I feel conflicted going into the final season.
Part of me is glad the show is getting a definite ending so that it doesn't overstay it's welcome anymore than it already has. The show deserves a clear ending and we won't have to suffer though it becoming a walking corpse in the same way that happened to the Simpsons.
On the other hand, I can't help but feel sad and have a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach knowing that the ride is truly almost over. Sure, maybe the show isn't as comfy as the early years, but a lot of the elements are still there.
G5 could be good. It could also be complete shit. Even if Hasjew manages to do a good job with G5, it still won't have the same feel. G4 was lightning in a bottle, and the explosion of creativity it spawned on the internet will never be replicated by any show. The memes and shitposting, the music, the art, the videos, the fanatics, the animations, the autism, and the titanic amounts of porn. This really was a unique thing, and its something that can't ever be recreated.

I genuinely think it was decent. Part of that may be because when I first saw it, I was several months into my first ever job and was paying for most of the rent and utilities for the first time in my life, and things have marginally improved for me personally since 2017 even with it being the same mediocre shit wagecuck virgin mom-lives-with-me-because-we-both-have-low-paying-jobs life.
I was at least able to take myself and my two nieces then ages 6 and 11 to the My Little Pony movie, my treat, with concessions that Saturday with their dad driving us up when I offered it a week ahead of time.
The songs were pretty gnarly, especially "Open Up Your Eyes".

That was pretty lame. They won just because they believes they could. Even all, or most, of the power of friendship or power of love creating a magic asplosion or magic beam didn't work that easily. The only other time I can think of is when Cadance and Shining Armor defeated Queen Chrysalis because love. I don't recall if there was anything more to it than that.
