In 2021, the Christian Employers Alliance (CEA) filed a lawsuit (https://drupal-files-delivery.s3.amazonaws.com/public/2021-10/Christian-Employers-Alliance-v-EEOC-Motion-10-19-21.pdf) against the EEOC over two mandates requiring religious employers to provide health insurance that covered gender transitions as well as forcing religious physicians to perform sex-change procedures or face charges of discrimination based on gender identity. The District Court of North Dakota ruled (https://adflegal-live-drupal-files-delivery.s3.amazonaws.com/2024-03/Christian-Employers-Alliance-v-EEOC-2024-03-04-Order-Summary-Judgment.pdf) in favor of the CEA, arguing that the rules would violate an employer’s or doctor’s religious freedom.
The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which represented CEA, argued that not only did the mandates require employers and doctors to cover and perform sex-change procedures, but it also demanded that they speak positively of them even if they objected.

"The brother of the illegal migrant charged with brutally murdering Georgia nursing student Laken Riley has ties to a dangerous Venezuelan gang responsible for a terrifying wave of violence in the Big Apple, according to new court documents. Diego Ibarra, 29, was arrested for carrying a fake green card that he used to get a job at the University of Georgia, the same campus where his 22-year-old brother, Jose, is accused of murdering Riley while she was out for a run. Prosecutors say Diego appears to be affiliated with the Tren de Aragua gang, known as TdA, based on his tattoos, attire and use of gang signs in social media pictures.
The gang was described in court docs as being responsible for recent violent confrontations with law enforcement and civilian victims in New York and elsewhere throughout the United States. That allegedly includes a string of violent phone robberies in New York City, where moped-driving members are accused of being those seen dragging victims to the ground to snatch their devices.
Ibarra has tattoos linked to the gang, including a five-point crown on the left side of his neck and a five-pointed stars on the right side of his neck, according to documents filed Wednesday at the US Middle District of Georgia.
Tren de Aragua was formed in the mid- to late 2000s in the Tocoron prison in Aragua, Venezuela, where it gets its name, according to the court documents."

Many have speculated that Joe Biden was hopped up on something during Thursday's State of the Union. Whatever stimulation he received before taking the podium, it wasn't enough to stop him from calling Laken Riley by the wrong name and proclaiming that women have "electrical power," among other flubs. Somehow, things managed to get much worse on Friday. After an ill-advised impromptu presser on the tarmac of Joint Base Andrews, the president traveled to Pennsylvania for a campaign rally. Let's just say the upper wore off, leading to perhaps his most senile speech yet.

A stomach bug that causes violent diarrhea and vomiting is still surging throughout the country, particularly the northeast, health officials have announced.
The latest CDC data update shows that 16.5 percent of tests given to hospitalized patients in the northeast came back positive for norovirus at the beginning of March - nearly a three percent increase from a month earlier.
This is up from just four percent in November, when the outbreak started.
Cases are also rising throughout the rest of the US, with 15 percent of swabs now detecting the virus compared to nine percent in November.
