>was a German sociologist and fascist who wrote on the political behavior of intellectual elites and contributed to elite theory. He is best known for his book Political Parties, published in 1911, which contains a description of the "iron law of oligarchy." He was a friend and disciple of Max Weber, Werner Sombart and Achille Loria. Politically, he moved from the Social Democratic Party of Germany to the Italian Socialist Party, adhering to the Italian revolutionary syndicalist wing and later to Italian Fascism, which he saw as a more democratic form of socialism. His ideas provided the basis of moderation theory which delineates the processes through which radical political groups are incorporated into the existing political system.

>(((Moses Hess))) 1845
>The Essence of Money
powerful pamphlet against finance and liberalism by Marx' pal and mentor. today it would be immediately identified as antisemitism.
> The economists even claim that the value of a man would increase to the extent that he was no longer sold and was consequently obliged, in order to live, to himself sell himself; they draw the conclusion from this that the “free” man has more “value” than the slave. This is quite true. Hunger is a much stronger impulse to work than the slaveowner’s whip and greed for money a much stronger incentive for the private owner to exert his energies than the condescending smile of the satisfied lord. The economists forget only that the “value” of “freedom” must fall to the extent that it becomes more general. The more “free” men there are rushing to do slave labour, i.e., the more there are on sale, the cheaper they will be or are. Accursed competition ruins the price of “free” men and in fact on the basis of egoistic private acquisition there is no other way to restore the “value” of men than the re-establishment of slavery. *
>The Jews had the world-historic mission in the natural history of the social animal world of developing the beast of prey out of man; they have finally fulfilled their mission. The mystery of Judaism and Christianity has been made public in the modern Jewish-Christian world of shopkeepers. The mystery of the blood of Christ, like the mystery of the old Jewish blood cult, appears here finally completely unveiled as the mystery of the beast of prey.
>There reigns, as has been said, a poetry-less freedom of beasts of prey based on the equality of death. In face of money kings are no longer entitled to conquer as the lions of the animal-men, just as little as the gloomy priests still have the right to refresh themselves with the smell of corpses because they are their hyenas. Rather have they only the right, like the other animal-men, arising from common natural right, from their common quality of beasts of prey, bloodsuckers, Jews, money-wolves.
*(last crucial sentence fixed by me, the translation on marxists.org or fucked it up, just another coincidence)
>und es gibt in der That, auf der Basis des egoistischen Privaterwerbes, kein anderes Mittel, den „Werth“ des Menschen wieder zu heben, als die Wiederherstellung der Sklaverei.

The Trouble With Macroeconomics
Paul Romer, Stern School of Business, New York University
>Delivered January 5, 2016 as the Commons Memorial Lecture of the Omicron Delta
Epsilon Society. Forthcoming in The American Economist.
For more than three decades, macroeconomics has gone backwards. The
treatment of identification now is no more credible than in the early 1970s
but escapes challenge because it is so much more opaque. Macroeconomic
theorists dismiss mere facts by feigning an obtuse ignorance about such simple
assertions as "tight monetary policy can cause a recession." Their models
attribute fluctuations in aggregate variables to imaginary causal forces that
are not influenced by the action that any person takes. A parallel with string
theory from physics hints at a general failure mode of science that is triggered
when respect for highly regarded leaders evolves into a deference to authority
that displaces objective fact from its position as the ultimate determinant of
scientific truth.

