As a dissident living under the globohomo regime, WHY the FUCK aren't you tightening up your security and adjusting your practices to suit the current environment? It doesn't take a lot of work to beef up your security a bit, analyze which software you use and check for Free options, and switch.
If you're using Windows or Mac OS, consider NOT doing that. That's probably the biggest most positive change you can make to regain tech freedom and privacy. But smaller changes are possible too. Stop using Chrome - that's a big one. Don't use other Chrome forks either. They just switch out Jewgle for another globohomo operation which spies on you at least as much. Firefox is much better, you can provide it with a user.js script (popular ones are a search away on Github) which tightens up security and turns off unneeded garbage features.
Apple, Google, and MS all scan your devices now. Theoretically it's to combat pizza but nobody knows what they're really doing as it all involves one-way hashes. I suspect they are looking for anything naughty. Pirated media, copypastas, forbidden banned publications, anything that makes (((them))) mad basically. We won't know because this will all be handled through parallel construction.
Another thing you can do to beef up security is to find an old computer without Intel ME and spruce it up and use it. Old pre-OS X Macs, for instance - they seem to be nearly unexploitable because they don't listen for any services and TCP/IP is just strapped on. Haiku is now in a usable state. 9front is too. The possibilities are nearly endless here. I like old SGI gear, Thinkpads, Macs, and Apple IIs myself. And I'm thinking of getting a Steam Deck instead of another iPad because Apple has gone full globohomo since Tim Cook took over.

One alt-tech / opsec tip - Tor Browser now caches the IPs of your connection so it can 'instantly' connect when you launch it again. This is poor security and I believe it was done to make it easier to unmask Tor users.
You can easily get rid of this cache by deleting /TorBrowser-Data/Tor/ under your home directory (on Unix-likes, not sure about Windows or OS X where it's probably stored under ~/Library/Preferences/) so it will be forced to find a new route and connect to different servers each time. The downside is it takes 1-2 minutes to connect vs. being ready in seconds but… if the point of Tor is anonymity what's a minute or two? Launch it and take a whiz or get a fresh cuppa. It'll be ready by the time you're done.
