complies.

Caine hails that US has destroyed Iran's defense-industrial base, including over 80% of missile facilities gone, and its navy lies at the "bottom of the Arabian Sea". It's clear that after six weeks the Pentagon is trying to put a bow on Operation Epic Fury.

Iran meanwhile demands stiff fees for ships passing through Hormuz during the ceasefire, and says it holds the final authority on which vessels get to pass. Tehran leaders have asserted 'victory' for Iran, amid positive international reaction to the ceasefire.

Attacks on Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia continued on Wednesday, hours after the ceasefire announcement. Also, there's as yet been no significant change in navigation traffic in the Strait of Hormuz today, per Bloomberg satellite data.

Saudi Arabia's vital East-West oil pipeline carrying crude from the Gulf to the Red Sea for export has been attacked at a pumping station, oil rises on the news.

A huge, and not very 'ceasefirey' development in Saudi Arabia, per the FT (just as Hegseth was speaking): "A pumping station was hit at 1 p.m. local time, the people told FT. The attack was carried out by a drone and damage was being assessed, one of the people told FT Saudi Aramco, which owns and operates the pipeline." FT continues, "The people said a pumping station, one of several along the 1,200km pipeline that has become an economic lifeline for the kingdom since the near closure of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, was hit at about 1pm local time on Wednesday."

One Gulf based representative and analyst complains, "For a ceasefire, the fire does not seem to be ceasing. The UAE and Kuwait are under attack, and Iran says it is under attack too. Beyond the ceasefire itself, the bigger question is that the plan still looks unclear when it comes to what follows..."

Last night we reported that no less than 800 ships were still trapped in the immediate aftermath of the US-Iran ceasefire agreement, unsure what the fine print of the deal meant for transits. This morning we are down to ~798, after the first two cargo vessels have crossed the Strait of Hormuz since the ceasefire, according to ship tracking data.

The Liberia-flagged Daytona Beach, destined for the United Arab Emirates, crossed just before 8am UK time, while the Greek-owned NJ Earth followed about two hours later, with its destination undisclosed, the tracking platform Kpler showed.

The ships are the first large vessels to transit the critical waterway since the agreement of a two-week ceasefire, under which Iran has claimed it would maintain control of the strait. It was unclear if they paid any tolls to make the crossing. Around 175 million barrels of crude and refined products are currently loaded on to 187 tankers in the Gulf, according to Kpler data — which could now start to move, depending on what happens in the strait.

Regarding Hormuz transit, Iran said it will demand that shipping companies pay tolls in cryptocurrency for oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz, as it seeks to retain control over passage through the key waterway during the two-week ceasefire, the FT reported.

Hamid Hosseini, a spokesperson for Iran’s Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters’ Union, told the FT on Wednesday that Iran wanted to collect tolling fees from any tanker passing and to assess each ship.

“Iran needs to monitor what goes in and out of the strait to ensure these two weeks aren’t used for transferring weapons,” said Hosseini, whose industry association works closely with the state. “Everything can pass through, but the procedure will take time for each vessel, and Iran is not in a rush,” he added.

Decisions on the conditions for passing the strait are taken by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. Hosseini’s remarks suggest Iran will require any tankers to use the northerly route close to its coastline, raising questions over whether western or Gulf state-linked vessels will be willing to risk transit.

Hosseini said that each tanker must email authorities about its cargo, after which Iran will inform them of the toll to be paid in digital currencies.

He said that the tariff is $1 per barrel of oil, adding that empty tankers can pass freely.

“Once the email arrives and Iran completes its assessment, vessels are given a few seconds to pay in bitcoin, ensuring they can’t be traced or confiscated due to sanctions,” Hosseini added.

Speaking to CBS this morning, Trump said that there may be a joint US-Iran venture for Hormuz tolls.

"The simplest explanation of the changing period is that the nucleus was torqued by recoil forces from anisotropic outgassing, as has been widely demonstrated in other comets," Jewitt explains in his paper, which ha.

"Indeed, ground based observations set an upper limit to the nucleus radius rn ≲ 0.7 km, a size which renders the nucleus susceptible to rapid spin evolution through outgassing torques."

While outgassing is to be expected in a comet, the outgassing seen here is particularly jet-like. What is particularly puzzling about the comet is that it has been determined to be in a stable orbit.

"The lifetime of the nucleus to rotational instability (a few decades) is short compared to the dynamical lifetime (∼103 [years]) in its current orbit," Jewitt adds.

"The continued existence of 41P therefore suggests that either the current level of outgassing activity is substantially larger than on average, and/or that the nucleus is a remnant of a once much larger body."

Further observations could tell us more about cometary rotation, and perhaps how comets are destroyed by their own spin.

“The evidence is that comets just don’t live that long,” Jewitt told Jonathan O’Callaghan, writing for The New York Times. “There’s some other process that destroys the comets, and I think it’s rotation.”

Alternatively, Jewitt suggests that Hubble could have observed the comet during a particularly active period, resulting in overestimates of mass loss and the twisting motion produced by outgassing, as well as underestimating the lifetime of the comet.

"But there is a third possible interpretation. Perhaps 41P/Tuttle-Giacobini-Kresák is a Trojan Horse with the outside appearance of a natural iceberg but with technology embedded in its belly," Loeb writes on his blog.

"In that case, its spin reversal is a technological signature. Based on my personal experience – if Jewitt have discussed this technological possibility, his paper would have been blocked from publication.

Indeed, this possibility is not mentioned in the published paper, but I am free to mention it here in the absence of gatekeepers – within the safe space of my essay."

While we get the appeal of suggesting aliens – who would not like to have an answer on whether we are alone in the universe? – this suggestion is unnecessary given what we have observed of the comet so far.

Loeb has suggested that other objects may be alien technology in the past – including suggesting 1I/'Oumuamua could be an alien lightsail, 3I/ATLAS could be an alien spacecraft, and asteroid CNEOS 2014-01-08, which crashed to Earth in 2014, could have been sent here by aliens.

None of these hypotheses have shown much signs of promise, with natural explanations favored by almost all astronomers.

Searches for technological signatures on 3I/ATLAS and 1I/'Oumuamua have both come up with nothing, and both objects (whilst interesting, and different to Solar System objects) have shown little signs of doing anything out of the ordinary, let alone using Jupiter in braking maneuver, a possibility suggested by Loeb that failed to emerge.

As for 41P/Tuttle-Giacobini-Kresak, the comet will dip back into the inner Solar System in 2028, giving us further opportunities to observe this cosmic oddity, and pin down what is going on with it.

We wouldn't hold our breaths for signs of aliens, given we have observed a grand total of zero (0) alien artifacts so far.
