This is all I said:
Kiwifarms is anti-Socratic in nature, as rather than engaging in dialogue or critical thinking, the users would often dismiss viewpoints based purely on the number of downvotes/reactions. It discourages independent thought and encourages conformity, replacing reasoned discourse with mob judgement.
There is clearly a reason why some people are attracted to websites like Reddit/Kiwifarms. They are protected by the mob and as long as they follow the mob mentality, they are protected. They are literal sheep, but they cannot see this for themselves. There's even another concept these sheep are attracted to in what I call "forum celebrities". This is obviously due to having to create an account and the ability for users to see the karma/reputation a user has based on their posts and comments, which influences the sheep's opinion of this user, even if whatever they say is true.
This concept is foreign for chan users now refugees like us, who crave discourse without bias, which is what I consider to be the only and proper form of having a discussion online.
