Shibuilder Newport News Shipbuilding, Va., informed the Department of Justice of faulty welds that may have been made intentionally on non-critical components on in-service Navy submarines and aircraft carriers, USNI News has learned.

HII reported to the Navy that welds on new construction and in-service submarines and Ford-class aircraft carriers were made not following welding procedure, according to a Tuesday memo from Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition Nickolas Guertin to Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti.

Guertin told SECNAV and CNO the workers did not follow proper techniques to weld the suspect joints with an early indication that some of the welding errors were intentional. Based on the Newport News assessment of the welds, the shipyard notified the Department of Justice over the issue.

Portions of Guertin’s memo were first circulated on social media sites on Thursday.

Newport News acknowledged their internal quality assurance systems discovered production problems in a Thursday statement to USNI News

“We recently discovered through internal reporting that the quality of some welds did not meet our high-quality standards. Upon this discovery, we took immediate action to communicate with our customers and regulators, investigate, determine root cause, bound these matters and insert immediate corrective actions to prevent any recurrence of these issues,” reads the statement.

“HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding is committed to building the highest-quality aircraft carriers and submarines for the U.S. Navy. We do not tolerate any conduct that compromises our company’s values and our mission of delivering ships that safeguard our nation and its sailors.”

The Navy acknowledged the ongoing look into the scope of the welding problem in a Thursday statement to USNI News.

“The Navy is aware of the issue and a thorough evaluation is underway to determine the scope. The safety of our Sailors and our ships is of paramount importance. We are working closely with industry partners to address this situation and will provide additional information when available,” reads the statement.

The Department of Justice did not immediately respond to a request for additional information from USNI News on Thursday on the probe into the welds.

Newport News is one of two nuclear shipyards in the U.S. The yard builds the Ford-class aircraft carriers and the bow and stern sections of the Virginia-class attack submarines and the Columbia-class nuclear ballistic missile submarines in cooperation with General Dynamics Electric Boat.

Shipbuilders across the country have been wrestling with ongoing workforce problems due in part to a green labor pool that was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt of Missouri addressed a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland Thursday demanding that the Department of Justice (DOJ) hand over internal communications with special counsel Jack Smith regarding his latest superseding indictment of the former president.

Schmitt criticized Smith’s indictment in the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump as well as the DOJ’s renewed interest in the “Russian election interference bogeyman” as evidence of political weaponization, according to the letter. Schmitt is urging Garland to provide relevant information regarding Smith’s latest superseding indictment on the Trump 2020 election case, as well as the DOJ’s most recent indictments against Russian nationals.

“I write to express my disappointment with two political decisions by the Department of Justice in recent weeks,” the letter states. “These decisions do not seem thought out and threaten to continue to turn the DOJ into a ‘political weapon.’”

“Yet, the DOJ is blatantly ignoring norms and for the first time in our nation’s history prosecuting its political opponents—not only while votes are being cast but also with a constitutionally suspect prosecutor,” the letter continues.

Smith’s initial indictment against Trump over the classified documents case was dismissed due to his “improperly appointed” post as special counsel. Despite his alleged unconstitutional appointment, Smith was allowed to oversee the January 6 investigation and was permitted to file the most recent superseding indictment in the Trump 2020 election case.

Schmitt requested any communications DOJ officials had with Smith in the aftermath of the presidential immunity Supreme Court decision as well as communications after Trump-appointed District Judge Aileen Cannon found Smith was unconstitutionally appointed to his position, according to the letter.

“If Smith’s appointment to oversee one of the cases is unlawful, then so is the other,” the letter states. “Moreover, the lawfulness of Smith’s appointment is currently on appeal at the Eleventh Circuit. DOJ, by allowing Smith to remain as special counsel, is flouting the only judicial decision we have on the lawfulness of his appointment and ignoring the fact that his position’s legal status is in limbo before a federal appellate court.”

“I want to be crystal clear, Russian interference—or interference from any foreign actor—has no place in our election,” the letter states.

“After President Trump’s complete exoneration from the Mueller investigation into the 2016 election and the verification of the Hunter Biden laptop following its suppression in 2020, I fear this may be 2024’s attempt to roll out the same old playbook—use arms of the DOJ to scare the American electorate into believing the Russian collusion hoax to advance its preferred candidate,” the letter continues.

