After decades of sweeping under the rug the massive tragedy of millions of raped and trafficked girls by Muslim grooming gangs, it did seem that now, with all the international pressure we are applying, this issue would be investigated as thoroughly as it should.

But, no -- Labour MPs have voted to block a national inquiry into the grooming gangs.

The Telegraph reported:

“The amendment put forward by Conservative MPs that would have piled pressure on the Government to hold a statutory inquiry into historic child sexual exploitation was voted down by 364 to 111.

Keir Starmer insisted on Wednesday that victims wanted ‘action now, not the delay of a further inquiry’.

“It comes after revelations that Jess Phillips refused to fund an inquiry into historical child sexual abuse in Oldham, despite a request from the town’s council.

Kemi Badenoch, the Leader of the Opposition, said that voters would fear a ‘cover up’ if the Government did not order an inquiry at a national level.”

Jordan Peterson joined Piers Morgan on Tuesday night to discuss the Muslim grooming and rape scandal in Great Britain that has been ignored for decades until Tommy Robinson started to speak out and more recently when Elon Musk called out the Labour Leader for his role in the coverup of the greatest sexual abuse scandal in history.

For over a decade the UK media and political elites have targeted and attacked Tommy Robinson rather than address the rape pandemic of little girls in their towns and cities. The criminal acts were ‘covered up’ due to fears that it could spark islamophobia.

Jordan Peterson: The first case is that 40 out of 50 Muslim-majority countries in the world are authoritarian hell holes, and only three of them are democracies. And that’s Morocco, Indonesia, and Turkey. And I wouldn’t put them in the highest echelons of stellar states…

… there are certainly doctrines in Islam that are very, very difficult to square with free liberal Western Christian democracies. And those differences aren’t just apparent, they’re deep. It was like one in seven of the men in some of these communities was directly involved. And that meant everyone knew about it. Absolutely everyone on the Pakistani Muslim side. And the moderates were certainly silent and complicit. Now, obviously, so were the authorities.

Elon Musk’s tweets about Muslim pedophile gangs are being assessed by the UK Government’s counter-extremism unit, as a potential threat to the security of the country, it has emerged.

The Daily Mirror reports that The Home Office unit has stepped up social media monitoring of accounts with large followings, including Musk’s, as pertains to the grooming gangs issue.

Musk has posted hundreds of tweets in the past week related to the scandal, including openly calling Prime Minister Kier Starmer “evil,” accusing him of facilitating a cover up, and labelling Starmer and safeguarding minister Jess Philips as complicit in the “rape” of Britain.

The Mirror report states that the UK government’s counterterrorism unit has “been involved in content analysis and wider risk assessment.”

A government source told the Mirror “We keep a close eye on how disinformation and hate can proliferate, including online.”

John Woodcock, the government’s adviser on political violence and disruption, asserted that “Britain’s democracy isn’t a play thing for foreign billionaires -- Elon Musk needs to back off and concentrate on his rockets and his cars or whatever he wants to obsess about next. Our electoral laws rightly forbid foreign donations and my recent review warns against our information channels being deliberately manipulated from abroad. We should be watching closely to ensure that doesn’t happen here.”

The government’s website states that the counter-extremism unit “focuses on the highest harm risks to the homeland, whether from terrorists, state actors, or cyber and economic criminals,”

While the tweets are being investigated, the government has rejected calls for a new national inquiry into the pedophile gangs scandal, with ministers voting down a move to legislate for an inquiry.

Ironically, the current head of counter-terrorism policing in the UK is an officer who served as Borough Commander in Rotherham, one of the areas most notorious for child sexual abuse at the hands of Muslim pedophile gangs, from 2006-2010.

In comments to GB News, former Head of the Counter Terrorist Unit at Ministry of Defence, Major General Chip Chapman suggested that Musk’s tweets could influence others to take violent action, and that there is a history of ‘conspiracy theorists’ doing that in the UK.

Green radicals from the Just Stop Oil activist collective defaced Charles Darwin’s grave on Monday, claiming that humanity will not be able to adapt to the supposed climate crisis.

Members of the climate change alarmist Just Stop Oil group used orange spray paint to deface ‘Father of Evolution’ Charles Darwin’s grave memorial in Westminster Abbey, with the message “1.5 is dead”, a reference to the 2015 Paris Agreement, which called on governments to prevent the world from increasing temperatures beyond 1.5 degrees Celsius.

“Two Just Stop Oil supporters have painted Charles Darwin’s grave to demand that the UK government works with others to phase out the extraction and burning of fossil fuels by 2030,” Just Stop Oil said in a press release.

The radical group, which often uses paint to vandalise great works of art to bring attention to their cause, said that it used Darwin’s grave for its latest stunt to demonstrate that humans cannot adapt to the changing climate, which they attribute to man-made factors.

“Darwin would be turning in his grave to know we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction. The government’s plans will take us to over 3 degrees of warming. This will destroy everything we love. World leaders must stop burning oil, gas and coal by 2030,” the group said.

Just Stop Oil also attributed the California fires, which have claimed the lives of 24 people and destroyed countless buildings and homes, to climate change.

Others, such as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, have cited mismanagement of water resources, failure to clear brush, and poor planning by the Democratic-controlled state as significant factors in stoking the disaster.

While the left has long hailed Charles Darwin for his theories on evolution, Just Stop Oil is not the only leftist group to target the 19th-century English naturalist in recent years.

In 2020, for example, Britain’s Natural History Museum said that following pressure from the international Marxist Black Lives Matter movement, it decided to review supposedly offensive items in its collection, including specimens obtained by Darwin from the Galapagos Islands.

At the time, a museum curator reportedly claimed they represented “colonialist scientific expeditions”.

Failing British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has controversially ruled out a National Inquiry into the Grooming Gangs scandal that has targeted countless British children, mostly by Islamic immigrants - but the issue will not go away so easily.

Besides Reform UK and Conservative Party both condemning the move, as well as large sectors of the society, now a trend is starting inside Starmer’s own Labour party in which top party figures and MPs are starting to break rank and publicly demand for the National Inquiry to take place.

Today (13) it arose that the Labour MP representing the ‘grooming hot spot’ of Rotherham has made a U-turn, and is demanding a National Inquiry into the scandal.

The Telegraph reported:

“Sarah Champion said that ‘nothing less than a national inquiry into the failings of those in authority to prevent and be accountable for their failings’ would restore public faith. Only a week ago the MP warned that an inquiry would mean ‘another 10 years of waiting’.”

This comes mere hours after Labour MP for Rochdale, Paul Waugh, also called for a national probe.

More than 1,400 girls in Rotherham fell victim to grooming, rape and sexual abuse between 1997 and 2013. Most of the perpetrators were British Pakistanis.

Champion stated that Child sexual abuse ‘is endemic in the UK’ and has to be treated as a national priority.

“It is clear that the public distrusts governments and authorities when it comes to preventing and prosecuting child abuse, especially child sexual exploitation. The statistics on these crimes show the scale of the problem; the high level of public concern and mistrust only emphasizes why addressing all forms of child abuse must be a government priority.

Having worked widely with victims and survivors, and front-line professionals, I have long believed that we need to fully understand the nature of this crime and the failures in the response of public bodies if we are to truly protect children.

It is clear that nothing less than a national inquiry into the failings of those in authority to both prevent, and be accountable for their failings, in relation to grooming gangs will restore the faith in our safeguarding systems.”

Champion called on Starmer to implement all of the recommendations from the Prof. Alexis Jay inquiry into child sex abuse.

“The MP requested a national audit to see if ‘grooming gangs’ are still operating, or whether cases have been missed, as well as a national inquiry into the failings of authorities over grooming gangs. […] Transparency and accountability need to be embedded into this process, with victims and survivors sitting at its heart’.”

Prime Minister Keir Starmer was in Kiev on Thursday where he announced a "historic" 100-year partnership with Ukraine, committing the United Kingdom to supporting the country "beyond this terrible war" and into a future so that it can be "free and thriving again".

He said while meeting with President Zelensky that "right now Putin shows no signs of wanting to stop" his "unrelenting aggression" and that the unprecedented agreement reflects the "huge affection between our two nations."'''

Interestingly, an inbound Russian drone attack triggered anti-aircraft fire while Starmer and Zelensky were in the middle of talks, but no casualties or damage resulted.

The hugely symbolic 100-year agreement, which clearly sends a message to the Kremlin, commits a whopping £3 billion of British support each year, to be continued indefinitely, according to The Guardian.

According to more of what's been outlined as part of the long-term agreement:

Under the agreement, London and Kyiv pledged to “deepen defence cooperation” and boost Ukraine’s defence industry, recognizing it as a "future NATO ally".

Starmer said his government would also deliver a "mobile air defence system" and bolster maritime cooperation through new security frameworks in the Baltic Sea, Black Sea and Sea of Azov.

Various treaties that are part of the 100-year agreement are expected to be introduced to the United Kingdom Parliament in the coming weeks.

Further, Starmer described that the British military will increase training for Ukrainian soldiers as well as send 150 artillery barrels made by Sheffield Forgemasters, part of rejuvenating the historic company's national defense production.

