Okey dokey, so here's the deal:
Due to numerous channels broadcasting episodes outside of the "official" Discovery Family schedule, it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of what's out and various channels look to be airing the entire season by September. Thanks to the clusterfuck, I've created this sticky, covering the remaining episodes of season 8. This will be our central repository of links and discussion going forward. As episodes become available they will be added to the OP, and I ask kindly that any anon who has links for the listed episodes post them so they can be added.
I don't like situations like this. I think it kills the fun of everyone getting together on a Saturday morning and experiencing some goddamn cartoons together. I can only hope that situations such as these are avoided entirely for season 9. I would hate for the very end of our show being aired early in Finland or some stupid shit.

The first episode of the entire season that I can say is decent. Somehow a Glimmer episode manages to be the best of the season so far. How sad. All the episode even was is "marysue (who surprisingly wasn't this time) and smug magician get stressed while traveling and a merchant tries to sell them a carriage".

Was Ashleigh sick that day and they couldn't be bothered to have her come in another time to do the voices? Or is everything just sounding off because it's the aussie rip that may have been stretched imperfectly in software to counter the speed-up?

I really liked the episode, Starlight and Trixie's song is my favorite one in Season 8 so far, and the conflict isn't centered around some shitty, low-grade-evil antagonist (Gladmane, Flim Flam, Neighsay) or some ridiculously little thing that gets blown over the top (Non-Compete Clause, Horse Play, Maud Couple).
Nope, just two friends on a roadtrip who never had to suffer each other's presence under more trying conditions. it feels natural for them to slowly get on each other's nerves, and it's not too far fetched for Starlight to trade away Trixie's wagon for a bigger one without realizing the sentimental value it holds to Trixie.

Two minutes in the show, maybe, they spent around a day in Somnambula, during which Starlight wasted Trixie's bits, Trixies wasted their time waiting in a line, then they had to suffer through a night of restless sleep because of the other's snoring/sleep talking. They could make an exception to the "no mudponies in the royal guard" thing they have going and make him a drill instructor.

Have him help archeologists by having him explain what all the shit they dig up is, what it was used for and in general be an archeologists wetdream (a living witness to the time they study), instead of making him do their digging for them.
Ship him off to a rockfarm.
Or hell, why not make actual use of his shovel skills by making him a construction worker or a miner?
But I suppose a competent male character would be too much of a threat to the rest of their cast…

Season 8 is over. As everyone expected, the finale was a disappointment.
Neighsay is >reformed, and le evil foal mastermind OC Edgy Glow is defeated by the Power of Friendship (((DIVERSITY))) before bring locked up in Tartarus.
Unintentional lesson of the day is always hang your traitors before your enemies. If that niggerlover Sandbar hadn't done anything, then either Cosy Glow or Neighsay might have saved the Friendship School and the rest of Ecuckstria from eternal diversity.
Maybe next season's first two-parter will bring an axe down on the tree of diversity. For now, I think it's safe to say that Season 8 was by far the worst season this show has ever seen.

Actually he's from an old-ish Nickelodeon TV show, called House of Anubis. I tried watching it somewhat recently because I remember liking it back in the day, but I couldn't make it past the first episode (which I had actually never seen because I had the show was merely a silly drama and didn't give a shit; still hated the romance subplots) because Nina, the main character, says some really retarded shit, and she cannot act. Hopefully she improves but whatever. I would recommend at least the first season simply because it does have an interesting story and characters, as far as I can remember (I think the fanbase was mostly girls but I knew one other kid who liked it; I didn't use the internet back then; looking now it does appear like something young girls on tumblr might like, simply because of the romance mixed up with an interesting plot), though my taste was not developed at the time. That character is Victor, who I remember liking the most. Every time Francis Magee, his actor, would appear in something, I'd (still do) jokingly say Victor was there (he played in History Channel's Bible series as King Saul for example, and there's a scene where he's pissing in a cave :^) he was also in Rogue One. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one :^) ).
Seriously though I remember hating the romance because it was so fucking boring. I mean, I don't mind a little, because they're highschoolers, it is to be expected. But I often felt there was a bit too much, though they sort of needed it to pad things out. Of other shows I enjoyed, there was Unnatural History on CN. I watched through some of the episodes again recently and a lot of the errors that I felt when I first watched them became clearer. Still a fun watch though.

The little gags and jokes are fine, but the overall plot is fucking retarded.
Neighsay was retarded for thinking the diversity 6, a bunch of fucking students, have enough ability or motivation to drain Equestria of its magic.

On one hand, there's the SJW agenda pushing bullshit with EVERYCREATURE and "Racism Is Bad m'kay" when the races, when the races this "racism" is being pointed against are Griffons (a species made up almost entire of assholes), dragons (most of whom are openly hostile if not outright violently so, to ponies), Yak's (who are not only prone to irrational outbursts of violent rioting, but DECLARED WAR ON EQUESTRIA LESS THAN A YEAR AGO in the show), Changelings (who where actively trying to destroy the country and enslave or murder all its citiczens, also less than a year ago in show) and those retarded hippogriffs that noone gives a shit about.
Being skeptical of some of these creatures and their intentions is hardly baseless xenophobia.
So when they try to make the height of evil, racism, into the main motivation of the antagonists, and desperately want to show how it exists within otherwise normal ponies, the end result is flaccid compared to past villains like, the evil alicorn who threatened eternal night, the lord of chaos who threatened to plunge the country into anarchy, the changeling alicorn who tried to take over the country with an invasion, the mindless cloud that would use magic to make everyone not happy or something, the centaur who tried to steal all magic so he could burn the world or the insane cult leader/marxist who tried to brainwash and steal twilights power. Compared to that, the tiny kid and evil bureaucrat who used mean words to others doesn't really seem like a threat you need the mane 6 to deal with, do they?
Secondly, making the main villain an ordinary foal severely undermines any drama or tension when her master plan can be foiled by smacking her bottom, telling her to knock that shit off and sending her to bed without supper.
The entire master plan was just the scheme used by the underwear gnomes.

On top of these minor flaws, there's also the Dukat problem. Neighsay is fucking right about twilights school being a threat to the country.
First its students spark a diplomatic incident that threatens to spark several wars, it would most likely have done so AGAIN when the students got lost in the basement noone knew about if they hadn't been able to escape on their own, it ends up not only harbouring the main villain and her scheme, but shitty security around the artefacts that are all national treasures from other countries that they brought in for a fucking scavenger hunt end up supplying the main villain with exactly what she needs to put her plan into action. Without access to the basement noone ever came near AND the artefacts being kept under essentially no security whatsoever, Cozy could never have done anything. The entire plot and threat to equestria's security boils down to Twilight being completely incapable of running her school properly. Just and Neighsay said, but he refused to use the EVERYCREATURE pronoun so no one listened to what he said.
