Lets say you got some pests, lets call them "squirrels", and these squirrels are driving you insane. They're constantly running around on the eves troughs just above your window, scurrying around, chattering, GNAWING their way into the attic. It sounds like they're already in the attic (or is that just in my head?)

Anyway, how would you go abouts dealing with these hypothetical squirrels? Sometimes I just want to go out on the street and shoot them (wtih a pellet gun or something), but I don't want to get gunned down by police over squirrels.

Does poison work? If so, what kind?

Fuck yeah. TSD.

How would you set that up on a 2 story roof though?

I'm not being ironic when I say hypothetical squirrels. I haven't actually seen the bastards. I just hear them all the time. I saw a god damned raccoon on my roof once. Could be fucking anything up there.

>>13620778

And just leave it on the roof? How would I put the cat on the roof in the first place? There's already neighborhood cats and they aren't doing shit to help the squirrel situation.

Let it chill outside. The neighborhood cats dont have incentive to squirrel hunt but if you bond with your own cat it will defend your home.

I don't think cats work that way. Besides, if it's inside bonding, it's not outside squirreling.

Maybe I should ask my neighbor for squirrel advice. They're Hatians or Somalis or something (can't tell by looking, and their language is so alien I dont even know what it sounds like).

Only time I talked to them was when they kept leaving trapped squirrels in their yard that were going crazy.

I wonder if they had squirrel problems, or were just doing some urban forraging. Maybe they're the reason the neighborhood cats aren't doing their job (seen a lot of missing cat posters too).

probably just mice. one mouse sounds like a bear rummaging around in a wall. two make more noise than a bulldozer

set some victor snap traps with peanut butter and see if they yield

I'm all too familiar with the sound of mice in the walls. What ever these are, they're big.

I've poked my head into the attic a few times because they're so loud I was sure they had infiltrated, but nope, it's coming from the roof.

Just putting peanut butter on the traps isn't good enough. The fittest/luckiest mice will lick the trap clean over and over. Fix a piece of solid bait with the thin wire from a twist tie or something to the trigger for better results.

I bought a tube trap from Amazon, works great. I killed about 20 last year. Use pnut butter and pnuts for bait. "Tube Tunnel Squirrel Trap" $44

The more I think about this, the more I'm convinced the neighbors have something to do with it.

>never had squirrel problems before they arrived

>who even are these people?

>why were they trapping squirrels in the first place

>pest control? food? live specimens?

>if pest control or food, why did the squirrel problem get worse?

>i live specimens, for what purpose? Voodoo?

>where did all the cats go?