Already there has long been a UK training program from Ukrainian troops on British soil, and London has from the start of the war been among the most hawkish European capitals supporting Kiev and leading anti-Russian measures.

Starmer further said that the 100-year partnership agreement will take relations to the next level. "The power of our long-term friendships cannot be underestimated," he said.

"Supporting Ukraine to defend itself from Russia’s barbaric invasion and rebuild a prosperous, sovereign future is vital to this government’s foundation of security and our plan for change," the prime minister added.

This appears to be a continuation of some European leaders' policy of 'Trump-proofing' future support to Ukraine, amid fears that the US president-elect could press Kiev into a 'bad deal'. But it will also serve to provoke antagonism between Russia and the West for a long time to come.

The British government has announced a “rapid national audit” to expose Muslim grooming gangs.

In what appears to be a victory for a campaign led by Elon Musk, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced that her department would take additional steps to try and bring justice to the victims.

“Under new plans, more victims will be given the power to have their cases re-examined, allowing police forces to pursue offenders and secure justice for victims and survivors,” the Home Office wrote in a post on the X platform.

The review will be conducted by Baroness Louise Casey and is expected to be completed within three months and aims to provide a comprehensive national overview of the situation.

While the announcement stops short of a full-blown inquiry into the issue, which Musk and the likes of Nigel Farage have demanded, the move undoubtedly represents a victory for the pressure campaign exerted against the government of Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“I hope this is a proper investigation,” Musk wrote on X.

According to BBC political reporter Alex Forsyth, the announcement is “clearly a shift in the government’s position.”

She explained:

The issue of grooming gangs shot up the agenda again after it emerged that the Home Office had refused a request for an inquiry from Oldham council.

Yet now the Home Secretary has agreed to provide government support for local inquiries with some funding and the expertise of the KC who led the investigation in Telford.

There’s also going to be a “rapid national audit” of the scale and nature of gang-based exploitation across the country, which will also look at the “cultural drivers”.

The government’s insisting it’s not a new national inquiry, but it has clearly decided there’s a need for further action.

The last national inquiry into grooming gangs, which concluded in 2022, determined that thousands of white British girls had been abused by Pakistani-heritage men over the past 20 years.

As well as failing to protect these vulnerable children, it also found that the police and other institutions had refused to act on reports of grooming for fear of being labeled racist.

In some cases, they even attempted to cover the crimes up so as to protect so-called community relations.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who bet big on a Trump victory, is now making broad predictions about a “new golden age” for Hungary with Trump in the White House, while taking shots at Democrats and George Soros, including a promise to expel his organizations from Hungary.

“Everything will change, a different day will dawn over the Western world on Tuesday morning. The failed democratic governance in America will come to an end,” Magyar Nemzet reported Viktor Orbán as saying in his first interview this year with Kossuth Radio’s Good Morning Hungary! program.

Calling the Democratic Party and George Soros “a bunch of idiots,” Orbán claimed the Democrats want to force what they think is right on the world, including regarding migration, gender, and wa.

He further called U.S. Ambassador to Hungary David Pressman a “bully” who sought to “push Hungary into the globalist canon.”

“It is not in the Hungarian people’s thinking that a tyrant comes here and says that people from the other side of the world should come here and populate this region before us,” the Hungarian prime minister said, admitting that he “was not willing” to meet Pressman even once during his four-year tenure.

Regarding Antal Rogán being put on the U.S. sanctions list, Orbán said this actually strengthened Rogán’s position in the government and that the U.S. move proves the minister is doing his job well. Although Rogán’s official title is minister of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office; Orbán mentioned his job specifically as being related to Hungary’s “intelligence/secret services” (titkosszolgálatok).

Believing that a Trump administration heralds a “new golden age” for Hungary, Orbán said that his top priority for 2025 is to send George Soros back to the United States, with the “expulsion of the Soros network from Hungary” starting this spring. Orbán also expressed his hope that “patriots elsewhere” will also do the same.

“It must be shown that the Soros network’s presence in Europe is contrary to the interests of the people,” he stated.

Stating that Brussels is in the pocket of George Soros, he said, “If there is corruption, this is it.”

Noting the start of a “new era in Brussels,” the prime minister said Brussels needs to “sober up” and “adapt.”

Although the prime minister lauded Hungary’s economic policy plans, he said they will only work if the war does not escalate and the sanctions policy is stopped. He also believes serious protective measures will be needed.

“Without Western money, there is no Ukraine. Ukrainian agriculture clashes with European agriculture, and its economy does not fit into the European system,” he added.

Promising jobs and wage increases for everyone, he sees the middle class growing stronger in 2025, highlighting Hungary’s financial reserve system to boost consumption. Orbán also noted that Hungarians save an average of 24 percent of their income, compared to the EU average of 14 percent.

On the eve of Donald J. Trump’s historic inauguration as 47th UDS President, some reliable British partners have flocked to the District of Columbia to celebrate the long-time ally.

Conservative firebrand Suella Braverman was recorded excitedly arriving in the US donning a black Maga hat.

The Telegraph reported:

“The former home secretary, who backed Mr. Trump for the presidency, said it was an honor to be in Washington DC for the ceremony on Monday.

She will join Dame Priti Patel, the shadow foreign secretary, Nigel Farage, the Reform UK leader, and Liz Truss, the former prime minister, in the US capital.”

Braverman wore a black hat bearing the president-elect’s famous slogan Make America Great Again (Maga).

“In a clip posted by Channel 4 News, she said: ‘Listen, I’ve got the Make America Great [Again] hat. And listen, it’s an honor to be here and I’m very grateful for the invitation for the inauguration’.

Asked if Mr. Trump had invited her personally, she said: ‘I’m very much looking forward to attending the rally tomorrow’.”

She arrived at the same time as Laurence Fox, former British actor and leader of the Reclaim Party.

Priti Patel, representing the Tories in Washington, celebrated her party’s ‘long-standing ties’ with the Republicans.

“Our two parties in government and out of government have worked closely together over decades. In the past, two governments ending the Cold War, bringing economic prosperity around the world, as well as for our two countries.”

There’s even talk that Meghan’s team tried to negotiate a book about her divorce from Harry with an unnamed Publishing House - which is causing waves.

But amid the flurry of negative press, there’s an even more concerning report that tells of a ‘close confidant’ of President Donald Trump urging him to revoke Prince Harry’s visa and deport him if it is found the exiled royal lied on his immigration application.

Sky News reported:

“Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom director and Bernard and Barbara Lomas Fellow at the Heritage Foundation Nile Gardiner accused Harry and Meghan Markle of making a ‘mockery’ of the Royal Family after the pair went on a ‘hugely inappropriate’ political rant criticizing Meta’s decision to abandon its much-criticized fact-checking program.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex urged Meta, led by billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, to reverse its adoption of a “Community Notes” approach to fact-checking across Facebook, Instagram, and Threads in a statement released by the Sussexes’ office via their Archewell Foundation website this week.”

This comes as Harry and Meghan are living an infernal period in their cherished PR efforts, with neighbors calling them the ‘most entitled people on the planet’, and also branding them ‘ambulance chasers’ for meddling in the effort to help the victims of the Palisades fire.

Meta’s changes in their content moderation were announced on January 7, and the pair of exiled Royals felt like they ‘needed’ to chime in.

“Harry and Meghan said the move ‘directly undermines free speech’. […] ‘It doesn’t matter whether your views are left, right, or somewhere in between -- the latest news from Meta about changes to their policies directly undermines free speech. This should deeply concern us all. In an already confusing and, in many instances, intentionally disruptive information environment, Meta has shown their words and commitments have very little meaning or integrity’.”

Gardiner said the Duke and Duchess engaged in ‘clear intervention on a deeply political matter, specifically the contentious issue of censorship on social media in the United States’.

“’For members of the Royal Family to engage in such overtly political matters is, quite frankly, highly inappropriate. It goes against royal protocol’, he said on Wednesday.

“Their use of these titles to further their personal and political agendas makes a mockery of the royal family’s customary neutrality. Their statement wasn’t a moderate call for dialogue or understanding; it was an outright political rant’.”

Gardiner led The Heritage Foundation’s legal campaign against Homeland Security Department for the release of Harry’s immigration records, after he confessed to drug use in his best-selling book Spare.

“Mr. Gardiner, who has met with Mr. Trump many times, said he would highly recommend the release of Harry’s immigration records to the 45th and 47th US president if he meets with him again. He said he believed it was only a matter of time before the records were released to the public.”

The Independent reported:

“While the threat of rejecting Lord Mandelson could be saber-rattling, strains between the Labour government and the incoming administration are being blamed. However, there also are concerns about Lord Mandelson’s perceived links to China.

Labour has told the Trump transition team that ‘it is a huge compliment’ that Sir Keir wants to send such a senior Labour figure, but a source noted: ‘We are not buying that’.”

Trump is famously pro-UK, and his team reportedly is very well-impressed by the current UK ambassador Dame Karen Pierce.

The Independent report lists Mandelson’s connections with China as the most alarming point to the incoming Trump administration.

