I haven't been paid for a single day of work in my life, except the one time the guy hiring me was probably younger than me.
To hell with work, work ethic, and old people.

I don't know if it counts, but I come in two times a week to do data entry for a medical university. My work consists almost entirely of entering questionnaires into SPSS for the researchers who don't have the time to do it themselves.
It's a very comfy job. My mom works in the same department, which is how I got the job, so we eat lunch together, and my coworkers (for lack of a better term) are really nice and down to earth. The only issue is that I don't have a permanent position, so I'm sort of penalized for working hard because 1) I can't make any demands for better ergonomics and 2) there's a finite amount of work.

I'm starting a job this Monday. The pay is not good but its aligned with what I studied. I'm gonna coding in python and C++
Prior to that I was unemployed, prior to that working for dad being paid less than min wage. That job was a mix of manual labor, office work and customer relation bullshit.
I was NEET for a while. It was simultaneously great but also hell. You cannot be NEET if you have a conscience. The longer you are NEET, the deeper that hole becomes to climb out.

I work as security guard, I actually got paid to house keep a in-construction apartment for a few months, I spent that time watching anime and movies. Unfortunately for me they've switched me over to working in grocery stores. I hate it and I'm terrible at it. I would of started looking for a new job if it wasn't for the fact that I've had 5 in the space of 2 years.

I'm still a full time student for the most part.
I've had a couple jobs and done a few internships, mostly with reasonable pay.
Most recently I interned at a laser precision micro-manufacturing company where I was part of the research and development lab. Right now I'm working as a pest control technician. Pay is decent, but the hours are long and very physically demanding. Sort of glad I'm such a shut in so I don't have to worry about having a social life.

I've had shit jobs so far, manual labour like warehouse work and fast food. The warehouse work was hell since I had no training and I was thrown into it despite the job listing being a retail one dealing with customers instead of being carted off to an industrial estate lifting Christmas trees for 12 hours a day. Thankfully they eventually dropped me after a week when I refused to do that again and wanted to actually do the job that was advertised.
The fast food job isn't as bad but the one I work at is owned by a husband and wife who cut corners in everything, and I'm pretty sure they embezzle money. It doesn't help that I live in a shitty council estate and so we have to deal with absolute scum, although they seem to have an aversion to dealing with me for some reason. My co-workers are mostly nice people, which makes me feel bad because I can't relate to them at all and they always invite me to parties and nights out. In the 3 years I've worked there I've been out with them once and it was exhausting for me.
I just want a job where I don't have to deal with anyone face-to-face anymore and I can be a shut-in. I don't think I want to be a NEET again since I felt worse then. I could blame a whole host of things for my situation but if I'm really honest it's because I'm terminally lazy. I have a degree but I settle for being at the bottom because it seems like less work and I hate unfamiliar things. I'm going to try to get some career advice in the next couple of weeks. I have an idea of what I want, it's just getting there that's the problem.
Er, this is probably a longer response than you were expecting.

Sounds like government work. I'm just starting my job, but every time I think about how great the hours are and how relaxed the work seems I get an equal and opposite feeling when I realize I'm a second-degree thief taking tax money.

What's the opposite then? For-profit businesses don't exactly run on on goodwill and benevolence either. Being a well-rested second-degree tax-thief seems better than being a frustrated and overworked tax-evader. Please don't be too hard on yourself, friend, and excuse me for the unkind reply.

I work part time as a janitor. It's not bad work at all, but I'd like something with more hours.
