Hundreds of doctors resign from British Medical Association over its support for puberty blockers
Hundreds of U.K. doctors are resigning from the British Medical Association over its opposition to a ban on puberty blockers for kids, accusing the union of ignoring evidence-based medicine and failing to represent its members' views.
According to reports in The Times and The Telegraph, hundreds of doctors are not only going public to express their anger with the British Medical Associations’ decision to reject the Cass Review’s findings on the dangers of puberty blockers – and many are resigning.
According to The Telegraph: “Doctors with decades of experience have resigned from the British Medical Association because of the union’s opposition to the Cass review.”
As I reported earlier in this space, on August 1 the British Medical Association – the U.K. doctor’s union – called on the government to lift the ban on puberty blockers for minors and called for a pause on the implementation of the National Health Service’s Cass Review.
Initially, 1,000 senior physicians from across the U.K. responded by publishing an open letter to chairman of the BMA, Professor Philip Banfield; that number is now up to 1,400, with 900 of those being BMA members. Among their accusations is that the 69-member council passed their policy at a “secretive and opaque” meeting.

Former President Donald Trump once again stokes rumors about Justin Trudeau in his new book by claiming that Fidel Castro could be the Canadian prime minister's father.
Trump put the rumor in print, weeks after saying in a podcast interview that 'they say he's the son of Fidel Castro, and could be.'
Trump has also previously said Trudeau's mother Margaret slept with all of the Rolling Stones, according to a former aide – a story Mick Jagger referenced in a tour stop in Canada, that Trump also stirs up in his book.
Trump recycles the claims in his forthcoming coffee table tome, 'Save America,' which features pictures of him during and after his time in office, along with captions about particular moments.
'Justin Trudeau and I got along very well, but there were natural differences in that he is very Liberal, and I, to put it mildly, am not,' Trump writes, according to an excerpt obtained by DailyMail.com.
'It will be very interesting to see how we do in the future, but first, I have to get there (back to the White House).'
Trump adds: 'His mother was beautiful and wild. In the 1970s, she would go “clubbing” with the Rolling Stones, but she was also somehow associated with Fidel Castro. She said he was “the sexiest man I’ve ever met,” and a lot of people say that Justin is his son.
'He swears that he isn’t, but how the hell would he know! Castro had good hair, the “father” didn’t, Justin has good hair, and has become a Communist just like Castro,' Trump wrote.

This was awkward.
Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff, who is best known for denouncing ‘toxic masculinity,’ was out in West Michigan on Thursday campaigning for his wife.
Emhoff delivered remarks to a small crowd at the Broadleaf Brewery in Kentwood, Michigan.
“Her plan is to create an opportunity economy, right, where everyone has an opportunity to succeed,” Doug Emhoff said of Kamala Harris.
“We want to have a great economy that focuses on all of us. We want to have clean air to breathe. We want less weapons of war on our streets that are killing young people in our schools,” he said echoing the same old Democrat talking points.
Kamala Harris is currently in office so why doesn’t she do this now?
At one point Doug Emhoff tried to start a “USA” chant but the Democrat voters were not interested.
Joe and Kamala’s Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo (standing to the left of Emhoff) couldn’t bring herself to enthusiastically chant either.
Democrats hate America.
