Traditionally, we have always been underrepresented. A monarchist can't win the political game easily. The most successful royalist movement had been Action Française. The rest of the royalist movements were from times of dire defense for the monarchy.
The democratic system never favors a monarchy for a few reasons. There are countries who ban the monarchy from returning and try to lock away all hope. There are unknown forces working behind the scenes who would never allow a monarchy. The last prospect is the nature of a democracy never permits the legitimate rule of a monarchy so easily. It is difficult to appeal to the masses from our perspective. It isn't impossible, but it is very hard.
The inherent contradiction for monarchists is striving for political control to enable an authoritarian government. All political forces are inept unless they serve the sovereignty of a monarchy. But Action Française was very successful. Charles Maurras was very smart and managed to become a prominent member without being the leader. Their problem was being forbidden after the papal condemnation being touched and uplifted when it was realized other dangers in the Spanish Civil War and the rise of fascism in Italy.

The leftists call them proto-fascist for a reason. Politically active, but they tried to not denounce other political groups except for the obvious enemies.I always felt that Charles Maurras and his leadership skills enabled the success. We have another thread about tactics in politics.
We advocated a variety of strategies like a coup, counter-revolution, foreign intervention, or a restoration. Political strategies are difficult. They do require organization. In my last post, I thought it was okay to form a political movement on behalf of a sovereignty, but I doubt they would become the victors in parliament. The end-goal is becoming anti-parliamentarian.
My greatest advice is cultivating strength and proper leadership skills. We have to recognize our intial lack of control and embrace it. What is political is divisive and what is cultural is unifying. Before such a political movement can be successful, it needs to cultivate a cultural strength.

You should actually look into it. I'm very unsure what Charles Maurras did to become so successful. From what I gather, monarchists have power in becoming a cultural force before becoming a political force. They need to be the righteous ones. They need to be unifying. It will allow leaders to think carefully and assist growth.
I'm more concerned about leadership before the movement of a party. It was always great leaders who favored and restored monarchies. We need to develop good leaders before we can have good political movements.
