I don't know about dungeons and dragons but I have seen demons before! Most of the time when I had serious withdrawals from binge drinking and suddenly quitting, but not all the time I could physically see them, most of the time I could only hear them. I later found out certain frequencies of music makes them go away, for example, they tend to hate certain Doo Wop music, and they absolutely get driven away by Slim Whitman and Skeeter Davis! On the other hand, they like a lot of the rock n' roll from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and I do too but that's why I can't play that music as much anymore, because I'm afraid they'll come back to haunt me. Physically demons just appear as random people and mumble gibberish or violent chants, and then next time you look their way they're gone but then the whispering of suicide and killing people can be heard. Ignore them and play some Slim Whitman!

Also, I do predict demons can sense panic, stress and fear, where ever they may be. My guess is they are attracted to high levels of cortisol in the blood, and thus desire bloodshed as a sacrifice to feed from, so they can gain supernatural strength!