The letter criticizes the decision to indict Trump right before mail-in ballots were sent out in key states, with Schmitt likening this to the “election interference” the DOJ had focused on.

Schmitt questioned whether Smith’s most recent superseding indictment that was filed against Trump this close to the election was an example of misconduct or dereliction of duty, which would allow Garland to remove him from office, according to the letter.

“While a federal judge has a ruling against his constitutional authority to act, the DOJ has, imprudently, acquiesced to Jack Smith’s rabid, political prosecution of President Trump,” the letter states. “His continued action has created a miniature constitutional crisis as a man with highly suspect constitutionality to act is like a dog after his bone antagonizing the Republican nominee for President (and a former President of the United States). He must be leashed.”

Special Counsel Jack Smith filed evidence in the January 6 case in his latest attack against President Trump.

With 40 days to go until the presidential election, Jack Smith sent Judge Tanya Chutkan evidence in the January 6 case.

Judge Chutkan will decide whether to release the filing to the public.

President Trump’s attorneys are expected to object to the release of the filing.

The size of the filing was not disclosed, however, Judge Chutkan granted Jack Smith’s request to file a 180-page ‘opening brief’ on President Trump in the January 6 DC case.

Jack Smith knows he can’t get to trial before the election so he is trying to release a “hit piece” on Trump in the January 6 case as he addresses the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling.

Trump’s attorneys previously asked Chutkan to deny Jack Smith’s request to file a 180-page opening brief because it is quadruple the page limit in DC.

“The Motion is a new development illustrating the unprecedented and irregular nature of the Office’s approach on remand, as they are seeking permission to file a document that would quadruple the standard page limits in this District. The Office cites no case in which such relief was granted, just as they cited no authority for the previous request to file a free-standing brief relating to Presidential immunity that is not responsive to a pending defense motion,” Trump’s lawyers wrote in a 9-page court filing reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

Filings from special counsel Jack Smith laying out never-before-seen evidence in the election subversion case against Donald Trump – including interview transcripts and notes from an investigation that counted among its witnesses former Vice President Mike Pence, Ivanka Trump and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows – are now in the hands of a federal court.

It will now be up to District Judge Tanya Chutkan to determine how much of that evidence the public gets to see and when they will be able to see it.

Prosecutors filed the documents under seal as of 4:40 p.m. ET, according to Peter Carr, the special counsel office’s spokesman.

New York appeals court judge calls Trump’s $454M civil fraud judgment ‘troubling’

A panel of New York appeals court judges appeared skeptical about the gargantuan $454 million civil fraud judgment Donald Trump was dealt after he was found liable for business fraud — with one jurist calling it “troubling.”

The former president is attempting to reverse or reduce the judgment of $354 million — plus an additional $100 million in interest — after a judge sided with New York Attorney General Letitia James, who argued in a lawsuit Trump inflated his net worth by billions to get better loan and insurance terms.

Trump’s lawyers, who have called Judge Arthur Engoron’s February ruling “draconian, unlawful, and unconstitutional,” appeared before a five-judge panel on a Manhattan appeals court on Thursday to plead their case.

Some judges appeared receptive to changing the bond.

Judge Peter Moulton questioned if James’ lawsuit turned into “something it was not meant to do.”

Moulton added the “immense penalty in this case is troubling.”

Trump attorney D. John Sauer argued that James’ lawsuit stretched New York consumer protection laws. There were “no victims” and “no complaints” about Trump’s businesses from lenders and insurers, Sauer claimed.

The lawyer claimed the case was “a clear-cut violation of the statute of limitations,” noting transactions used in the non-jury trial.

If the verdict is not overturned, he warned, “people can’t do business in real estate” confidently.

Trump, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing since James first brought the suit against him, was not present.

Engoron ruled that Trump, his company and top executives including sons Eric and Don Jr. deceived banks by inflating Trump’s wealth on financial statements — allowing them to obtain favorable loans which they used to reap profits.

Trump’s legal team said the initial requested bond was “unprecedented for a private company,” and said posting full amount was a “practical impossibility.”

