President Trump called for a National Day Of Prayer for today.

Matthew 6:7

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words

I have heard that passage before and it made me pray in a different way. So as not to repeat, I try to build the strongest set of prayers. I can edit, delete, and add at any time.

Prayer isn't about demanding things from God. You have to praise Him first, then you can beg Him for things.

Forgiveness is the most important thing you can ask God for; if God forgives you, everything else will be taken care of.

The nice thing is everyone can pray however they want. I praise God everyday and ask forgiveness for my sin and forgive myself. I think everyone has to ask forgiveness for their sins themselves. These are not demands just requests.

Just wanted to say this prayer is great and I'll use it for my own site.

I also don't often pray because of Matthew 6:7, but now I realize it can be a helpful way to focus on what's important and what's in God's hands.

Also, God doesn't have a problem with repetitions, OP, it's okay to repeat if the repetition is sincere. God himself repeats things, like when he asked Peter three times "Do you love me?". Like even the angels repeat "Holy Holy Holy", but they do it sincerely. Don't repeat vainly though.