“’It is quite possible that Mandelson’s credentials could still be rejected’, a source said. ‘There are serious concerns about his links to China’.”

What is not said in the Independent or the Daily Mail reports is that Mandelson’s friendship with late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is bound to be a sticking point.

What kind of country is this where Prince Andrew is ostracized from the Royal Family, loses a ton of privileges because of Epstein ties, but Lord ‘Petey’ Mandelson is rewarded with a US ambassadorship having pretty much the same ties?

This comes as Elon Musk has been torching PM Starmer over the ‘grooming gangs’ scandal.

There’s also the fact that the Labour party can’t be trusted: Trump and his team hosted Starmer and foreign secretary David Lammy for dinner, only for Labour then to sent out 100 activists to try to help Kamala Harris in the election.

The globalist “managerial” philosophy favoured by the European Union has lost, and Trump has “won”, a panellist at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos admitted.

A sombre mood appears to have descended upon the Swiss ski resort town. While the WEF typically hosts an orgiastic celebration of international elitism, this year’s festivities sit in the shadow of the inauguration of President Donald Trump and the rejection of neo-liberalism by the American people.

In a WEF panel discussion on the incoming administration, Yale University Professor Walter Reed said that the Davos class needs to understand “who’s won, which is Trump, but who’s lost, which is to say us.”

“Who is losing here is Europe. The European Union, and by and large, it’s member states, have misread the direction where events were going.”

“The causes that it is interested in; climate, human rights, some others, as well as the methods of diplomacy that it prefers, are simply being gradually kind of marginalized as something new --- not necessarily something better — but something new, moves into the centre.”

Professor Reed pointed to a general failing at the heart of the globalist philosophy, that modern man had somehow reached the “end of history” and, therefore, merely needed a group of international bureaucrats to manage and tinker with “incremental shifts”.

“That’s not how things work and especially not how things work at this kind of moment when a technological transformation is really biting into the economy on all kinds of levels in a transformational way,” he said.

Fellow panellist Graham Allison, a political scientist and Professor of Government at Harvard University, said, “Trump has done something no person in the world has ever done before; a dead man, a dead politician has risen.”

“This is the greatest comeback in political history of a politician and then, therefore, he thinks he can do anything. There’s a supreme confidence about that,” Prof Allison said.

“This is a phenomenon that we shouldn’t try to understand only in the terms that we’re traditionally accepting. We should say something strange, new, and amazing is happening here, and we should study it.”

Although Davos is usually the hot ticket for world leaders in January, Trump also undercut the WEF by becoming the first American president to invite international leaders to attend his inauguration in Washington, D.C., this week.

While rising right-wing political stars such as Argentine President Javier Milei and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attended the swearing-in ceremony, other leaders of American ally nations were not as fortunate.

One such leader who did not receive an invite was German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, whose leftist government collapsed the day after Trump’s victory in November and who is widely expected to be removed from power following the federal elections in February. Adding insult to injury, in another apparent slight to Scholz, Trump did invite top members of the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

This left the German Chancellor with the consolation prize of an appearance in Davos, during which he demonstrated his censorious leanings and chastised X boss and Trump ally Elon Musk for expressing his political opinions about Germany and Europe.

“We have the freedom of speech in Europe and in Germany. Everyone can say what he wants, even if he is a billionaire. And what we do not accept is if this is supporting extreme-right positions,” Scholz said at the WEF on Tuesday.

However, it is unclear how much sway the likely outgoing Chancellor has, with a reporter from leading German newspaper Welt Holger Zschaepitz sharing a picture seeming to show the audience at Scholz’s Davos appearance being half empty.

Rather than attend the event in person this year, as he previously did in 2018 and 2020, President Trump will address the meeting virtually on Thursday.

As many as one in 12 people in London is an illegal immigrant, a shock report has claimed.

The previously confidential study commissioned by Thames Water found that the 'irregular' population of the capital could be more than half a million.

It aimed to quantify the 'hidden' users of the utility firm's services to better meet demand.

Researchers at Edge Analytics used academic estimates of illegal migrants nationally as well as National Insurance registrations for non-EU foreign nationals over a nine-year period to estimate the numbers in each London borough.

The study produced a range of figures from 390,355 at the lowest to 585,533 at the highest with a median figure of 487,944.

It suggested most illegal migrants arrived in the UK on work, study or visitor visas then overstayed.

The report obtained by The Telegraph claimed there is estimated to be more than one million illegal migrants in the UK, with 60 per cent of them in England's capital.

'The law needs to be looked at so that spurious human rights, modern slavery and asylum claims cannot be used to delay or prevent removals of illegal immigrants.'

Richard Tice, the deputy leader of Reform UK, told The Telegraph: 'One in 12 people in London are here illegally, probably working illegally using taxpayer-funded public infrastructure and services. It is totally unacceptable.

'It's another reason why we need to properly control our borders.'

Yesterday it was reported that more than 1,000 migrants have crossed the English Channel in small boats so far this year, in a new record laying bare how Sir Keir Starmer is struggling to cope with the crisis.

Two dinghies carrying 129 people were spotted by Border Force vessels on Tuesday despite poor visibility - taking the provisional total for 2025 to date to 1,019 in 18 boats.

This means it has only taken 21 days this year for crossings to reach 1,000 - the quickest time on record.

Those on board were brought into the Port of Dover, Kent, after being taken onboard Border Force catamarans mid-Channel.

The latest numbers add pressure on the PM as he struggles to get to grips with the issue.

In November, Sir Keir said the government was prepared to pay governments in Vietnam, Kurdistan and Turkey to help stop the flow of illegal migrants to Britain.

Prince Andrew is set to face further humiliation this weekend when many of his secrets are spilled on national TV. Channel Five will dedicate two shows to the disgraced Duke of York this weekend, looking into two of his most damaging scandals.

Both shows air on Saturday night with Andrew, 64, advised to change the channel if he flicks onto Five - or hide behind the sofa. From 8pm on Saturday, the channel will air 'The Battle For Royal Lodge: Andrew vs Charles'.

This will look at King Charles's attempts to oust his brother from the huge royal property, thought to be worth £30 million. Andrew signed a 74-year lease in Royal Lodge over 20 years ago but Charles is keen for him to move to a smaller property, more in keeping with his lowly position within 'The Firm' after he was stripped of his titles and stopped being a working royal in 2019.

Andrew has managed to hold onto the home, which he lives in with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Last year he was able to fund his own security team after Charles removed his detail although mystery surrounds where he got the money from.

Channel Five said: "The future of luxurious Royal Lodge hangs in the balance. Home to disgraced Prince Andrew, King Charles is said to want him out. We uncover secrets behind those iron gates."

That programme will be followed at 9.30pm by 'Prince Andrew: Where Did All the Money Go?'. This ITN produced promises to dive "into the unclear waters of Prince Andrew’s finances, unravelling the intricate web of controversies, connections, and questions surrounding his wealth".

Central to this will be his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The show will look at how he has funded his legal bills and the unspecified pay-out - thought to be in the region of £12m - to trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre.

She claims to have had sex with Andrew three times after being trafficked by Epstein for that purpose. Epstein killed himself in a prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial while his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of child sex trafficking and other crimes in 2021 and is currently serving a 20-year sentence.

The shows come off the back of the latest crisis to engulf Andrew. His friendship with an alleged Chinese spy saw him effectively banished from the royal Christmas celebrations at Sandringham. Reports suggest he could quit the UK for good in an attempt to leave his murky past behind.

In the US, conservatives have long manifested distrust of the Murdoch media, be it Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, or Fox News, due to the perceived shift in editorial stance, as well as mixed signals that at times support common sense policies, and at times betray it in the name of Globalist narratives.

But in the UK, the grievances are perhaps even more serious, as power celebrities and players denounce rogue investigative tactics such as illegal hacking of phones and even burglaries.

Hollywood Reporter reported:

“Hugh Grant has urged U.K. police to open a new criminal investigation into Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers (NGN) in the wake of Prince Harry’s landmark settlement, saying the job is ‘not done by any means’.”

On Wednesday (22), Prince Harry settled out of court just as his trial against the publisher of The Sun tabloid was about to start.

He claimed his privacy had been violated ‘by alleged phone hacking and unlawful information gathering’ carried out by journalists and private investigators working for The Sun.

Besides the reported U$12M payment, NGN also offered the Duke a ‘full and unequivocal apology’.

“British star Grant -- recently nominated for a lead actor BAFTA for his performance in Heretic – also settled a privacy claim against NGN last year, later explaining he may have faced a bill of up to £10 million ($12.4m) – even if he had won. He had accused The Sun of using private investigators to tap his phone and burgle his house.”

But now the star is calling for further action to be taken, saying a civil case is ‘not the right instrument’ to get to the truth, as NGN is ‘gaming’ the civil courts to silence victims.

“’That’s what they’ve done consistently over the last 10 years’, the actor said. ‘They’ve spent £1bn to make sure these things are never looked at in court… and you don’t get proper judicial findings. I think what they’re terrified of is that those findings would trigger a new criminal inquiry’.”

Grant says a criminal investigation is required as people working at The Sun at the time of the alleged crimes were ‘still in great positions of power’.