In a brief submitted in July to the Appellate Division — the mid-level state appeals court — Trump’s lawyers argued that the financial statements he submitted to banks actually understated his wealth, and there was no indication that any of the lenders were financially harmed.

His legal team has also claimed James’ suit against Trump was politically motivated.

The Appellate Division typically rules about a month after arguments wrap up — meaning a final decision could come before Election Day on Nov. 5.

Three of the five judges who heard Thursday’s arguments must agree in order to alter the outcome.

If the court rules against Trump, the former president can appeal to New York’s highest court and, potentially, the Supreme Court — though that would mean a final decision would come no sooner than 2026.

The former commander in chief has vowed to fight the case “all the way up to the US Supreme Court if necessary.”

A social media account run by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been repeatedly deceptive.

The @KamalaHQ account, which has more than 1.3 million followers on the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has made a habit of misleadingly clipping and inaccurately captioning video clips to attack former President Donald Trump.

The Harris campaign deploys @KamalaHQ as a kind of irreverent attack dog, using jocular posts to draw attention to controversial, incorrect, or dubious comments by Trump and his allies. But the account, which the Harris campaign calls its “official rapid response page,” has itself made inaccurate comments on multiple occasions.

Below are eight examples of false or misleading video posts from the account since mid-August, including three from the latter part of this week. All of them have previously been highlighted by an anonymous rebuttal account called @KamalaHQLies, which itself has more than 268,000 followers.

A former FBI specialist who was politically persecuted for questioning January 6 lies said during a hearing with lawmakers on Capitol Hill that Americans should stock up on food and prepare for hardship.

Marcus Allen, a former FBI staff operations specialist, told the Judiciary Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government that he was deliberately targeted by corrupt higher ups for asking why there were so many federal informants in the crowd at the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

“The FBI questioned my allegiance to the United States, suspended my security clearance, suspended my pay and refused to allow me to obtain outside employment or even accept charity,” Allen testified

NASA’s BioSentinel Studies Solar Radiation as Earth Watches Aurora

In May 2024, a geomagnetic storm hit Earth, sending auroras across the planet’s skies in a once-in-a-generation light display.

These dazzling sights are possible because of the interaction of coronal mass ejections – explosions of plasma and magnetic field from the Sun – with Earth’s magnetic field, which protects us from the radiation the Sun spits out during turbulent storms.

But what might happen to humans beyond the safety of Earth’s protection?

This question is essential as NASA plans to send humans to the Moon and on to Mars.

During the May storm, the small spacecraft BioSentinel was collecting data to learn more about the impacts of radiation in deep space.

“We wanted to take advantage of the unique stage of the solar cycle we’re in – the solar maximum, when the Sun is at its most active – so that we can continue to monitor the space radiation environment,” said Sergio Santa Maria, principal investigator for BioSentinel’s spaceflight mission at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley.

“These data are relevant not just to the heliophysics community but also to understand the radiation environment for future crewed missions into deep space.”

BioSentinel – a small satellite about the size of a cereal box – is currently over 30 million miles from Earth, orbiting the Sun, where it weathered May’s coronal mass ejection without protection from a planetary magnetic field.

Preliminary analysis of the data collected indicates that even though this was an extreme geomagnetic storm, that is, a storm that disturbs Earth’s magnetic field, it was considered just a moderate solar radiation storm, meaning it did not produce a great increase in hazardous solar particles.

Therefore, such a storm did not pose any major issue to terrestrial lifeforms, even if they were unprotected as BioSentinel was.

These measurements provide useful information for scientists trying to understand how solar radiation storms move through space and where their effects – and potential impacts on life beyond Earth – are most intense.

The original mission of BioSentinel was to study samples of yeast in deep space.

Though these yeast samples are no longer alive, BioSentinel has adapted and continues to be a novel platform for studying the potential impacts of deep space conditions on life beyond the protection of Earth’s atmosphere and magnetosphere.

The spacecraft’s biosensor instrument collects data about the radiation in deep space.

Over a year and a half after its launch in Nov. 2022, BioSentinel retreats farther away from Earth, providing data of increasing value to scientists.

