NoFap doesn't work for me. I've tried years with barely any improvement to my streaks.

I can confirm. Every time I try jerking off without porn I always end up worse off than if I'd just edged for a few hours, which is still a terrible behavior obviously.

Right now I'm getting into meditation in a big way. Some of the higher concentration states are supposed to be intensely pleasurable. I'm hoping these will provide me with a healthier alternative to porn.

Porn is definitely my bane, no matter what, even if I don't feel overly aroused, I get anxious and feel like seeing some tiddies, either degenerate 3dpd, or the animy kind, specially in form of vidya that is my weak spot.

I think it should work, if you must fap but without watching porn, I tried this first, the problem though is that you keep your libido up, dry fapping is not nearly as satisfying as watching porn, and even when I manage to go a long nofap streak the porn is always what draws me in.

So definitely this is the worst part of the equation, its the dangerous one, I don't have the answer yet, but sure we have to try get away from it. When I did I had just broken up with my ex and kept using sweet memories of when we were together as material, this didn't go well because it made me miss her harder. At the same time, its better to use something like that than straight porn, so if you feel like starting to succumb to temptation, watching porn and whatnot, do no fap at the same time, might be a good thing experiment with.

My success in noporn eventually lead me to nofap. For those with a serious porn addiction, it may be a better way of starting the journey to improvement.

What do you mean long-term? I did no-fap 1 month once, and I've done no-porn 4 or 5 months a couple times. No-porn tends to make me stop hating myself for a while so I can get some other things in my life on track. Both ways are ultimately a self-help tool, but they might be ends-in-themselves if you hate porn that badly.