“He added: ‘A lot of the foot soldiers for those newspapers have now come over to our side […] to say this is awful. We’ve been punished, we’ve been to prison, we’ve paid fines, we’ve lost our jobs. But the people who commanded all this, they’re still there’.”

He is now calling on Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and the Metropolitan Police to investigate it to the bottom.

Trump’s State Department halted funding for military aid to Ukraine for 90 days.

According to Politico, Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued new guidance on Friday to temporarily halt spending on most foreign aid for 3 months.

Military funding for Egypt and Israel will continue.

Deep state officials in the State Department were reportedly shocked after Marco Rubio issued the new guidance.

The new guidance is effective immediately.

“State just totally went nuclear on foreign assistance,” a State Department official said according to Politico.

Politico reported:

Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday issued new guidance halting spending on most existing foreign aid grants for 90 days. The order, which shocked State Department officials, appears to apply to funding for military assistance to Ukraine.

Rubio’s guidance, issued to all diplomatic and consular posts, requires department staffers to issue “stop-work orders” on nearly all “existing foreign assistance awards,” according to the document, which was obtained by POLITICO. It is effective immediately.

It appears to go further than President Donald Trump’s recent executive order, which instructed the department to pause foreign aid grants for 90 days pending review by the secretary. It had not been clear from the president’s order if it would affect already appropriated funds or Ukraine aid.

The new guidance means no further actions will be taken to disperse aid funding to programs already approved by the U.S. government, according to three current and two former officials familiar with the new guidance.

This is a stark contrast to the last few years under the Biden Regime.

Joe Biden and Congress sent nearly $200 billion in aid and military assistance to Ukraine.

In September, the Biden Regime announced an eye-watering $8 billion in military aid for Ukraine during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Washington.

This massive giveaway comes as Americans continue to face economic hardships, skyrocketing inflation, and an unprecedented crisis at the southern border.

Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Congress has approved nearly $175 billion in aid and military assistance for Ukraine.

An internal report ordered by Home Secretary Yvette Cooper risks taking counter-terror police’s eye off radical Islamism and tarring “significant swathes” of the public with the “far-right” brush, critics warn, as widespread concerns have been labelled extremist by the government.

‘Understand’, an internal report on counter-extremism ordered by senior Labour politician Yvette Cooper last year after the anti-mass migration riots following the Southport child murders, has been leaked and reveals how civil servants advise the government to widen the net of the security services radically.

The report, which was leaked to the Policy Exchange think tank, took an extremely dismissive attitude towards important issues facing the country while branding concerns about them as obsessions of extremists. Objections over so-called two-tier policing --- which is to say police treating various social, racial, and faith groups differently, in contravention of the concept of equality before the law — is an example of a “right-wing extremist narrative”. This attitude comes despite the idea of two-tier policing already being demonstrated as pretty widespread throughout the British public.

Policy Exchange warned: “There is an obvious risk here of tarring significant swathes of the public as Far Right. A similar danger may exist through the [review] categorising the Far Right as ‘hijacking extant local grievances about perceived inequalities around access to resources’.”

Meanwhile, the issue of so-called grooming gangs, the organised industrial-scale rape of young girls by predominantly Pakistani-heritage gangs in Britain’s regional towns and cities, is also airily dismissed by Yvette Cooper’s ‘Understand’. It states: “Right-wing extremists frequently exploit cases of alleged group-based sexual abuse to promote anti-Muslim sentiment as well as anti-government and anti-‘political correctness’ narratives”.

Policy Exchange drew attention to the fact civil servants felt the need to call it “alleged” abuse as if this was in question, as it dismisses any idea there may be any genuine concern about the rape of children among those holding right-wing views.

In an area of clear internal contradiction, if not outright hypocrisy, Policy Exchange also noted that the government document exhaustively talks about the danger of “extreme misogyny”, relating it to ideas like the “manosphere”, “Pick-Up Artists”, and “Incels”, but makes “little reference” to the perpetrators of some of the most horrendous violence against women in the UK in decades, those same Pakistani-heritage grooming gangs themselves.

Other areas of extremism name-checked included Hindu extremism, anarchism, and radical environmentalism.

Once someone is marked in the public eye as an Epstein friend or client, it becomes very difficult to cleanse their reputation.

Take, for instance, the very controversial Lord Peter Mandelson, the man chosen by failing UK Prime Minster Keir Starmer to be the next ambassador to the US: no matter how much time has passed, or how he has tried to whitewash his biography, there’s just no way his connection to Epstein is going to be memory-holed, even if ‘Petey’ throws tantrums when confronted with it.

It has arisen today that Lord Mandelson told a journalist very unceremoniously to ‘f*ck off’ when asked about his relationship with the late pedophile ‘financier’.

The Telegraph reported:

“When asked about his relationship with the financier by the Financial Times, Lord Mandelson said he did not want to discuss it.

He said: ‘I regret ever meeting him or being introduced to him by his partner Ghislaine Maxwell. I regret even more the hurt he caused to many young women. I’m not going to go into this. It’s an FT [Financial Times] obsession and frankly you can all [f*ck off]. OK?’”

Mandelson made the comments during an in-depth interview with The Financial Times as he prepares to take up his new role as Britain’s ambassador to the US.

“He had previously retracted his characterization of Donald Trump, the US president as ‘a danger to the world’, and insisted that he would approach the new administration with ‘respect, seriousness and understanding of where they are coming from politically.’”

PM Starmer’s spokesman declined to say whether it was appropriate for Lord Mandelson to tell the journalist to ‘f*ck off’ -- maybe they think it’s cool.

“Pressed on Sir Keir personally choosing Lord Mandelson for a ‘sensitive diplomatic job’, [the spokesman] said: ‘The Prime Minister made clear on the appointment the experience Lord Mandelson has to become the ambassador to the US. […] He’s widely respected, he’s got significant experience and will be an excellent ambassador to the US’.”

Mendelson added in the interview: “Some around Mr Trump see me as they view many in Europe. They see me as a Left-wing progressive, somebody who might even be anti-business or somebody who might be following the sort of liberalism they’ve just defeated in America. What they will discover is I’m not an uber-liberal, I’m not a wokey-cokey sort of person, and I’m pro-market and pro-business.”

The Washington Post reported Friday that the United Kingdom’s deep state has demanded that Apple create a back door for them to retrieve all the content any Apple user worldwide has uploaded to the cloud---what would be an unprecedented erosion of online privacy and civil liberties.

Citing anonymous sources, the Post reported that the British government’s undisclosed order was issued last month. It reportedly requires Apple to give officials blanket capability to view fully encrypted material.

Typically, Apple has assisted authorities on a case-by-case basis---such as helping the FBI access a terrorist’s phone, for example. The Post noted that the access sought by the UK “has no known precedent in major democracies.”

According to the Post, the UK’s order was made pursuant to the sweeping U.K. Investigatory Powers Act of 2016, which authorizes law enforcement to compel assistance from companies to access user data.

“The law, known by critics as the Snoopers’ Charter, makes it a criminal offense to reveal that the government has even made such a demand,” the Post reported.

“Apple can appeal the U.K. capability notice to a secret technical panel, which would consider arguments about the expense of the requirement, and to a judge who would weigh whether the request was in proportion to the government’s needs. But the law does not permit Apple to delay complying during an appeal.”

An Apple spokesman reportedly declined to comment. The Post reported that Apple is likely to stop offering encrypted storage in the UK.

“Yet that concession would not fulfill the U.K. demand for backdoor access to the service in other countries, including the United States,” the newspaper added.

Western countries, including the U.S., have been pushing for total access to online user data for years.

In March 2021, for example, former FBI Director Chris Wray told the Senate Judiciary Committee that encryption was stifling his agents from investigating domestic extremism.

According to Wray and other law enforcers, tech companies should be able to build “backdoors” into their encryption that preserves privacy, while allowing for access when necessary. That, they say, strikes the proper balance between data security and national security.

However, numerous tech experts, civil libertarians, and others say that it’s impossible to build a backdoor that can’t be exploited by hackers. They also say that by banning encryption, the United States would be following in the footsteps of authoritarian countries such as China, which blocked the encrypted messaging app Signal.

“It is important to understand that any kind of back door (or front door) access for the ‘good guys’ can also be exploited by the ’bad guys,’” the pro-industry Information Technology & Innovation Foundation stated in a July 2020 report.

“For example, key escrow systems would introduce new attack vectors that could allow attackers to gain access to encrypted information, such as by compromising the system that maintains copies of the keys.”

The former home of paedophile Jimmy Savile in the Scottish Highlands has been engulfed in flames.

A blaze was seen tearing through the notorious pervert's house as emergency services rushed to the scene.

Firefighters were called to the inferno in Glencoe, Scotland, just after 5.30pm on Saturday, The Sun first reported.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: 'We were called at 17:36 and have three pumps in attendance.'

Meanwhile, Police Scotland confirmed the area had been closed.

A spokesman said: 'The A82 is closed in both directions between Tyndrum and Ballachulish Bridge following a report of a fire at a property around 5.40pm on Saturday, 8 February, 2025.