http://gen.lib.rus.ec/book/index.php?md5=2F10F70CD69BD721B3563504E369C4BE
>Laurence H. Shoup - Wall Street's Think Tank: The Council on Foreign Relations and the Empire of Neoliberal Geopolitics, 1976-2014
>The Council on Foreign Relations is the most influential foreign-policy think tank in the United States, claiming among its members a high percentage of government officials, media figures, and establishment elite. For decades it kept a low profile even while it shaped policy, advised presidents, and helped shore up U.S. hegemony following the Second World War. In 1977, Laurence H. Shoup and William Minter published the first in-depth study of the CFR, Imperial Brain Trust, an explosive work that traced the activities and influence of the CFR from its origins in the 1920s through the Cold War.
>Now, Laurence H. Shoup returns with this long-awaited sequel, which brings the story up to date. Wall Street’s Think Tank follows the CFR from the 1970s through the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union to the present. It explains how members responded to rapid changes in the world scene: globalization, the rise of China, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the launch of a “War on Terror,” among other major developments. Shoup argues that the CFR now operates in an era of “Neoliberal Geopolitics,” a worldwide paradigm that its members helped to establish and that reflects the interests of the U.S. ruling class, but is not without challengers. Wall Street’s Think Tank is an essential guide to understanding the Council on Foreign Relations and the shadow it casts over recent history and current events.

>Makes his fortune from undercutting US businesses, knowingly exporting dodgy knock-offs
>Gets buttpained at the Chinese out-jewing the jew
>Comes back to US some years later
>Drops by random US factory that goes back in the family for generations
>Tells woman at front desk he is a broker/i/e from China and wants to look around the factory
>Woman says it isn't appropriate to let a stranger who is the very example of who is driving them out of business
>Proceeds to rant about how much of an arsehole she was for not letting him in
>Says factory wouldn't be struggling so much if they were nicer to people like him
Never been as angry from such an overall boring book
Would at least recommend to anons who don't know how dreadful China and the Chinese are, and to see how the jew does his """""business""""

Why can't commies be honest about anything? To ask is to answer I suppose. Hess was hardly pro-German and he literally was Marx's friend and mentor, that they later fell out has no bearing on the fact. That quote is in the context of recognizing the German race as an obstacle he wanted to eliminate. His "race based socialism" was for jews only.

>John T. Flynn - Men of Wealth; The Story of Twelve Significant Fortunes from the Renaissance to the Present Day
bio
https://mises.org/profile/john-t-flynn
>This book reminds us what a remarkable writer and journalist John T. Flynn truly was. It is a first-class business history, by any standard. It is the story of great fortunes made by the most notable men of wealth in history: Jacob Fugger, John Law, Nathan Rothschild, Thomas Gresham, Robert Owen, Cornelius Vanderbilt, and all the way through J.P. Morgan and J.D. Rockefeller.
>But there is a special twist to the story: the author understands economics and the state, so he has a special eye for ferreting out the difference between market means and unjust means of acquiring wealth. The stories are all fascinating and the prose is impeccable.

Was hoping to see Web of Debt posted in here, never heard of The Lost Science of Money, I'll check it out. Thanks for posting anon.
Personally I think there's nothing wrong with "printing money", so long as it's done for socially responsible things. It's no different than favors between friends, moved on to a government/national level.
Private Central Banks have usurped this power in order to draw all nations under a global fiat currency. Two competing nations will be tempted to out-print one another to attain economic dominance, but under a global currency unit this is not possible. Hence their multi-century long plan to draw all nations into irrepayable debt, where they'll have no choice but to accept this fiat global currency to maintain their economies.

I can recommend James Rickards books Currency Wars and The Death of Money on this topic. I don't have PDF's of them but they're easily found, also audiobook versions are on TPB and youtube.
tl;dr governments can create money and tax it back out of society and that works just fine. the addition of interest on money creation itself is a tool used by globalists as a leash on nations, to control them beyond their governments and draw them under their own global fiat currency unit, the SDR, which will force equanimity in international trade. And they're totally gonna get it. Godspeed IMF.
Right now the Fed is tightening bank credit while the rest of the world is running on zero-rate policy (lol), they're going to cause another crisis as usual, which will force governments to accept their demands lest their economies wither away. As they get that the Fed will go 180 and start monetizing debt in some fashion. We'll all follow Japan basically. Right now I'm expecting deflation, then a wave of inflation as Fed moves from tightening to easing/more QE. I'm mainly holding cash and building a position in some cheaper gold miners. Cryptocurrency is also an attractive hold, even with bitcoin's insane appreciation. But mostly I'm just holding cash.