“Even though the biological part of the BioSentinel mission was completed a few months after launch, we believe that there is significant scientific value in continuing with the mission,” said Santa Maria.

“The fact that the CubeSat continues to operate and that we can communicate with it, highlights the potential use of the spacecraft and many of its subsystems and components for future long-term missions beyond low Earth orbit.”

When we see auroras in the sky, they can serve as a stunning reminder of all the forces we cannot see that govern our cosmic neighborhood.

As NASA and its partners seek to understand more about space environments, platforms like BioSentinel are essential to learn more about the risks of surviving beyond Earth’s sphere of protection.

SpaceX and NASA Crew 9 Mission Prelaunch and Launch

SpaceX and NASA are targeting no earlier than Saturday, September 28 for Falcon 9’s launch of Dragon’s ninth operational human spaceflight mission (Crew-9) to the International Space Station from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous launch is at 1:17 p.m. ET, with a backup opportunity available on Sunday, September 29 at 12:54 p.m. ET if needed.

Mass conscription in the country is producing recruits whoare too old, sick and drunk to fight Russia, the magazine has reported

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky's so-called ‘victory plan’ is being undermined by the reality that his nation does not have enough manpower or resources to prevail over Russia, The Economist reported on Thursday.

Zelensky is currently visiting the US to promote his proposal, which reportedly boils down to the West increasing its backing in terms of cash and weapons so Kiev can continue fighting.

The British magazine described the dire situation affecting the Ukrainian economy and dwindling military manpower. Unlike Moscow, which is fielding volunteers, Kiev relies on forced conscription, it noted.

”Officers complain that many of those drafted into service are ill-suited to fighting: too old, too ill, too drunk.There is no clear path out of the army once in it, which makes being mobilized seem like a one-way ticket to the morgue,” The Economist said.

”Some 5-10% of soldiers on active duty are absent without leave,” it added, noting that “==fewer than 30% of Ukrainians consider draft-dodging shameful.”

There is a generational gap, with younger men eligible for military service being far less inclined to support Zelensky’s uncompromising stance, compared to those too old to be recruited, the report added.

In a separate editorial article on Thursday, themagazine accused Zelensky of “defying reality”with his military strategy, warning that he would “drive away Ukraine’s backers and further divide Ukrainian society” if he keeps pursuing it.

Ukraine needs to redefine victory over Russia as “becoming a prosperous, Western-leaning democracy,” after making concessions for the sake of peace. In return for “embracing this grim truth, Western leaders need to make his overriding war aim credible by ensuring that Ukraine has the military capacity and security guarantees it needs,” it suggested.

Moscow has stated that NATO’s intention to draw Ukraine into its ranks was one of the key triggers for the hostilities. Its vision for a stable peace includes a cap on Ukraine’s military strength and its non-alignment. Kiev agreed to those terms during peace talks in the early phase of the conflict, but then reportedly made a U-turn at the West’s suggestion.

Ukraine is 80% dependent on Western aid – defense minister

Kiev’s plans for 2025 will require support from partners to have a chance of success, Rustem Umerov has said

Ukraine is almost entirely dependent on Western military assistance to continue fighting Russia, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has acknowledged.

In an interview with the Ukrainian newspaper Livyi Bereg on Tuesday, Umerov addressed criticism that the ministry has too many employees working in the field of international cooperation, stressing that aid from Kiev’s partners “is the basis of our assistance.”

“Our colleagues deal with armaments and military equipment with colleagues from the United States, Europe, the Security Assistance Group-Ukraine, the International Donor Coordination Center, etc. These are procurement and logistics contracts. We are 80% plus dependent on our partners,” the minister said, adding that those tasked with handling this aid have so far been successful.

Asked what Ukraine’s main goals are for next year, Umerov said Kiev seeks to strengthen its defense capabilities andmake sure that “all operations that we have planned for 2025… are carried out.” He noted that those operations could include striking deep inside Russia with long-range weapons.

“We have everything planned, and now we just need the support of our partners. Money, in particular,”the minister added.