'Emergency services are in attendance and drivers are asked to avoid the area.'

During the 13 years Savile owned Allt-na-Reigh he would often host guests there.

Famously he had the Prince of Wales around for dinner in 1999 and hired three waitresses in aprons with HRH sewn into them.

After Savile's death in 2011 the remote white-washed property stood frozen in time until police raided it a year later to hunt for evidence of his crimes.

The pervert's hairbrush, documents, ashtray and even his food were seen scattered around the empty home just as he left them.

Other rooms in the cottage contained bunk beds and a double bed all made up neatly with fresh bed linen.

The paedophile's former cottage has now turned into a dark tourist attraction for many walkers visiting the location.

But the building's poor condition makes it a health and safety concern.

Recent images from inside the lair, where Savile is believed to have abused 20 victims, show collapsed ceilings, smashed walls and piles of debris.

At one point, the property was whitewashed in a bid to deter vandals, however, words such as 'beast' and 'paedo' remain scrawled onto the exterior walls.

The house had been set to be demolished after failed redevelopment plans and years of vandalism - with councillors approving the demolition last July after it was called 'a stain on Scotland's most outstanding landscape'.

After Savile's death the small two-bedroom bungalow was put up for auction and purchased for £212,000 by someone who intended to move in.

The home was later bought by Harris Aslam in 2021, the director of Green's grocery chain.

All over Europe, heads of government are scrambling for a way to avoid the economically deadly tariffs due to be imposed by US President Donald J. Trump unless these countries walk the line.

In the UK, the failing Labour Government has rapidly let Washington know that it’s willing to rework the ‘Online Safety Act’ (a.k.a. online censorship in overdrive) in order to remain o the good side of Trump’s administration.

The Act, which ‘regulates online speech’, is despised by the president’s administration because not only does it thwart precious free speech, but it also can end up levying massive fines on US tech companies.

'The Telegraph reported:

“Downing Street is willing to renegotiate elements of the Act in order to strike a trade deal, should it be raised by the US, The Telegraph understands. The law has been heavily criticized by free speech advocates and economists, who argue its broad provisions to tackle harmful online content could lead to excessive censorship and deter investment from American tech giants.”

The censorship initiative submits social media giants to massive fines if they fail to remove ‘harmful content’ (a.k.a. content against their dreadful narratives) from their platforms.

Elon Musk’s participation in the administration and Trump’s friendship with major tech executives are expected to make his stance demanding free speech policies in other countries even tougher.

“Another source close to the Trump’s administration suggested the act was viewed as ‘Orwellian’ in the US and could become a flashpoint in negotiations. “To many people that are currently in power, they feel the United Kingdom has become a dystopian, Orwellian place where people have to keep silent about things that aren’t fashionable,” they said. ‘The administration hate it [Online Safety Act]. Congress has been saying that [it is a concern] ever since it was enacted. Those in the administration are saying the exact same thing’.”

Musk’s X is gearing up for a fight with the UK regulator Ofcom, which was supposed to be granted this new censorship superpower in the coming weeks.

“Mr. Musk has said: ‘Thank goodness Donald Trump will be president just in time’, in response to the new powers handed to Ofcom when the Online Safety Act comes into force in March.”

Britain’s laws on free speech are a complete joke, whereas in the US, the right to freedom of speech is enshrined in its Constitution.

Hundreds descended on the British capital to decry inheritance tax changes

Tractors blocked the streets around the Houses of Parliament in London on Monday as British farmers gathered to rally against the government’s plans to change the country’s inheritance tax policies. The changes will force many farms into bankruptcy, analysts say.

The policy announced in the budget by the ruling Labour Party last year will come into effect in April 2026, scrapping a longstanding exemption that meant no inheritance tax was paid to pass down family farms. According to the updated policy, agricultural assets worth over £1 million ($1.24 million) would be liable for the tax at 20% when handed down to heirs after the owner’s death.

The day-long tractor rally, organized by Save British Farming, was staged as British lawmakers debated an e-petition with nearly 151,000 signatures calling to preserve the current inheritance tax exemptions for working farm estates.

The protest is intended to protect the country’s food security, political commentator Katie Hopkins told RT, emphasizing that the farmers were not demanding subsidies or other state funding.

“They’re just asking to keep the farms they inherited from their parents so they could give them to their kids. They’re just asking to get up at five o’clock in the morning so they can feed the nation,” Hopkins said.

Much like previous rallies, the farmers entered Westminster on their tractors honking and holding signs reading “We all need a farmer,” ”Food security first,” and “Let’s stand together,” among numerous other slogans.

According to Dan Willis, one of the participants in the rally, land owned by farmers is not an asset for trade as it is used for growing crops and grazing livestock.

“We may sit amongst this massive asset, but without that asset, that’s how we earn our living,” he said. “Once you start taxing my tools, I can’t do my job, and I can’t pay any taxes.”

“Understand the basic mathematics of how they’ve got it so far wrong; it is unsurvivable from how we can move forward as it stands today,” Willis highlighted.

Tom Bradshaw, the head of the National Farmers Union, argued that the farmers do not object to paying taxes, but that they prefer to pay tax on produce “rather than a death tax, which is simply unaffordable and unacceptable.”

Amid protests in November, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer defended imposition of the controversial tax, arguing that the overwhelming majority of farmers would be exempt from the measure. Starmer also said that the government was taking “tough decisions that were necessary to stabilise our economy.”

The BBC’s recent article “Climate change: The Panama community that fled its drowning island,” claims that the island of Cartí Sugdupu in Panama is being swallowed by rising sea levels due to climate change.

This is false.

The reality is that the island’s inhabitants are not being forced to relocate because of rising oceans, but due to overcrowding, poor infrastructure, and a lack of resources---issues that have nothing to do with climate change.

Furthermore, real-world examples and peer-reviewed research contradict the idea that small islands are disappearing due to rising seas. Instead, many islands are growing, adapting, and naturally shifting over time. The BBC’s report is misleading at best, deliberately deceptive at worst.

Cartí Sugdupu is one of Panama’s San Blas Islands, home to the indigenous Guna people. The BBC’s article, painting a picture of climate-induced displacement, completely ignores the fact that the island is severely overcrowded, with more than 1,000 people packed into a tiny space of just 0.028 square miles. That’s a population density higher than New York City! The primary reason the residents are moving is not rising sea levels, but poor living conditions, lack of fresh water, and a shortage of space---issues that have been pressing for decades.

Instead of addressing these fundamental concerns, the BBC presents the relocation as a direct result of climate change, despite the absence of evidence that rising seas are responsible. The sea level around Panama has been rising at an average of about 1 to 3 mm per year, a rate consistent with natural post-Little Ice Age trends, a rate that has not increased during the recent period of climate change. As such, there is no indication of an impending climate catastrophe as described in Climate at a Glance. At this pace, it would take centuries before Cartí Sugdupu would face submersion.

Some new islands are even emerging.

For example in the article San Blas Reborn: New Islands Emerge Amidst Climate Change Hysteria it has been reported:

Off the coast of Maoqui in the Dutch Cays, a new island is gradually taking shape. What started as a mere speck of land, approximately 5 meters by 8 meters, has grown over the past decade to a remarkable 40 meters by 80 meters.

The BBC article implies that small islands like Cartí Sugdupu are being swallowed by the ocean, yet fails to mention peer-reviewed research demonstrating that most islands are stable or even expanding. A 2018 study published in Nature Communications examined 101 Pacific and Indian Ocean islands and found that 88 percent were either stable or increasing in size (Kench, Ford, and Owen, 2018). The processes that shape islands---sediment accumulation, reef growth, and dynamic land movement—mean that atolls and low-lying islands are not passive victims of sea level rise.

Tuvalu is a perfect example. Despite years of claims that the country would disappear, its total land area has actually grown by 2.9 percent over four decades. Similar observations have been made for islands in Kiribati, the Maldives, and the Marshall Islands. If these islands are growing or maintaining their size despite sea level rise, why would Cartí Sugdupu be uniquely doomed? The BBC refuses to acknowledge this inconvenient reality.

The real reason for the relocation of Cartí Sugdupu’s residents has nothing to do with climate change.

Instead, it comes down to basic infrastructure challenges:

Overpopulation -- As seen in the head photograph, the island is overcrowded, with nowhere to expand. Unlike coral atolls that naturally grow, Cartí Sugdupu is an isolated, heavily inhabited island with no room for additional housing or development.

Lack of Freshwater and Sanitation -- Many small islands struggle with freshwater availability. The BBC ignores this and instead attributes all hardships to climate change.

Economic and Government Decisions -- Panama’s government is relocating the residents as part of a planned move, not an emergency evacuation due to rising waters.

The BBC’s reporting is a prime example of climate alarmism dressed up as journalism, with the organization pushing a narrative, while ignoring crucial facts. Rather than investigating the real reasons behind Cartí Sugdupu’s relocation---overpopulation, lack of infrastructure, and government decisions—the BBC misleadingly claims climate change is forcing its residents to relocate. It is the government that has made that decision, and not because the seas are rising at a historically unusual rate. Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss told the audience at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that her country is "failing," and needs a MAGA-type movement to save it.

