Does the US still have a chance to win in a cold war against China? Anonymous 04/18/25 (Fri) 17:00:15 e73ca3 No. 13592362 [Last 50 Posts]
Blatant corruption and conflicts of interest are reaching ludicrous levels. Regulatory agencies are being put in straight-jackets or taken behind the woodshed. Top research institutions are being smashed. Government institutions and grantees are being buried in avalanches of red tape that seem intended to bring most activity to a screeching halt. The Civil Service is being fed into the wood chipper. Soon, no one who doesn't have a hole in their head will want to specialize in a career in federal or academic work. Even though there's been plenty of talk about fixing the deficit, the top spending areas remain untouched, the IRS is facing a 30% staff cut, and Congress is going ahead with more tax cuts that are likely to add $5.7T to the debt over the next decade.
To foreign states and private businesses alike, US economic, industrial, trade and security policy seem incoherent, non-credible and bipolar. There doesn't seem to be any real strategy. Other than in bold rhetoric, Trump and his lackeys seem uninterested in long term competition with China. In practice, they more interested in lining their own pockets, reshaping America in the image of North Korea, and unconditionally supporting Israel even at the expense of America's international standing. Thus, it seems inevitable that America will be forced to pass the torch of global political, technological and economic leadership to China in the near future.
Am I wrong in my assessment?

If the 1.4 billion chinese as a collective become 25% as good at all the things, hegimonic activity, that it means China is the new world super-power going forward and if they are not dragged out behind the shed and shot in the head, then President Xi is going to be dictating terms to Europe and America and the rest of the world in a few decades. The problem that you're not facing is that Chinese people are for the most part smarter than Europeans, smarter than Americans, because their system is designed to make them smarter. And so if a fight is not picked with Russia and China while there still is a half chance a win could be had, then it means you're all resigning to the Oligarchy of China being the one that is going to dictate to the whole world the basic conditions of existence and the tithe you have to pay me every week if you want to live.

Why, though? How did the US come to be ruled by such dysfunctional leadership? Even the first Trump administration was a lot less dysfunctional. Until recently, I thought a US-China cold war would last for decades before a clear winner would emerge. Now, it seems like it's over before it even really began.

The USMCA has about 500 million people, the EU has about 450 million people, Japan has about 125 million people, South Korea has about 50 million people. If the US had carefully marshaled its vassals, it should've been able to build an economic network of advanced economies with over 1.1 billion people that was outside of Chinese control, and that could've let the US compete with 1.4 billion Chinese. If the US had managed to flip Russia and the CIS as well, that would've been another ~200 million people plus many valuable resources and strategic geography. Then there's India and ASEAN. The US could've used diplomacy and economic cooperation to compete with 1.4 billion Chinese.

The chinks are not christian, it means that they do not have the evangelical missionary mindset to turn everything into copies of themselves. So this is very unlikely. Also, the chinks already believe that they live in the center of the world - the best place - so Europe is nothing but a bunch of strange aliens to them.

>How did the US come to be ruled by such dysfunctional leadership?
It was always like this. America has always been ruled by criminals. F.ex the Roosevelt clan made their fortune selling opium to the chinks. IIRC some other lesser american clan, I think it was the Romneys, also made their fortune doing this. America was originally ruled by criminal WASP families, and it was easily taken over by jews. What Trump has done is allying with one fraction of the jews - the israeli zionists - against another fraction - the woke globohomo jews. The ukraine project is theirs, and these globohomo jews want to start a second israel in Ukraine under the codename project heavenly jerusalem. This project is a mortal threat to the israeli zionist jews. Trump is their battering ram to make sure that does not happen.
Jews are parasites, when the ownership of the land lies completely in the hands of jews, they will start to unravel their hegemony by infighting, because there are no goys left.

Your sound like a commie plebbitor.
But yeah US has chance against China
1. It's fundamentals. China is 1.5 billions people. US is 150 milions, 10 times less (coloured population in US is even less than useless they have negative value). China became world factory and took place USA was in 1945 economically. US taking in China is midget fighting giant.
2. US democrats are absolutely self destructiv, their strategy of bring as much as possible if 3rd world illegals and making as much as possible of gibs is moving US off the cliff.
3. US is too devided politically to make coherent political moves. Half country drags US in one direction half in the another. It would be unironically better for US if Trump was dictatorike Putin, but this ain't happening and US would be spinning in one place, dragged by difference of political parties.
Trump, Kamala it doesn't matter, US is going down and China becoming world leader but I think China wouldn't be replacing US 1 to 1. China has no white men's guilt and saviors complex. They would be biting off pieces for themselves and wouldn't care about becoming world police.