Umerov’s remarks on the extent of Ukraine’s dependence on the West came after Mikhail Podoliak, a senior adviser to Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, saidKiev had to “wrangle”deliveries from the West through extremely complicated talks. “This is absolutely, I would say, psychoanalytical work with people who are used to not making decisions,” the official said.

Zelensky has repeatedly criticized Western backers for refusing to provide Ukraine with all the necessary equipment to fight Russia, and for their reluctance to approve strikes deep inside Russia with foreign-made weapons.

Russian officials have repeatedly denounced Western arms shipments to Ukraine, arguing that they only prolong the conflict.Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Kiev’s military would collapse within a week if the flow of Western aid were cut off.

Former Donald Trump prosecutor Nathan Wadewas served a congressional subpoena Thursday after evading service of the summons for nearly a week.

The House Judiciary Committee issued the subpoena against Wade last Friday, demanding that he provide closed-door testimony as part of the Republican-led panel’s investigation into Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis’ prosecution of the former president.

Wade, who was forced off the Trump case after his workplace romance with Willis came to light, apparently went into hiding after the subpoena was issued, refusing to accept service until Thursday, a source familiar told The Post.

Six days after the subpoena was issued by the committee, Wade called the US Marshals and finally made an appointment for service, ending the standoff, the source said.

Earlier this week, aspokesperson for the committee characterized Wade’s evasion as “extremely unusual.”(He's screwed and he knows it, when the Marshal's said they were hunting him, he shit his pants.)

As Zelensky looked on, Biden, 81, told reporters in the Oval Office that his Kyiv counterpart had “shared a preview of [his] plan to win this war” and thatthe US would bankroll the effortto defeat Russia’s nearly three-year-old invasion — moments before Trump posted a private letter from Zelensky seeking a meeting to social media. “Today I’m proud to announce a new $2.4 billion package of security assistance. I’ve also directed the Pentagon to allocate all of the remaining security assistance funding that has been appropriated to Ukraine, period, by the end of my term, which is Jan. 20,” Biden said before Zelensky separately met with Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee.

The White House said Biden was releasing $2.4 billion from the Pentagon’s Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative to spend on drones, ammunition and air defense, andapproving $5.5 billion worth of US military equipment using “presidential drawdown authority” ahead of the end of the fiscal year Monday.

It’s unclear exactly how much congressionally appropriated money remains to be spent — though $3 billion in additional drawdown authority recently found due to a Pentagon accounting error remains unspent, Reuters reported.

Russian cosmonaut returns to Earth after completing record-breaking 1,111th day in space

Veteran Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko has returned to Earth after a record-breaking year-long stay onboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The 60-year-old spaceman has now spent 1,111 non-consecutive days in orbit, which is longer than any other astronaut in history — and will likely remain unbeaten for many years.

Kononenko, who turned 60 in June, returned to Earth inside Russia's Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft on Monday (Sept. 23), alongside fellow cosmonaut Nikolai Chub and NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson, according to Live Science's sister site Space.com.

The trio touched down in the steppe of Kazakhstan around 3.5 hours after undocking from the ISS.

The two cosmonauts, or Russian astronauts, had spent a record-breaking 374 continuous days onboard the space station, narrowly beating NASA astronaut Frank Rubio who inadvertently completed a 371-day stay on the ISS last year after his return craft was damaged.

Dyson, meanwhile, returned after spending 184 days in space.

Kononeko first broke the record for most cumulative days in space in February, when he surpassed the 878-day haul of compatriot Gennady Padalka, who set the record in 2015.

Kononeko has flown on five different missions to the ISS since 2008, which is how the spaceflight veteran racked up his impressive total.

"Thanks to all my crewmates for your friendship. It has been a great time and pleasure to work and spend time together here as a big family on board the International Space Station," Kononenko said as he was leaving the ISS.

"Right now I am leaving my second home."

During his cumulative time in space, Kononenko has completed roughly 17,800 trips around Earth and spent more than 44 hours in the vacuum of space across seven different spacewalks.

To put these numbers into perspective, Kononeko is single-handedly responsible for around 1.5% of the total time spent in space by more than 600 people, since the first human space flight was accomplished by Kononeko's compatriot Yuri Gagarin in 1961.