"We now have a major problem in Britain that judges are making decisions that should be made by politicians," said Truss, speaking from National Harbor, Maryland, and adding that the British judiciary is "no longer accountable" due to reforms by her predecessor, Tony Blair, who handed power over to an "unelected bureaucracy."

"There’s no doubt in my mind that until those changes are reversed, we do not have a functioning country. The British state is now failing, is not working. The decisions are not being made by politicians," Truss continued.

Truss also said that UK voters have grown increasingly angry because they keep voting for change - only to be let down over and over, including by current PM Keir Starmer.

"The same people are still making the decisions. It’s the deep state, it’s the unelected bureaucrats, it’s the judiciary," Truss said. "And I think what ultimately will happen, what I hope to see, is a movement like you have in the US with Maga [‘Make America great again’], with CPAC, with all these organisations, that ultimately pushes change we all want. We want to have a British CPAC."

Truss then said "We want Elon and his nerd army of muskrats examining the British Deep State!"

Truss's comments are emblematic of a growing right-wing movement across Europe - as voters in Germany, Austria, France and the Netherlands have been gravitating towards populism amid failed 'green' policies, unchecked immigration, and censorship policies that violate basic human rights.

According to the NY Times, which spoke with Europeans who voted for right-wing candidates, people cast their ballots "in fury, in frustration, in protest and perhaps most of all in a bid to bring change to a system they believe has failed to fulfill the contract between their democratically elected governments and the people."

They talked openly about nationalism, immigration, stagnant economies, the cost of living, housing shortages, anger at the elite and their countries’ perceived buckling to what many consider politically correct views.

Their voices offer a window into the choices Europeans may make in the year ahead. The main event will be a Feb. 23 snap federal election after the collapse of the governing coalition in Germany, where the far-right Alternative for Germany, or AfD, has made tremendous gains. Voters in Italy, Poland, Norway, Ireland, Romania and the Czech Republic --- all countries where populist movements are either well established or on the rise — are also expected to choose leaders on the local or national level.

Meanwhile, Nigel Farage's Reform Party is on track to win the next election.

Farage has notably slammed the impact of Net Zero on the British Economy, and says he's on a mission to "reindustrialize" Britain and achieve a "180 shift" in the country's policies.

There’s reason for cheer at Reform HQ this morning: Nigel Farage’s party is leading Labour in a YouGov voting intention poll for the first time. According to the poll, Reform UK leads on 25 points with Labour in second place on 24 per cent and the Conservatives in third on 21 per cent. Meanwhile, the Liberal Democrats are on 14 per cent and the Greens on 9 per cent. While there have been a handful of polls to date putting Reform in the lead, they have so far been regarded as outliers. To be publicly named -- and shamed – for having a longstanding ‘friendship’ with late pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein is like a bad smell that won’t go away.

Take, for instance, top banker Jes Staley, a high-flying professional in the finance world that has had his career derailed by his long and extremely problematic relationship with Epstein.

He was forced to resign as Barclays’ CEO under the weight of the Epstein scandal brought about when UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) concluded their two-year investigation on him.

In a previous report here on TGP, I wrote:

Former JPMorgan Chase top executive and Ex-Barclays CEO Jes Staley is facing a lifetime ban from senior roles in financial services, as well as a 1.8 million pound ($2.21 million) fine by UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The ban and the fine are for allegedly misleading the FCA over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Reuters reported:

But before he could even do that, he had to straighten his legal disputes with his former bank JPMorgan, which he did by reached a confidential settlement in September 2023, as part of an effort to resolve legal disputes tied to the bank’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

This came after the bank settled with the U.S. Virgin Islands Government for $75 million and spent another $290 million to settle a class-action lawsuit brought by Epstein’s sexual abuse victims.

So, today, in UK court, Staley’s lawyers have argued that he did not mislead the UK’s financial watchdog over his relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

This London court case is an attempt by the former banker to ‘restore his reputation’.

“Staley appeared in court flanked by his lawyers as his appeal against the Financial Conduct Authority’s intention to ban him from working in the UK finance industry indefinitely, and fine him 1.8 million-pounds ($2.3 million), began at London’s Upper Tribunal."

"The 68-year-old will next week be cross-examined over his relationship with Epstein, whose 2019 arrest for sex trafficking minors and subsequent death in custody brought scrutiny on the late financier’s many high-profile associates.”

A top academic and government advisor warns that the UK will experience a civil war within the next five years caused by the “destruction of legitimacy” brought about by the government’s failure to secure the border.

Professor David Betz made the comments during a podcast appearance with journalist and author Louise Perry.

Betz teaches at Kings College London and has advised or worked with the UK MOD and GCHQ as well as being a Senior Fellow of the Foreign Policy Research Institute.

The professor, who describes himself as a “classic member of the establishment,” told Perry that British society is now “explosively configured” to suffer mass unrest.

He said the fallout began with the fracture of the social contract after the political establishment in the UK tried to subvert the Brexit vote.

Subsequent years have brought about a “destruction of legitimacy” as a result of successive governments’ open border policy and their inability to protect children from grooming gangs, in addition to a two-tier justice system presided over by a highly-politicised judiciary.

“If you want to create domestic turmoil in a society, then what the British government has been doing is almost textbook exactly what you would do,” said the professor.

Betz said that the situation is now “too far gone” and that a national eruption which will outstrip last summer’s riots is likely to happen within half a decade.

Writing on his Substack, Paul Embery outlined some of the other arguments Betz made during the podcast that led the professor to make his fateful prediction.

Betz contends that we now live in a deeply fractured nation and one that has much less connection to those aspects of its history which previously made it content and well governed. The nefarious activities of certain individuals and groups serve to exacerbate and magnify our divisions.

So, can a society in which such realities are playing out be said to be destined for civil war? Well, here comes the interesting bit. Betz explains that highly-heterogenous societies (those comprised of many different social, cultural and ethnic groups) in which there is no single dominant cohort are not especially prone to civil war. That is because no group has enough power or status to co-ordinate a widespread revolt. Similarly, highly-homogenous, or ‘unfactionated’, societies are not particularly vulnerable on account of the fact that it is generally easy to arrive at consensus positions. The danger area, Betz asserts, is in the middle -- societies that are becoming more heterogenous and in which a previously dominant social majority fears that it is losing its place. In such societies, a nativist sentiment manifests in a narrative of what Betz calls ‘downgrading’ and ‘displacement’ – the most powerful causes of civil conflict. Throw in long-term structural economic decline and the apparent inability of the government to offer ‘bread and circuses’, and the sense of dispossession deepens.

He also addressed the phenomenon of ‘asymmetric multiculturalism’ in which ‘in-group preference, ethnic pride, and group solidarity -- notably in voting – are acceptable for all groups except whites, for whom such things are considered to represent supremacist attitudes that are anathematic to social order’. This ‘provides an argument for revolt on the part of the white majority (or large minority) that is rooted in stirring language of justice’.

On the surface, the United Kingdom would seem like the least likely country to be susceptible to mass civil disorder, but thanks to years of societal malaise and mass immigration, it unfortunately feels like we’re on the brink of experiencing just that.

Free crack pipes could be handed out by the crisis-stricken NHS - under a ‘reckless’ plan to encourage addicts to smoke cocaine more safely.

They would be issued by staff at The Thistle - which was opened seven weeks ago to allow users to inject hard drugs under medical supervision without fear of prosecution.

Now bosses of the £2.3million ‘safer drug consumption’ centre in Glasgow want to set up a special ‘inhalation room’ for smoking crack cocaine within the facility -- and hand out crack pipes.

Dr Neil McKeganey, director of the Centre for Substance Use Research, said: ‘The proposal to extend Glasgow’s so-called safe injecting site to enable users to inhale cocaine in the absence of any data showing that the centre is actually succeeding in reducing Scotland’s drug death toll is little short of utter recklessness and should be rejected on that basis alone.’

The free crack pipe plan was disclosed at a meeting of the Commons’ Scottish Affairs Committee, which is investigating the work of The Thistle.

Councillor Allan Casey, city convener for addiction services in Glasgow, said there were legal restrictions which prevented staff at The Thistle from offering drugs paraphernalia - and called for exemptions to be made to allow crack pipes to be issued.

He said: ‘The Misuse of Drugs Act prohibits us from giving people using the service tourniquets, for instance, and the other obvious thing if we’re looking at inhalation is providing equipment for smoking -- so pipes, for instance.

Bosses of the centre in the east end of Glasgow are lobbying the SNP government to allow them to set up an inhalation room for users to smoke crack cocaine -- which may fall foul of existing laws which prohibit smoking in public places.

Cocaine use has surged -- and now accounts for more than two out of five of total drug deaths in Scotland.

The Glasgow project comes amid spiralling drug deaths in Scotland - the highest per head of population in Europe

The facility - known as the Thistle - accommodates up to 30 service users at a time, 365 days a year from 09:00 until 21:00

Addicts are publicly smoking cocaine but managers at The Thistle want them to attend the centre where they can be medically supervised, and referred to other support services.

