Western countries have been tumbling into hyper authoritarian police states with joke justice systems for quite some time. I'm not at all surprised that people would decide to violently correct judges that abuse them. When the law is evil, being a judge means being evil in a highly visible way.
The article mentions family court, which is notoriously corrupt and biased while also inflicting horrendous punishments against men on little, no, or even against evidence. Its not a shock that judges committing these crimes are being punished.
The good that might come from this sort of thing would be a more polite and professional police force and a judiciary that cares about the laws they must uphold actually passing basic standards of sense and decency. All for the same reason, being afraid of getting shot in the head by someone they've wronged. Its sad that it should come to violence in order to focus their attention on conducting themselves like human beings.
