Pope Francis presided over the Catholic Church for more than a decade. The pontiff had suffered a number of health issues in recent years, with his health becoming increasingly frail.
Bells ring out across Rome to honor Pope Francis
Bells have tolled in church towers across Rome after the announcement of the death of Pope Francis, who suffered from chronic lung disease.
The pontiff, who had part of one lung removed as a young man, was admitted to Gemelli hospital on February 14, 2025, for a respiratory crisis.
The issue developed into double pneumonia and he spent 38 days there, the longest hospitalization of his 12-year papacy.
He was seen on Easter Sunday at St. Peter's Square in the Vatican to deliver a blessing and rode through the crowd in the Popemobile.

Except the gospel of Matthew doesn't say that the Pharisees follow Christ into the wilderness. It says that the slanderers followed Christ into the wilderness. The Greek word for slanderer is diabolos. Deceitful Catholic translators translate this word into english as "Devil". So in the KJV, instead of saying that the slanderers followed Christ into the wilderness it says that the "Devil" followed Christ into the wilderness.
They also do this in the book of Job. The word "Satan" is just the Hebrew word for "accuser". "An accuser accused Job of impiety" is turned into "Satan accused Job of impiety".

Also, in the bible, angels don't have wings, aren't immortal, don't live on clouds and can't fly. The word "angel" is just an old testament word that means "prophet". In fact, in the old testament, the word "prophet" and the word "angel" are both translations into english of the same Hebrew word, Malak (Strongs 4397). When a Catholic scholar is translating the old testament into English, whenever they see the word Malak they then flip a coin, and if it comes up heads they translate the word as "prophet" and if it comes up tails they translate the word as "angel". There is even a prophet in the old testament named Malak-ai (Malachi).

No, slander is untrue.
The word you are looking for is "Libel" - which is true, but harmful to the reputation and business of the plaintiff.
The man was factually a blasphemer, and was more concerned with making nice with the agents of rival faiths than tending to his own flock.
He was a politician.
There was nothing holy about him save for the appropriated trappings.