Smoking indoors has been banned in Scotland since 2006, but Mr Casey said work is being carried out to make the case for setting up a dedicated inhalation room. He said: ‘We have already raised the issue informally and verbally with the Scottish Government and government ministers, and we are in the process of preparing a case to put to government to try to see if there were exemptions in the legislation that would allow us to develop the inhalation space.’

The ‘safer drug consumption’ facility opened in January to allow addicts to inject their own heroin and cocaine under medical supervision - in a bid to reduce overdose deaths and discarded needles in public places.

Critics including some local residents had warned that the clinic in Hunter Street would become a magnet for dealers and anti-social behaviour.

Addicts have been using a supermarket car park to inject drugs - just yards away from The Thistle.

Some users have said they will not go to the centre because of distrust of the authorities and the need to get their fix immediately after buying drugs, without having to walk to Hunter Street.

Yesterday Dr Saket Priyadarshi, head of alcohol and drug recovery services at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and clinical lead at The Thistle, told MPs: ‘We would be very keen to be able to develop an inhalation room in the facility.’

Official figures in August showed drugs claimed the lives of 1,172 Scots in 2023 - an average of more than three a day and up 121 from the previous year.

Nearly £2,200 is being spent every week for each addict using The Thistle, while the Scottish Ambulance Service said paramedics had been called to medical emergencies at the clinic five times since it opened.

The Sentencing Council published new principles for courts to follow when imposing community and custodial sentences, including whether to suspend jail time, on Wednesday.

The updated guidance, which comes into force from April, details that a pre-sentence report would usually be necessary before handing out punishment for someone of an ethnic, cultural or faith minority, alongside other groups such as young adults aged 18 to 25, women and pregnant women.

The independent body said a greater emphasis has now been placed on the "critical role" of pre-sentence reports, with more detail on when judges should request for the information to be compiled ahead of sentencing decisions.

This includes details about the circumstances of the crime and the offender.

Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick said in the Commons: "The new sentencing guidelines published alongside this statement will make a custodial sentence less likely for those 'from an ethnic minority, cultural minority, and/or faith minority community'.

"Why is the Justice Secretary enshrining this double standard, this two-tier approach to sentencing? It is an inversion of the rule of law. Conservative members believe in equality under the law; why does she not?"

Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, replied: "As somebody from an ethnic minority background, I do not stand for any differential treatment before the law for anyone.

"There will never be a two-tier sentencing approach under my watch or under this Labour Government."

She later said she will be writing to the Sentencing Council to "register my displeasure" and "recommend reversing this change to the guidance".

Ms Mahmood added: "The Sentencing Council is entirely independent.

"These guidelines do not represent my views or the views of this Government."

The previous government was also consulted on the change during the consultation period between November 2023 to February 2024.

The Sentencing Council advises in a new section that effectiveness of a sentence depends on defendants' circumstances, and that rehabilitative sentences can be more effective in reducing re-offending than a short term behind bars.

It also adds new evidence for deciding sentences, for example for a young person, stating: "The disadvantages young adult offenders face in the criminal justice system may be compounded for young adult offenders from an ethnic minority background.

"For some offences, there is evidence of a disparity in sentence outcomes for offenders from some ethnic minority backgrounds."

Following the comments, chairman of the Sentencing Council for England and Wales Lord Justice William Davis said one of the reasons for the updated guidance was to make sure courts have the "most comprehensive information available" to hand out an appropriate sentence.

On pre-sentence reports, he added: "The reasons for including groups vary but include evidence of disparities in sentencing outcomes, disadvantages faced within the criminal justice system and complexities in circumstances of individual offenders that can only be understood through an assessment.

"Pre-sentence reports provide the court with information about the offender; they are not an indication of sentence. "Sentences are decided by the independent judiciary, following sentencing guidelines and taking into account all the circumstances of the individual offence and the individual offender."

Elsewhere, guidance that tells courts to "avoid" sending pregnant women or mothers of babies to prison has been welcomed by campaigners.

The guidance added: "For offences that carry a mandatory minimum custodial sentence, pregnancy and the postnatal period may contribute to 'exceptional circumstances' that could justify not imposing the statutory minimum sentence."

Reacting to the move, Janey Starling, co-director of feminist campaign group Level Up, said the changes are a "huge milestone" in the campaign to end imprisoning pregnant women and mothers, while lawyer Liz Forrester, from group No Births Behind Bars, said it finally recognises the "deadly impact" of prison on babies and pregnant women.

Lord Justice Davis said a sentence properly tailored to individual circumstances of the offender had the "greatest likelihood" of being effective.

He added of the updated guidelines: "It will ensure that the principles for imposing community and custodial sentences continue to be consistently and transparently applied by the courts and that such sentences are the most suitable and appropriate for the offender and offence before them."

Phil Goff, New Zealand’s high commissioner to the U.K. and his country’s most senior diplomat in London, was fired for comments mocking President Donald Trump at a London think tank event at Chatham House.

During remarks, he shared Winston Churchill’s speech from 1938 in which the British powerhouse blasted then-Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and his decision to sign the Munich Agreement with Adolf Hitler.

Goff smugly said to Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, “President Trump has restored the bust of Churchill to the Oval Office.”

Goff then condescendingly asked, “But do you think he really understands history?,”

Goff was clearly referencing the tension that erupted in the Oval Office between Trump and an ill-behaved and unappreciative Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Valtonen dodged the attempt to criticize Trump alltogether and instead remarked that Churchill’s remarks were “timeless.”

New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters fired Goff and, in remarks to the press, called the diplomat’s question “deeply disappointing.”

He added that it made Goff’s position as high commissioner to London ‘untenable.”

The HQ of the Commonwealth of Nations in London is 'abuzz with gossip' that Charles will ask Ukraine to join the 56 members of the bloc, despite the country having no ties to the British Empire

The King's private audience with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Sandringham could be followed by an even more striking gesture of goodwill.

A source at Marlborough House in London says the Pall Mall headquarters of the Commonwealth "is abuzz with gossip that Ukraine could be taken under the bloc's wing".

Although it is no more than a rumour at this stage, the timing is noteworthy ahead of King Charles marking Commonwealth Day on Monday. And with Donald Trump in the White House, Ukraine is never going to be invited to join Nato.

The well-connected Ephraim Hardcastle column in Friday's Daily Mail states: "With Ukraine's chances of joining Nato and the EU non-starters, Commonwealth membership might be easier since the relaxation of ties with the old Empire."

Mozambique became the first Commonwealth country with no historical ties to the United Kingdom when it joined in 1995, with Rwanda, Gabon and Togo all following.

Although an invitation to Kyiv would infuriate Russian warmonger Vladimir Putin, Hardcastle says: "The bloc is a talking shop with no military capacity and could prove an ideal sanctuary for a country out in the cold."

The Edinburgh Declaration in 1997 states that new members must have a constitutional link with an existing Commonwealth member state, which could prove tricky for Ukraine. But Hardcastle points out that the "secretary-general can cut through the red tape in 'exceptional circumstances'. Would Keir Starmer sign the nomination papers?"

The current secretary-general is Labour peer Baroness Scotland, who took office in 2016. Her role is leading the Commonwealth Secretariat, which brings together the governments of all 56 member states.

However, King Charles III is the Head of the Commonwealth of Nations and he has made no secret of his views on the war in Ukraine, with Zelensky's private audience coming just two days after his Oval Office spat with Trump and JD Vance.

The United States has told its allies that it does not plan to participate in military exercises in Europe, according to reports.

The move, the latest in Donald Trump’s pivot away from the bloc, would see America pull out of exercises beyond those already scheduled for this year.

The withdrawal concerns exercises that are on the “drawing board”, according to Swedish newspaper Expressen.

It means that Nato countries will be forced to plan exercises without the participation of the US military, the largest in the alliance.

Mr Trump has repeatedly criticised Nato countries for not meeting the current goal of spending two per cent of GDP on defence, arguing that the disparity puts an unfair burden on the United States.

On Friday, he warned that the US may not defend Nato allies who do not meet the spending target as part of a major shake-up of the alliance.

Mr Trump told reporters: “When I came to Nato, when I first had my first meeting, I noticed that people weren’t paying their bills at all, and I said I should wait till my second meeting.

“And I did. And I brought that up, and I said, ‘If you don’t pay your bills, we’re not going to participate. We’re not going to protect you.’

“And when I said that, as soon as they said that, it was amazing how the money came in, the money came in, and now they have money. But even now, it’s not enough. They should be paying more.”

It has also been reported that the Trump administration is redrawing Nato engagement in a way that favours member countries with higher defence spending.

The president is said to be considering prioritising military exercises with member countries that are spending the set percentage of GDP on their defence, officials told NBC.

“Nato has to pay more,” Mr Trump said in January after taking office. “It’s ridiculous because it affects them a lot more. We have an ocean in between.”

The Telegraph reported on Friday that Mr Trump is also considering pulling US troops out of Germanyand redeploying them to Eastern Europe.

He is understood to be weighing up withdrawing some 35,000 active personnel and moving them to Hungary.