It's been getting sold out by leadership for at least 60 years just with manufacturing. The problem is the paper Joseph McCarthy wrote about commies being in the US government showed that they were also all jews. This should have been fixed right then.
>Even the first Trump administration was a lot less dysfunctional.
Bullshit. He was firing everyone left and right and getting impeached the first time because the deep state was flipping out.
>Until recently, I thought a US-China cold war would last for decades before a clear winner would emerge.
Well technically the CCP leadership did declare war like decades ago against the US. Not sure why you're saying it's over. The Chinese are in a worse debt situation than the US. Now if they get BRICS going with a payment system then they might be alright but I don't expect any of those BRICS countries to trust one another.
Where there could be a collaberation going on with the US, China, Russia, etc. is that they all know the US Federal Reserve Notes are the problem with the global banking families and their Central Banks. So you could see this as a demolition of the US Federal Reserve Notes and then a new US gold backed Dollar, a decoupled Yuan now tied to a BRICS gold back unit or something similar. It would be a creation to go to a multipolar world and rug pull the banking families in the process.

Agree completely mysterious mod bro. It's like ive been saying for awhile now, the problem is systemic in nature. There is no fixing it at this point. Best we can do is drill a bunch of holes in the hull of the ship and hope that in the ensuing chaos enough enterprising people can dismantle parts of the ship to build life rafts. If we fail to do this they will just aquire more power and control until even the thought of reform is an impossibility. I suppose I'm abit of an accelerationist in this regard but I see literally no other choice.

>It's hard for me to believe that the rulers of China and the rulers of the US are somehow secretly in cahoots, especially for the purpose of ceding US hegemony to China.
America's ruling classes built modern China. American Jews put together the original CCP. They let Chinese steal our technology for the last 50 years. They dumb down our educational institutions and replace as many undergrads as they can with Thousand Talents kids of rich partymembers. They hire Chinese immigrants to fill up every nook and cranny of our Department of Energy and punish whistleblowers (many of whom posted on half/pol/) that call out the endless shady activity.
Any American could tell you that our ruling class is prepared to let America collapse, so the oligarchic and military elite can emerge from the ashes and rule over the mutt rabble. Our infrastructure in many places is 100 years old. Our media, food, and medicine has made us all sick, retarded, and insane. It's purposeful.
The Anglo-American sphere is in the final stages of a massive phase shift from stable republics of European-descended people to authoritarian multiethnic police states (Canada, Australia, and the UK are undergoing similar processes as us). Right now, we're in the transitional phase of the "Cloward-Piven Strategy", whereby our ruling elite deliberately collapse the system to rebuild it the way they want. The next decade is not going to be fun.

I think that is true in every country for the legions of regular low-level employees that people at the government agencies they usually interact with. Certainly, it is my experience here. However, that doesn't mean you can just carpet bomb those agencies. They serve a purpose.
Also, a government has more types of employees than just those retarded grunts. A government needs able and educated people to staff offices that handle important financial services, bond auctions, asset management, IT systems, economic policy planning, economic data analysis, epidemiology and public health data analysis, statistics and census data collection, industry regulation, research grant approvals, etc.
Even when government workers are not employable elsewhere, that can be because they have highly specialized training that is only really useful in the public sector (e.g. epidemiology) rather than because they lack ability. To simply slash and burn agencies, remove job protections and suddenly throw people out on the street will mean that no one will want to get specialized training that is only useful in the public sector. And if you slash and burn bomb agencies without spending much time analyzing what people there do, you're going to break things.

Doge was a dog and pony show, as Congress voted for many of the cuts to be reinstated (per Rand Paul), Trump is going bugly after anti semitism, Trump is attacking Harvard (one of the last universities on Natures top University list, the rest are in China), ceding economic power to China via China's rcep, striking out large parts of human rights abuses and focusing on mandated abuses like anti semitism, child marriages, labor violations, war crimes, and genocide; continues to encourage reckless spending, alienating allies and pushing them towards China, and talking about engaging in military misadventures on Greenland and Canada and Taza (Trump's Gaza). I am a little concerned too that RFK is shifting away from his original promises and is saying derpy things about autism and measles but at least he did cut the budget at the HHS. Tulsi seems like another neo con and Vance has seemed like the only adult in the room, but I am still a bit suspicious of him. I also was hopeful about the elimination of the income tax but I am worried that might be a carrot on a stick so we shall see. Regardless, if I don't find a job here soon I might move to China.

