‘Theft’ of sovereign assets now US government policy – Moscow

President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that frozen Russian funds will be leveraged to support Ukraine

Washington’s use of the proceeds from frozen Russian assets to repay a $20 billion loan to Ukraine shows that the US has advanced “theft” to the level of government policy, the Russian Embassy in the US has said.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced a “historic decision to leverage Russian sovereign assets to support Ukraine.” The US will provide Kiev with a $20 billion loan as part of a broader $50 billion G7 package, he said in a press release.

The day before, both the EU and UK announced loans of their own, similarly to be repaid via interest from Russian funds.

The use of windfall profits from blocked Russian assets will provide Ukraine assistance “without burdening taxpayers,” Biden said.

As Kiev’s biggest war sponsor, Washington says it has provided Ukraine with more than $64 billion in military assistance since the escalation of the conflict in 2022.

The Russian Embassy in the US noted the use of the word “historic” in the White House press release, commenting on the statement on Thursday.

These types of Western measures have been rejected in the international arena, the mission added.

“The neocolonial deals of a small group of countries led by the United States have long and deservedly aroused a sharp rejection by the global majority,” the statement said.

“The results of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, which confirmed the need for multilateral efforts to build a truly independent financial architecture that would be protected from such blatant illegal actions, are the clearest proof of this,” the embassy stated.

On Wednesday, the leaders of BRICS countries slammed the illegal sanctions and their damaging effects on the global economy and trade, as one of the points in the extensive joint Kazan Declaration. They called for the elimination of these “unlawful unilateral coercive measures,” as measures that are “inconsistent with rules” of the WTO undermine the UN Charter and destabilize the multilateral trading system.

Western countries sanctioned an estimated $300 billion in sovereign Russian assets soon after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict, blocking the assets in Western financial institutions.

Despite US pressure to confiscate the funds entirely, the IMF has thus far opposed the move over fears that it could undermine global trust in the Western financial system. Moscow has said it would view this as “theft” and would retaliate in kind.

Former Trump administration Department of Justice official Jeff Clark said Wednesday that he cannot find evidence that Vice President Kamala Harris ever personally led the prosecution of a single case at the local or state level.

“I’m looking to see whether she actually ‘first-chaired’ a trial, ever,” Clark told The Charlie Kirk Show on the Real America’s Voice network. “Otherwise, it’s really misleading to call yourself some kind of ace prosecutor.”

Harris frequently refers to her prosecutorial career as a major qualification for the presidency. As she often says in her stump speech:

As many of you know, before I was elected as Vice President, before I was elected as United States Senator, I was the elected Attorney General as I’ve mentioned to California, and before that I was a courtroom prosecutor. In those roles, I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type.

There are records of her appearing in the courtroom, though not always for the better. Actor Jamal Trulove, who was wrongly convicted of murder in San Francisco when Harris was the district attorney, has said that she appeared in court when the verdict was read, and “bust out laughing.” He said he was only dimly aware of her during the trial.

Clark has been researching through legal databases online, and has solicited help from the public on social media. He said that while there is some evidence that she made appearances during some cases, there are no trial transcripts that yet show Harris led the prosecution in any particular case, or that she argued cases at the appellate level.

Harris failed the California Bar exam the first time she took it. She got her start in politics thanks to assistance from her boyfriend, Willie Brown, a California power broker who had been mayor of San Francisco and Speaker of the California State Assembly. Brown later admitted that he made sure Harris was appointed to two state boards.

As a local prosecutor, Harris was known for botching prosecutions while pursuing low-level offenders, such as the parents of truant schoolchildren or people arrested for marijuana possession. She infamously refused to seek the death penalty for a murderer who shot an off-duty policeman, Isaac Espinoza. As California Attorney General, she was known for pursuing a pro-life filmmaker and for trying to force conservative nonprofits to reveal their donors.

As a Senator, Harris made a name for herself by attacking Republican nominees at the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Clark was targeted by the January 6 Committee, ostensibly for his efforts to investigate allegations of voter fraud.

WASHINGTON – Last week, Senator Rand Paul sent a letter seeking additional information and calling out the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) for participating at a cybersecurity conference on Election Day.

Springsteen Won’t Save Kamala With The Working Class

Tonight, Barack Hussein Obama and Bruce Springsteen will take the stage alongside Kamala Harris in Georgia — a desperate, last-ditch effort to salvage her spiraling campaign.

Relying on celebrities is nothing new for the party of Hollywood elites — and as voters realize the depths of Kamala's incompetence and radicalism, she needs an added draw. But it's certainly an indication of just how far out of touch Democrats are with the working class.

For Springsteen, it's a betrayal of his wannabe working class persona. In his endorsement video for Harris-Walz, Springsteen denigrated President Trump as a "dangerous" man who "doesn't understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American."

That's news to the people with whom Springsteen grew up — and the working class Americans so often portrayed in his music. A majority of voters in Monmouth County, New Jersey — where Springsteen was born, raised, and still resides — supported President Trump in 2020. In his current hometown of Colts Neck, New Jersey, voters backed President Trump by a two-to-one margin.

If nothing else, Springsteen's appearance is an acknowledgement he is deeply out of touch with the working class of which he claims to be part. Rank-and-file union members across the country are backing President Trump in record numbers as Democrats — and their policy centered around wealthy, coastal elites — abandon everyday American workers.

For years, Democrats have gotten rich as they sold out American workers through unfair trade, environmental obsessions, and an embrace of illegal immigration that has killed jobs and raised prices.

Then, after years of unkept promises, President Trump stood up and delivered for American workers — and he'll do it again in his second term.

Democrats' chickens are coming home to roost.

Just don't expect Obama, Springsteen, or Kamala to notice.

The vaccine booster shots have to be the same as the vaccines themselves because it takes forever to do clinical trials and get approval for something different.

So if you take a booster shot, these figures show that you are giving yourself an even faster progressive form of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (after a couple of months of effectiveness).