For a former great power still trying to flex its military muscles around the world, the United Kingdom is woefully unprepared, with an Army that has ‘shrunk to its smallest size since the Napoleonic Wars’.

With only around 73,000 troops and - believe it or not -- only 40 combat-ready battle tanks, it turns out that the shortcomings are also plaguing the Royal Air Force (RAF), that is facing a pilot shortage after a diversity hiring scheme unsurprisingly backfired.

An internal document has revealed that the RAF needs a much higher number of pilots for training.

The Telegraph reported:

“The Air Force is so short-staffed that candidates who were previously rejected are being urged to reapply, as well as older applicants who have experience in ‘flying-related roles’.

The pleas come as Sir Keir Starmer reiterated the UK’s willingness to put ‘boots on the ground and planes in the air’ to help Ukraine secure a peace deal.”

Unpopular Labour PM Keir Starmer, following the European defense craze, a boost in military spending to 2.5 percent of GDP by 2027.

“The RAF now needs a ‘higher number of pilots in training’, according to a document seen by the Daily Mail. Air chiefs want the gaps filled by those who may have previously been rejected.

[…] Mark Francois, the [Conservative] shadow Armed Forces minister, told the paper: ‘The RAF’s availability of combat pilots has been hit by a perfect storm: including woke manipulation of recruiting practices, the revival of civilian airlines post-Covid and technical issues with training aircraft, particularly engine reliability on the Hawk T2. All this really matters. If we are now going to see ‘jets in the sky’ defending any Ukrainian peace deal, then we need enough trained pilots to fly them.”

Absolutely no-one is surprised that the diversity drive led to a shortage of qualified personnel. It was, of course, found to be unlawful to white male would-be recruits.

The air force’s commitment to having 40 percent women and 20 percent of personnel from ethnic minorities by 2030 is, of course, unattainable.

Recently, after the speech of Vice President J.D. Vance in Munich, various European leaders went public to express their shock and disbelief that they would be accused of rolling back on free speech. For many of us, it was a laughable display of denial, particularly from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

In a country that has eviscerated free speech, Starmer told Bret Baier that the UK “guards” free speech and “we don’t believe in censoring speech.”

Now, the government is continuing this month with its effort to regulate and criminalize speech.

The effort to crack down on “Islamophobia” could create a type of blasphemy standard if it encompasses criticism of the faith or its practices.

Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has announced that the government will be further cracking down on hate speech with a new working group tasked with defining ‘Islamophobia’.

The free speech community is raising the alarm that the effort is likely to further broaden the government controls over speech.

It was announced last week that Rayner’s working group would be chaired by former Conservative attorney general Dominic Grieve KC, who has himself admitted that defining Islamophobia while safeguarding free speech is ‘extremely difficult.’

Notably, Grieve wrote the foreword to the 2018 All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) report on Islamophobia, which advanced a definition that many critics argue is far too broad.

The APPG included criticism of Islamic beliefs and practices as examples of Islamophobia.

It has been condemned for treating criticism of the faith as a type of hate speech.

For years, I have been writing about the decline of free speech in the United Kingdom and the steady stream of arrests, including in my book, The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.

A man was convicted for sending a tweet while drunk referring to dead soldiers. Another was arrested for an anti-police t-shirt. Another was arrested for calling the Irish boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend a “leprechaun.” Yet another was arrested for singing “Kung Fu Fighting.” A teenager was arrested for protesting outside of a Scientology center with a sign calling the religion a “cult.”Last year, Nicholas Brock, 52, was convicted of a thought crime in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The neo-Nazi was given a four-year sentence for what the court called his “toxic ideology” based on the contents of the home he shared with his mother in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Judge Peter Lodder QC dismissed free speech or free thought concerns with a truly Orwellian statement: “I do not sentence you for your political views, but the extremity of those views informs the assessment of dangerousness.”

Lodder lambasted Brock for holding Nazi and other hateful values:

“[i]t is clear that you are a right-wing extremist, your enthusiasm for this repulsive and toxic ideology is demonstrated by the graphic and racist iconography which you have studied and appeared to share with others…”

The fear is that an expanded hate speech law that includes criticism of Islamophobia will operate like a British blasphemy law.

In 2008, the common law offences of blasphemy and blasphemous libel were abolished in England.

This new effort could constructively restore such prosecutions as they relate to Islam.

Britain's intelligence establishment reportedly started "rationing" what info to pass on to the US after Trump's election, and his thrashing of Zelensky at the White House last month has sparked talk of a 'breakaway' 'Four Eyes' intel-sharing pact. Sputnik reached out to a leading US military intel specialist for details on what this could entail.

Sources told The Mail on Sunday that while joint work intercepting electronic communications could be ‘hard to disentangle’, human intelligence by agents on the ground could be held back from being shared with the US, especially “raw intelligence, which can be very exposing of sources if it falls into the wrong hands.”

Diplomatic sources, meanwhile, told the newspaper that the US intelligence establishment is “in a state of panic” over Trump’s approach, and actively destroying files on assets in Russia.

Five Eyes Without US is Nothing

“The US share is huge,” retired US Army Lt. Col. Earl Rasmussen told Sputnik. “There’s very little the remaining Five Eyes would have without the US,” the observer noted, highlighting that America provides:

The UK ramping up intel cooperation with France and Germany

As for the Five Eyes’ “global reach, the fusion of information, the mass experience, the analytical tools that are commonly operated…almost all the major ones have either been operated completely by the United States, or via a shared operation with the United States and another [country],” the observer summed up.

The United Kingdom and Australia appear to be seeking to avoid repeating the mistakes of fellow Anglosphere American ally Canada of antagonising President Donald Trump, saying that while they regret steel tariffs, they nevertheless would not be reciprocating.

While the likes of Canada and the European Union have taken a combative path, deciding to match Trump’s tariffs or even go further in a bid to --- as they see it — win against America, close allies the United Kingdom and Australia have taken a more subtle approach.

Although Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom---alongside New Zealand—are all strongly tied to the U.S. through the world’s closest intelligence alliance, America, the UK, and Australia are further bound in the ‘AUKUS’ submarine alliance, adding a further industrial aspect to the friendship.

London called President Trump’s 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminium “disappointing” but said it would not retaliate. The UK government’s business secretary, Jonathan Reynolds, said they intended to “continue to engage closely and productively with the U.S.” and to press the case for British interests. This means being “focused on a pragmatic approach” and “rapidly negotiating a wider economic agreement with the U.S. to eliminate additional tariffs and to benefit U.K. businesses and our economy.”

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is on a mission to sign a major trade deal with the U.S., something which had been on the table during the last Trump administration but which the incapable former Conservative government in London failed to grasp before the coming of the Anglophobic Biden presidency.

The tariffs on metals also mean less to the United Kingdom. Once the global powerhouse for steel production, the country has rapidly de-industrialised and steel is no longer a meaningful part of the economy. This dependence on imports --- and particularly on China — has frequently been cited as a national security concern, but worry has never reached a level where the government has actually been moved to act meaningfully.

Australia, meanwhile, once ruled from London, and then bound close by former dominion status and common racial and cultural heritage with the United Kingdom, appears to be taking a similar approach of being friendly to Trump while negotiating for preferential treatment as an ally.

While Australia put up the token resistance of decrying tariffs in general as unjustified and harmful, nevertheless, the country said, “Australia will not be imposing reciprocal tariffs on the United States”. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the country is working on getting the same deal they got in 2018 when Trump exempted the country from tariffs then because Australian steel is a major U.S. employer.

These moves contrast severely with fellow Commonwealth state Canada, which has tried to square up to the Trump White House, only to be hit even harder with tariffs.

The UK government is already preparing for the potential of more riots this summer by making available hundreds of extra prison cells.

Following last year’s riots in response to the Southport attack, the government made an example out of those involved, including by imprisoning people who had merely posted offensive comments on social media as well as “inaccurate information” about the attack.

Given that prisons were already overcrowded, measures were activated that saw some existing prisoners, including ones locked up for violent crimes, released after serving just 40% of their sentence to make room for thought criminals.

Despite there being no actual intelligence concerning more riots in the upcoming months, the government appears to be expecting them anyway.

“Hundreds of extra makeshift cells and newly refurbished cells will be in use by the end of this year,” reports the Guardian.

According to the justice minister, James Timpson, prison capacity needs to be available without the need to enact emergency measures like early release.

“We need to be prepared for the capacity that would be needed if we had the riots, the civil disobedience, [we saw] in the summer. We’re clear there are no more emergency measures to do. We just need to make sure we use all of the operational levers we have,” he said.

As we previously highlighted, Professor David Betz, a top academic who has advised both the US and UK governments, warned recently that the UK is “explosively configured” for mass civil unrest.

Betz said that the government is undergoing a “destruction of legitimacy” as a result of increasing anger at their inability to defend the border from a deluge of illegal immigrants, in addition to their inability to protect children from grooming gangs.

“If you want to create domestic turmoil in a society, then what the British government has been doing is almost textbook exactly what you would do,” said the professor.

Betz said that the situation is now “too far gone” and that a national eruption which will outstrip last summer’s riots is likely to happen within 5 years.
