There's a non-zero chance that 8chan wil get Zucced as a result of this. On the off-chance that happens, it may be in our interest to designate some other imageboard as a "bunker" in which we may congregate should this place go down. Any initial candidates? Livebunker.rocks is the only one of which I know, but it's more chatroom than true imageboard.

I'd probably go back to wizchan until some new sites are put up. Likely what will happen is the balkanization of imageboards, which in my opinion is a good thing. The concentration of power of so many communities in 8chan makes it vulnerable to control by spooks. See here:

On the negative it would result in a lot more petty moderation abuse since there'd be less oversight, but I think it would be worth it to get away from centralization. However, it is for this reason (centralization) that I highly doubt the government will aim at shutting down 8ch. If the cianiggers have any prudence at all they'd want to completely subvert and control this place as a honeypot and a source of somewhat controlled opposition – assuming that this already hasn't happened.