>China doesn't invent technology.
Aren't Chinese companies now technological leaders in, for example, LFP batteries, sodium-ion batteries, wind turbines, photovoltaics, nuclear reactors and telecommunications equipment? By that I mean they aren't just leaders in price but also in technology level
Pic 1 is share of standards essential patents in 5G according to a GreyB report from 2020
>you can't go by counting the number of papers published
Why not, if they're published in peer reviewed journals? Even if it's not super-original, it has to at least be something sensible to get published. China is now number one in several research indices, such as the Nature Index and share of 1% most cited papers. Even if it isn't entirely original, it should at least be indicative of China's potential for research that will eventually lead to new and better products

Why would you lead with a question if you supposedly already know the answer?
No, they aren't leading at any of this. Sodium-ion batteries are a US technology. So are nuclear coin-cell batteries. All of it is US tech.
They happen to make certain things cheaper, so they are the 'leaders' when it comes to sales. But they aren't leaders in the sense that they invented, perfected, researched, or developed these technologies. But you already know this. For some reason you didn't want to outright lie and claim all this, so you posed it as a question.
Posing a lie as a question is still lying. I'm guessing you're a kike, I notice kikes do this all the time.

The "American Century", in reality more like a half or 2/3rd century was an aberration, historically. The world is simply reverting to it's historically normal multipolar configuration. While this does mean US power receding, and Chinese increasing, it doesn't necessarily mean 21st century China will act like 20th century America, or that they even want that. China is an inherently inward focused country, and it's geographical location doesn't support global naval power projection like the USA's does. Here's my prediction, the USA will lose this trade war to China, it simply needs what China makes more than China needs to sell it to them. China being dependent on USA export markets was 20 or more years ago, it's simply not the case anymore. The US will either have to pay more or drop the tariffs, and given that there seems to be no real appetite for reducing debt and government spending levels, large drivers of the current inflation I predict the tariffs will be removed when their additional inflationary effect is felt. I many ways the competition is already over, the Chinese have already won and the question is more about what Chinese power and ambition will really look like. I think beyond trade it will be limited to Asia, they will have enough trouble trying to exert direct military power there let alone the rest of the world.

I don't want to come across as overly assertive since these are subjects on which I'm not an expert. I'm not a telco engineer or a wind turbine engineer. I don't preclude the possibility that I could be wrong in at least some areas
>Sodium-ion batteries are a US technology.
I think it's important to distinguish between "the first sodium ion battery ever made" and "the currently most commercially effective sodium ion battery technologies". I think sodium ion is more of a family of battery technologies than it is a specific battery design.
Wind turbines weren't invented in China, but they have designed and built some of the biggest ones, which must have required a lot of original R&D into materials and construction techniques

The US does not deserve to be the hegemon anymore. They are no longer a country to look up to, to use an example to follow. They have become self-centered, arrogant, and short-sighted. They may still be able to snatch a Pyrrhic victory here and there, but the American empire is over for good. It's not clear that China will be the new leader either. They are certainly more fit to lead the world than the US is today, but what follows is likely to be a multi-polar world, ridden with wars and conflict, until the time that perhaps, a new leader emerges.

Cutting off China is a good thing, the tariffs will be incentive for companies to move factories to the US. Just gradually moving everything back over the next few decades is no longer feasible, we had to have started decades ago. It's now or never and if the Democrats steal the next Presidential election they will just undo everything and give control back to China. So it has to be a shock move and he did it right away.
Bringing factory work back to the US will make us wealthier again as it has for every nation our globalist 'leaders' have patronized with our factories. It's why we were strong during and after the war. And if shit goes south with China or maybe a close ally or partner of theirs, we can't rely on China being a 'good free trade partner' in the middle of a war lol. It's now or never and it's not too late but it'll be more painful than if we had been smarter and NEVER DONE THIS and stuck with Japan and Korea and Singapore and Taiwan as our Asian-industrial bases.

If the US would stop spending billions annually on maritime trade security while simultaneously promoting the export of US manufacturing (and stopping the flood of brown people flooding America) the US could be entirely self sufficient. You are correct in your assessment. The United States of America has reached a point in its imperial and civilizational trajectory that only an Augustus or Aurelian quality hero can fix our issues. China will grow larger. As America wanes, the world heals.

So you’re saying capitalism is causing this? I agree with you anon. Capitalism is motivating our elites to spread degeneracy and race chaos around the world.

There is more to this than meets the eye. US can change on a dime, we've seen this before. In fact, one of the reasons Trump is still alive and is President again, and was before, is he has information. He is operating at a higher level of knowing what is going on than normal people or the news or even most politicians. He's probably the only President who has treated China like an actual adversary since forever ago. It's been decades. More than half a century. We've helped them rise up from being a peasant nation where almost all people subsisted in agricultural pursuits. I have an NHK documentary of China filmed back in 1979 and the country was basically just starting to experiment with modern cranes. It was medieval. Not even memeing. The question is, now that China is a full powered modern civilization, with a lot of influence inside and over the US by means of foreign influence in other nations… are we decoupling too late? Was it all a big mistake to begin with, ie should we have worked to keep China closed and contained better?
By all means watch this series. Just skip to some random episode and look at the absolute state of China in 1979:
