7月14日是法國國慶日，國慶閱兵典禮上其中1項新潮表演「飛行滑板」，引起現場觀禮貴賓喝采。法國總統馬克宏希望藉由閱兵大典，展現歐陸軍事合作力量。
綜 合媒體報導，40歲的法國發明家兼前水上摩托車冠軍選手薩帕塔（Franky Zapata），14日在馬克宏和歐盟（EU）各國領導人面前表演飛行滑板（Flyboard），在香榭麗舍大道的上空飛翔，表演過程中，薩帕塔手中揮舞 1把步槍，象徵這項發明也可做為軍事用途。法國國防部長（Florence Parly）指出，飛行滑板可針對不同用途進行測試，例如作為飛行的後勤平台，甚至是主動攻擊的平台。

世界西洋棋聯會宣佈，在法國進行的一場比賽中，俄國的西洋棋大師Igors Rausis被抓到作弊。
今年58歲的Rausis出生於蘇聯，他目前代表捷克共和國參賽，之前代表過拉脫維亞和孟加拉國。他在 1992 年成為西洋棋大師，目前排名第53位。此外，他也是目前世界西洋棋大師排名一百名的名單中，年紀最大的一位。
不過，Igors Rausis由於在最近幾年以一種不合常理的速度，快速竄起他的排名，因此世界西洋棋聯會早就開始注意他，將他列為注意對象。
大會人員並且取出他藏在廁所裡的手機，在人贓俱獲之下，Rausis 承認自己用手機作弊，並表示自己已經「下完最後一盤棋」，意指自己將會退出棋壇。