One record that Kononenko has not beaten during his stellar career is the longest continuous stay in space, which is held by Valeri Polyakov, who spent 437 days on Russia's former Mir space station between 1994 and 1995.

During Kononeko's most recent visit, 14 different spacecraft arrived at the ISS, including Boeing's infamous Starliner rocket, which recently returned to Earth without astronauts after suffering multiple helium leaks.

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been stranded in space as a result, and the latter has just taken over command of the ISS from Kononenko.

It is unclear whether or not Kononenko will make any more trips into space.

He has not yet announced his retirement but has previously admitted that spaceflight is "becoming more complicated" and that preparing for missions "has not become easier" over time.

But even if he does retire soon, his record will likely stand for a long time as the next 10 astronauts on the list of most cumulative days in space are either inactive or dead.

The next active astronaut on the list is Russia's Sergey Prokopyev, who has spent 567 non-consecutive days in space, but it is unlikely that he will break the record before Russia fully withdraws from the ISS by 2025.

However, cosmonauts will likely visit China's recently completed Tiangong space station in the future as part of the two countries' joint mission to build a base on the moon by 2035.

An American is unlikely to break Knononeko's record before the ISS is deorbited and crashes back to Earth in 2030, largely because NASA does not generally allow its astronauts to stay in space as long as Russian cosmonauts.

For Kononenko, his record is a nice achievement but has not been the prime motivation for his long lasting career.

"I fly into space to do my favorite thing, not to set records," he said in February after breaking the cumulative spaceflight record.

Capt. Kristine Kovacs, formerly 4th Space Operations Squadron Weapons and Tactics, and Specialist 4 Jack Wallace, 4th SOPS Tactician, Exercise and Integration, spearheaded an initiative within the 4th SOPS and Space Delta 8 to integrate Saber Astronautics’ Space Cockpit Battle Management System as their Common Operating Picture on their operations floors.

This allows Barbara Golf, the U.S. Space Forces Space-Combined Joint Force Space Component Commercial Integration Office director, to share non-classified Joint Commercial Operations commercial space domain awareness data, including electro-optical, radar, passive RF observations and orbital positioning data to feed this COP through the Unified Data Library.

“With the addition of the near real time data flow from the JCO, operators have situational awareness of orbital threats and more time to make critical decisions,” Wallace said.

“For the first time, crews can better visualize and understand the pattern of life of satellites in vicinity of their wideband and protected satellites.”

In addition, tacticians can now show their leadership when other satellites maneuver, perform rendezvous and proximity operations or come close to their satellite communications constellations.

DEL 8 uses Space Cockpit-customized dashboards, and constellation monitors to independently track and monitor their space-based assets and the activity within their respective orbital regimes.

This provides them a tailored approach to domain awareness and allows them to set specific alert parameters to bring their attention quickly to an asset that may be at risk.

The Space Cockpit Battle Management System also provides modeling and simulation capabilities to develop courses of action, maneuver plans and strategies to minimize risk to their assets.

In 2020, U.S. Space Command established the JCO cell to augment the National Space Defense Center’s mission to protect and defend the space domain by leveraging commercial capabilities to provide timely, non-classified SDA and alerting services.

Today, the JCO operates 24/5 in partnership with 18 nations to monitor high interest satellites for threatening activity and disseminate alerts.

“Use of non-classified commercial data allows for transparency and collaborative data sharing,” said Anne Konnath, JCO Integration lead.

“The JCO is working closely with allies and commercial owner operators of high value assets to ensure they, too, are armed with real time understanding of activity in the vicinity of their assets.

The JCO works with allied and commercial satellite operators to host JCO Live Fly exercises three times per year.

The exercises provide realistic threat scenario simulation to allow satellite operators to use JCO Notice to space operators and their COP to become proficient in recognizing threat activity and then “tell the story” of what’s happening in orbit so they can make informed decisions and rapidly execute their strategies to preserve freedom of action in space.

Through the innovative process of incorporating commercial data into daily operations and conducting exercises to help train operators on how to best apply that commercial data, Guardians at DEL 8 are better prepared provide protected and assured Military Satellite Communications to joint and coalition warfighters during peacetime and throughout the full spectrum of conflict.
