That sounds like a fun game!
Hungary have some really good classical composer, i especially like the tunes from Bartók. I also heard that hungary have some nice foods, but i never tried them - could you kindly share some recipes from your cuisine, please?
What do you like about Croatia and Slovakia?
As for me, I'm from Germany. For historical friends, thats a hard question due to our rather complex past - I think we want to make our mistakes up and be friends with everyone now.
Personal, i'd love to visit iceland and india in my lifetime.

Thanks. We mostly eat meat and spicy foods. We have hungarian variants of german foods (thanks to the danubian swabians) we also have something like the blutwurst but they are made with rice. My favourite dish would be Stuffed cabbage (Töltött Káposzta) https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/26661/stuffed-cabbage-rolls/
I guess you could give Goulasch a try (the soup not the austrian version)

Why I like Croatia and Slovakia? for Croatia they are really nice people they also like us we share a common history. for Slovakia pretty much the same and they make pretty good food and I like Mountains.

Hey, I'm from Slovenia and live just next to your border where a large Hungarian community is :) But sadly Hungary is still a bit of a mystery here.
I honestly like all our neighbours. Austira, Hungary, Croatia and Italy are all great and it would be unfair for me to only pick two

That's a good idea actually.
I like the Hungarian exotic origins in the steppe nomads, and their skill in horsemanship probably the best knights in all of Europe.

I like the history of Germany from tribal confederacies to a loosely united HRE, into one of the greatest states of Europe and in the modern day one of the most important pillars of the EU. Now that I think about it, German could have very easily become the lingua franca of Europe.
Portugal only has one historical friend, the UK though they're still Perfidious Albion to us. Personally I like China for their long history and the USA for their founding principles and for how much it has been able to do in such a short (relative) time-span.

I'm from the United States of America, specifically the great State of Jefferson (under construction, and currently on fire). I suppose our most consistent historical friend has been France, and of course as a country founded by English settlers and still principally Anglophone, we have a close connection with the U.K. as well. For my part, as a German-American, I have a familial affection for that country, and as a lover of separatist movements, vast forests, snowy winters, and voyageurs, I can't help but like Quebec and the Quebecois.

The exploits of Portugese seamen during the early part of the Age of Sail were truly legendary stuff, and absolutely have to evince one's admiration. Even way out here, on the rock and fog bound shore I live by, remote even in the 21st century, one of the first Europeans to settle the area was a Portugese whaler in the 1850s.

I was born in a small West Indian island but live and work in maple land now. This board is relatively small and slow so that's as specific I'll choose to be

The State of Jefferson was a proposed idea that include the Northern end of California alognside the Southern end of Oregon in order to better handle the needs of citizens living within that particular area due to CA having a huge population focused heavily in cosmopolitan/suburban areas causing a severe imbalance in both state representation and politics with a huge Democrat presence in the state government that only appeals to the cosmopolitan voterbase. Also, the CalExit Referendum that's up for next year was originally to secede CA from the Union but has split into a series of plan that started with many Republican areas thankfully OC was amongst them being split from the heavy cosmopolitan Bay Area to form 2 Californias; then came the clusterfuck that was 3 Californias where each one would have a huge city consisting of Democratic voterbase, essentially changing nothing; finally, the newest plan currently is that CA would be split in half vertically where an "autonomous nation" of Native American peoples can live, which is extremely fucked up because the territories they plant to split are essentially barren, prone to natural disasters such as wildfires, or just Mountainous desert.
Such is life in the Great Democratic People's Republic of Chin- I mean California.

Post-war Germany doesn't get attention because there was no culture around at the time but I like that within itself; the whole reconstruction of Germany and the awkward void that WW2 had left on the country.

The northwest and rural Pacific is my favorite place in America with New England and Appalachia behind it. Lots of nature, few people aside from the limbo if its urban areas, cowboys and other nice folk, generally feels very free and away from the urban sprawl which is why so many people moved there ironically fueling more urban sprawl.

State of Franklin In Appalachia is similar; we tried to separate the third time from the rest of TN/NC but lost a two-thirds majority by a single swing vote.

A tragedy really, luckily for me people emigrate from my country leaving me plenty of small towns to choose from. Wonder what I'd do there though.

Were you a part of Persia in the past? That'd explain the -stan suffix. Also, any reason as to why you want to visit Portugal, not a very unique place imo.
